How Does Trust in God Translate into Daily Life? pt2

    5. "In Material Provision"

Trust in God shapes our attitude toward money and possessions.

Practical Translation: You work hard, but you do not depend solely on wealth for your happiness. You are generous because you trust that God will provide for your needs.

Inner State: You recognize that God is the great Provider and that He cares for you as He cares for the birds of the air ( Matthew 6:26).

Trust, then, in daily life is the active choice to surrender control and our worries to God, living with peace and certainty, regardless of external circumstances.

Would you like to suggest some other practical ways to cultivate this trust (e.g., through prayer or study)?

    Have a Blessed Week.

    Ephesians 4:32

Truth vs Deception: The concept of individuality

Perhaps we should start with the initial call of God.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; ( 1 Cor. 1:27).

Flattery and coercion are two methods of the enemy to summon a victim into a cult. We are reminded of this verse in Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. This shows the Antichrist in gaining control; apparently a precursor to gaining enough support to usurp all agreements with the parties including Israel in the Daniel 9:27 covenant; the breaking of which brings him into all power of worship and economic control. This concept of Satan is seen in all manners of influence that he has managed to grab hold of in the empires of the world; it can be said of all cult leaders as well. Flattery works to bring an appearance of harmlessness by appealing ultimately to the flesh; although some of the so called prosperity preachers twist scripture and use the enticement and comforts of material wealth to blind men who want to "have their cake and eat it too"; so to speak; or as Jesus said to the Phariees who were greedy for gain "they have their reward already" ( Matthew 6:2).

Once someone is indoctrinated or trapped in a religious system then guilt and control is exercised to strip one of their freedoms and it becomes obvious to the outsider that a person is trapped by a wolf lording it over people. The consolidation of wealth of all sorts; and privileges with associations with other likeminded world influencers brings a supposed unity. What is defined as "inclusiveness" is really an exclusion of individual freedom disguised as the opposite. Thus the value of a person's calling and individual dignity is sacrificed for the man in charge who becomes a god.

    Hello Christian,

You could be anywhere else, or doing anything else, but you are here asking for prayer. We have chosen the good part. Taking this moment, I want to say to you: I want you to have success, but not the success according to this world, because the success of this world is fleeting and materialistic. But the success of having the certainty that your name is written in the Book of Life. That very book which will be opened, and then we will be asking the angel if our name is found in the Book of Life. May our names be in that book. That is the true success.

I don't know how you are doing, if you are worried about tomorrow, about your commitments, your debts. But I pray that when you enter your room ( Matthew 6:6) God will touch your heart. Whoever you pray for, be it your girlfriend or your daughter, may you have peace. Not the peace of the birds singing or the silence of the countryside, but the peace that comes from above, which surpasses all understanding. And even if you are in a difficult moment, do not negotiate your salvation or your faith, for it is better to lose a limb now (without a leg or an arm, without an eye) than with soiled garments.

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Many times the Holy Spirit helps us pray. Then the words flow well. Sometimes we have to use our understanding to give people comfort and reconciliation. There is no hocus pocus at all. We pray and believe we will receive what we ask for. Just get started, dear "Wilma alexander". What Jesus means here in v 7: is that when we pray and the Holy Spirit helps us, we don't need many words. Because He knows our hearts and knows when the heart is sincere.

The Lord is with you, you know, so this is going so well. Hope to see your name in here later, see you? Love u in Christ Jesus

    David,

I think you are very lucky, because you are named after a great figure in the Bible. You must be thankful for being named so. From the very short sentence of your request, I understand you have the fear of the True God and you consider Him as the source of all blessings. You also love yourself, and this is very pleasing to God; How can a person love others without loving himself first? Without self-love, people turn to drugs, develop criminal nature or end up in suicide. All because they have no esteem of their own body and soul. They cannot love God either. They forget how wonderfully God has made them! David, you have great concern of your family. It is evident that each member of your family loves you too. You must be thankful to God for all the blessings you have been receiving from God. If you want to get something more from God, you can boldly and directly approach Him. He cannot get angry with you, for you are His precious child. He is waiting eagerly to meet you. No formality: enter a room, shut the door behind you (to avoid distractions from outside - or simply close your eyes) and call upon Jesus for help. ( Matthew 6:6). The Holy Spirit will strengthen and guide you throughout your life ( Psalms 55:22). 'Cast thy burden upon the lord, and he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.'

