GOD'S MERCY IS NEW EVERY MORNING AND NEVER FAILS
Every sinner is in need of God's mercy. When one realizes this and cries to God for mercy we admit to deserving eternal punishment for our sins as well as being undeserving of His mercy. By rights, we should be under his impending wrath, like all mankind ( Ephesians 2:3) - but for "the tender mercy of our God" ( Luke 1:78), in which Jesus took god's wrath in our place and allows for our sins to be forgiven.
In Titus 3:4-7, the apostle Paul gives us one of the best descriptions of God's mercy as revealed in Jesus Christ:
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
God's mercy forgives and saves us specifically because He withholds the punishment, condemnation and wrath we deserve.
Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Thessalonians 1:10
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Exodus 33:19 reveals a great glimpse of God's mercy. In one of the most important passages in all the Bible, after Moses has asked God to show him his glory, God answers, "I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name 'The Lord.' And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy."
When asked to show his glory, God puts his goodness in grace and mercy on display - and his utter freedom in showing his mercy to whomever he chooses.
See Pt. 2
GOD'S GRACE IS FREELY GIVEN, UNEARNED FAVOR WITH GOD
IT IS RECEIVING WHAT WE DO NOT DESERVE
IT IS GOD'S BLESSINGS IN THIS LIFE AND THE NEXT
What is the grace of God? Simply put it is God's favor and kindness toward us. Grace is God choosing to bless us rather than curse us as our sin deserves. It is His benevolence to the undeserving.
But it also exerts God's power in our life to bring about all that is needed for us to be saved: regeneration, repentance, faith, and trust in God in Jesus. And in Titus 2:11-13 we read that God's grace empowers us to say yes to what is right and no to what is sinful. It enables us to live godly lives in a wicked world.
The Holy Spirit uses grace to sanctify us unto God and to transform us to be more and more like our Lord and Savior. And it provides us with a sure and blessed hope of the appearing of Jesus, the great God and Savior. Without grace, we would give up on this hope. But God graces us with hope that does not fail.
God rains down grace on all mankind. He gave us the beauty and wonders of nature that we see each and every day. He gives us near misses when accidents are heading our way. He often brings us the right thing just in time. And He also gave us an innate conscience to know right from wrong. All these things are common graces, and everyone born on the earth has the benefit of them because God so loved the world.
Just being born on this planet includes many benefits. But when someone becomes a believer in Christ, that person receives even more graceful benefits from God reserved only for God's elect. In fact, believers are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm because we are united with Christ.
"We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are" ( Acts 15:11).
Ephesians 2:8 says, "For by grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves."
See Pt. 2
Pt.2
Exodus 33:19 says "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
Through God's favor a seed of faith is planted in your heart. As it sprouts, matures and grows in your heart, it should then be overtaken by a desire to be continually growing, continually pleasing God and continually gaining in God's favor.
This is what it means to be in pursuit of God.
His favor grants you access and provides the transformative power to be a new creation in Christ. It is, in fact, a transformation towards Christ-likeness.
Our faith is crucial for receiving God's favor. A key aspect of faith is that it allows us to receive God's grace and favor freely, not because of our own works or efforts.
Ephesians 2:8-9 declares, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."
As Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
This is not to say that it is our faith that earns God's favor, rather, it is often the means through which God causes His favor to flow to us. He chose to have favor upon us out of His goodness and eternal plan, but He brings us His favor at the time in our life when He determines it is best and will accomplish the most good.
Abraham was called by God before He believed. Moses was called by God before He knew Him. Paul was transformed by God while he was persecuting Jesus and His church. But, by God's choice, He favored all of these men in order to bring them to faith, salvation, and glory and to work out his plan in history during their lifetimes.
The King James Version is not a perfect translation, but it is translated from the oldest manuscripts and we have access to the tools (concordances, interlinears, dictionaries) which are keyed to the KJV to check the translators and check the original text as necessary. The Bible is its own interpreter.
1 Corinthians 2:13 declares:
"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
The Bible is a spiritual book because God who is the author is Spirit, and they that worship God must worship him in Spirit and in truth ( John 4:24).
The primary reason that natural man is unable to discern the spiritual things of God is because man by nature is spiritually dead, as we read in 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Ephesians 2:1-9 "And you hath he quickened [made alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air [Satan], the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation [manner of living] in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us [made us alive] together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of works lest any man should boast.

