I believe the Holy Spirit moved upon Mary and she conceived Jesus , God in flesh in perfect union . So that makes Jesus the Son of God come in the flesh to save the world . I would not add more to who Jesus is , this explains everything to me .

No one ever was born like this but Jesus . Mary was Holy or this never would have taken place . Jesus proved He was of God but the way he lived and did things by God as well , Jesus always gave credit to his father . The Lord God of all even himself .

I believe you are correct. After more praying, I see that staff is exactly that, a staff. The confusion I had with Matthew wasn't there with Mark and certainly not in Hebrews or elsewhere used in the old testament. No allegory at all, crystal clear as a staff is a stick. Matthews verse threw me because it said " nor yet" before staff. But 'yet' is likened to 'though' same as 'save' in Marks verse is likened to 'though or only or but'. So as you said it is what is stated. Thank you for your response. Peace.

I am growing in Christ. A sister is counseling me. I am receiving Bible study on a weekly basis along with Sunday service now. Thank God! I no longer run the street!

My understanding on this matter is that, according to Matthew 1:20, "for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost", the seed or embryo placed in Mary's womb was entirely of the Lord. That is, the Word of God was sent in seed form to be placed in a human so that the child to be born was fully from God, as God, being born into the world in fleshly form. I don't believe that Mary contributed anything to the Holy Seed but was used by God to be the means for His Son to come into the world, in fulfilment of His Plan & the prophecies made about Him.

So when Jesus faced Satan at that time of rigorous temptation ( Matthew 4:1-11), it was Satan's goal to cause the sin nature to come into Jesus by Jesus succumbing to him, as Jesus wasn't born with such a nature. Unlike Jesus, we are the products of human seed (not Divine seed) fusing & developing, thereby we have no choice other than inheriting the sin nature of our parents. So when we are tempted to sin, Satan already has a prepared fertile ground on which to make his appeal, & so we give in easily. But with Jesus, Satan had to try desperately to cause a sin nature to develop in Him, thereby rendering His coming & being a worthy Sacrifice, a total failure, leaving mankind wallowing in his sin & eventual judgement by God for it.

Praise be to God that Jesus resisted Satan's thrusts, proving His Divine Power over evil & being the one & only acceptable & worthy Sacrifice for our sins. What we could never do, Christ fully did for us. So the seed from which we came into the World was already clothed with a sin nature, yet when we are born again, our spirits are made new by the Spirit of God so that it cannot sin ( 1 John 3:9). What then causes us to fall again & again? Well, we're still in that body of flesh (from the original seed) so the battle against sin rages, until the redemption of the body ( Romans 8:23) into a complete change into purity & sinlessness.

Genesis 9:11 tells us that God promises to not use a flood to destroy the Earth & its inhabitants ever again as He did in Noah's days. Rather, it will be by fire ( 1 Peter 3:5-7). What we're seeing as destruction & loss of lives by fires, floods & earthquakes, are normal phenomena that have been occurring throughout history. However, it appears that their appearance now seem to come with greater frequency & force, to which one can conclude will eventually usher in the full extent of God's Anger (the Great Tribulation) that will be poured out upon the God-forsaking, Christ-rejecting World.

I'm afraid that I would have to leave you to search for & consider the 'other' meanings of 'staff & stave' & find answers, as I can only read these passages as given - as instructions to the disciples on what they should take with them in their ministry.

In Matthew chapter 10 verse 9, they were told to not to carry 'cash', rather to trust God to meet their daily needs. In verse 10, they should not be burdened with extra baggage, but to go just as they were & to trust God when their sandals wore out or another need arose. The word 'staves' are used elsewhere in the Gospels along with 'swords'. When those people approached Jesus to arrest him, some came with swords & others 'staves', or sticks. It could be that whether some of the disciples used 'staves' as for support/help in their journeyings or to fend off undesirables, Jesus is saying that these things were unimportant, rather the urgent ministry to the "lost sheep of the house of Israel".

Sorry that I can't help you with your enquiry - I don't go in much for allegorizing, unless indicated in the Scriptures. I generally understand the Scriptures as given unless there is a spiritual meaning intended (as in the parables) or veiled in abstract forms (as in the Book of Revelation).

The history in the old testament was lived in the natural, but is also symbolic of what will be lived out in the spiritual. Adam (natural) was also symbolic of Christ (now in the Spirit which is the Holy Ghost) Adam was put into a deep sleep (natural, but symbolic of Christ death) Eve (natural, but symbolic of the church, Christ bride).

Abraham (natural, but symbolic of our spiritual Father) offered Isaac (natural, but symbolic of Christ our spiritual brother) as a sacrifice.

The old testament is our examples and symbols (shadows) of future events.

Babylon (natural and still existing today is also symbolic of the condition of mankind). It's this sinful condition that will no longer exist when the spiritual work of the Holy Ghost is complete.

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he (Christ the Holy Ghost) shall have delivered up the kingdom of God, even the Father; when he (holy Ghost) shall put down ALL rule and ALL authority and power,