    Dear Mr or Ms Jgledbetter:

I certainly cannot disparage such sentiments; as to who receives tongues God does distribute severally as He wishes ( 1 Cor. 12:11). Paul evidently spoke in tongues more than anyone although there is no definitive verse saying we will recieve a particular gift and certainly I will not go as far as some Pentecostals saying if we don't speak in tongues we aren't saved.

I pray now that He indeed will grant you this; along with other desires of the heart. He does provide all good gifts; and this doesn't include material or other things as He sees fit. All other things are promised if we put the Kingdom of God first as Matthew 6:33 states. I personally haven't spoken in tongues; may have been close at times.

Obviously whatever He gives you are for ministering to the saints and personal edification; although as Paul points out there are certain aspects of personal edification that tongues uniquely places us in; with interpretation in order expected in public worship.

I think the focus needs to be on gifts in general for use in the corporate body as Paul emphasized. Whatever else He has gifted you in likely will be a catalyst for receiving tongues. Spiritual warfare in particular is an emphasis where we can be stoking the fire of the Spirit as was mentioned in scripture ( 2 Timothy 1:6). As with anything else there are warnings not to be too hasty and to make sure we know what spirit is operating when we lay hands on others; for instance.

Deep intercessory prayer is essential. Gifts of course in tongues are in a public environment actual foreign languages at times as Acts showed in the beginning; heavenly languages of course need an interpreter but the emphasis on breaking strongholds in heavenly places is the key. This; I would say with the discernment He has given me enables us to pray for other believers we haven't met physically around the world. He tells us where to go and what to do as well as what not to do.

    Blessings.

    More on spiritual rewards

Ugh got cut off again. I am determined whenever possible to rewrite things when this happens even if it is the stupidity of my pinkie finger pressing the wrong button for the umpteenth time...

Where was I? Oh yeah Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Romans 1:24. This is the END of the concept I was alluding to; namely the prosperity crowd out there whose leadership like Ananias and Sapphira aren't wiped out due to covetousness and outright lies as to where the money is going. I won't name names here a bit of research is evident. My point here is that they are left largely to their own devices; deceiving and being deceived ( 2 Tim. 3:13). I am sort of going backwards here but ultimately something that is innocuous like a piece of paper called cash (spoiler alert; in paper form it is backed by and worth nothing) is to be used for His glory not our own covetousness. That is something I am considering as I have been able to make some money buying and selling silver coins as of late. It is wise to hold on to some of these items; but the admonitions in James about the silver and gold cankering in the last days should be a warning to us all; if not in the Tribulation perhaps before that with a worldwide currency it will be either illegal to own it or it will be declared worthless in a worldwide monetary standard. Food for thought...

Luke 16:12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

If we save money and increment deliberately toward missions; childhood adoption and other needs God can bless it.

There is something powerful in knowing that "Keeping the works of the Lord" means more than obeying. It means preserving, guarding, as one guards a treasure hidden in the heart. At a time when so much is forgotten or distorted, this guarding is endurance.

seems to me to be a call not just to outward obedience, but to an inner zeal ( Rev 2:26) - something that requires vigilance against distractions, false teachings and the illusory comforts of this world. It's a faithfulness that stands the test of time, like a candle lit on long nights.

The Lord doesn't just ask us to do good, but to keep it pure - until the end. And the promise of reigning with Christ (see Rev 20:4) is given to those who persevere not by their own strength, but by continuous, silent and steadfast faithfulness.

When I read that the names of the redeemed will never be blotted out of the Book of the Lamb ( Rev 21:27), my heart calmed down. It's not the fear of losing, but the certainty of being written - not in ink, but in blood. The Book of Life records our creation ( Psalm 139:16; Dan 12:1).