Thanks, brother, as we see through the New Testament Peter and James butting heads with Paul as we see in Acts 15, Paul even circumcised Timothy but he had a Jewish mother. We see before this when Peter came back and told the leaders in Jerusalem about how Cornelius and his family received the Holy Spirit, and he ate with them and they scorned him.
In Acts 15:19-21 James, the leader of the Jerusalem church, made the final decision on whether the Gentiles should be circumcised. The word sentence is Greek krino which means judge by making a judgment. This verdict applied only to these Gentile believers, and the Gentiles could go to the synagogues to hear the word read. This verdict did not apply to the Jews who were followers of Jesus not to say salvation is by works but is only by grace are we saved through faith, it is the gift of God: not of works, Ephesians 2:8-9.
I know this is a deep subject, but I do not see where the Jews who were believers in Jesus were to stop being Jews same as the Gentiles were not to become Jews. Any thoughts on this?
God bless,
RLW
John 3:16-18 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." Apart from the work of Jesus Christ, every human is condemned to an eternity in hell ( Revelation 20:15). But God has freely offered the gift of heaven. What determines if a person goes to heaven or hell for eternity is whether that person has been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ ( Romans 4; Galatians 3:23-29; Hebrews 11).
Going to hell is the default position of humanity. Going to heaven is the free gift of God's grace, received by faith, offered to all people ( Ephesians 2:1-10). God wants people to be reconciled with Him, so He provided the way ( John 14:6). Every person is invited to go to heaven.
Going to heaven or hell has everything to do with God's act of rescue. When God created the world, everything was very good ( Genesis 1:31). He created humanity in His image. He provided food for them but told them there was one tree from which they were not allowed to eat. They were to trust His provision, follow His commands, remain in close relationship with Him, and experience fullness of life. But they were also free to disobey Him, which would result in death ( Genesis 2:15-17; Romans 6:23).God, I know that I have gone against your ways, that I rightly deserve condemnation. I know that you are loving, merciful, gracious, and just. I believe that you have made reconciliation possible. I believe that Jesus is the only Savior, and I submit to Him as Lord. I believe He is fully God, fully human, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for my sins, and rose from the dead bodily. I believe His sacrifice is sufficient for my sins.
When we examine verses such as Matthew 16:18 we see how the church would never be extinguished by the forces of darkness.
Again; as my last posting and many others that I have placed on this site in the past I emphasized the believing remnant of the true Christians vs pretenders as being much smaller than the professing church. In that group we once again need to differentiate a smaller group who wish to be godly in Christ Jesus and suffer persecution. ( 2 Timothy 3:12). Thus; we see a differentiation of rewards in heaven and those who wish to be great will seek His face to be given the desire to run the race with endurance as Paul did and find examples of godly individuals to emulate.
Ruling and reigning is something the book of Hebrews discusses of those who are in the "hall of fame" and in the great cloud of witnesses ( Heb. 12:1-2). Therefore we are currently "seated in heavenly places" ( Ephesians 2:6). Therefore the history of the church is something which will be today once tomorrow comes; and it leads to the future when we will rule as "kings and priests" on the earth. ( Rev. 1:6; also see 5:10). For now the church is in training for this future by our pruning by the Spirit and our trials and testings on earth to refine us as gold ( 1 Peter 1:7).
It is a good thing that the church has continued to succeed; especially when ALL seven churches that originated in the area of Turkey today ceased to exist within a few centuries of their inception at least where they were originally as the vast majority of citizens there are Muslim. We can also see that deception comes shortly after revivals as was the case where Paul warned Timothy of what would come in the last days after he departed within their own midst. Much of this these days can be blamed on faulty logic; when we just want to bring in numbers to fill the church there is always compromise on verses such as 2 Cor. 13:5; and John 15:2. We should make disciples.

"What must I do to be saved?" "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved"! There is God's plan of salvation, the only plan He has for every man, woman and child who was ever born into the whole world.
Believe On The Lord Jesus Christ
Here is God's simple way to be saved. You are a sinner, your heart is wrong, you cannot save yourself, you are already condemned. The thing you are to do then, to be saved, is to simply trust the Lord Jesus with that matter. When you do trust Him, then you have God's promise, "Thou shalt be saved."
