You cannot mix law and Grace. The law kills and Grace saves. When Moses came down from the mountain of sinai, 3000 weredead but Jesus Christ came 3000 were save. You from Grace when you go to the law.

there can't be harvest, without first plowing, sowing before harvesting is done, this tells us that the greater part of the work has been done by the lord of harvest himself before , he is giving us the opportunity to be part of the success story of his labour, this therefore tells me that if we begin any thing new in the sight of men, our master has aready complete it, our surcess stories are the completed work of our saviour Jesus Christ

If you put this parable into historical context. It would be talking about either wine skins or earthen vessels. We are both vessels of skin and earthen vessels. Bottles is a technology that involves glass which did not come onto the scene for centuries. However the idea is the same. New wine is alive and fermenting while old wine is settled and aging. This parable speaks of believers and unbelievers. You cannot make an unbeliever believe nor can you make a believer into an unbeliever. Mixing old and new is not a good idea. They will ruin each other and probably ruin the vessel too. Religion tries to make a mixture of both. The original lot drawn before the beginning of times and the new doctrines of demons which cannot be mixed with pure truth. Not a bad mixture in the case of port wine but in the kingdom the two are separated by the truth. What you have just read is the wisdom of ages.

This parable is very important to the true believer. It will however when explained be devastating to those who are unbelievers but have done all the things that would make them appear as a believer. The true believer and the false believer are what is spoken of here. The old garment is the lot we were born with, our true spiritual DNA. On earth there are a mixed lot . The children of God and the children of the devil. At the end of times I speak and separate the lots. Those who can believe me are true believers those who cannot are unbelievers disguised as believers with religion and the traditions of men. My words separate the lots , tearing apart the new garment (religion) from the old (the lots). It is the same for the old and the new wine skins. If you have read these words you already know where you belong. If my words comfort you or deeply disturb you it is to late if you read them.

There are many unbelievers who fast eating only once a day. But there is a difference between a Buddhist monk and a starving poor person yet their behavior is the same. One sacrifices and the other starves. I would know for I fasted for six years and now am poor. All things are vanity. God does not desire sacrifice but obedience. I speak these words out of obedience knowing full well the difference.

Remember this, only the believer can have faith. Them that sought him did have faith because they were believers. Many were not believers so Jesus knew that when he healed someone it was because they had faith. In other words they were believers. Unbelievers sought him only to accuse him of being the father of lies. I have experienced this personally so I have become a worker in the harvest field. I have friends who are unbelievers but I condemn them not knowing that there is nothing that can convert an unbeliever into a believer. If you believe what I have just said you are a believer, if you do not I condemn you not.

v.13 watch and learn... that we should be like the LORD-"forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors..." too many times (and me too) that we want our enemies to fall in a hole, and seemingly that would be our sacrifice from that person.
That we should be "conformed to the image of Christ" and how can we do this? I answer, by the new commandment to " love one another "
Herein is the crux of the whole matter-"...o man, what is good: and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with GOD?

It's true many souls that need Christ but only few knew about salvation. I must take a responsibility to share God's love in every spur of a moment.

The Gentiles are not included for the forgiveness/redemption of sin in the blood shed of our Lord Jesus Christ. Gentiles’ forgiveness of sins is heartily believing the son of God named Jesus Christ. Verses to support Matthew 9:2 and Acts 10:43. Most Christians denominations teach that the blood shed of our Lord Jesus Christ is for the forgiveness of sins. They always preach this Gospel without verses in the bible to support their saying. Absolutely, forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ is only given to the Jews/Israel nation. Supporting verses, Psalm 130:7-8. Israel nation was redeemed and the fulfilment of Psalm 130:7-8 is in Hebrews 9:15.

Right on brother, in the Old Testament you had to earn your salvation, in the New Testament you are saved by grace. That’s the difference between the New and Old convention and had a revelation on it last night. God bless all.
  • Jay on Matthew 9 - 13 years ago
Verses 16 and 17 are examples of old nature under the law and the new nature under grace by Jesus Christ. Also trying to place the new birth under grace inside an old container under the law. The new birth takes a different preparation than Old Testament salvation.

Please take the scriptures at his word. See Matthew 9:5-6 and Luke 23:43 "today" simply means that, that is when the statement was made, that day. Paradise also includes the Garden of Eden, (earthly restoration of the kingdom) Jesus is a spirit being; (born out of the spirit, is “spirit". John 3:6 after a spiritual church is complete, the earth, and the "thief" will be resurrected to a physical condition; understand and repent and be nourished to a perfect physical condition! No limited "physical" church can accomplish this! It has been tried, see 1Corinthians15:50 "kingdom", equals the government.. Revelation 22:1; 22:17.

in this chapter i find that if you are obedient to the word that you have developed the faith in our Savior that allows him to move in your life in a way that he expects us to require of him.but not forgetting that as Christians we should apply everything we read to our lives and make it our worship to spread the benefits of walking in faith
