The commentary for vs. 12 is wrong, through a glass darkly means like when your looking through glass and its dark on the other side you only see yourself, selfish, but when you get closer, face to face, you can actually see what's inside the building of the glass your looking through.. you get closer to Jesus and start to see or care for others, farther from Jesus you care more about self..

  • MockingBird on John 13 - 9 years ago
To love others as Jesus loves me is to forgive them before they ever do anything to me. That is what God did to and for me : Before I was ever conceived in my mothers womb I was forgiven :Difficult to do , but with help of Holy Spirit within : It can be done : And it will be.

  • David on Psalms 12 - 9 years ago
Iam amazed today how so many claim to know a God ? What God ? The God of allah ?the God of Buddah ? The God of Hindus ? So many Gods , God of the Hebrews ? This God name has become universal : it fits into satans end time agenda to bring altogether as one ; be not not deceived : the only true name given among men whereby they must be saved will only come by the name of JESUS CHRIST ( The Son ) !!
  • Michael on Daniel 12 - 9 years ago
It can not be Daniel . Only two men in the bible were taken up to heaven alive , makes sense it will be Enoch and Elijah who witness these two men must die before judgment day

    Verse 4
I had lived a moment with the presence of the Lord in the church and in my life that I enjoyed much. However in recent years I agree with king David, my spiritual is up and down and my soul longs more and more for the Lord than ever before. But thank God for verse 8 that brings hope into my heart.

To Vicky/Chastity on v,4, 2011; way to go girls!!! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD. I just hope they will see this.
  • Irene123 on Deuteronomy 6 - 9 years ago
Deut. 6:4; 4:39; Isa. 42:8; Lk. 17: 16 - And fell down on his face at HIS feet, giving Him thanks (glory). v. 18 - "There are not found that returned to give glory to GOD, save this stranger."
Isa. says "my glory will I not .....", and yet we see HIS glory being given to - Jesus. Sounds to me like 'Jesus' - is God - manifest in the flesh; The Lord thy God is ONE Lord.

When in zephenla mentions the fenced cities and the high towers it reminds me of the 911 attacks on the twin towers and the Pentagon
  • Irene123 on Isaiah 38 - 9 years ago
Isa. 38:19; Lk. 1: 17 - :........... turn the fathers (hearts) to the children. The Jews are the 'fathers' (they heard the word of the Lord FIRST); The apostles in the N.T. were Jews - and went to the 'children', the Gentiles. The disciples at first wanted Jesus to rebuke the Gentiles, because they were just learning and didn't understand as yet, but God 'fixed' it all in Acts ch. 2.
  • Tyler on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Daniel: I have some questions for you. Number#1 What is the name of the Father?#2 What is the name of the Son?#3 What is the name of the Holy Spirit? Because the Scripture says to Baptiste in the NAME.
  • Irene123 on Isaiah 37 - 9 years ago
To Andrew, 1 year ago - Where in God's word does it say 'God in 3 persons' or 'God the son'. It does say, 'Jesus, the son of God', but never 'God the son'.
  • Bro.John on Hebrews 1 - 9 years ago
Thank you for an opportunity to share ;Hebrews chpt. 1, to me is a rallying cry to support "Believers ". Hebrews Chpt. 1 confirms the Royalty of JESUS CHRIST and WHO JESUS CHRIST IS ,The SON OF GOD ! You can plainly see the Authority given CHRIST in beginning All Creation .St. John 1:1 summarizes the matter . And Hebrews 1:5 clearly states a very important question " For unto whom did GOD say SON ?

Isnt CH 4 talking about the holy ghost? This is our rest in him. We do not worship on Saturday. Throughout the bible it explains things. Jesus is our rest if we have his spirit dwelling in us. We worship him every day.

I don't think the disciples have willingly disobeyed their Master, but perhaps the records are incomplete. Either way we need to go with the commandment of our Savior. This is why, today, Christians baptize the new believers in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
If you have a problem with what Jesus says, you have a big problem¦

    On Jedidiah's comment on Acts 2:38 2/18/2016:
Before Jesus ascension back to His Father, He gave the disciples/apostles the great commission or commandment: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. Matthew 28: 19, 20 (This is first hand information)

Oh Lord Jesus, I do repent. I am so sorry for all the mistakes I made in the past for things I said and done that hurt and alienated people, because I was afraid of getting hurt over and over again. I am so sorry, and I try to be a better person every day. I want only to help others and serve you, Jesus.