I do not mean that you are simply to believe that there is a God or that there is a Saviour. Devils believe that and tremble ( James 2:19).
You can believe that a certain physician is a good doctor [without calling him to be your doctor] when you are sick. You can believe that a certain man is a good lawyer without taking him as your lawyer to defend your case. You are not just to believe the truth about Jesus; you are to believe on Him, that is, depend upon Him, risk Him, trust Him; and when you do, you are saved.

COME LORD JESUS
May I ask, Where in scripture does it say speaking in tongues is the (EVIDENCE) of the Holyspirit being in us?
Also, If the Holyspirit is with us it's because he's IN us!
If you don't have the Holyspirit IN you you haven't been born again!
Do one have to speak in tongues to be saved? NO!
There's instances of some believers using the gift of tongues, but that does not teach that speaking in tongues is EVIDENCE of salvation.
None of the gospel presentations in the New Testament mention tongues.
John 3:16-18
Ephesians 2:1-10.
Acts 4:12.
Acts 16:31;
Romans 10:9-13.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8. Ephesians 2:1-10. ect
If speaking in tongues was necessary for salvation, or even the primary signifier of salvation, we would expect to read much more about tongues.
We have been given Christ!
We have Christ spirit in us!
There's gifts of the Spirit and that is performed by one gift. CHRIST!.
There's also fruit of the Spirit.
That's what needs to be present in a believer. Fruit!
If it's evidence what one is looking for it should be fruit! That means you are connected to the Genuine vine as mentioned in John 15
God requirements for righteousness is perfect and the only way a believer achieves that is Christ righteousness imputed over unto us.
You are given a covering, (Robe of righteousness) to cover the imperfection within you!
You're not perfect and don't meet God's requirements without this covering witch is an atonement for your sins.
Just to think you are perfect in the flesh shows an sinful nature.
1 John 1:8-9.
Blessings.
God bless.

Ephesians 2:14 KJV Has blessed me with bowels of mercy overcoming Satan.
Thank you, brother, I know many have your understanding of this, and defining the difference between the soul and the spirit is difficult, in Scripture they seem to be interchangeable, at least it is for me. Salvation is not dependent on this, we know we are sealed and secure in Jesus regardless of what happens when we die.
In Genesis 2:7 Adam became a living being/soul the Hebrew word nephesh, in the New Testament it is the word psyche. My understanding this is who we are, our senses, desires, affections, appetites, intellect, and memories. The soul, who we are can be killed, Matthew 10:28. My understanding when we die is the soul/who we are, is asleep with our body in the grave, and is resurrected either to eternity with Jesus or is killed in the lake of fire.
Man cannot kill our soul all souls belong to God Ezekiel 18:4. God has offered a way of salvation for souls that are doomed to die, Hebrews 9:27. And we are told we can walk in the world or walk in the Spirit and Jesus told us the consequences, Matthew 16:26.
Spirit both the Hebrew word ruach and the Greek word pneuma translated as spirit have the concept of breath or wind at their roots. This part of us can be alive or dead Ephesians 2:4-5. The most enter part of us that connects or refuses to connect to God, like a radio receiver and it gives life to the body, Psalm 104:29 James 2:26.
This is what returns to God when we die, there is no more communication our fate is set after we die our soul is asleep in death until we are resurrected, Daniel 12:2. I know you said you do not know Plato, Greek philosophy, many in those days were influenced, the spirit or soul is immortal and the descriptions of an underworld. I believe Jesus took parts of these fables and used them as subject matter in this parable.
My understanding the spirit does not have a body it gives life to the body, and we are resurrected and given an eternal spirit.
Thanks again, God bless,
RLW

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It's interesting that Jesus said the peace that He gives is not the same peace that the world gives. And yet that's what we expect, tranquility, calmness, no turmoil in the physical realm. That is how we view peace. But that's the world's peace.
The word peace (EIRENE), its root word means oneness or unity. It has nothing to do with feelings. How does this peace work? Paul taught in Ephesians 2:14 that Jesus Christ is our peace, and that has the definite article with it. Jesus Christ is "the" peace of us. He is our peace. What Paul is saying is that peace is a person, not a feeling, not tranquility.
