What does verse corrithians 7:36 mean
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
Are we reading the same chapter? Why would you assume that God stopping evil is through anger? Isn't it good to stop evil and isn't that what most people pray for? If evil people were murdering your family, for example, would you pray for that to be stopped or just conclude that it's wrong to stop the murderers?

God's heart was grieved in verse 6 over how deeply wicked the people were and filled with endless violence- verse 11. God was more likely sad than mad as you claim with no evidence of. It was probably complete anarchy and chaos with people murdering and oppressing each other endlessly. We see signs of culture today gravitating to that and is no doubt the work of the devil enticing people to taste blood and harm others. Our life is temporary on earth. We will all face judgment before God. Blasphemy of the holy spirit is an unforgivable sin and those daring to call God evil are walking that road. God loves you enough to die for you.

Verse 6: An indication to exercise discrimination when giving or offering charity to those less fortunate. Should we give example to non-believers or followers of other religions if in dire straits? or is this just supporting the devil his evil doers? It is written 'love thy neighbor as thy self' but is this for neighbors who are believers in Jesus Christ? Lots to consider here...

3-5 speaks to the eunuchs, those that could call themselves a broken branch, since they could have no off-spring in a society firmly based upon family. There are historical sources about those, and they could often be found in the courts as advisors of the rulers, since they did not have children and therefore did not threaten the order of the dynasty. Similar to the indian tradition of hijrahs.

We do have a choice. Adam and Eve had a choice. God didn't tell them not to eat the tree of life but not to eat the tree of good and evil. Now we have a choice. We can either eat of the tree of good and evil or the tree of life, which is Christ.

People still have freewill to commit blasphemy and denounce Christ after becoming a Christian, which Luke 12:10 clearly says such a person will not be forgiven of their sins. Sadly some use verses to justify disobeying God's commands and living by the flesh, which is the opposite of what the Bible says. Luke 12:5

Dear Seventh Day is Sabbath. Maybe you can help. How was anyone saved prior to the 10 Commandments given to Moses? How were those souls saved from Adam to Noah? The reason I am asking is that God does not change, but this world has changed, and how God treats us is different. God does not treat you, or I, the same way He did Enoch, or Moses. The Old has passed away...

  • Seventh day is sabbath - In Reply - 6 years ago
Yes! the 7th day is still God's Sabbath. Since God does not change Hebrews 13:8 His law 10 commandments are still binding..Read Matt.22:36-40. The 1st 4 are commandments that tell us we should love God with all our heart and the last 6 commandments are to tell us to do the same for fellow man. All 10 are in effect today as much as in the beginning. Blessings!

Have you ever asked yourself what Life is suppose to be about? Do you show Love to orhers? Your Father in Heaven sacrificed His Son to Suffer for our Sins on this Earth- so at the ending of our Life we will be able to come straight to the Throne! Works- Prayer- Faith- and much Love everywhere you go. That shows Jesus's Love and Compassion- Given by His Father because of His Love for You!! LOVE!!

We should not turn a blind eye to sin in the body of Christ but to call it out before it becomes prevalent among us, as the small amount of leaven yeast which can affect the whole dough.

Laci-Ann, I have no bad intent, just thought you might want to know that the God of life is always capitalized. Little "g" God is used when you are referring to other gods.

Douglas Russell Jr., If you died today do you know where you would go ? Do you believe we are all born sinners ? But through the gift of God his son Jesus spilled out his blood as the altemint sacrifice covering our sins. By faith in Jesus and all he is we are born again to new creatures, the children of God. I pray if you do not know Jesus as your savior you will find a KJV teaching church

Hi John the Theologian Spurgon referred to Jesus as The Arch Angel Michael but we know this was wrong because God said when have I ever called my Son an Angel Heb1 and that they would bow down to Jesus who was as we know also called Emanuel meaning God with us and The Word and other Names which all have meanings and show His Divinity as One in Spirit with The Father and The Holy Ghost 1John5:7.

I have gone thru a tough time financially the past three years and it has just about drained me. But praise God I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Recently God woke me up at 4 am to tell me to pray and read his word for the next two hours. He also told me to read Palms 23 and I had no idea what it was. I soon recognized it and praise God it is seeing me thru.

remnant whom the LORD shall call. A preacher from a little church a couple of blocks down the road from us came by our house and invited us to come visit the church. We went and when the preacher invited all to come up and accept Christ My wife poked me with her elbow, so we both went up and accepted Christ. Later I told her if she hadn't poked me I would not have gone up. She said I poked you not
