Abraham and Jacob gave tithes for sure to God! There was no church building. I believe it 's important to give to the church but we ate not under any law and God 's children should know whether they gave it to a single mother or whatever good means from your heart He will it. By Jesus Christ and the work of the cross were good! Even in Malachi it was the priest eh stole from God! If malachi 3 8 is yardstick for christian giving today, then all of us are robbers.......who robbed god? The passage is talking about levith that suppose to pay tenth of tenth..........read. From chapter 2 of malachi and answer the question by ueself....

Ask yourselves this, how do you expect your pastor to live or your church to pay its bills? Our pastor is full time, he does not work any job except being a pastor so if people dont pay tithes then he dont get paid! Whatever you make you must pay tithes on including social security! 10 percent is tithes one tenth and half of that is offering 5 percent which pays church bills like utilities, water, etc. I get social security only so I make 1329 a month. I pay 133 tithes and 66.50 offering and anything you give over that is sacrificial giving like missions etc. God expects His people to support the shepard or pastor He puts over them and God also expects us to support the church and help pay bills. If everyone does his or her part then the pastor and the church should be supported just fine. The pastor also pays tithes and offerings, the pastors tithes is suppose to go for outreach like helping the needy and winning souls, everything costs money so ask yourself if everyone pays tithes and offerings like I do will my church survive and my pastor be able to pay his bills or buy food for his family?

Although the Old Testament The LAW was written for primarily for the Isrealites, there are so many principles in it that transcend right into Christianity e.g Loving God with all your heart and your neighbour as urself . Furthermore, Tithe is one of them. from my understanding of tithes will a man rob God they were talking about the priest they were robbing God.but instead of the pastors saying the bills have to be paid where we fellowship the will use Malachi 3 8 to tried to control the saints of God.How will we be curse if Jesus paid it all on the cross obedience is what will get you to reign with Jesus.You can 't pay your way into heaven. besides the tithes were for the levite they were poor people.i 'm not saying don 't tithes but be lead by the spirit and give with a cherrful heart. but there are 4 types of tithing which one are we gonna used.Tithing Obedience First fruits Alms giving sowing seeds most pastors won 't teach about what the scripture says because if they tell the truth the people may not tithe.

His promise is true, he has opened heaven 's windows many times, and never left us out in the cold when economies shifted. God is faithful to his promises. I remember when I was a little girl we would store all our caned veggies in the cellar which could mean store house. So all through the winter we would have enough food in our house. well as a church we could do the same thing to feed the people but we rely on the world to do this now as a nation we are cursed with a curse cause so many people are starving because we don 't do the things we used to do. Malachi 3 9 Ye are cursed with a curse for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Go back to verse 8 and it asks us wherein have we robbed thee? That is not talking just about money. Go down to Malachi 15 it talks about those have worked wickedness even they who do that can be delivered if you come back to him and do the thing that you did when you were when you served the Lord God in heaven he is the only one that we should serve. when we give all of ourselves and tithes and offerings to the Lord God only then all his blessing will be poured out and our minds can not even comprehend how much that would be cause we have lived to our worldly ways for so long! If we do just support our churches with 10 money dose that really fix things to where he will pore out his blessings on us? I do not think it dose.

Tithe is what I owe God is not asking me to give Him much. It is over the tithe that you receive Blessings. Yes , I am Blessed when I give the tenth. Also I can give 10 of my time talent personal posessions and or whatever I have . The church is the body of Jesus Christ the tithe belongs to the church God has called me to be in. It supports the up keep of the church and gives the pastor his due. It pays the utility bills and materials for teaching and preaching . When you give willingly and from a pure and obedient and loving heart.

I truly believe God works in miracles when u do tithe,av tested God in this am alive today,healthly strongly because of trying his words. At first I took this tithe for useless but after a certain teaching on this topic,here I am glorifying God 's faithfullness

This verse is so wonderful. The reward comes at speed of lightening. Any threatening situation around you can be handled with this. God remains God and he makes final decision.
