Can you explain the water and blood in verse 6? Is this a reference to the physical birth of Jesus the Christ?

The White horse is the LAW Moses if you will, the only one in scripture riding a white horse is God, Ref-Rev-19-21.. The red horse is Christ, the rep- of the blood that flowed , That sword is the Word of God ( the word of God is a sharp two edged sword--- ) Jesus said think not that I have come to bring piece, but a sword and a mans enemy's will be them of his own household..

I don't believe there's any Scripture to say this. We can observe from Jewish practise that they didn't resort to cremation of the dead, rather entombment, of if wealthy & had land, the body placed in a sepulchre, suitably embalmed & bound in 'grave clothes'. I would think that the early Christians followed this practise as well, as it was well known that those who generally cremated their dead were not of godly heritage.

For the Christian now, the choice is generally based on cost & the wishes of the departed. I don't see anything to preclude a Christian from cremating their dead, as God is well able to raise them to life in whatever form they are in now. My personal wish is for a burial when my time comes, in line with the practises of old, but of course, I would have little interest in this once departed.

The Holy Ghost, being God's Spirit, is given by God to all who are His children. And here I'm talking about those who truly belong to Him - not just Church-goers, doing all the right things to please God, or even coming God's Way but actually still in love with the World.

Just to state who this true Christian is: he/she is one who has become convicted of his sins & realizes that his efforts can't save him - only God can through the death & resurrection of His Son. When the sinner repents (which is done under the influence & presence of the Holy Spirit), that sinner is forgiven based on what Jesus has done on his behalf. That is, Christ's taking your sin's & crucifying them on the Cross meant that He took your place in death, so that you won't remain spiritually dead in sins, but made spiritually alive in Christ & also acceptable to God. So we say that the sinner, once condemned for his sins, is now forgiven, redeemed & made a new person through this Work of God, i.e. he is born again in his spirit.

So, if one is born again by God, he is in the family of God, with the many others who have come the same way: through the Cross. If then in God's family, God sets His Seal in him, marking Him as one of His children. And that seal is that of the Holy Spirit who lives within the child of God, marking him as one & also receiving the full ministry of God to him: of teaching, comfort, strengthening, conviction of any sin, wisdom & power to live correctly, & many more. The Spirit never leaves, even as Jesus has promised, which means that even though we might fail God at times, we will always repent & be restored - that's God's Promise. The 'Christian' who turns back & rejects God, is one that has not come to salvation God's Way, but his own way.

If someone seeks this mighty presence of God in his life by coming any other way, then he will be disappointed: his sins remain, his life will be the unchanged & he will appear as a religious person but without God.

In every Bible-based, Bible-believing congregation, the 'leader of the Church' (also, called an Elder or Pastor) should have elders & deacons to assist in the teaching, direction, & management of the flock. So in Acts 20:28, Paul called for the Ephesians elders & gave them this instruction: "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."

The Pastor & the eldership have the responsibility & endorsement by God to teach & shepherd His flock, ruling well & directing the Church according to the Scriptures & in a society that opposes Christ. In the early Church, believers were heavily dependent on their leadership for proper spiritual guidance as they had little else by way of the full counsel of God & spiritual maturity to discern correct or incorrect teaching. Therefore, the apostles had to often 're-teach' or warn the believers of wrong teaching & to beware of the 'wolves' lurking in the Church to destroy her.

Today, we have the full revealed Word in our hands & the Spirit to help us understand & apply its Truths. If the Pastor or speaker has said something that seems incorrect, or in your case, a questionable decision he has made, then I believe it is the right & responsibility of the Christian to enquire further about it. If it's a question of something spoken from the Word, one can approach the speaker (as a couple have even asked me to further expand a point that I may have glossed over). If it's to do with a Church matter (its organization, its direction, its ministry, etc.), then doubtless the elders would've come together to discuss & pray over the matter & the Church informed so the matter is fully aired. If there is an individual dispute over it, then it would be correct, in all humility & knowing the Pastor's position & responsibility, to seek further light on it from him or the elders. One shouldn't be chastised for it.