When I ask Him "Lord, I need your peace," what I am praying for spiritually is that I become one with him, that He's with me, and I'm with Him, and He's there to take me through. But it has nothing to do with feelings. Jesus said Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: Interesting in the Greek text where it says, "my peace I give unto you," it is not MY, it is MINE.
The peace that is mine, I give to you, not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, again TARASO, agitated, neither let it be afraid.
That is not the normal word for fear. That's the word for courage with the Alpha Privative in front of it. He says, "Let not your heart be troubled, neither be without courage."
John 15:2 - Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
The word "purgeth" does not mean to purge the way we think of the word. It would be better translated "every branch that beareth fruit, he cleanses it." The Greek word is KATHAIREI, and it means to cleanse, not purge. Some people see the word purge and they think it means to prune. But the Greek word means cleansing.
Manifest- Plain, open, clearly, visible to the eye or obvious to the understanding, apparent, not obscure or difficult to be seen or understood.

A response to you previously.
If you look at 1 Peter 4:1-19.
1 Peter 4:17 reads "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:..
( In this chapter Peter is exhorting the church "the house of God" which was facing persecution, to persevere.
They were also struggling to separate from the former worldly sins that had once enslaved them (verses 1-4).
Peter reminds them that the wicked will face God's judgment (verse 5) but that believers in Christ must hold themselves to a higher standard than they once did.
In 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 we see Paul mentions a foundation being layed. "Jesus is the precious cornerstone of this foundation
This is the first and most important part of a house or any building being built. "The walls, floors and roof, all depends on the perfect placed cornerstone!
That's important!
Also see Isaiah 28:16.
1 Peter 2:6-9 speaks much on this as well.
Paul mentions this in Ephesians 2:19-22. "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God THROUGH THE SPIRIT.
Matthew 16:18 Jesus states, upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH;
Everything we do as members of the house of God must be done by the Spirit of God!
That's all important!! Are we living our life and ministering in the spirit.
That what is being Judged in 1 Corinthians 3:6-15. NOT OUR PLACE IN CHRIST BUT OUR WORK "BY CHRIST"
So, Look at verses (14-15)
"If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, HE SHALL SUFFER LOSS: BUT HE HIMSELF SHALL BE SAVED; yet so as by fire.
Perhaps someone would like to expand on this.
God bless.

"The story of Jeremiah during the fall of Judah is a profound example of faithfulness and divine protection amidst overwhelming adversity." Jeremiah 20:11-16 KJV
Ways we can have God's hand over us and faithfulness is to have a clean heart and thoughts ( Jeremiah 29:11 KJV) keep God's morals when living life. Believe God's word for bread of life and living water.( John 6:35 KJV)
Morals- right from wrong , good from bad.
God has blessed me believing in God's word for bread of life and living water.
John 6:35 KJV
Ways you can stand firm and not conflict for example in Jeremiah 37 KJV. Are Allowing us Christians our hands to see God, work and accomplish for us and succeed. - Mark 10:43-44 KJV. Genesis 39:3,6,23 KJV
Ways you can overcome conflict is by having faith , praying, reading God's word.-holy bible.
Recognizing God's hands at work. Jeremiah 38:20 KJV
In Reference to Jeremiah 38:20 KJV My interpetation: "it shall be well unto thee and thy soul shall live." Because you come from God-" 1 John 4:4-7KJV. Your are God's son- 2 Corinthians 6:18 KJV.
Seeing myself born of God made into his image Genesis 1:27 living as God identification of male/man in this world but not of it has blessed with God and of him and his church to partake of the consolation which provides support and aid.
Support- To sustain, to act, represent well as to support, to support the part assigned.
Those who believed in Jesus Christ origin ( Christians)who had faithEphesians 2:8-9 KJVand the church to both show the truth were the partakers of the consolation.

Welcome to the site!
You asked;
"Are there prophets that exist in today's world aside from having the gift of prophecy? Or are they one in the same?
I believe if one "must" have the gift of prophecy to be a Prophet.
No the question is, are Prophets around today.
I would say No.
Here's what Paul in Ephesians 2:20 says about the Church of God.
"And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Before the Canon of scripture was completed the prophet proclaimed a message from the Lord in the OT and to the early believers.
Today we have the completed revelation from God in the Bible.
