  • Asser Shivute on Revelation 21:8 - 12 years ago
    We are told to live Holy, because we are immitating Christ. we are warned to do what is good in presence of God and other humans for us to earn eternal salvation. Salvation is for those who do good but not who do evils.

  • Timothy Wayne George on Revelation 21:1 - 12 years ago
    The New Heaven, and the New Earth will come after the 1000 year reign of the Messiah on the Earth, then the devil will be set free from the abyss for a short time to deceive the nations. God will bring fire down to destroy them. After this the Devil will be cast into the Lake of fire with the Antichrist, and false prophet. Next the second resurrection of all unbelievers, then the White Thrown Judgment takes place, and all those whose names are not written in the Lamb's book of life will be cast into the lake of fire prepared for the Devil, and his angels. We don't know how long after this, but II Peter 3 tells about the New Heavens, and Earth. Jesus will rule, and His Kingdom shall have no end. The New Jerusalem will come down from heaven, and the tabernacle of God will be with man. Just as Jesus said blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. There will be perfect holiness to God forever.

    I have studied chapter 19,20,21 many times .It is very good. But i need a clarification. Please explain.In bible it is said that a new earth and new heaven will come made up of gold, pearls,precious stones etc. I like to know whether this type of new earth comes when the son of man arrives as a second coming and judging the world (or)whether this type of new earth comes after 1000 years of gods rule when latter the Satan will be loosened and then sent in to fire lake?

    To: Mark Hudson: ...to the SECOND argument regarding to the missing the flames of hell... ...whosoever was "not found written in the book of life" was cast into the lake of fire ( Revelation 20:15) any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie ( Revelation 21:27) the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars ( Revelation 21:8) and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the "books", according to their "works" ( Revelation 20:12)... ...and this includes THEM WHO "DRAW BACK" UNTO PERDITION (Hebrew 10:36-39) who are called "LOST" ( John 17:12) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them like the dog that turned to his own vomit again (2-Peter 2:21-22) whereunto they desire again to be in bondage ( Galatians 4:9)...THEREFORE...we must NOT BELIEVE the LIARS telling us that we shall not be judged when we TURNED BACK AND WERE LOST after we received the remission of our sins by the grace of God through the blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ...

    This is God's will for all who exercise faith in the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth; and love others as themselves, which is to happen here on earth once God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven ( Matthew 6:10).
  • Alicia Allen on Revelation 21:4 - 12 years ago
    Praise GOD for His grace! The Lamb, Lord Jesus, bore our transgressions and separation from our Creator (because of man's first sin) so that we may know His kingdom! The curse of man was broken though His perfect life, His death, and His Resurrection! He lives today and soon He's coming back to judge the whole world! Repent and "call upon the name of the Lord and thou SHALT be SAVED"!!!

    To: all my Brothers & sisters debating this particular text; here how to settle the debate; go
    get your Bibles and read ( Revelation 21:8). No one has to be guilty of murdering anyone, nor harbor forgiveness in their hearts, just let God Arise And His Enemies Be scattered!! It's a done deal, because its already deseeded the outcome of those who practice these things. In the meantime let's pray that God would have mercy upon them. Pray for the spirit of conviction to penetrate their hearts before Jesus returns

    If we had family who did not make it in to heaven,there would be tears in heaven,what we know now will not be in heaven,if it was, then there would be sorrow in heaven and the tears would flow.

    A New Heaven and a New Earth
    Hundreds of years before John’s day, Jehovah had said to Isaiah: “For here I am creating new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart.” ( Isaiah 65:17; 66:22) This prophecy was initially fulfilled when faithful Jews returned to Jerusalem in 537 B.C.E. after their 70-year exile in Babylon. . In that restoration, they formed a cleansed society, “a new earth,” under a new governmental system, “new heavens.” The apostle Peter, however, pointed to a further application of the prophecy, saying: “But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” (2 Peter 3:13) John now shows that this promise is fulfilled during the Lord’s day. “The former heaven and the former earth,” Satan’s organized system of things with its governmental structure influenced by Satan and his demons, will pass away. The turbulent “sea” of wicked, rebellious mankind will cease to exist. In its place will be “a new heaven and a new earth”—a new earthly society under a new government, God’s Kingdom.

    concerning verse 4, I believe the tears that will be wiped away are the tears of sorrow that after seeing the Father and all His beauty for the first time we will weep that we did not spend more time with Him when we had opportunity after opportunity.

    The cowardly, murderers, sexually immoral, socerers, and all liars shall have their part in the Lake of Fire, and Brimstone where the devil,Antichrist, and false prophet are, which is the second death. Hell was not prepared for man, but for the devil and his fallen angels. To go to hell one has to reject Jesus Christ as their Savior, who stands at the door of their heart knocking for them to open the door to Him. Praise God that there will be nothing impure that will enter the New Jerusalem.

    @Roger,
    1. The invisible God was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory ( John 1:14);
    2. Born again Christians in the church age will spend eternity in the New Jerusalem after the millennial reign of Christ and white throne judgment ( Revelation 21:2, 3, 10);
    3. Salvation comes by believing on the lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior ( Romans 10:9-13);
    4. There are many cults that believe in God, Jehovah as their saviour, but the bible does not support believing in God, as source of salvation. We as believers must always remember to make this distinction that Jesus that died on the cross of Calvary for our sins. It becomes confusing to the unbelievers and those that are ignorant of the scriptures;
    5. It is now in these days of the spirit of the anti-Christ that we must make distinctions and give heed to matters that pertain to the absolute truth of God's holy word.

    And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. It is an assurance from God for Mankind to know that they got Policy Description about their Life after Death.

    Blessed is he that reads the word of prophecy.
  • Grace on Revelation 21 - 13 years ago
    God tries and uses every opportunity to make Himself plain. John’s revelation in verse 3 confirms that God dwells with His people as seen in 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19. God is not unaware of the sufferings, pain, sorrow, injustices of this life and all sorts of maltreatments which His people are sometimes subjected to. Even Christ was not spared of such. The assurance here in verse 4 is that in the eternal glory, these will no longer be; hence there will be no more need for tears, crying, etc… nor death.

    I wrote a comment about the Lamb's Wife in Revelation 21:9... no so much a great mystery. If people read the Bible, found this verse, If you’re doing "Research" next time read the whole Bible.
