Hi Debby. In Greek, the word, 'ptochos', means 'one in poverty, destitute'. But in the sense that Jesus speaks in Matthew 5:3, He qualifies this poverty as being experienced, not of a lack in money or goods, but in one's spirit. So, as a beggar has nothing of worth in his possession, the one who is poor in spirit, is one whose spirit has been completely broken & impoverished; he has nothing to live for. Such a one, Jesus says, 'though he is broken and worthless through no fault of his own, he can look forward with joy to being blessed in God's future Kingdom.'
And this poverty also aligns with the account Jesus gave in Luke 16:19-31, where the (physically) poor man Lazarus who probably died a miserable, lonely death, enjoyed the comforts of Paradise, whereas the rich man who gave no thought for others, suffered in excruciating pain. How do these two accounts compare to what Jesus also speaks about: to the New Birth ( John 3:3), of the repenting broken publican and the self-righteous Pharisee ( Luke 18:10-14), or even the publican Zaccheus who under conviction, changed his sinful behavior ( Luke 19:1-10)? All these accounts, including Matthew 5:3, were given by Jesus to those of Israel still under the Old Covenant of the Law. And the Law required that people dealt righteously with one another, looking out for his brother in need ( Deuteronomy 15:7,8) and not to steal from another ( Leviticus 19:11). Jesus not only reminded them of the Law but that (in the case of Nicodemus, John 3:3), that man would need to be born again by the Holy Spirit. This could only happen after Jesus' Death and Resurrection and the giving of His Spirit to all who would believe on Him. Nicodemus should have known about this ( John 3:9,10, cf Ezekiel 11:19,20, Ezekiel 36:26,27).
So the 'poor in spirit' (as the other Beatitudes) are a reflection of this new nature, bringing out the qualities in a believer, that come from a new revived spirit in him, given by God's Spirit under the New Covenant.

Verse 8 is the principle. If you fulfil the royal law, and this is the same as the law of liberty. It's called Torah or Kingdom Law. Royal means belonging to the king. If you fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, and this is Leviticus 19:18, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, and then he says you do well:
And then in Verse 9, we have the problem:

The crowds as usual rejoiced in what Jesus said. This could be for several reasons; since many no doubt hated the religious establishment and perhaps non Jews were scattered about that felt the same way. They also could rejoice that there is a resurrection or just the fact that they perceived Jesus as a very clever guy.
Matthew 22:34-38
Jesus responded to the Pharisees in their third attempt to confuse or trap Him. The greatest commandment was listed as an amalgamation of the Old Testament commands. The first command was the literal first command of the Ten Commandments. The second appears in Leviticus 19:18 which many may not know.
Studying scripture further we see two examples of the 10 Commandments; both in Deuteronomy and Exodus. The idea of not coveting anything of your neighbor such a His wife (commandment #10); or committing adultery (7th Commandment) certainly show how the idea of a neighbor can tie together as one example. Sins are against God in all cases but may or may not affect other people. As to who a neighbor is we see that illustrated in Luke 10:29 which goes beyond just caring for fellow Israelites.
Matthew 22:39-end
Jesus then asks the Pharisees who the Son of man is; and quotes Psalm 110. Their concept of being a physical son of David was only in regard to the descendants of Joseph. Some of course accused Christ of being illegitimate; but the truth was that He also was NOT a physical descendant of David as we would think. This interesting truth comes from a promise made to Jeconius in Jeremiah 22 that NONE of his descendants would be king. This is another explanation of the need for a Virgin birth. No doubt Satan was watching things very carefully as we see the many attempts to destroy God's people in this lineage not the least of which was prophesied in Jeremiah 31:15 and fulfilled in Matthew 2:16-18.

