David express comforts, hopes, love and satisfactions. He feels that because God is the shepherd of his life, he has not fears because God leads him. He feels God anointed him with a precious liquid which oil. David is in peace with god. The green pasture is a metaphor, meaning tranquility,, purity. Yet the Bible states it's appointed for everyone to die "and then comes the judgement". So these guys come back to earth
