    Hello Godfrey. Psalm 119 is a Wisdom Psalm concerning the Law of God & is written as an alphabetic acrostic in which each stanza of eight verses is devoted to the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet. So as you read the Psalm from verse 1, you will notice the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph), then at verse 9 (Beth), verse 17 (Gimel), and so on. Of course, if a Hebrew-speaking person had to write those words in English, he may spell them slightly differently, but the essence of each letter is the same as shown in this Psalm.

    Brother Philip, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    If leaven ALWAYS represents sin and evil; explain:

    Luke 13:21 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of GOD (CHRIST IN YOU)?

    Luke 13:22 It (CHRIST IN YOU) is like LEAVEN ........

    Dear Brother Earl,

    We sure do have different interpretations of the same Bible....not saying you are wrong or right, just disagreeing with your assumptions.

    I stated scripture that says God's law will stay in affect until the earth and heavens pass, and I stated the earth and heavens HAVE NOT passed yet....

    You said: WHY HASN'T IT PASSED? And you listed the following scripture:

    Rev:21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;

    The ending of this verse ends with: and there was no more sea.

    We still have the seas...all the body's of water oceans etc. are still here!

    If you continue reading Rev: 21:2-4

    2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

    People on this earth are still dying, still crying, still in pain.....

    We are still waiting for the Prophesy written about by apostle John in Revelation.....

    God Bless

    God, my Bible, says the seventh day is the Sabbath. Exodus 20:10.

    Saturday, or the seventh day in the weekly cycle, is the only day in all of scripture designated using the term Sabbath.

    Constantine did think he changed the Sabbath. Daniel 7:25 ... .and think to change times and laws. Because he thought doesn't mean he changed it. On March 7, 321, however, Roman Emperor Constantine I issued a civil decree making Sunday a day of rest from labor, stating: All judges and city people and the craftsmen shall rest upon the venerable day of the sun.

    In Malachi 3:6, God says I am God I change not. Did God change the Sabbath? You admit that Constantine changed the Sabbath or thinks he did because so many people follow his supposed change.

    Acts 5:29 in my bible says we ought to obey God rather than man, this includes Constantine, kings, presidents, emperors, popes, etc.

    God who is omniscient, gave the days numbers which are constant. Sabbath is the seventh day in over 100 languages.

    No wonder the world is in mass confusion. A four year old can count from one to seven. Its not rocket science. Look at your standard every day calendar, Start with the first day count seven.

    My prayer is that we all come to unity on God's word, Not on my or your opinion.

    I am praying that all will believe the wisest mind in the universe GOD, JESUS Christ, THE HOLY GHOST.

    Will be praying for you all.

    Of the "leaven"; Gal. 5:9 = Scriptures always typify leaven as sin and evil, and all that GOD hates and forbids (cp. Exo. 34:25).

    A "little" leaven will spread throughout the substance until it pollutes the whole. This principle is proven by the rule of "first mention" as recorded in Exodus 12:15 and 19 as GOD declared regarding the Passover Meal: "Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off {eliminated; destroyed; killed} from Israel."

    Leaven typifies ...

    + evil and forbidden religious traditions and practices which pervert the true Religion ( Lev. 2:11; Amos 4:5-5; Mt. 13:33; Lu. 13:21);

    + evil doctrinal errors which pervert the True Gospel ( Mt. 16:6-12; Gal. 5:9);

    + blatant sinful character ( Mk. 8:15);

    + hypocrisy (Lu. 12:1);

    + pride and boasting ( 1Cor. 5:6);

    + fornication and the fornicator ( 1Cor. 5:7); and

    + malice and wickedness ( 1Cor. 5:8).

    Brother Dan, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto to you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot and one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

    Your comment was: the heaven and the earth has not passed ...yet

    WHY HASN'T IT PASSED; natural eyes see what has always existed. When the new covenant CAME the old disappeared; BUT, you didn't naturally see it happen. You know because the WORD tells us.

    Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and first earth passed away....

    When Christ died and was resurrected by SPIRIT all things became NEW.

    2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST; he is a new creature (CREATION); old things have PASSED AWAY; behold all things have become NEW.

    Psalms 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to COME: and the people that shall BE CREATED shall PRAISE THE LORD.

    Psalms 102:26 They shall perish, but thou (the word) shall endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture thou (the word) shall change them. and THEY SHALL BE CHANGED.

    Hi Chris, my original intent was not to convince you but to see your reaction to the video . I have no right to convince anyone. That is between them and the Lord. I do not engage in long debates just simply try to present my case because I am fully convinced that the video is 100 percent true. Fully convinced because of other reasons in addition to what was stated in the video. However I can finish by stating a few things.

    1. When was the Sabbath created, when of course there was no Jewish nation. Created from the seventh day of creation,blessed and set apart forever. That is a simple fact supported by the bible.

    2. Will it still be kept in the new world to come, yes Isaiah 66.

    3. It is so important that it is the only commandment to start with the word Remember. Why is that ? Almost like the Lord knew we would forget.