There is a difference between saying something without providing evidence to support it and saying something with evidence that does. I gave supporting evidence based upon the established, accepted, historical record to support what I shared, while you didn't. Were I able to provide linked material for further support, I could demonstrate in better detail even more to establish what I share. So then, there is separation between fabricated claims as opposed to those that are recorded as accurate and true in the historical records, that are accepted as valid by such reason. Laws, courts and governing authorities rely on strict rules for admissible things to be included in the established record. They rely on witness testimony, valid documentation, official records and experts in the field of study or field of research to establish fact. You have provided none of that. If you were to state what you did before a judge in a court of law, it would be thrown out as hearsay. The entire book of Hosea is about the Whoredom of Israel. The 10 lost tribes went into Assyria and played the harlot and are scattered among the nations, even today. Jesus established a New Covenant with all men. Jesus says He has two flocks. One is redeemed already. They came out of the graves. Jesus returns to collect from among the Gentiles the second flock. 2 Esdras 13 speaks about Hosea, calling him Osea. Verse 40 shows the lost 10 tribes Christ returns for. Verse 48, shows the other two. Christianity, like Old Covenant Israel also has whoredom and harlots under the New Covenant. God's Ten Commandment apply to both the Old and the New. Only the Saints are God's Children.

I would say that God is very fair, for He is a righteous and just God. It is the world that is not fair. It is humanity itself that's not fair.
Ezekiel 18:25, "Yet you say, "The way of the Lord is not fair." Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not my way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair?"
There were those in the house of Israel who were questioning the fairness of God. God's response was that His ways are completely fair, and that they were the ones who were unfair.
Leviticus 19:15 would show how God values fairness. It says, "Do not pervert justice; do not show favoritism to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly."
The very nature of God is that He is fair and just. There are several places in the bible that show how fair God is. Here are just a few places in scripture that show the fairness of God: Matthew 20:16, Romans 2:11, 1 Peter 1:17.

Anyone with access to a concordance; even a basic list in small print of corresponding verses shows the integrity and cohesiveness of all of the Bible; both Old and New Testaments. This dwarfs the historical references in the Apocrypha; in which many of the details that are verifiable are in Maccabees; 1 and 2. The feast of Dedication is found in the N.T. but not mentioned specifically in the Old; hence Maccabees is helpful describing this as well. These facts are important for archaeological and historical accuracy as well as the veracity of the teachings in the Bible; whether in the old covenant of the law or the New Covenant. When we compare information in scripture to other secular teachings and those of other faiths; we see elemental truths as well as the same events clearly indicated in many cases; or closely paralleled.
In the case of the law; for example there are repetitive passages in the Pentateuch in regard; for instance to the 10 commandments found in Exodus and Deuteronomy; then Jesus quotes many of the same passages when contenting with the Pharisees to expound the deeper meanings of intentions of the heart when it comes to marriage and divorce; hatred for someone; and lustful thoughts. Love your neighbor as yourself comes from Leviticus 19:18 which I wasn't even aware of until recently.
The empires of history are in Daniel as well as the final world government summarized in Daniel 7:4-6 and Revelation 13:2.
We see the same cross references relating to most of the major events of the Tribulation especially found in the endo of chapter 11 and all of 12 in Daniel. Jesus Himself in Matthew 24:15 stated the importance of Daniel's visions from Daniel 12:11. This also was foreshadowed in the story in Maccabees about Antiochus Epiphanes which time frame is alluded to in parts of Daniel 11 that seem to shift into the time of the end in verse 40.
We do well to study the Word as the Bereans did ( 2 Tim. 2:15).
Love is patient; love is kind. ( 1 Corinthians 13:4-8). This section of scripture gets into all of the attributes of true love which characterizes "agape" which is the deepest kind of love which we can experience coming from heaven itself. Every other type of human affection is stereotyped by a particular relationship; but cannot stand the test of time truly without the Lord's love being in the mix. "Storge" for instance is defined as a type of familiar bond; which I would think describes a kinship with family members.
This is often flipped as to the responsibility and frustrations of a parent for a child then later on for a caretaker as myself the burden of assisting family members losing their physical stamina; mental acuity; as well as the emotional volatility that can result from such deterioration. fThere is another term for "self love" which up until now I am unfamiliar with called "philautia" which I suspect is retlated to "philia" which is a sort of plutonic affection (without eros) for others. As a Christian; of course we are instructed to die to self and live out the new life of Christ; nonetheless the law itself says to love your neighbor as yourself ( Leviticus 19:18 as well as quoted in the Gospels. There are other passages that state we should care for our wives as our own body ( Ephesians 5:29).
What is necessary; of course is to honor what God has given us stewardship over; whether it is our own bodies; our finances; marriages; or anything else the Lord has given us. Trusting God to provide; as well as guide us through self deprivation; fasting; and suffering even leading to death needs to be done trusting that God has the best ultimately even if it means martyrdom in terms of our eternity. This allows us to have the proper commitment to others entrusted to our care as well as having a love for the brothers and sisters both in our midst and abroad preaching the Good News. We need to trust God in maintaining what He has provided for us
Hi Chris: I didn't understand your first question so I can't answer it and I disagree that being sinless now make me revert back to a body like in the Garden of Eden but I don't want to go into that in this discussion.
I am sinless. As He instructs me to be because He says in His word for us to be perfect as His Father in heaven is perfect (Math. 5:48) and we are to be holy as He is holy. ( Leviticus 11: 44-45, Leviticus 19:2, Leviticus 20:7, 1 Peter 1: 15-16). People think these verses are just suggestions, or they don't count because they are in the OT. God's word from Genesis 1:1 to Rev. 12:22 all matter and tells us exactly how God wants us to live holy, righteous lives. I, of course, cannot be sinless as Jesus was because I was born into original sin and He wasn't. But when I was washed clean and made new by His divine blood, He rid me of the desire to sin. The devil tries to tempt me, but because I am without the nature to sin; the adamic nature, I have no desire to sin. I am also filled with the Holy Ghost, so I have all the weapons I need to resist him and as long as I keep these weapons, of prayer, reading and the study of His word, and fasting, new and at my side, I will be able to resist the temptation. It's when a christians gets lax or distracted or lazy that they can eventually fall back into sin. But if they want to make heaven they must do their first fruits (asking forgiveness for sin and asking that the desires for son be removed) again. These verses of perfection and holiness are exactly what God expects of us and He wouldn't tell us to be that way if He didn't make a way for us to be like this. I wasn't sinless until I gave my heart, soul and "old man" to Jesus. When I was saved, I not only prayed for my soul to be washed clean through His divine, forgiving blood, I also prayed and told the Lord that I didn't want to sin anymore and asked if He would take the desire to sin from me (the human nature I inherited from Adam.)

