Verse 51. To the mainstream Gentile church: YE STIFF NECKED AND UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART AND EARS, YE ALWAYS DO RESIST THE HOLY GHOST AS YOUR FATHERS DID, SO DO YE !

This is directed to Michael C. (the one with the period after his "c")...

First off, I ask you to read Matthew 7:3-5..

I will be praying for what I see as a Spirit of pride that is seeming to make you feel that YOU are a better Christian that anyone else.. Some are strong in Faith, others need to ask for forgiveness for their weakness (meaning me..) I feel you are judging me. (The Lord's job?)

There have been a time or 2 and then some when I was so overwhelmed with sorrow from a sin I had done I thought there was no way God would forgive me or that I could get back up again and serve Him with a pure heart !!!As I grew in the Lord I found God is very forgiving and He helps me to get back in line with Him not to do that thing again and if I do God is Greater than my heart and knoweth all things. I get restored !!!! I learn and know my Lord God as I grow. He does not expect us to know everything when we are still babes and growing. I desire the sincere milk of the word.

  • Wayne on 2 Corinthians 12 - 10 years ago
The thorn in the flesh, he says, was the messenger of Satan. To buffet him. So he wouldn't lift himself up to be noticed. Christ must always be our object, as Christians.
  • Michael C. on Psalms 73 - 10 years ago
It is so good and comforting to read the many brothers' and sisters' comments and praises of the Lord on this site. I just want to exhort everyone who loves the Lord Jesus, never, NEVER to give any place to the liar and the slanderer, as to whether or not you're being treated fairly by God. If He ordains us to suffer anything, He has a purpose in it, and He will give us our wages at the day's end.
  • Michael C. on Psalms 73 - 10 years ago
What kind of spurious Christianity do so many have, who are seemingly so ready to give Jesus the back, flee like cowards, and lose heart because of the contradictions of the ungodly, or the difficulties of the way! "The cup which my Father has given me to drink, shall I not drink it?" And as it goes with our Master, we shouldn't expect better for ourselves. Is your treasure all in this evil time?

  • BSP on Isaiah 50 - 10 years ago
Verses 4 and 5 describe how God taught Jesus what to say and how to speak. God also taught Jesus how to teach.
  • BSP on 1 John 4 - 10 years ago
Verse 19 shows that God took the initiative in showing love by giving the life of Jesus in our behalf. Love does not originate with men and our love for God is really in response to His love for us.
  • TIMOTHY IFIDON on 1 Samuel 1 - 10 years ago
Another significant part about Hannah was that she kept to her vow.We should learn from this.God keeps vow and always honours it.It has always been men who do not keep their own side of the vows.I want you to know that you can turn around your situations by engaging God in a vow.May God help us and give us grace to overcome all our challenges in life, amen
  • Michael C. on Psalms 11 - 10 years ago
Goodness; if you want to know why there is sweat in our faces, and sorrow in our hearts; look at what happened to our species in the very beginning; Genesis 3. God did not kill Adam and Eve outright for their carelessness, stupidity and sin: He demanded an account of what had happened, and pronounced judgment upon the one who caused it; the devil. The man was let go upon the word of Christ coming.
  • Michael C. on Proverbs 1 - 10 years ago
Isaac, the Lord Jesus loves you and He has many things to show you.We understand only by His Spirit, which inspired the holy Prophets and Apostles to write the Bible. That's why we need the Holy Spirit, to give us understanding and lead us in walking in the truth.God teaches us knowledge and causes us to grow little by little over time and by doing all He says. • Michael C. on Psalms 77 - 10 years ago
Do you allow two of the same name to comment? I have no doubts or fears about being saved! Walk in the Spirit, and make no room for the devil or his filthy allurements! I have repented of my sins, and am truly converted; and I stay converted! Jesus the Son of God came in the flesh to lay down His life to save me from my sins. Too many give in to the flesh, and destroy many others with themselves.
  • BSP on Colossians 3 - 10 years ago
This verse is encouraging children to obey their parents. God has placed parents with a certain amount of authority and he expects children to obey those rule as long as they do not conflict with God's rules.

  • Norm on 1 Thessalonians 2 - 10 years ago
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
