There is a specific reason the bloodline follows Joseph-has to do with Jewish custom when someone is a stepson. See Chuck Missler's study for Matthew on Youtube or at Koinoinia House I got the study CD package from my local library . In Luke, Chapter 3, you find Jesus' other lineage which shows Jesus' bloodline starting at with Jesus then Mary's father Heli! Study your Bibles!

The KJV is a translation and is not 'lifted'. Let me ask you a question: if you translate Hello to Hola for Spanish, since people already did that before you are they right to accuse you of "lifting" that from them? What if instead of lifted it happens to be the correct translated word? That is likely why you claim a large percent may match a previous translation, because part of the previous was correctly translated. Also, comparing to previous translations doesn't weaken a translation. The KJV was translated over 7 years by 47 scholars who worked in meticulous detail to create fresh new translation which is why it's accurate.

The KJV 1611 has 83 of it lifted directly from William Tyndale's Bible. That is why it is a 'version' and not a 'translation'. The Jewish scholars who guided the kjv translators were Rabbinic Pharisee . All translations are an opinion.

Stanjett, no you are not wrong to be against killing, . Men are evil. That is why we must read God'S word. He wants all mankind to repent and accept Jesus as their Savior,be baptized and lift up and be an entirely new person in our hearts and minds. The only way we can do this is to love God and read his word. God gave his only son to take all sin of man! Jesus saves! He died for our sins.

He his ex are both using her as a weapon against the other. prayers for all

Trimbel a cymbal or a drum - origins in the 1400-1500's. Clearly the translators of the KJV used a word that was familiar to them in their time to describe an instrument that the Psalmist wrote about Psalms 81:2 . Going to have to do some more research to find out what that instrument actually was in the Psalmist's day . . .

In some states common-Law-marriage is recognized, others there is no such thing, but even in the new testament of the king james, they asked Jesus why Moses gave a certificate of devorce?clearly couples performed the act of marriage in a ceremony in some legal fashion involving some kind of certificate.....

Does anyone see changes coming fast in this world now? Stores going crazy with building up all of a sudden. No matter where you go they are building and changing. In the Bible it reads how cold hearted everyone will be. How powerful stores, churches, and restaurants, are to get. What happened to yester year? Can never go back. God is warning His people. Every where you go now-' Keep God Close!

My personal opinion is that if you truly commit to your spouse 100 percent and conduct a ceremony in front of witnesses and if you say you're married and believe you're married then I believe you are. I believe Adam and Eve were married in this way, but they had no witnesses other than God and animals. The question is why not have it legally documented, because of fear, concern, or something else?

Kim, Can you direct me to a scripture that says we cannot lose our salvation? Judas lost his. Before his betrayal he was a disciple of Christ. Surely he thought his salvation was secure. Mark 13:13, Matthew 24:13, Rev 3:5, Ecc 12:13, Rev 22:14 There is no assurance of salvation. We believe and we live a certain way because of it. If one truly believes fear of the Lord should keep you from sin.

As Matthew Henry pointed out, God will keep those who are saved till the end. A person who is Truly Born Again, cannot lose his or her salvation. But those, who are like, what Timothy or Titus, say's that there are some who are like clouds without water, they may have been enlightened, but, are wishy washy in their faith, when it comes down to true faith, they are saved always

If a man and woman decide to get married but not legally but rather dedicate their lives together in holy matrimony under God, are they married in the eyes of God without committing sin? Or do they have to have the marriage documented and legal binding in order for it not to be sin?
  • Maxann Eftink - 6 years ago
In Matthew 19:5 it talks about man leaving father and mother and clinging to his wife. I was wondering, back in those days, in order to be married in the eyes of God, did the marriage have to go through an established government to receive documents for proof of marriage like they do today?
  • Terrell Rashar Reese on Matthew 16 - 6 years ago
I honestly think that this lesson was a good one to discuss at church. When Peter says that God has forbid Jesus rising in 3 days is false obviously . But what I am not understanding is when Jesus said "Get thee behind me, Satan. If you can tell us people who didn't understand that verse, that will mean a lot.
  • Kevin Mack on Psalms 109 - 6 years ago
In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and word was God. John 1:1. So the bible in essence is God and Jesus RNA and DNA sequence, and when spoken out loud by a believer it never returns void, but accomplish what it is sent to do. What part of Gods body are we aloud to omit ? Pray this prayer of defence against Gods enemies and ours that's why it was written !!!