The situation with your friend is so sad and so serious. :( Your friend, even if she is imagining the ghost, doesn't realize that the devil has her held captive by this evil idea and, what can you expect from believing in such a terrible doctrine. I'll pray for her and you for this situation. Knowing what to do is concerning. Do you think she would be willing to listen to your advise and the bible as to how God sees this thing. If God is so against it perhaps she would realize it isn't her mother but a servant of the devil trying to deceive her with a false sense of security, deceiving her into false beliefs. Perhaps if you can help her to realize and accept that God is saying, through His true word, that her mother has passed on and is not there with her then she might give up on this idea. I know a lot of people believe their loved ones are watching them from heaven, even Christians. I have always wondered if they have ever thought that through to a conclusion. Why God would allow such a thing when heaven is a place of peace and joy, why let people look down on this cursed world after they have gone to be with Him and are in His wonderful Prescence. I suppose they think their loved ones would want to do that but that doesn't make any sense either. Do they think Jesus isn't enough for the ones they've left behind to be there for them? Do they think the loved one is actually able to touch them with a sense of comfort somehow and to desire that instead looking to Jesus for their comfort? To look to someone else, a dead person instead of Jesus, for help from above is idolatry. Even worldly people believe this, like their deceased loved ones automatically went to heaven and since religious people accept it they do too. If I may, you said you are focusing more on your faith which is great, praise God. Your question are angel numbers real? I will add are witches real, are demons real are mediums, horoscopes, etc. The answer is yes, but we are not supposed to deal with them. Angel numbers are a part of numerology, they may appear in the most ordinary places, these digits usually grab our attention, and even if for only a moment they evoke a sense of wonder, like sugar to an ant.
The danger is they can open doors to things that at first seem good and harmless but are like drugs, harmless at first but when the fangs sink in, it's over.
These are just a few verses you can find many more. If we put our faith outside of God, we are on dangerous ground. Numerology goes way back. The Babylonian Cube, it was a system of worship using numbers adding 1+2+3+ up to 36 = 666. they had it on an amulet they wore to protect them. It would be hard to explain it in this short reply.