    4. Why do we keep Sunday and why was it changed? Can,t you hear the answer in Daniel . " he shall think to change the time and law"

    5. Finally watch the world wide Sunday law coming in. If you can not see it coming you are not looking in the right direction.

    6. As a final note ....." any man who desires to do God's Will , shall know of the doctrine if it be of God or of man." Keep searching and have a desire for Truth and you will become clear on this subject. You must become clear because of the promise God made which I just stated.

  • NEW WINE and LIVING WATER - In Reply on Acts 2:18 - 5 years ago
    The New Wine is the Holy Spirit. There is no beverage on this Earth that can compare to what Jesus blesses His Children with.

    Testimony:

    I was at Church on a Tuesday night, in corporate intercessory prayer. There were about 70 people there. The Pastor taught a short sermonette. Then the Holy Spirit must've given him a Word of Knowledge.

    His whole demeanor changed: he said there are those of you that have promised things you cannot deliver, ever. There are those of you hurt by false hopes.

    We're all sitting in our seats in shock. That had to be most everybody there. Pastor said to come to the front to be prayed for.

    We're all looking around at each other to see who's going to get up first. Finally one guy stands up and almost runs to the front. I'm in line about 10 back.

    Pastor was just standing on stage. WELL... the Holy Spirit was standing 10 feet from the stairs.

    People were to go forward, have hands laid on, and go down the back stairs back to their seats. When I was a few feet up on the stage, me and everybody else went down in a heap.

    We were what is called, "SLAIN in the Spirit". I could not stand up. I tried. No one could. Then we began to laugh. We were being healed of false promises. It was like we were all drunk and couldn't stand up.

    I looked over the lights to see there were many people still sitting in the pews who DID NOT go to the front to be healed. I just thought Why would they not run to Jesus for healing, filling up on the Joy of the Holy Spirit? The Living Water.

    When you experience total healing and receive THE JOY (oil) of the Holy Spirit, you get drunk on the New Wine. God knows when we need a Fill Up. It was wonderful.

    There was a guy who went to my church who wrote a song about this. Listen on YouTube and get happy. The Well by Carman. Listen to 'Yahweh' and 'Sunday's on the Way', while you are there. 'I Got The Joy' if you're brave' :D

    He died a few months ago & is with Jesus now.

    Brother dan, may christ in us grace us with his wisdom and his understanding.

    1 corinthians 15:46 howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

    the old testament was a shadow (natural). the new testament is the true (spirit).

    the sabbath was a law that natural israel was required to keep. they couldn't; natural flesh cannot keep god's laws. since god is spirit; therefore, his laws are spirit. the new came so we can keep god's laws. we were crucified on christ cross with him. the life we now live we live by christ in us. christ is without sin. truth sets us free. the old testament sabbath was a day or rest. we being dead to the natural (flesh) can live every moment in christ (in rest, the true sabbath); he is doing all things for us. we can't keep the two commandments jesus gave us; he can. all of us have the throne of god and the cross of christ in us. if you are on the throne then you have christ back on the cross; but, if you are on the cross (dead), then christ is on the throne.

    i believe in keeping the sabbath; but not the old.

    ezekiel 36:27 ...and cause you to walk in my statutes...

    psalms 92:4 for thou, lord, hath made me glad through thy work: i will triumph in the works of thy hands.

    psalms 92:5 o lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

    psalms 92:6 a brutish (beast) man knoweth not; nor a fool understand this.

    Your post is such a blessing to wake up to. I hear the Holy Spirit singing, "What a Mighty God We Serve!"

    He is Mighty. He brings us out of Egypt (sin), and brings us through the deserts in our lives; to the Promised Land. We are His children. The enemies on the other side are nothing compared to Gods purpose to bless His children. That's what we sink our faith into. No matter the obstacles that get in our face, we know that we WIN. Even if we die on the trip over, we arise to meet Jesus; face to face. He is our Reward!

    The devil will Lie to us and say "it was just a too much pizza, dream you saw". Untrue. We know WHO it is we love and trust. Every day we wake up, and our feet hit the floor :D is a bad day for satan.

    We are aliens to this world. We look to a future day when we will meet The Lord our Savior. The Lover of our Souls. This world is not our home anymore. Let's spend our prayers and our time, being "fishers of men".

    Pharisees taught dry doctrine, without any love for the people they taught. It was a job. You go into the "office" every day, do your duty, and go home again. Did you catch any fish today?

    I love the Samaritan woman story. She heard all the words of Jesus... and burned up the road, to her town to shout out, "COME SEE A MAN who told me all the words of my life!!" The whole town turned out to go see the Man, and they saw salvation that day. We'll see them in heaven.

    Our earth is getting ready to meet the King of the Universe! It's not global warming. It is this earth groaning for God to restore it to what God intended in the first days of Eden. Only those who get their names in the Book of Life, will be residents in New Jerusalem.

