Whether you're belief is right or wrong I believe you are out of line to come on a open Christian site and call people stupid for not believing what you believe.

Are you really trying to help or are you just concerned with winning the argument.

Peter if you are right and really trying to help, you can't seek and destroy, you will loose any opertunity to help them.

When we die, our souls return to God the Father, not to Jesus.

( Ecclesiastes 12:7) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Sunday is the first day of the week and would be considered a work day anyway according to the scriptures. Also it is known that it is lawful to serve God(or do good which still serves God by the way...) even on the Sabbath as Jesus Christ the Messiah did. Remember that we are to do our best to serve Jesus Christ every day. Ask the Father for forgiveness and do your best. Don't read the scriptures. Study the scriptures try to understand what is good and incorporate the teachings into your life... study the Bible from beginning to end... and then study it some more.

God commissioned Jeremiah to relocate David's throne, and the arch of the covenant, before king Nebuchadnezzar could plunder the temple. If you Google Jacob's stone you will see it underneath the throne where kings have been coronated on. God's promise that David's throne would continue unbroken is true ( Jeremiah 33:17).

Jesse, You say at our death we go in spirit to be with Jesus. If Jesus is the spirit of God and God is indwelling man then it appears we will be in others as he is in us. Is this correct? Sounds like heaven is man.

The chapter begins with "And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel,..." We cannot pass judgement on all the characters involved here because then we will be no better than the men that brought the woman before Christ, demanding her judgement because she was caught in the very act of adultery. We know Christ's reaction. I always wondered where the man in this incident was. (another post).

As usual, the Lord desires us to look within our selves and make righteous judgments. Decisions that will make an impact in our own lives and where we live. Our homes, neighborhood, cities, states, nation. I am by no means perfect, nor am I holier than anyone else.

A sad commentary on society, and even so that it happened in a city of the Israelites. I was taught to take care of our women folk. ( 1Peter 3:7) But we are in a point of our society that we do as we please, for there was no king in Israel at this time. v. 1.

We have abandon our core beliefs and are as rudderless boats "tossed about with every wind of doctrine." Eph 4:14

We must fall on the mercies of God, 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Our hope is to bring as many people to the knowledge and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ before the trumpet sounds and the church is taken to heaven. Rise up my brethren, for our redemption is very near. Get right with the Lord, pray for others, let's go out and make disciples Matthew 28:18-20.

Yes, it is the little horn of Daniel 7 verse 8 the Lord uses to change the heart of man through fiery judgment!

Watching the sun rise while looking across the fields of corn, I believe only, that His purpose is to bring us unto Him .A mighty God ,who through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son , has redeemed man and the seed that will follow, even too those that love Him!

The silo's that soon will hold the grain, that will feed the world. Such is His word toward man. A word full of love , that it too will go out and bring forth more life, even unto a new generation! These things are according to His will, how wonderful are His ways, even past finding out!

How beautiful, is the ground, that this country is made of! Oh, how green and full of life!

Yet, we hear him say ! There will be a day of judgment, fiery, without respect of persons places or things! Behold how a little leaven will change the heart of man! Look how it works!

A-MEN, to that! No where in the Word of God will we find this made up word rapture. This is what happens when people reads commentaries rather then the true Word of God. Galatians 1:6-10 ( I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

You did not mention if the people you can not tolerate is sinner or saint. Sometimes it is better for Christians to separate themselves, (if possible) from anybody that may provoke them to anger, especially unbelievers; 2 Corinthians 6:14

(Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?)

Every time you start thinking on these negative thoughts, remind yourself of God's Word, First John 4:4 (Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.) The most important thing you can do is ask God to forgive you,/ you forgive them, and constantly pray, may the Lord Jesus help you in your trials.

Lets establish a time frame for, before the millennium age, by the scriptures you referenced.

Revelation 16:16 -just before Christ's return Gog's army is gathered.

Joel 3:2 "I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat...."

Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for (the day of the LORD is near) in the valley of decision.

Ezekiel 38:15 -day of the Lord attack on Israel.

Revelation 20:8 the post millennium battle. How is it that Gog was destroyed by Jesus at His coming, and only a thousand years later, Gog's numbers are as the sand of the sea? I suspect this is a metaphor of an allegory, wrapped in an enigma working here.

Psalm 83:2-8 David's prayer against Israel's oppressors. You have something here, great job. The mention of Edom (Russia/Esau) as the root cause gives merit to this last conflict reference.

Hello Lex. Others here have responded, which should encourage you that we are mindful of what you are going through, identifying with your struggles, & by being in Christ, there is always hope ahead & only His Light that is at the 'end of the tunnel of despair'.