Fourthly, the Ten Commandments were given to Israel & were binding upon them. Some of their objectives were:
a. to reveal the Holiness of the Eternal God to His people, Israel: Leviticus 19:2; Leviticus 20:7-8.
b. to set Israel apart as distinct from all the other nations: Exodus 19:5.
c. to reveal man's sinfulness: Galatians 3:19. Although the Law is "holy, just & good ( Romans 7:12), it did not provide salvation for the nation of Israel; and it cannot provide salvation to anyone who wants to or tries to keep the Law. No one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin ( Romans 3:20; Acts 13:38-39).
d. to show to humanity that not one person can fully keep the Law but everyone falls short of God's Standard of Holiness. Realizing that, should cause us to cast ourselves upon a Merciful God for His Forgiveness. I hope you can see Ani, that even though there was nothing wrong with the Law, even keeping the Sabbath by Israel, anyone who puts themselves under the Law (i.e. to find forgiveness or acceptance by God by it), is doomed to fail. Our Rest - continual rest (Sabbath) is now found in Jesus & not in Law-keeping & we can only be subject now to the Holy Spirit who enables us to fulfil both the spirit of the Law & finding the true rest in Christ Jesus ( 2 Corinthians 3:6-9; Romans 8:1-4).

He is our righteousness that justifies us before the Father. We are to aim to imitate Him with the working of the Holy Spirit within us.
We should be careful not to harden our hearts by becoming friendly with the world's ways. we should instead be familiar with God's ways given to us in His word. Godliness is required of us who profess Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We will fall and fail. But we should care that we live a life that honors God and loves our neighbor rightly.
We should be eager to do what God has said is the right action and equally eager to refrain from what God has said is wrong for us to do.
We are not to be "holier than thou" looking down on people caught up in sin. We should be compassionate, loving, and willing to reach out to people like Jesus did to the tax collectors and sinners.
Holiness is not about "religious" practices such as church going, bible reading, etc. but instead be about living out the word received with gladness.
We should cultivate a love for what is pure and just and righteous, good and beneficial and honorable. We should have a determination to continually resist sinful inclinations, to stay away from tempting situations, to avoid every sort of evil.
In this verse Jesus commands his followers to not commit murder, adultery, steal from others or give untrue statements about others. He is giving instructions about how we are to treat other people rightly. Verse 19 continues with the commands to honor one's parents and to love one's neighbor as we love ourselves.
Jesus is referring to the ten commandments given to Moses along with the command to love our neighbors, which is from Leviticus 19:35. Leviticus 18 and 19 is more comprehensive than what Jesus says in these verses, but His words cover all of the commands God spoke in Leviticus concerning how to treat others with honesty, respect, integrity, and love.
There is not a Scripture reference where we are ever instructed to pray to those who have already died. But there are Scripture references that tell us not to do such things. Leviticus 19:26 is one reference. There are many others. Praying to those who have died is prohibited by Scripture because it has to do with sorcery and divination.
A saint is anyone who believes the Gospel of Jesus and in Him for salvation. So, all believers alive today are saints, as are all the believers who have died. Only the regenerative and salvation work of God makes one a saint. No one who has died before us is any more saintly than any other believer because it is the righteousness of Jesus imputed upon us that makes us holy.
We are to pray to God alone. We certainly can ask other believers to pray for us. Scripture instructs us to pray for one another.
So, Gilbert, there is only one Mediator between God and man, Jesus. So it is in His name that we pray to the Father. We need no other go-between (mediator) but Jesus. It can be difficult to shed some of the practices of Catholicism that are contrary to Scripture, but praying to saints who are dead is one practice every Catholic needs to stop doing because it violates Scripture and substitutes another mediator between God and man in the place of Jesus.