And then, when I heard the doxology ( Matthew 6:9-13) of ( Revelation 7:12), I saw in it not just words, but a perfect symphony. Seven praises - praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power and might - all belonging to God, for now and also for the end of time.

The "Amen" there is not the end of a prayer, but the eternal confirmation that everything already belongs to Him. Like a song in heaven.

    Luke 18

V1. And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

    From God's perspective, prayer is a daily responsibility. ( Matthew 6:11 give us today our daily bread). That is a pray to make daily for bread. ( Ephesians 6:18 - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;). God expect us to pray not only on daily basis but He also gives details on what and how to pray for on those occasions;

    1) pray in the spirit. "In the spirit" is the first thing He mentioned on prayer. He starts with the how to pray and where to pray from. According to 1 Cor14:14 (For if I pray in tongues, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.), praying in the spirit is praying in tongues. Meaning, we ought to pray first in and from the spirit. Paul emphasized this in verse. 15 (What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.) The praying in or with understanding is the also but in and with the spirit is the first and the main way of praying. 18 (I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all). Paul prayed in tongue more than he did with the understanding. So the first thing about prayer is to be done a) daily (constantly), b) in the spirit (in tongues of the spirit), and 3) for a long time (more with tongues than with understanding). Paul prayed more in tongues than all of them in terms of volume and value of prayer. Praying in tongues increases weight, value and volume to your prayer because the spirit of God who knows what to pray for as we ought to, is the one praying through us. Praying in tongues helps you to pray better, the God's way, and for long. Tongues helped him to pray for long than he would normally do with understanding.

2)... and not to faint. With out prayer man faints, becomes weak, intimidated, dreadful, ......

    Primrose,

I just finished praying you. My sister in Christ, you'll be alright, just don't lose the faith in God/Jesus/Holy Spirit.

Feeling very fatigued at times is not only just "life" as many have experienced, but it's also apart of this "narrow way" if we decide to chose to follow Jesus Christ ( Matthew 7:14). There are a number of things that could be the reason(s) of your current grievous situation (i.e. past and/or present sins, lack of faith in God's word, God could be testing/proving you, unforgiveness in your heart toward others, ect.). The more you seek God Almighty and Jesus Christ and fully surrender to God/Jesus, in time you'll be able to identify the root of the problems/issues in your life. After which, you'll find in God's word what specific action (solution) to proceed with.

When it comes to personal personal relationships, some people are meant to be in your life temporarily; Some are meant to remain in your life for a lifetime. Choose wisely on the company that you keep ( 2 Corinthians 6:14). Stop entertaining the negative/wicked people, thoughts in your mind and the feelings you have about not being dependable for people...it's all LIES and DECEIT of our adversary ( John 8:44). Focus ALL of your energy to God ( Matthew 6:33). FYI: After reading your prayer request, I can relate to your circumstances more than you know. What you're going through right now is temporary. I know it's extremely tough, but keep on pressing and don't quit. Endure to the end!

With God with you, you can't go wrong.... "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 KJV

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

    Matthew 23: Second "woe"

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. (verse 14).

True religion according to scripture involves supporting orphans and widows; there are many DOZENS of scriptures on the subject including Psalms in the O.T. and the book of James in the N.T. Not making long prayers to be showy is also mentioned in Matthew 6:7 as to how the "heathen" pray; but of course it can be used of those who seek to appear righteous as the Pharisees did things to get approval of men as to their "piety" (see Matthew 6:5). Greed was apparently a major problem with these elites; and we can't help but see today how many "ministries" usually named after their leader manipulate people to give what they can't afford and promise their wealth will multiply (name and claim scheme). It seems doubtful the Pharisees told people they would get rich giving them a lot of their money; I would suspect.

