2 Years ago a tornado came through and got my home and my car and my man friends truck : I had lived there 37 years : My home was oak and 115 years old. I was able to salvage most of my belongings : I and man friend were not hurt : Thank and Praise God !!!! I refuse to go through another experience like that again of the devil coming against me to steal from me !!! It is a frightening time to go through : Since then I have a new home and a new car , Thanks to my Lord God and insurance : When I lay down at nite ,I now pray this prayer every time : In Jesus name , I will both lay me down in peace and sleep : for thou Lord only makest me to dwell live in safety. Praise God forever more !!

C-Dub, You make a very broad statement by saying "we" forget about what Jesus says. And "we"go straight to what Paul teaches. How do you know that "we" do this?
Furthermore, Paul was saved, he preached the cross, he lived and died for Jesus, he encourages all in the faith in his letters that scripture gives us, and pointed out their errors. Paul gives us wholesome words.

There is only one "Church", saved by grace, those that are in unity with Christ; Those that remain in the truth ( John 14:6); those that believe and know his commandments to do them.

The Bible says out of your mouth comes blessing and curses and it also says that God tempts no man, so if you are a child of God you can command things to line up according to God's will! We are to have self control and if it is not from God and we are controlling our flesh, know that the devil has a part in that issue so open up your mouth and command the devil take his hands off in Jesus' name!!

I am confused.

I opened the bible looked down Ezekiel 7:6 An end is come, the end is come; it watcheth for thee; behold it is come. Wow wow wow read to the end of chapter. Wow!!! Are you part of the remnant?

I am soooo thankful for the peace that passes understanding the Lord gives. Such a peace that we can rest our weary bodies and minds in the midst of enormous and fierce trials we face daily. Thank you Lord!

It comes to light the person that i have always been. I am a loving individual and it speaks on that very spiritual word of love. we all need to read this book. we have gotten away from loving one another and putting our trust in god. i thank god for all the books i read

Moses was determined to love Jehovah God with all his heart, soul, and strength. Likewise we want to use him as an example and make sure we love God with our heart, soul, and strength

In verse 12, I really liked Paul's example expressing and cultivating gratitude. Like Paul, we need to meditate on what Jehovah God has done for us personally

I love this bible verse I was in church and the pastor was preaching on this and it made me get up and join church that day and iam a changed women and I love it

I am having difficulties with this.

physical food does not satisfy at all times. Jn. 4:24 says God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in Truth, for the father seeketh such to worship him. Jesus lived a life of fasting and overcame all spiritual oppositions while on earth. see matt. 17:21. It pays to wait on the Lord to be victorious,to win battles against the kingdom of darkness, and be spiritually focused, and be Spiritfilled.

The Lord our God can get us through even the darkest hours of our lives, Derrick. Psalms 23:4 says- Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Take comfort in His words

I am going to very soon be a Bible study assistant(and sometimes) teacher, and in our class we are going to be discussing our denominations catechism and they interpret v.21 to mean we are saved by baptism. I cant in good conscience say that,because after a careful study of Scripture and greek concordances I dont believe that is the correct context. does anyone have any insight or offer advice.

I think it is funny how many people just shrug off the fact that this is JESUS speaking to us. We go straight to Paul's teachings all the time and forget about anything Jesus has said. This verse is metaphorically speaking of a form of communion. We are to take of the flesh and blood of Christ which is to read His Word, eat the bread of life, and to drink of his blood, the Holy Spirit and spring of living water that cleanses us from our sins. For our example is Christ and he spoke of obedience to His words and examples, not just expecting grace and His death to do it all. If this was the case then why did He even die on the cross. Our Father God could have just said, "I accept them all" and done away with hell all together. God Bless.