And this poverty also aligns with the account Jesus gave in Luke 16:19-31, where the (physically) poor man Lazarus who probably died a miserable, lonely death, enjoyed the comforts of Paradise, whereas the rich man who gave no thought for others, suffered in excruciating pain. How do these two accounts compare to what Jesus also speaks about: to the New Birth ( John 3:3), of the repenting broken publican and the self-righteous Pharisee ( Luke 18:10-14), or even the publican Zaccheus who under conviction, changed his sinful behavior ( Luke 19:1-10)? All these accounts, including Matthew 5:3, were given by Jesus to those of Israel still under the Old Covenant of the Law. And the Law required that people dealt righteously with one another, looking out for his brother in need ( Deuteronomy 15:7,8) and not to steal from another ( Leviticus 19:11). Jesus not only reminded them of the Law but that (in the case of Nicodemus, John 3:3), that man would need to be born again by the Holy Spirit. This could only happen after Jesus' Death and Resurrection and the giving of His Spirit to all who would believe on Him. Nicodemus should have known about this ( John 3:9,10, cf Ezekiel 11:19,20, Ezekiel 36:26,27).
So the 'poor in spirit' (as the other Beatitudes) are a reflection of this new nature, bringing out the qualities in a believer, that come from a new revived spirit in him, given by God's Spirit under the New Covenant.

Verse 8 is the principle. If you fulfil the royal law, and this is the same as the law of liberty. It's called Torah or Kingdom Law. Royal means belonging to the king. The crowds as usual rejoiced in what Jesus said. This could be for several reasons; since many no doubt hated the religious establishment and perhaps non Jews were scattered about that felt the same way. They also could rejoice that there is a resurrection or just the fact that they perceived Jesus as a very clever guy.

Jesus responded to the Pharisees in their third attempt to confuse or trap Him. The greatest commandment was listed as an amalgamation of the Old Testament commands. The first command was the literal first command of the Ten Commandments. The second appears in Leviticus 19:18 which many may not know.
Studying scripture further we see two examples of the 10 Commandments; both in Deuteronomy and Exodus. The idea of not coveting anything of your neighbor such a His wife (commandment #10); or committing adultery (7th Commandment) certainly show how the idea of a neighbor can tie together as one example. Sins are against God in all cases but may or may not affect other people. As to who a neighbor is we see that illustrated in Luke 10:29 which goes beyond just caring for fellow Israelites.
Matthew 22:39-end
Jesus then asks the Pharisees who the Son of man is; and quotes Psalm 110. Their concept of being a physical son of David was only in regard to the descendants of Joseph. Some of course accused Christ of being illegitimate; but the truth was that He also was NOT a physical descendant of David as we would think. This interesting truth comes from a promise made to Jeconius in Jeremiah 22 that NONE of his descendants would be king. This is another explanation of the need for a Virgin birth. No doubt Satan was watching things very carefully as we see the many attempts to destroy God's people in this lineage not the least of which was prophesied in Jeremiah 31:15 and fulfilled in Matthew 2:16-18.

(G5485) it's NOT "legalism" it's LOVE ( 1 John 5:3) We've got to be obedient to his 2 covenants of promise (10 commandments and rainbow covenat "eat clean") thats what Christ(Yeshua) magnified and made honorable, just like his very own character and life was pleasing unto God(Yahovah) he opened the door for all nations to enter that covenant verbally presented and agreed to at the rock at Horeb, and *then* written in stone at Mt Sinai. but Israel had already transgressed that agreement ( Exodus 19 & 20) when Moses came down with the 10 commandments in writing. *then* the sacrificial law was added until Christ(Yeshua) would finish the punishment with a perfect sacrifice, effectively restoring the original covenant (10 commandments.) Leviticus 19:29
"Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness."
The entire book of Hosea is about the Whoredom of Israel. The 10 lost tribes went into Assyria and played the harlot and are scattered among the nations, even today. Jesus established a New Covenant with all men. Jesus says He has two flocks. One is redeemed already. They came out of the graves. Jesus returns to collect from among the Gentiles the second flock. 2 Esdras 13 speaks about Hosea, calling him Osea. Verse 40 shows the lost 10 tribes Christ returns for. Verse 48, shows the other two. Christianity, like Old Covenant Israel also has whoredom and harlots under the New Covenant. God's Ten Commandment apply to both the Old and the New. Only the Saints are God's Children.
I would say that God is very fair, for He is a righteous and just God. It is the world that is not fair. It is humanity itself that's not fair.
Ezekiel 18:25, "Yet you say, "The way of the Lord is not fair." Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not my way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair?"
There were those in the house of Israel who were questioning the fairness of God. God's response was that His ways are completely fair, and that they were the ones who were unfair.
Leviticus 19:15 would show how God values fairness. It says, "Do not pervert justice; do not show favoritism to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly."
The very nature of God is that He is fair and just. There are several places in the bible that show how fair God is. Here are just a few places in scripture that show the fairness of God: Matthew 20:16, Romans 2:11, 1 Peter 1:17.