Re-reading your comments over & over again, I'm wondering whether you have really been taught in God's Word & therefore unable to believe & hang on to its Truths. You only know what took place when you first repented of your sins, turning to Jesus for forgiveness & then subsequently baptized in water. The Word of God tells us that we can know that our salvation is both real & secure: Romans 10:9 "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou SHALT be saved." And verse 13, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved." If we have called upon the Lord, putting our faith in His Work for us by His death & resurrection, God will fulfil His Promise that we will receive His Salvation & be welcomed into His family.

The other point that you can take confidence in is the fact of your distress over the state of your soul after being saved. A person who doesn't belong to the Lord, has no such concern, simply because the things of Christ are meaningless to him. The fact that you are agonizing about your salvation & unbelief must prove God's Spirit working in you: maybe keeping you restless until you take God seriously for all that He has said. If you have doubts & fears about your salvation or the Truth of God's Word, then these are not from within you but from the enemy of our souls who wants to keep you bound & therefore weak in faith & Christian experience. Spending time on things that are contrary to the Bible & your salvation, instead of God's Word, gives Satan a fertile ground to work with. Remember, God does forgive us our sins, but we still have to believe in that fact & continue on in our walk with Him.

Just remember which half of the Bible you are looking at.

Apostle Paul saw 3rd Heaven. John and Peter saw Jesus speaking to Moses and Elijah. Stephen the evangelist saw heaven open and Jesus stand up..as the people stoned him to death.

I had problems like that when I was younger. Now I'm a bit more wiser. Evangelizing complete strangers works that out of you. Because you see with Jesus's eyes and heart.

We are to be the Body of Christ when we are confronted with those feelings. The heart of the Lord is Mercy.

Usually, it is Who is inside of you, that is being repelled by What is in them. It will help if you google: The Armor of God, Teaching. Do not read Wikipedia posts as they are google teachings.

Ephesians 6: If a person, Christian or Unbeliever, has an invisible evil spirit at work, in the vicinity; trying its best to bring enmity into the situation:

That is your enemy. It's invisible but you can see, feel and experience the FRUIT that spirit is revealing it's presence. It may be trying to shoo you away from telling that person anything about Jesus.

You need to put each piece of your Armor on and know what each piece does. Read in the Gospels, what Jesus said and how he responded to spiritual confrontations.

Sometimes it really helps if we make an appointment to run by the Church at lunch and have a prayer with Pastors wife. It's private and confidential. I know she and Pastor will pray for me later. It's cool.

We're all called to be likable; not necessarily 'like' everyone we meet.

The Holy Spirit opened up JOB 1, to me concerning satan and his bad angels. He accuses us right and left. The sneak around observing what we do, what we say under our breath about bad drivers and grumpy people. Satan saw that Job was afraid his kids were not worshiping God right so Job did it for them. Satan sees our fears, our actions, mean mumbling, our wealth and luxury's we like; knows all our friends with "loose mouth", not comforting, speech. Satan destroyed everything Job had, and left Job sitting in the dirt.

It's best to be silent and trust God even more than we do now. I think you have this under control, you just don't like it. No one does.

I disagree with those ideas. You didn't say whether you believed Luke 17:36? If someone reads the context of the chapter it's clear what's happening. You believe you have an obligation to the truth and others who disagree with you may likewise feel the same obligation to correct your unsound Bible interpretations as well. It must be noted that this isn't a salvation issue.

The best solution rather than to instigate quarrels or to call people mean names is to pray to God for wisdom, discernment and understanding of His Word. Have you tried this?

You're not alone in this struggle, there's areas we continue to grow by praying and continuing in the word,

Our spiritual growth is increased by God, not our own efforts, That's one of the several things I never could do on my own, and compassion would just come from nowhere, It's the fruit of the spirit, we are to abide in Christ, We may be able to control the our actions externally but inwardly is where we need help,

Look what Jesus tells the Pharisees:

Matthew 23:25-28. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

There's a Devine connection between 2 true believers, a brotherhood created by the Lord himself. They have the same Spirit, connected to the same vine and have the same vine dresser,

When there seems to be some disconnect that want mend there is a chance someone is not connected to the vine,

This is a problem in the Christian community,

Different views of doctrine has exposed carnal or false Christians by hate that can be seen, It is something to be concerned with but it may be an area the Lord will have to deal with.

Proverbs 16:7. When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

You have been given some pretty sound biblical advice here. If I might add, Hebrews 6:4-6 is not talking about a born again believer losing salvation as salvation cannot be lost.

I would like to also share with you what I get from Mark 9:24, the verse you shared. I'm glad you brought this verse up.

It says, "And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."



Nowhere in the Bible does it challenge someone to come up with their own faith so that Jesus can perform in your life. That's the cry of a person. I believe, but Lord Help my unbelief because I can't believe. Only God can give me that. Help my unbelief!



