    Hey studying Revelation.

    I agree with the study bible, the one I use has relating scripture in the middle and the scripture is half the page and commentaries on the bottom half. I love it you can study one page for hours for every time you go to another relative scripture it has more relating verses that will carry you all over the Bible.

    I just listed two reasons that revelation is hard, it is made up of visions John was given and some of the visions are different, but are about the same event, but are in different parts of the book. And some things have not been revealed like the seven thunders John was told not to write and seal up.

    I guess you are referring to Isaiah 24 on the upside-down, I don't see it fitting Genesis, maybe. I do agree with the last generation, whenever that will be, they may be shown what we cannot see now, if we die before it starts, we will wake up, and there we will be with Jesus.

    Revelation gets a little easier to read with a STUDY BIBLE.

    The kind that have CENTER OF EACH PAGE, Reference Columns. There are tiny abc's Within the scriptures on each page; that match to the ones in the center reference column.

    They point us forward or backward to other relevant scriptures or prophesies (fulfilled or unfulfilled)

    I don't care for the study Bibles that use the bottom of the page, or the sides.

    Revelation is using many references to other scriptures. A serious student needs one of these.

    I have to have many spiral notebooks to guide me in these referenced scriptures. I title it with what is happening in the Revelation scriptures.

    That is how I discovered that God had turned the earth upside down. Which may be the way Genesis began. That's one of those studies that I choose to leave in Gods hands.

    If He had wanted us to know what happened 2 Billion years ago; He would have included a book and chapters for it in the Bible. OR.maybe He was waiting on the children in the Book of Daniel; a generation that would be alive during "the Time of the End". Daniel 12:9-10 Wise children.

    Children who walk with the Holy Spirit. Able to despise all for to be the Lords servants. You can't love this world that will pass away. Love the God who is going to destroy this world and then restore it. Back to what it was when Adam was put in it.

    Who would have the power of the key to the bottomless pit and give permission to use? Jesus in Revelation 1:18 had the keys of hell and death and is alive evermore. The Revelation the Lamb is worthy to open the seals thereof. Revelation 5:9-10 And they sang a new song, saying Though are worthy to take the book, and open the seals thereof: for though was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

    And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

    Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and him was given the key of the bottomless pit. Revelation 20:1 says: And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

    One stronger than Satan and all other evil spirits could and did bound this bottomless pit by the power of the resurrection. This is the completed Work of Christ for those who could now look to Jesus as the author and finisher of their faith and be saved from the dominion of death and hell with Satan and his evil spirits.

    The Kingdom of Christ could now come down from heaven to dwell among men. Saved children of God on earth could become citizens of the Kingdom instead of as aliens without the gate.

    The same citizens could now reign with Jesus for a thousand years. These citizens of the Kingdom can pray intercessory prayers and sing a pure praise to the Lord.

    So another view is the 1000 years is the Gospel era. The loosing of Satan towards the end of time will help clarify the Kingdom of Heaven from the kingdom of the world. This present Kingdom view is peaceable and is contained in all the doctrines of the Bible including turning swords into ploweshares.

    Revelation is hard, for one, it is not in chronological order, and not all has been revealed to us. Pray and keep in mind there are answers we may never be given. At this time there have been 3.5 years of tribulation by Satan, the beast, the false prophet, and the great whore Babylon, and Babylon was just destroyed by the ten kings/countries of the beast. ( Revelation 17, 18).

    These same ten kings/kingdoms/countries will make war with Jesus, ( Revelation 17:14). They were rejoicing in heaven and "his wife hath made herself ready" and "Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb" ( Revelation 19:1-10).

    In ( Revelation 19:11-21) we see Jesus coming with his armies, ( Matthew 25:31) that were in heaven, and the call to the fowls to gather to the supper of the great God. ( Ezekiel 39: 17-20) There are more scriptures on the coming of Jesus, ( Matthew 24: 29-31) ( Mark 13:24-27) ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17), and more. The beast and false prophet are cast into the lake of fire and the remnant of the armies are destroyed by the sword proceeding out of the mouth of Jesus. The power of His word wiped them out.

