WHY DO PEOPLE NOT REST ON THE SABBATH DAY / SEVENTH DAY?

And God RESTED on the SEVENTH DAY.

And God BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY and SANCTIFIED the SEVENTH DAY.

Many have changed the day of rest from the SEVENTH DAY to the first day.

There are TWO Biblical reasons people believe this.

1) The first day of the week is the day that Matthew 28:1, Mark and Luke 23:55, 24:2 relate that the sepulchre was opened and Jesus was not found there.

2) During the 40 days that Jesus was on earth before He rose into heaven He appeared to His disciples seven times. Five of the seven times Jesus met with them on the FIRST DAY of the week. The other two times, the day is not mentioned. Look at Mark 16:9-13, Mark 16:14-18, Luke 24:13-33, Luke 24:34, Luke 24:36-44, John 20:11-23, John 20:26-29.

None of the examples given above concerning the FIRST DAY of the week allow any authority for us to change the SEVENTH DAY to the FIRST DAY.

Jesus NEVER GAVE AUTHORITY TO DO THIS.

( Mark 2:27-28) "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath."

If we believe in the Father and His only begotten Son, then we have Christ in us every day, not just one day per week.

This new understanding is an enhancement of the 7th day, not the abolishing of it. It was made to last FOREVER. This is a day that God BLESSED and SANCTIFIED!

Christ ALWAYS honored the Sabbath.

The Apostles kept the Sabbath AFTER CHRIST DIED; look at Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44, Acts 16:13, etc.

Pentecost is a holy SABBATH day; i.e. a day of rest.

In Acts 17:2 and Acts 18:4, Paul is continually feeding the people Scripture on the SABBATH. Christ never abolished the Sabbath; neither did Paul. God never said anything concerning that fact, and if He wanted that day changed He would have made it abundantly clear.

Further study concerning the importance of the Seventh Day can be found throughout ALL Scripture; as well as in the Book of Enoch.

I also suffer from anxiety and depression, and am on meds, we were going through trials and I couldn't stop crying, everything kept hitting us from every side, so I started looking up scripture on depression and anxiety and trails and watching every video from Charles Stanley on what I was going through I kept reading and reading and reading some more and pray pray pray and pray some more keep your eyes and mind on God. He has delivered me, I'm still on my meds but He has given me a peace that surpasses all understanding. Ask God to search your heart for anything that could be hindering your walk with Him. Make sure there is sin you have forgotten to repent for and you have truly forgiven anyone who has hurt you or you have anything against. This all can hinder your prayers, your walk with Him and it can also hinder your prayers. Surrender your life completely to Him seek Him with ALL your heart mind and soul. God puts us through trails for many reasons, either because of something we have done, sin in our lives, to get us to put our trust completely in Him or to get us ready for the next season of our lives. God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. It may seem like He like He's not there but He is. Keep your eyes, your mind and your heart on God and seek Him with ALL your heart and soul. God bless you and I pray for strength to get you through this season of your life.

Yes you are a candidate for salvation. You must repent of all sins and come to Jesus for forgiveness. You need to start reading your Bible too. Open it to the Book of

I think if you search the History of how Jesus looked, you will find a some what of a description. Was he a Jew? Etc. What area was He from ? What kind of hair did He have? Smiles

Depression is demonic. How it got in is usually from what we confess over ourselves. You need to fill yourself up on more Bible. Read it out loud and make that demon listen to it too.

Yes, God knows your heart. He knows when people are genuinely sorry and repentant of their sins. We all sin and God chose plenty of highly imperfect people for His special work. The man who wrote more books of the Bible than anyone else used to murder Christians. God can forgive anyone thanks to Jesus paying our debt. But we need to actively follow Him and genuinely repent of our sins in my opinion. Some people use grace as an excuse to sin and enjoy living in the world, but that's not following Jesus. If we don't follow Jesus we will go to hell.

Ok, I've checked out the dollar bill & picked up on the various things to note on it. But that nasty spider remains elusive! I also read up on the original reasons for this design (with its pyramid, eye, etc.) & it appears to have been so printed for more honourable reasons. I looked at a website (& others) called Biblewheel & then to the 'Great Seal' to get a fuller understanding of this. But I do take your point, that this design does smack of a Masonic/New Age appearance; I wonder whether we as Christians should be unduly perturbed by this: after all it is still legal tender & doesn't deter from our using it & its acceptability. "I am" can only communicate with you through Means. What are these Means? The WORD, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper, are the only way to hear, learn, keep, and know who "I am" is. Listen to "I am". Read the WORD for in it you have eternal life. No man can come to "I am" but by JESUS the "I am". By HIS undeserved LOVE, HE gave you the "Gift" of Faith and not you saying I have faith because I "chose to accept "I am". Be far from it. "I am" the way the Truth and the LIfe. But as I have loved them I sent my Son "I AM" to be a sacrifice for the entire world that through HIM JESUS THE "I AM" was crucified and was resurrected and now all those who believe it have hope, peace, and love for one another to meet them in the clouds when I come back on that great and final Day. Faith in the Christ "I am" is all I ask of you, because I AM LOVE. The "I AM" Holy Spirit will guide you through this life to to know and learn of Me and my LOVE for you through the Word, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper. Bob, I fully agree that Israel, both then & now are in a terrible spiritual state, even those of them that have 'a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge'. They have indeed proven themselves unworthy to partake of the Grace of God & are entirely reprobate.

Yet, how do we account for the many Scriptures from both the OT & NT, that show that even in spite of their spiritual condition, they will still figure very prominently in the last days & even at the appearing of the One Whom they pierced. Zechariah chapters 12 to 14 clearly show a coming time when Israel will not only be protected but will be restored back to their position according to election.

So, is there "another plan of salvation for unbelieving Jews?" I see that those Jews living at the time of Christ's coming, as also the remnant of the Gentiles, will have the opportunity to partake in Jesus' Millennial reign. Many I know will refuse, but for the Jews who knew the Scriptures & see the Messiah of God come in fulfilment of those Scriptures will have their eyes opened & experience that glorious light that will pierce those long deceived & clouded hearts.

What does this healing & restoration then do to the preaching of the Gospel before that time? Why do we bother now if there exists a further opportunity for the remnant on the Earth to be saved? I understand that the Gospel is preached now so people everywhere, at their death, can enter into eternity with God as their Father rather than be estranged from Him forever in Hell. The Great Tribulation will decimate the world's population, as no virus can, but those who survive that, including Israel, will still live on: some to live with Christ in His Kingdom on Earth, & others rejecting Christ, outside those walls & destined to the Lake of Fire at their death. To wipe out Israel altogether from prophecy about her, would be very difficult & dangerous for me to do.

It's my opinion that if you doubt your sincerity at the time your were baptized then I would do it again. There is no penalty for being baptized again and rededicating yourself. However, if you were sincere then fell away and are coming back again I personally don't think baptism each time you sin or fall away is necessary. There's nothing wrong with doing it either, but are other ways to recommit and return to following Jesus more closely. I was baptized when I was young and in later years I doubted my sincerity so I was baptized again and was glad I did. God bless!
