This will give you a grasp on the Bibles foundation. Then when you have developed a feel for the Bible, go back and read Genesis through Revelation. It is a never ending learning process. Best of luck to you.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. ( Matthew 24:42-44)
Matthew 7:15-20 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
True prophets teach the word of God.
False prophets teach their own words.
Look at the teachings of Jim Jones of the People's Temple and David Koresh of Waco and compare them to that of Billy Graham and John R. Rice and you will have a clear picture of the differences.
Joshua's original name was Hoshea as derived from YAHWEH meaning salvation, referring to the Hebrew God. What a name for a great, but mere man!

We are not justified by the laws but by the faith in Jesus, the things of the law we do through faith not works. If we look to the law to do the law that is works and we are not saved by works but we are saved by grace and belief in Jesus. Just a few scriptures, and few of Jesus's commandments are; Follow Him, Repent, Don't Lust, Love and pray for your enemies, Love one another, Love God, etc. I know you may not agree but the ten commandments are part of the Law.
Gal.5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Ephesians 2:15-16 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Gal.2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
God blessings

There are Christians who are old earth creationists (OEC) who are NOT evolutionary creationists. I believe "And God said..." and He caused that thing to happen, not the slow evolution of all life from one organism by random selection and mutation.
Frankly, both sides, YEC & OEC, have their strengths and weaknesses. I was a YEC for a long time, decades. I've read a lot and listened to both sides. OEC makes the most sense to my reading of Scripture and scientific observation.
Psalm 19 declared both the "book" of nature revelation and The Book of supernatural revelation. A correct interpretation of BOTH is essential. I know that's what we all try to do. We have trouble with both in some cases. The MAIN things are the PLAIN things: who God is, who we are, how things got broke, God's plan to fix it, what we need to do. The NON-MAIN things: well we need to be charitable and allow for liberty among Christians. Doesn't mean we can't argue our points. But please, do not mischaracterized another's point of view. As an OEC, I am not an evolutionist in any sense that supports macro evolution, common descent by random selection and mutation!
I think that if we could sit down and look each other in the eye and talk, we would have MORE important, significant things in common than not. And we could discuss those secondary areas where we disagree with civilly and with an open mind. I could be wrong and I'm willing to admit it.
(Unfortunately, there are preachers who cram too many secondary things into the MAIN things, in my opinion.)
A little further down, Ezekiel 21:18-20 identifies two lands chosen for destruction: Ammonites (US) and Jerusalem (Israel).
I will die a happy man knowing that America and Israel got stuffed before they succeeded in ruling the world for a thousand years from Israel, like our savior Jesus Christ will. It couldn't happen to two kinder, gentler nations. Reap the worldwind, pay the piper.
The rapture is at the end, at the 7th trumpet, and for the very few who survived the chaos. We haven't been hit with the 6th trumpet yet ( Isaiah 13, Isaiah 47, Rev 18), the day of the Lord, the abomination of desolation set in America, or the invasion and captivity of Israel. You'll have to make it through anti-christ's 42 month rule before any intervention occurs. Everything Biblical has a specific order and time-line to be fulfilled.
Happy birthday!!!
Acts 7:2-10. And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.
And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.
And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
Abraham is a great study, And always ask questions and seek answers. Thank you.
That being said, figuratively there was the possessed man at the beginning and the freed man at the end of the encounter.
The same can be said for everyone that is made free by Jesus.
Even you.