    Then in Revelation 20, Satan is locked in the bottomless pit, to be there for one thousand years, and Jesus sets up His Kingdom and the camp of the saints. So scripture tells us when Jesus returns with all His holy angels/armies, He sends angels to gather His elect. Who are in this first resurrection? The description of them is in ( Revelation 20:4). Are they all that will be saved? Are they the most loyal elect that is given this honor? The key is the white throne judgment, is it only for the lost as taught? Why is the book of life opened ( Revelation 20:12)? Should we not consider ( Matthew 25:31-46) ( John 5:28-29) ( Acts 24:15). Do we overlook ( Revelation 20:15)?

    I know this does not answer your question, if it can be answered, but may it inspire study.

    Revelation is sometimes hard to sort out. I find it easier to go with what is written in the Bible.

    When the Father releases the Son to go get His Bride (called, CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS)

    1. Jesus already has Saints in heaven that died long ago. From Genesis until the present day.

    During the Caught Up, Jesus resurrects the dead in Christ. They named Jesus as their Lord and Savior; prior to death.

    2. Christ Followers, alive upon earth, will be Caught Up in the clouds, 2nd.

    Believers will receive their resurrection bodies and white robes.

    I very much trust what I have learned about Jesus thus far. I trust, I follow. I don't need to know every detail of what happens next.

    As the Bride of Christ, we have already entered into Covenant with Him. We're engaged. We've been personally invited to attend the Marriage Supper. Only those who accepted the invitation may attend.

    I'm one of those people that says stuff like; here's where we are now; and here is where we're going. Criticizing doesn't alter Focus. I know in whom I have believed and love. I don't need an itinerary. It's in the Bible.

    It's very human to want to know what happens next. Faith says, I'm All In. Jesus said often, Follow Me. I hope this can quell some of those fears of the "Unknown". I do not believe anyone is going to get lost.

    For me now, I keep my faith eyes on Jesus and do as best I can, to follow His known will. If sin pops up, I kick it to the curb, and keep following.

    I don't enjoy arguing. I love seeing me produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Keep my mind anchored to whatever is pure, lovely and of good report.

    The Commander of the Host leads, and everyone follows Him. Don't fret the details. Trust Jesus implicitly. Read of Gideon and how God worked all that presupposition out of him. I love that story!

    Note that Paul didn't say that 100% of the time, when 100% of all people die, that instantly you are absent from the body and 100% of the time immediately with the Lord. Paul just said he would 'rather' be present with the Lord. I think some are reading things into that that aren't there and it seems contrary to other scripture about us all facing judgment. No one gets to skip judgment. Matthew 12:36, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:11-15 - People are all judged on the same day. Lots of people seen in the same place.

    I doubt mass murderers like Hitler went to the Lord for example. I believe he is waiting to face judgment like everyone else.

    1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says the dead will rise and those living will meet the Lord in the air. Would it make sense for someone to go heaven, then back to earth to rise up, then back again to heaven?

    Also, when people die they 'sleep' as it says in. So, they are still with their bodies. If cremated, I still believe souls are just sleeping somewhere awaiting Jesus's return, then the day of judgment that says everyone must face. It doesn't say anyone gets to skip judgment day. God bless.

    The warning to not take the mark is specifically for the 144 thousand sealed saints. They are the only ones strong enough not to take the mark ( Revelation 20:4). God knows everyone else, Christian or not, will accept the mark during the great tribulation. This is human instinct to survive any way possible. Chapter 14 is for the saints.

    ( Revelation 14:9-11)

    9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

    10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

    11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

    There are Bible accounts you accept at face value, and others you don't accept at face value (more to it than meets the eye). If you don't understand who the immediate audience is, you will not gain full understanding. You will think it's directed at you, and say something like "I wouldn't take the mark", when in fact, you most certainly will take the mark. Most Christian's are weak as water and will clamor to take the mark. God knows the hypocrites, Christian's in name only will lose their religion for their bellies. Each claim must be proven in its measure, and this one has problems in its rhetorical design.

    Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

    It uses the word "destruction."

    I don't know if you believe in hell or not. Most Christians do, because the Bible warns us about hell. So, if you believe in hell, the next question is how long does it last? Instant destruction/death, medium term death, long term, or eternity? The Bible uses different synonyms, examples, parables, etc to describe hell. For example, if you keep reading in Matthew 7 verse 19 it calls it a 'fire'. Matthew 8:12 says there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Mark 9:48 says the worm never dies and fire unquenched. 2 Thessalonians 1:9 says "everlasting destruction." I interpret this is not short. Revelation 20:10 also suggests it's not short in duration. Jude 1:7 - uses the word "eternal fire." Matthew 25:46, Matthew 25:41. These are only a handful of examples and I think there are more suggesting that hell is not an instant death. If you find just as many verses saying hell is instant and you die instantly, please share them. I also don't believe the word death or destruction automatically means it's instant. It can happen over a longer period of time. For example Adam and ate the fruit and was condemned to death, but lived 930 years. He became mortal and died just like God said and it wasn't instant, but the death was slow. Is it out of the question to consider the same could be true for hell, especially since many verses say it's eternal?

    People will likely interpret the duration differently and we probably won't know for sure until the end. But because of the scripture, the context, that hell is intended to be a punishment for those who disobeyed, I do not believe it is an instant death. I think people will be very sorry and deeply regret they disrespected God and did not take Him seriously and I believe God will fairly see those who chose evil are punished. God bless.

    Tom Any action in life that is done in repetition that is sin is in the category of seared conscience because a person does it not feeling a sense of right or wrong when doing it. Eventually it gets to feeling normal and the mind justifies the action not believing its wrong. A clear conscience is produced by endeavoring to line up our actions with scripture I.E. living it. We endeavor to walk with a clear conscience toward God.

    Notice verse 11.

    God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

    Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

    Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

    For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

    Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

    For he that is dead is freed from sin.

    This is something one can be freed from, atleast a repented heart.

    Hello, keep in mind that all sin leads to death. Only through Jesus do we have hope for eternal life in heaven. And that doesn't mean it's a pass to commit sin as some assume, but we are to put away the old sinful self and become slaves to righteousness. Doing good is good. Some people falsely claim that doing bad is better than doing good and we know where that comes from. God bless.

    I have a serious problem with the idea that taking the mark condemns you to hell. Are these survivors Christian's that should know better than to take the mark, but do so because they are lukewarm? Either way, you will take the mark cause your flesh is weak. We are human, corruptible, and as such we do sin that Christ has already covered on the cross, so what's going on here? Why are you so confused to misrepresent scripture, so it makes sense to you? Why can't you connect the dots using what God gave you?

    You will take the mark to avoid being shot at, tortured, stabbed or killed. The ones taking the mark will do so to survive, their families, that's a natural response. If you don't the take the mark, you'll die of want, so why not kill yourself to save yourself? Killing yourself is a sin, but it's better than the mark, right? This amounts to false fear mongering, misinterpreting the end times, plain and simple.

    Now listen to this: the refusal of the mark is addressed specifically towards the one hundred forty four thousand sealed saints from twelve tribes of Israel. They are the only ones strong enough to not take the mark. I know you never ever knew this truth before, and don't try to say you did. Just be glad you know now, and don't forget where you learned it, either. Everyone else during the great tribulation will be eating their portion of anti-christ's meat.

The hand symbolizes a person works (good or bad) and the forehead symbolizes a persons mind (carnal or Godly, saved or unsaved, redeemed or unredeemed) If it was a patch or tattoo or a micro chip- it would be easier to refuse. (Just like the phony "vaccine" they're trying to force on everyone who refuses to take it.)

    My 5cents worth? I look at it as a "dress rehearsal". I am totally switching gears here, but staying in Revelations. Is the bride it's talking about a church? If so which one? (for there ARE many). It says something about they having his name in their foreheads. Any thoughts? Is Jesus looking for a particular church (bride)?, a particular people? Together in Christ.