Not sure if this is in the New Testament, but Leviticus 19:23-25 might be what you're looking for?
Anyone with access to a concordance; even a basic list in small print of corresponding verses shows the integrity and cohesiveness of all of the Bible; both Old and New Testaments. This dwarfs the historical references in the Apocrypha; in which many of the details that are verifiable are in Maccabees; 1 and 2. The feast of Dedication is found in the N.T. but not mentioned specifically in the Old; hence Maccabees is helpful describing this as well. These facts are important for archaeological and historical accuracy as well as the veracity of the teachings in the Bible; whether in the old covenant of the law or the New Covenant. When we compare information in scripture to other secular teachings and those of other faiths; we see elemental truths as well as the same events clearly indicated in many cases; or closely paralleled.
In the case of the law; for example there are repetitive passages in the Pentateuch in regard; for instance to the 10 commandments found in Exodus and Deuteronomy; then Jesus quotes many of the same passages when contenting with the Pharisees to expound the deeper meanings of intentions of the heart when it comes to marriage and divorce; hatred for someone; and lustful thoughts. Love your neighbor as yourself comes from Leviticus 19:18 which I wasn't even aware of until recently.
The empires of history are in Daniel as well as the final world government summarized in Daniel 7:4-6 and Revelation 13:2.
We see the same cross references relating to most of the major events of the Tribulation especially found in the endo of chapter 11 and all of 12 in Daniel. Jesus Himself in Matthew 24:15 stated the importance of Daniel's visions from Daniel 12:11. This also was foreshadowed in the story in Maccabees about Antiochus Epiphanes which time frame is alluded to in parts of Daniel 11 that seem to shift into the time of the end in verse 40.
We do well to study the Word as the Bereans did ( 2 Tim. 2:15).
This is often flipped as to the responsibility and frustrations of a parent for a child then later on for a caretaker as myself the burden of assisting family members losing their physical stamina; mental acuity; as well as the emotional volatility that can result from such deterioration. fThere is another term for "self love" which up until now I am unfamiliar with called "philautia" which I suspect is retlated to "philia" which is a sort of plutonic affection (without eros) for others. As a Christian; of course we are instructed to die to self and live out the new life of Christ; nonetheless the law itself says to love your neighbor as yourself ( Leviticus 19:18 as well as quoted in the Gospels. There are other passages that state we should care for our wives as our own body ( Ephesians 5:29).
What is necessary; of course is to honor what God has given us stewardship over; whether it is our own bodies; our finances; marriages; or anything else the Lord has given us. Trusting God to provide; as well as guide us through self deprivation; fasting; and suffering even leading to death needs to be done trusting that God has the best ultimately even if it means martyrdom in terms of our eternity. This allows us to have the proper commitment to others entrusted to our care as well as having a love for the brothers and sisters both in our midst and abroad preaching the Good News. We need to trust God in maintaining what He has provided for us
I am sinless. As He instructs me to be because He says in His word for us to be perfect as His Father in heaven is perfect (Math. 5:48) and we are to be holy as He is holy. ( Leviticus 11: 44-45, Leviticus 19:2, Leviticus 20:7, 1 Peter 1: 15-16). People think these verses are just suggestions, or they don't count because they are in the OT. God's word from Genesis 1:1 to Rev. 12:22 all matter and tells us exactly how God wants us to live holy, righteous lives. I, of course, cannot be sinless as Jesus was because I was born into original sin and He wasn't. But when I was washed clean and made new by His divine blood, He rid me of the desire to sin. The devil tries to tempt me, but because I am without the nature to sin; the adamic nature, I have no desire to sin. I am also filled with the Holy Ghost, so I have all the weapons I need to resist him and as long as I keep these weapons, of prayer, reading and the study of His word, and fasting, new and at my side, I will be able to resist the temptation. It's when a christians gets lax or distracted or lazy that they can eventually fall back into sin. But if they want to make heaven they must do their first fruits (asking forgiveness for sin and asking that the desires for son be removed) again. These verses of perfection and holiness are exactly what God expects of us and He wouldn't tell us to be that way if He didn't make a way for us to be like this. I wasn't sinless until I gave my heart, soul and "old man" to Jesus. When I was saved, I not only prayed for my soul to be washed clean through His divine, forgiving blood, I also prayed and told the Lord that I didn't want to sin anymore and asked if He would take the desire to sin from me (the human nature I inherited from Adam.)
I know a lot of people believe their loved ones are watching them from heaven, even Christians. I have always wondered if they have ever thought that through to a conclusion. Why God would allow such a thing when heaven is a place of peace and joy, why let people look down on this cursed world after they have gone to be with Him and are in His wonderful Prescence. I suppose they think their loved ones would want to do that but that doesn't make any sense either. Do they think Jesus isn't enough for the ones they've left behind to be there for them? Do they think the loved one is actually able to touch them with a sense of comfort somehow and to desire that instead looking to Jesus for their comfort? To look to someone else, a dead person instead of Jesus, for help from above is idolatry. Even worldly people believe this, like their deceased loved ones automatically went to heaven and since religious people accept it they do too. If I may, you said you are focusing more on your faith which is great, praise God. Your question are angel numbers real? I will add are witches real, are demons real are mediums, horoscopes, etc. The answer is yes, but we are not supposed to deal with them. Angel numbers are a part of numerology, they may appear in the most ordinary places, these digits usually grab our attention, and even if for only a moment they evoke a sense of wonder, like sugar to an ant.
The danger is they can open doors to things that at first seem good and harmless but are like drugs, harmless at first but when the fangs sink in, it's over.