It is always the strong point in a person's life when they can approach the Lord, even as a nonbeliever, even if you don't understand the things of God, you can still approach Him and say "Lord, if you are real, make yourself real to me!"



I mean, even a nonbeliever, somebody who doesn't believe in God, they are asking God to do it all because they realize their human inability to figure Him out.



If you have ever looked at the awesomeness of an electrical storm, you can just sense that there is an awesome God behind all of this because this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the universe.



But how are you going to find God? How are you going to know about Him? You know, when you come to Him and say, help my unbelief, I am empty, magnify yourself to me, show yourself to me, because I don't have the ability to know, and He reaches down to those people to manifest Himself.

If you have truly called out to the Lord to save you, His promise is that He will do so ( Romans 10:13). And once you are saved, your salvation can never be lost!

Read the next verse down ( Luke 17:37):

37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

The disciples asked Jesus where these people are being "taken", and Jesus explains that they are dead. Therefore, siting that and other like scriptures, I reject the notion of divine intervention for end-time sinners as fantasy. Hebrews 9:27

I have an obligation to correct those who spread unsound Biblical methods. If we don't reprove one another, we have babel.

John 3:13 is not telling us that we do not get to go be with the Lord. You have to keep in mind that when Jesus spoke those words, He had not yet been crucified, He had not yet been resurrected, and He had not yet ascended up into heaven. Also, the Holy Spirit had not yet come, and I'll explain why that is important in understanding this verse.

Jesus rose from the dead so that we also will rise to be with him upon our own physical death. Those who belong to Christ, when our fleshly body dies, our spirit goes to be with the Lord immediately.

Here is what I believe John 3:13 is saying:

Jesus is saying that I am the only One that has come down from heaven. He says, But if I tell you earthly things and you don't get it, and you are the master teacher. You see, he should have associated the Lord's teaching to Ezekiel Chapter 37 Verses 1 through 15.



This is where God takes the prophet and He shows them a valley of dead bones and says this is Israel.

Spiritually dead! And He says to him, prophecy over these bones that flesh would come on them. And the bones came together and the flesh came on the bones.



And then He says prophecy to the wind that the wind would blow on them and breathe life in them. And he prophesies and the wind blows and they are filled with life and spirit.



And so God's promise to His people Israel is that you are spiritually dead until my spirit gives you life. But right now you are spiritually dead!



And He tells Nicodemus, you should have known what I was talking about. How can you be the master teacher in Israel and you don't know anything about being born from above? You don't know anything about the wind blowing, and how the spirit moves!

So at the time Jesus said "no man hath ascended up to heaven," that would have been true as the Holy Spirit had not yet come, and no one can go be with the Lord unless they are born of God's Spirit (Holy Spirit indwelling).

Hello, developing character and becoming more Christlike is a process, a journey through intentional effort over time. It doesn't magically happen, but takes regular practice.

Christianity is an action to actively follow (pursue) Christ and try to emulate Him and obey His teachings. It takes a lot of effort. Paul struggled himself and likened it to him running a race to win the prize. The prize is not won yet- that happens after this life when we are first judged and by following Christ we have hope for everlasting life with Him in heaven. I personally do not believe anyone is saved until after God judges us.

1 John 1:6 "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:"

1 John 2:4 "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."

Matt 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

There are days that I absolutely cannot tolerate certain people. If I pray for them does this mean I have love in my heart for them even knowing I want nothing to do with them? I know God doesn't give us the spirit of confusion, I do know where that comes from. I have been struggling with this for some time now. I am saved and asked Jesus to come into my heart, I will never forget that day, not ever! Please, can someone help me to understand how a person can be saved and yet have such bitterness. I know I m supposed to forgive and I have often. I don't want to struggle with this any longer. I can say I love them because I can pray or forgive them but want nothing to do with them, is that coming from a person that has asked the Holy SPirit to come into their lives??? Please help. Thank you JR. I am praying right now for the Lord to be with you both & for a real love & understanding to re-enter your marriage. Please don't suffer this in silence; there are probably others reading your story who are also bringing you both before the Lord. Share your agony with a friend or someone you can really trust, so that you never feel alone - otherwise this can be very soul destroying, leading to further problems.

The Lord is the One Who fully understands & can completely heal; look to Him constantly for strength & continue to exercise faith believing that He is working on your behalf. With the Lord, nothing is impossible. Always know that you are special & precious to Him, in spite what anyone might say or do to hurt or undermine your character. Rejoice in that, live for Jesus, & exude Christ's Love & understanding as your witness to all. Remember, with Jesus at your side giving you wisdom & strength, you can do all things (in the physical, emotional & spiritual realms) to live above the griefs & burdens of life. Philippians 4:13.