    What makes you think the mark will have a Muslim signet?

    And will it be so blatant that the issuers of the mark will present it as a means to buy or sell? I imagine it will be sold to the public as a device for bringing peace; that when it is proposed will obviously offend (descerning) christians, who will be persecuted for not being willing to help their fellow man bring said peace.

    I have a Question: in Revelation, it mentions 42 Months 1260 days, 3 1/2 years..Then if you read Daniel 12:11 & 12, it mentions 1290 days,and verse 12 it says blessed is the man who reaches 1335 days..What is the purpose of the additional 75 days? or is it a mystery of GOD....

    No the vaccine is not the mark of the beast, You will know when it is presented to the World, as a method to allow you to buy & sell products..it will be similar to a patch which will have an muslim signet on it..Remember there is no FEAR in CHRIST..i RECCOMEND READING REVELATION 17:17,which states that GOD is the Director of the last day events..

    I'll disregard your first question as you've asked me to do. Your question "how do I interpret those "asleep" in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17?"

    That phrase "asleep" is referring to the physical body. It gives the appearance of being asleep but it is dead. There's no such thing as "soul sleep" as some teach. The word death literally means separation. When we die physically, there is a separation that takes place. The soul separates from the body and either goes to be with the Lord (If we are saved), or goes to a place called Hades and waits for the resurrection that will take place after the thousand-year reign of Christ.

    I understand every single person will stand before Christ and give an account. I can't disagree with that. But before I can answer you, I need to know your understanding of judgment. What will the believer be judged for?

    It looks like you're saying that everyone will be judged at the same time, both believers and non-believers alike. Is that what you are saying? That is interesting because you use Revelation 20:11-15 as one of the verses that suggest to you that "everyone as a big group will be judged at the same time." Revelation 20:11-15 is speaking about the Great White Throne Judgement. No believer will stand before that judgement. That judgment is for all those who rejected Christ. They will all be judged and cast into the lake of fire. Not one single person who stands before the judgment spoken of in Revelation 20:11-15 will enter into heaven. The believer will stand before the Bema Seat of Christ, not the Great White Throne Judgment.

    2 Corinthians 5:10 is referring to the Bema Seat of Christ, not the Great White Throne Judgment. (Two separate judgments!

    There's a lot packed into Matt 25. If you would like to go over it, I would be happy to do so.

    The person who has received Christ is not going to be judged to determine heaven or hell. Jesus Christ already paid for that. The believer will be judged to determine their reward

    What about these verses that indicate people will sleep in-between while awaiting Jesus's return: Job 14:12, 1 Thessalonians 4:14.

    These scriptures are a warning from God. Is this relevant in the year 2021. from someone who was pulled out of the snake pit of hell; so be wise and don't go near writings that aren't in the Bible.

    Astrology is not even a science. It's a religion. The only sign that Christians have, is the BLOOD OF JESUS. Same goes for Apocrypha.

    Please, please, may we all quit dabbling in and around the evil that inhabits these things...so as to give a comment on them.

    There are many more people WHO WANT TO HEAR THE TRUTH. They need to be saved. They've heard Jesus knocking on the door of their hearts. The Harvest is here, now.

    Even for us Christians, we need to read those Ezekiel verses. This is going to come up at the BEMA seat judgment of Christ. Rewards or no rewards. Everything we do has to pass through the fire.

    I have a question for us all. How do you think world governments are going to pay for all this destruction and disasters in the great nations of the world? Billions and Trillions of dollars?

    * The white horse of the Apocalypse represents religious deception; money system

    * The red horse of the Apocalypse represents wars.

    * The black horse of the Apocalypse represents famines.

    Jess, Precious friend, I don't believe God Has a "Double Indemnity" for sin; ie:

    "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their WORKS." ( Revelation 20:12).

    This then makes sense, since God, The Father IS SATISFIED With His SON's FULL Payment for ALL sin, Correct?