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

This third woe describes the debtor owing the value of the gold in the Temple to God (essentially for the Pharisee's ownership) if they didn't fulfill what was vowed. Verses 20-22 explain that what is important is the altar itself and God in heaven; although Jesus warned about not swearing and making foolish vows ( Matt. 5:36-37; also repeated in James 5:12). Vows to God must be fulfilled as we see in Judges 11:36-37. As a footnote pressuring people to make vows isn't right

Brother Jesse, thanks very much for your response to me in relation to your Hebrews chap 3 commentary, but in reference to the "Lord's Prayer" here in this thread (in Matthew 6:9-13): I've always understood this prayer given to His disciples as being something that the Rabbis often gave to their 'disciples'. We know the Scripture in Luke 11:1-4, when one of Jesus' disciples came to Him and asked Him to teach them to pray, even as John (the Baptist) taught his disciples. It seems that these followers of Jesus also wanted to receive a prayer template or recitation, as was given to others by their Rabbis/leaders. Have you heard of this understanding?

And just my thoughts on "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil": using the reference you shared ( James 1:13), I also believe that the the Lord doesn't take us on dangerous paths to be tempted of Satan. Yet, this part of the prayer could also mean, 'Lord, hold us back when temptation lies ahead in wait, and give us deliverance from the evil (one)'. I know that's a very liberal transliteration of mine, but thought to throw it in as a possible way of understanding that part of that prayer. Blessings.

    (Part 2):

Well, I'm going on a rant now, but there's so many great points that you bring up that I could spend much time talking about. I'll close with a comment on your second post about those who endure to the end. We are the ones who are enduring and will endure to the end because we have Christ in us, and He will carry us to the end. And yes, even though salvation is offered to every single person who has ever been born into this world, I believe that God knew ahead of time those that would receive Him and those who would reject Him.

I do have a similar understanding of the phrase "lead us not into temptation." James 1:13 comes to mind. Also, I'm aware that in theological circles that this is part of what's known as the "Lord's Prayer," but I personally don't agree that this is the actual Lord's prayer. What's known as "The Lord's Prayer" in Matthew 6:9-13, I understand this as the Lord teaching us how to pray. I believe the actual Lord's prayer is found in John Chapter 17 where Jesus prayed in intercession for His people to the Father. That in my opinion is the real Lord's Prayer. Anyway, that's neither here nor there!

I hope you have a blessed weekend. The Lord is good!

Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.

19And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

20And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

22But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

As Jesus headed toward the boat on the shore; and retreating from the crowds temporarily He gave the two challenges to "whittle out" people; in this case a scribe and one of the disciples not to end up in the final 12 mentioned in the upcoming chapter. It is interesting in light of 1 Timothy 6:8 that food and clothing were to be things we were content with; that shelter isn't mentioned. It also isn't mentioned in Matthew 6:26-34 regarding how the birds of the air don't toil for food and clothing.

The next case involves a seemingly callous statement by Christ regarding a man burying his father. One should keep in mind that often there were long rituals taking up many months with such an event; and that Christ knew that in his heart it was a stalling mechanism. Interestingly we don't have the final response of these two individuals as we do in like scriptures. We can see that in the second case the father and rest of the family were lost individuals.

The rest of Chapter 8 finds us with two challenges or events; the first being the tempestous sea where Christ was asleep in the boat and calmed the sea; the second was the casting out of the demons into a herd of swine; and the subsequent request that Christ leave the area. We see a similar occurrence in Mark but there it appears to be one man and the statement of the demons shows that as well. Skeptics would question this but I take it as two separate events; perhaps someone can elaborate on these verses.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (further thoughts on James 1:17)

We are reminded here of another verse in James 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. (see also Matthew 6:19-20). There are other verses about silver and gold not saving us in the future wrath of God ( Zephaniah 1:18; etc). Once the mark of the Beast is established it won't be a viable option.

It is interesting to look at how a toy truck as an example is received with great joy for about a week or two maybe a couple months by a bratty kid. Five years later if he hasn't destroyed it or traded it it will likely go into storage; just for some collector 50 years hence to lovingly display it and if sold expect top dollar. Which of these is the most logical approach? Maybe the kid; because in the end it is all going to burn up with the rest of this old world. The Lord giveth and He taketh away ( Job 1:21). It is like that bad joke an elder quotes in our church about someone who got their wife to agree to take all the money with him to his grave. She said yes; I wrote a check and placed it there. In any case heaven is lined with gold streets and decorated with precious jewels. We won't be missing out there but of course it all reflects HIS glory; front and center stage.