    Let Us all quit listening to those fools on National TV, that think they (and every dollar we earn) can restore the earth; stop climate change.

    They don't read the Bible, or else they would know that GOD fully intends to DO IT. Study it for yourselves. Proclaim it.

  • S Spencer - In Reply on Nehemiah 8 - 5 years ago
    Hi dan.

    we will agree to disagree on that topic.

    i'm just trying to seek truth and stand for it.

    we should try to help one another to stay on track, i just thought you should take another look at that scripture.

    i hope you would do the same for me.

    christianity is not trying to win an argument.

    it's about christ and his work on the cross.

    and we are to shine light ""on him"" he's in the mist of the candle sticks. those lights should be fueled by oil, "holyspirit" this parallels with 2 cor. 3:3. fleshly tables of the heart,

    and

    hebrews 8:9-10. not according to the covenant that i made with their fathers in the day when i took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and i regarded them not, saith the lord.

    for this is the covenant that i will make with the house of israel after those days, saith the lord;

    i will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and i will be to them a god, and they shall be to me a people:

    the first covenant they were commanded to do.

    "and they couldn't"

    the second covenant they were commanded to be!! and they could through the power of the holyspirit. the laws of god written on their heart.

    the first covenant showed the flesh was weak.

    the second covenant shows it was victorious when christ was raised from the dead.

    we're baptized into his death.

    and his righteousness is imputed on to us. "that's positional sanctification, and it's a gift.

    our practical sanctification is in our walk. the spirit guides us to walk as he walked.

    again we're not under command to do,

    we're under command to be! ( be holy because i am holy ).

    the law is holy "but we're not", and keeping it couldn't make us perfect. it never changed the inner man.

    the new covenant did. righteousness is in the heart, and so is sin. the old covenant was an outwardly act without a repentant heart.

    god bless.

    It was an act of faith on noahs part ,if noah made the ark exactly to Gods specifications ,he would have noticed that he wouldnt be able to close the door from the inside for whatever reason ,for him not to be worried about this ,for him not to question Gods design of the ark ,shows an enormous amount of faith in God . We need to show our faith in God by accepting the life circumstances that He has put us in and not worrying too much about where He puts us ,trust in His love and care for us ,God thinks of EVERYTHING .

    Acts 2:13 says the disciples were mocked and suggests that they were drunk on new wine. Is new wine fermented, or is it still just fresh juice from grapes that would be drank in the early part of the day? If not fermented, were the disciples being mocked for their exuberance?

    Thank you for pointing out that Jesus summarized the commandments when questioned down to two of the most important things that we should do. Love God, and love others. So simple! I agree, and if we can be consistent in that, we will basically be living a good Christian life according to Jesus.

    Hi Glenn - just responding to you after watching that video. To Charles credit, his knowledge of the Word & of history and his charismatic vibrant manner was quite compelling to watch & I enjoyed what he presented.

    Even though his presentation was probably to a group already familiar with his teaching having received more of the background from his other messages, I was intently listening out for those basic elements (i.e. a systematic teaching) to support his position on the keeping of the Law & in particular the Sabbath Day. He came close to it by quoting Ezekiel 20:11-16, suggesting that observance of the Sabbath was a sign, so I became excited hoping for an explanation of how that sign given to Israel was then transposed onto the Gentiles, particularly the Church consisting of both Jew & Gentile. But was left bereft. And the other aspects of his message on the Antichrist, Rome's involvement, etc. were interesting but couldn't be substantiated since the groundwork wasn't dealt with.

    So if I had already come with the same understanding as him on this matter, I would have left satisfied & confirmed in my belief. But since I came seeking Scriptures & appropriate exegesis on how that which was given specifically to Israel & none other, came to be conferred upon Gentiles, I received none. Of course, he would have needed to address the specifics of the Covenants & somehow show from Scripture that what was given before did apply post-Cross. And that would have taken some working through & probably outside the parameter of that message.

    So Glenn, thank you for that - I did enjoy listening to Charles, but didn't find my question answered there. Maybe you know of another video that will deal with that fundamental aspect that seems to form a clear division amongst believers. Blessings.

    I will cut away that which covers the sin. The heart that only wishes to deceive! The heart deceitful from its youth! How we neglect the inside and make the outside perfect! Are not these the words of our Christ? This heart that will not be faithful in little, how can it be faithful in much! Sin, is the infection that besets us. How can you keep the law? By breaking it? This one , whom you have rejected ,has become the head of the corner! "Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder." The grinding will take time, but when it is finished it will be complete! If you do not belong to him, you need not worry, for your destination is confirmed! Repent and be baptized!

    That was a timely word & testimony Mishael - thank you for reminding us again that the Holy Spirit still gives God's children gifts as you have received & shared & with an added blessing of interpretation of that tongue of praise. It should come as a reminder to us not to discount what the Spirit can do in us & through us, & to be very careful not to condemn His Gifts lest we be found to blaspheme Him ( Mark 3:28-30).