Why do preachers persist in telling Gentile Congregations that everything that Jesus taught and said while He was on earth was directed to them? It clearly was not because He was talking to Jews under the law the whole time. No Gentile was allowed in to a synagogue. He was talking to Jews when he gave the Disciples the great commission. He told the disciples Matt.10:5-6, not to go to the Gentiles. They were also called dogs by him as well as all Jews, (Ref. the caananite woman who asked for help). People are going to Hell because they are not being told the truth. The Apostle Paul called by Jesus. Plainly stated, that Gospel we are saved by is the one in 1Cor. 15:1-4 and stated in Galatians Ch. 1, that anybody that preached any other, Let him be accursed and that he got it by revelation from Jesus Himself. Jesus never preached any gospel but the Gospel of the Kingdom. He could not, because He had not been crucified yet. I know a lot of what He said was for our learning as Paul said, but He came here to fulfill the covenant promises , to be the King of the Jews AND to turn them into a nation of priests, who would then take salvation to the Gentiles. This failed because of the unbelief of his own people. Paul also stated in the bible that we, Jew and Gentile, would be judged by the righteous judge, according to his gospel, which was the Gospel of Grace ( 1Cor. 15:1-4). Why aren't people being told that? Again, people are filling pews every Sunday, thinking they are saved and are going to hell because they have not been told the truth. This is ALL in the book and preachers are not preaching it... WHY??? Don't tell me that the Apostle Paul has no standing because He was called by Jesus himself and wrote half the New Testament AFTER he spent three years in Arabia probably on Mount Sinai, getting a three year Revelation from Jesus, the same as the Disciples got from Him in person when He preached the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Just to add to Steven's suggestion: the Site, 'Answers in Genesis' is also quite informative & even has a section for children dealing with this creation/evolution conundrum that they might be facing. With children, they generally readily accept teaching given to them & possibly asking questions later. However, if you're dealing with adults, then any argument 'for or against' will come down to its common denominator: if everything created by definition requires a creator, then who created God? Conversely, those who are proponents of the 'Big Bang' that brought into being the worlds & eventually living creatures/species, have to also support how any chemical, seismic, physical activity can occur without there already substance to cause that to happen - hence, the need for a creator of that 'substance'.

Man can only look at the evidence before him & use his knowledge (& imagination) working backwards to support his belief of an evolutionary process for the animate & inanimate worlds. Believers in God's Word begin from the first declaration (by God), & then work forwards finding that what we see & know now, fully supports Who God is & what He has done. But if the discussion is purely on the evolution of man from primate to homo sapien, then you will need to go deeper into the biological & spiritual dimensions as well as the possibility/impossibility of creating something of a different species from an established one. That would require much more scientific investigation.

A couple of Scriptures I would use to support this type of relationship, is 2 Corinthians 6:14: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" and 1 Corinthians 7:39:"The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord." Allow me to explain this further:

The first Scripture relates to any type of binding union, whether in marriage or in business, that such a strong union with unbelievers is inviting trouble, as some aspects of that union will go against the teachings from the Bible & of course, will cause a struggle in spirit as to whether to give in or challenge the other person or even break off the contract.

The second Scripture actually speaks of a marriage when the husband dies (& this would apply the other way if the wife dies). Once the spouse has died, the other one is considered as single & eligible to re-marry if he/she so wishes. But if they do re-marry, then their spouse should be one who is also a believer in Christ, & preferably believing in the same doctrines/teachings from the Bible. Many marriages have become strained or gone sour because of major differences in this matter & in the raising up of children.

You're still 15 yrs old, so don't be a great hurry to form such lasting bonds. Meet with other young Christians in your youth group & use that time not only to grow closer to the Lord, but to seek out friends that you can be close to & share more intimately with. When you get older, sorted out your education, job, & having the maturity to take on responsibilities that come with marriage, then pray to the Lord for the right young man who truly loves the Lord, putting Him first in everything & has a quiet, gentle spirit who will give you the love, honour & respect that you deserve.

Hello, the way I understand the Godhead and the 3 in 1, comes from a different angle. Remember we are crafter like Him let's look at Gods Body:(I understand He's Omni-all)

Here we see it says the fullness of what makes up God the Creator dwelled in the Lord Jesus Christ- Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Isa9:6 is very telling, look at all the names of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor (Holy Ghost), The mighty God, The everlasting Father (Also the Father), The Prince of Peace.

We see from scripture, unless I missed a spot but there is only 1 image of God, The Lord Jesus Christ

Col 1:15, 2cor 4:4

We humans are made in his Image AND Likeness.

What does this mean? Image-Body/Spirit Likeness-Character, Emotions, The soul.

It even says we have the 3 and they are 1 yet we are not 3 people.

Even the Lord Jesus Himself tells you unless He Himself is Being praised, Not the Father, nor the Spirit but HIM they are false look at what Joh 16:13,14 says about the Spirit of Truth.

The 'firmament' in Genesis 1:6-8 is shown in the Hebrew as 'raqia', which means 'an extended surface or an expanse'. In context with Genesis, the LORD God took the large body of water on the formless Earth, & separated the water by providing a firmament (& this is called heaven, or sky, verse 8). So one part of this body of water was on Earth (from which we get our oceans, seas, rivers, etc., verse 9) & the other body of water was above the firmament. Now, we're not told what happened to that water above or in the sky, as we're told about the water on Earth. Whether that water dissipated & formed clouds bearing the water, or something else, we're not told specifically.

Hi Barbara, didn't know if you got a clear clear answer from your question, here is some verses that might help. 2nd Corinthians 5:6-8. and Philippians 1:20-23. The spirit which is you, goes to be with the Lord and the body which Paul calls a earthly house/ tabernacle. meaning a tent, " temporary dwelling place" goes to the grave. Also read 1st Thessalonians 4:13-17. hope that helps.