These are just a few verses you can find many more. If we put our faith outside of God, we are on dangerous ground. Numerology goes way back. The Babylonian Cube, it was a system of worship using numbers adding 1+2+3+ up to 36 = 666. they had it on an amulet they wore to protect them. It would be hard to explain it in this short reply.
There are things in this world that look as pretty and sweet as cotton candy but are more ravenous than you can imagine, Believe me.

I agree with all, and if we our honest with ourselves and take the time to evaluate our true walk with Christ we should be conforming to the scripture you mentioned such as 2 Corinthians 5:17 and 1 John 1:5-6 and if born again should have a mind like Christ 1 Corinthians 2:16

Not conformed to this world, but have renewed minds, and prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2 Sinning is not acceptable to God, and for Christians to maintain the steady drum beat that they can't stop sinning is unbelievable per all of the scripture telling us that we are required STOP sinning, even including Jesus telling us that with Faith nothing is impossible for us! Much of the church today is antisemitic because lack of knowledge of the word of God.
Some say the teaching of the Talmud is the primary writings for all of Israel since the Babylonian and it teaches the Israelites to murder kill and hate other people but I don't hold that view and the Bible doesn't teach it.
They also had the writings of Moses as seen in Nehemiah 8:3-18.
The Jews was told to be separated from the world and the world hated them as well as today, including many false Christians.
When Israel left Babylon they had the same writtings that clearly tells them in Leviticus 19:33-34 not to oppress the stranger.
They all didn't do that, But we don't focus on the ethnic group, we focus on the remnant.
Israel history wasn't perfect and neither was the Church!

Our nation is not perfect! I've seen these same people that criticize Israel but yet by their own mouth, Justify slavery in our Country!

A saint is anyone who believes the Gospel of Jesus and in Him for salvation. So, all believers alive today are saints, as are all the believers who have died. Only the regenerative and salvation work of God makes one a saint. No one who has died before us is any more saintly than any other believer because it is the righteousness of Jesus imputed upon us that makes us holy.
We are to pray to God alone. We certainly can ask other believers to pray for us. Scripture instructs us to pray for one another.
So, Gilbert, there is only one Mediator between God and man, Jesus. So it is in His name that we pray to the Father. We need no other go-between (mediator) but Jesus. It can be difficult to shed some of the practices of Catholicism that are contrary to Scripture, but praying to saints who are dead is one practice every Catholic needs to stop doing because it violates Scripture and substitutes another mediator between God and man in the place of Jesus.