Does God reveal truth to someone in a way and enable that person to deliver that message to others? Yes! He does this to all of us.
However, That doesn't make us a foretelling Prophet.
Compare what is said to what the Word of God says. If it contradicts the Bible, throw it out. If it agrees with the Bible then it us written before hand and it's not a foretelling supernatural message.
Hebrews 1:1-2 reads, " God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,
I hope this helps.
God bless.
Those who believed in Jesus Christ origin ( Christians) who had faithEphesians 2:8-9 KJVand the church to both show the truth were the partakers of the consolation.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7 KJV
[3] 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. '
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
'Allowing us Christians, the people and our hands to see God, work and accomplish for us and succeed. Correlation to todays poverty and depression, deep state of emergency
Mark 10:43-44 KJV
'and whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: '
Nehemiah 2:18 KJV
'Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work
Genesis 39:3,6,22KJV
Those who believed in Jesus Christ origin ( Christians) who had faithEphesians 2:8-9 KJVand the church to both show the truth were the partakers of the consolation.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7 KJV
[3] Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; [4] who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. [5] For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. [6] And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. [7] And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. '
in this chapter
If ylook at
1 Peter 4:1-19.
"Jesus is the precious cornerstone of this foundation"
Matthew 16:18 Jesus states, upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH;
I hope this helps.
God bless.
"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."
To loosely transliterate/expand: God KNOWS all things beforehand, including those who would come to Him in faith through His Son (heaven bound) & those who would refuse Him (hell bound).
In His Foreknowledge, he predestined those (in verse 30) to increasingly bear the Image of His Son, thereby Jesus being truly the firstborn of God's children (firstborn, both as a forerunner & Chief Cornerstone of His Church ( Hebrews 12:23; Ephesians 2:20), as well as being the firstborn where both Deity & Humanity coexist together ( 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 3:16).
In fulfilment of His Predestination Plan to one day have those of His creation to bear His Son's Image & be filled with His Spirit, God, IN HIS FOREKNOWLEDGE, called (those He chose) to hear & receive the Gospel message. And these very ones who received the Word with all readiness of mind ( Acts 17:11) & joy, God justified ('declared as righteous', having our slates cleaned, as it were). And to those He justified, he glorified (Gk. edoxasen: 'God brings Christians to a heavenly dignity and condition').
Since, we as believers evangelising with the Gospel, have no idea of those who will be saved & those who will not (known to God alone), the Gospel seeds are scattered/sown that all might hear, particularly those to whom the Spirit leads us to. Sadly, most will refuse, but we can rest assured that all known of God will be saved - none lost.
Proverbs 16:18 KJV
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Psalm 45:11 KJV
My Respond evidence scriptures:
'So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: For he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. '
Psalm 119:128
'Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right, And I hate every false way.'
Believing in God ( Romans 10:9-10) is a precept.
Matthew 6:33 KJV
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Ways you can seek God is by reading your bible, and praying. Reading your bible and prayer is a sign of worship.
2 Kings 9:30-37 KJV 2 Kings 10:1-36 KJV
My Respond:
Romans 10:9-10 allows you to become like God at the time you believe. Believing in God is a sign of worship.
Romans 10:9-10 KJV
9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Colossians 2:14 KJV
'blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; '
Ephesians 2:15-16 KJV
15 having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
God has blessed me to become like his image, my inner man having faith and believing in Jesus Christ ( Romans 10:9-10 KJV) becomes a sign of worship. Reading my Bible and praying allows things to be added to me food, raiment and to do God's commission.
Commission- The state of that which is entrusted, as the great seal was put into commission; or the state of being authorized to act or perform service
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. S
He is simply saying mankind cannot will or make progress ( runneth: (trekh'-o Strong's/Bible Hub) to gain heaven. It is only through God's mercy for those who ask for it. you didn't answer my question: what happens to those who are not of the elect, those not chosen by God to be saved? It seems to me God is just disposing of them.
Ephesians 1:3-7 Is addressed to the to the church in Ephesus (us) and the Church of God was predestined to be established during Christ's ministry on earth NOT individuals.
Ephesians 2:1-10 is telling simply telling us that it is the grace and mercy of God through Jesus' death and resurrection the we can be born again.
Please show me through the actually wording of these verses how they interpret different then what I have shown. God Bless:)
