Heavens administration of crowns solidifies our position in the earth as kings designed to worship!!!
  • Olabode on James 1:6 - 10 years ago
According to how the bible defines faith: is the substance of things hope for and evidence of things not seen Heb 11:1. It is certain that without faith nobody can please God. So whatever we ask God in faith without doubt in our hearts,God will surely do it for us.

this shows that the word of God is for free we can have access to it at no cost and the word unlike all other things we purchase satisfy our souls and not only does it satisfy us but helps us be fruitful as God commanded man after creating him to be fruitful and multiply,so God is the sower we the crops, the word is the rain and the sower expects fruits from us.
  • Marlene on 1 Corinthians 13 - 10 years ago
I Corinth. 13 is one of the chapters of the Bible which I use as God's measuring stick of my level of holy and righteous living. Thank you Lord for your holy scriptures which provides guidance to us as we journey through this earth to your Kingdom. Amen
  • Matt on Genesis 18 - 10 years ago
Marty, If you are trying to find God I suggest you first start in prayer. Second get into a good church where the elders can help lead you. When I first read the Bible I read the new testament first then the old testament. Jesus Christ is who your looking for. I'd suggest you first read about him then come back and read what lead up to our Savior. May God bless you with wisdom and understanding and may you except your gift of life eternal. I love you and Jesus does to.

  • Harry on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Genesis to my reading and understanding, was GOD explaining the days and how they are welcome, meaning presenting there true origin. Creation of all breathing souls abiding creatures, including human. Allowing them to chose between there carnal mind and the spiritual mind, meaning right and wrong.. Showing anger when iniquity is present and law are not followed. Deeply engaged and exciting.

Re:Vizavis V.3. This is the only place where such was mentioned in the Bible. That plural must referred to those who might have enjoyed his blessings while single referred to Satan whom I think can never be pleased with such a good promise that permanently eluded him. Up till now, nobody has ever been recorded of such attempt.

It was THE WRITER of the Book of Acts who told us what Peter said in Acts 2:38,39. And it was THE WRITER of the Book of Matthew who told us that Jesus spoke the words in Matthew 28:19,20. Both men wrote under inspiration of God. These scriptures do not contradict. Both agree with Acts 4:11,12. There are no contradictions in scripture. If you think you know one pray for understanding.
  • Jeannie on Matthew 28 - 10 years ago
Jesus didn't make a mistake when He chose the 12 Apostles. He knew what they would do and teach. In fact He told them that whatever they bound on earth would be bound in heaven and whatever they loosed on earth would be loosed in heaven. That's how much he trusted them with the gospel.. He knew they would keep His words to the death. Matthew 28:19,20 and Acts 2:37,38

  • Breeze on Deuteronomy 5 - 10 years ago
Absolutely right. The ten commandments have always be in effect. They're written on the tables of the hearts of man. It's how we come to repent and to be saved. They have always been around. For example, Cain knew it was a sin to murder and he was alive way before Moses. So, people who forsake the law, are disobedient to God and it makes me question the validity of their salvation.
  • Breeze on 1 Timothy 1 - 10 years ago
A woman cannot pastor. One of the biblical requirements for a pastor is to "be the husband of one wife." Also, in 1 Tim. 2:12, a woman is not to be in authority over a man. In Ephesians 5, wives are asked to submit to their husbands. This does not mean that we are not equal to men, but our roles are different and we are created to fulfill different roles than men. Hope this helps.
  • Raniyah on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
    best bible ever.
  • Breeze on Genesis 18 - 10 years ago
Marty: Something that you may be missing is the grace of God. The men of the bible were most certainly not perfect. They were sinners, tempted just as you and I are. However, through studying their lives, we can make corrections to our own. There is nothing new under the sun and their problems are often our own problems. Through the bible you can find salvation through grace ( Eph. 2:8-10)
  • Breeze on Psalms 35 - 10 years ago
Response to Latisha: This psalm is talking about being falsely accused by an enemy and how this person responded. They prayed that the Lord would prove that their claims would be false and that they would see him as a servant of the Lord. Ultimately, he prays for them to give praise and glory to God (salvation, perhaps). A good psalm to support Matthew 5:42-44. Hope this helps.

While reading 1 Thessalonians, and answering the short quiz following chapters 1, 2, and 3 I am left with confusion as to where Paul was, once the answer was Phillipi, another time Corinth, yet he also speaks of Athens. Does anyone really know?

  • Perry - 10 years ago
The question of "who did Cain marry" can be answered in the text by the fact that Cain and Abel were both grown men in Chapter 4. The Bible doesn't give their ages, nor does it give the names of any other siblings that obviously were born to Adam and Eve.

Since Eve was the mother of all living, then logic says there are siblings other than Cain and Abel. Cain married one of these offspring.
  • Perry on Genesis 4 - 10 years ago
Only at the reception of the Law of Moses, was incest forbidden.

Abraham was married to his 1/2 sister Sarah, yet we see in the Law of Moses that was forbidden.

Since the Law was not given until Moses, Abraham was not in sin in that type of union, but after that prohibition was given, then it is sinful. Even today though we are no longer under the Law, incest is still prohibited See 1 Cor.