As to the last post; in our relationships in the end we should seek to bring forth the jewels fitting for entry into heaven...And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. ( Malachi 3:17). None of us who know the Lord will miss any sinful aspects of our brothers in the Lord; and its effects of physical death and mental decline.

    Maranatha-come soon

This is the day that THE LORD has made we shall rejoice and be glad in it [ Psalm 118:24] because we believe and have faith that all our prayers are heard and answered[ Matthew 21:22] We also know that through the Grace of YAH and by the power of The Blood of YESHUA / CHRIST David, his daughters and every member of their young families are covered, bought and paid for in full [ 1 Corinthians 7:23]. the wicked one shall have no legal rights over any area of their lives. This family is set apart and sealed unto good works [ Ephesians 2:10]. May The HOLY SPIRIT of YAH/ GOD descend upon each person and may each person be aligned with the Will of YAH for their lives so that HIS decree that HIS Will be done on earth [in their lives] become an exact replication of what HE has already designed, commanded and destined in the heavens [ Matthew 6:10; Romans 8:28-30]. In YESHUA NAME I declare that the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT of YAH be upon this whole house as a wall fire round about and as HIS Glory in their midst [ Zechariah 2:5] as the fruits of the Holy Spirit of YAH/ GOD in peace, joy, love, faith, goodness, kindness, gentleness, sobriety & patience [ Galatians 5:22-23] and May all their needs be met [ Philippians 4:19] Amen!

Difference between God and Satan: Transformation of the soul

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: ( Psalm 103:2).

The scripture states in detail and multiple passages that we are to be crucified in Christ ( Gal. 2:20); the illustration of a seed from a dying plant going into the ground and renewing life ( John 12:24) and other verses on putting to death the old man and putting on the new ( Romans 8:12-13).

Nonetheless unlike the mindset of the world dying to self doesn't detract from our uniqueness or individuality. Our spirit testifies with His Spirit that we are children of God ( Romans 8:16).

I am not going to delve into whether the soul dies and the spirit lives upon death; in any case we are dead spiritually until salvation then alive after death ( 2 Cor. 5:8).

As with my last posting; the enemy has a plethora of "experiences" where it appears that some prophetic implications have been verified; other times there are parts of things often proven false and with enough delusion it seems some of the mega churches believe things that prove blatently false they are so deceived. Here are some things we often see.

    1. Dreams or visions seem to come to pass. The enemy clearly has some insight on the future and can be involved in the lives of other people as well to bring about what appears to be our "soul mates" as a common tactic. The methodology to even the slightest discerning individual clearly is an attempt to lead one astray (as often is the case when people drift into affairs). Bringing someone what they want in what appears to be the exact thing we desire means we likely are ignoring James 4:3 in particular. The Lord doesn't work like a genie in a bottle to consume ourselves with our own lusts. He gives us what we truly need and teaches us to want things that He provides and reject cheap substitutes that have no lasting value for the Kingdom.

This shows we must heed Matthew 6:33 rather than putting ourselves first.

    Proverbs 16:18 KJV

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

    Psalm 45:11 KJV

    My Respond evidence scriptures:

'So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: For he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. '

    Psalm 119:128

'Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right, And I hate every false way.'

Believing in God ( Romans 10:9-10) is a precept.

    Matthew 6:33 KJV

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Ways you can seek God is by reading your bible, and praying. Reading your bible and prayer is a sign of worship.

    2 Kings 9:30-37 KJV 2 Kings 10:1-36 KJV

    My Respond:

Romans 10:9-10 allows you to become like God at the time you believe. Believing in God is a sign of worship.

    Romans 10:9-10 KJV

9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    Colossians 2:14 KJV

'blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; '

    Ephesians 2:15-16 KJV

15 having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

God has blessed me to become like his image, my inner man having faith and believing in Jesus Christ ( Romans 10:9-10 KJV) becomes a sign of worship. Reading my Bible and praying allows things to be added to me food, raiment and to do God's commission.

Commission- The state of that which is entrusted, as the great seal was put into commission; or the state of being authorized to act or perform service
