Mikell, the matter of predestination is in the realm of God's Plan & Prerogative for each one of us. When God tells us that we are sinners & that the only way back into a right relationship with Him is through faith in the finished work of Christ at the Cross, then surely that requires a response from us.

Jesus is God's Gift of salvation to every one, every sinner - we need to respond to receive it. You must have believed the Gospel at some point: isn't that belief then classified as a 'work'? Or maybe, you have not believed, & feel that since you have been predestined & regardless of any response to God, you would just drift towards eternity based on being predestined.

I think you may be confusing someone's 'works' towards gaining salvation as opposed to a repentant sinner responding with conviction to a Merciful God & a response of love, accepting & believing in the Son of God. I think responding to God is the correct natural thing to do, just as you would respond to someone giving you a gift. Or would you?

Hi Richard. Thank you for what you've shared. The point I'm making is that the believer in Christ has to get away from resorting to the Ten Commandments: they're part of the Law given to Israel & served only to show them how to live & how far short they fell from obeying them. This ought to have compelled them to not rely on that yearly sacrifice for sins with all the other sacrifices, the Scape Goat & many feasts & ceremonies, but to look beyond to the time when God would offer His Own Sacrifice, once & for all, that could only satisfy God & be the means of a final perfect redemption for mankind. What Israel performed back then was a picture of what would come in the future. They should have heeded the prophetical writings directing them to a future Human Sacrifice that would fully deal with their sins rather than looking for a nation-conquering Messiah. So the Son of God, the Sacrifice of God came, but they rejected Him putting Him to death as He failed (in their reckoning) to give them victory over Rome. Yet He brought them much needed spiritual victory which they rejected.

The Ten Commandments were never intended to be a list to be ticked through in the margin. To do that could make us, or a new believer, smug & satisfied that we are in right standing with God. Didn't the rich young ruler also believe that he had 'made it'? ( Mark 10:17-22). Jesus virtually told him that he failed in the very first commandment. The Law was a revelation of God's Standard for His people & to alert them to their incapability to wholly maintain that Standard. Where does that leave us now if we still resort to it when our Saviour has fulfilled all its demands, nailing it to the Cross, thereby giving all those who come in faith in the shed Blood, forgiveness & liberty only through Him? Do we not do despite to His Love & His Gift, to cleave to that which only revealed the sin in us thus giving us separation from God & eternal death?

Jackie, absolutely correct, revealed by the working of the Holy Spirit within you. By the working of the Holy Spirit, lets take two verses you quoted and be led into deeper truths. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin (singular) of the world. This one sin that keeps man separated from God. John 14:29 And now I (Jesus) have told you before it came to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sin (unbelief) of the world. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted (tried) like as we are, yet without sin (unbelief). I John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin (live in unbelief); for his (Christ) seed is in him: and he cannot sin (live in unbelief); because he is born of God.

    Page 2.

The Law was given for a time & purpose - Jesus, by His coming & sacrifice, concluded (fulfilled) that 'time & purpose' thereby relieving us (read: Jews) from the bindings of the Law which only brought death. He said: "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Jn 10:10b. Surely this abundant life includes both the release from the burden of guilt & sin and also the bindings & burdens of the Law which proved that sin & only brought death.

And lest you feel that my belief & stance is antinomian, please don't, as we haven't yet come to the discussion on Romans 8:2. And this I see as the key verse, along with much of Paul's writings on the weakness & finality of the Law in view of Christ's worth; and this has a direct bearing on believers who need to be released from the "weakness" of the Law to the "Power" of the Law that comes from & through the Holy Spirit. I would look forward to this discussion, if you wish to proceed. The Lord be with you (& us) in our meditations on our Saviour's great Sacrifice & spiritual freedom we can enjoy in Him.

Bro. Dan. I don't think that we're making much headway with this discussion. Looking at Matthew 5:17-19 (as you quoted): Indeed, Jesus came to fulfil the Law & the Prophets, that which was given to Israel & the prophecies about Himself. And true, "Heaven & Earth haven't passed away as yet". Yet, we continue to dwell on something that has already happened: that Jesus came in fulfilment of the prophecies & that He, and He alone, had fulfilled the very minutiae of the Law. So, in my understanding, the Law which was given by God for Israel's spiritual & societal well-being could not be kept fully by them but only showed them their constant, perpetual need for repentance & sacrifice. Jesus came of course, to give His Life for them (& us) as the only true & effective Sacrifice, and also to speak about Kingdom Life & what the full true meaning of God's Laws were, in comparison to what they performed or what the religious leaders taught. We see some of this from verse 20 onwards & elsewhere in His discourses.

So, if the Law was still current in the time of Christ (as it was indeed), at what time would it then be "fulfilled"? The Greek for this is: Genetai, meaning: 'happen or accomplished'. Did the given Law & Prophetical writings about Jesus find their finality at the appearing of Christ, or, as you may be suggesting, that there is yet a future time when (i.e. at the passing away of Heaven & Earth) the validity & requirements of the Law would eventually conclude? It is my belief that Jesus used that as an expression to signify the importance of the Law & its perpetual purity: this cannot change. But what changes is that by the coming of Jesus at the appointed time, He also brought about the fulfilment of that Law (in Himself - by Himself), so that mankind (Jew & Gentile) should have no more recourse to the Law (that only brought knowledge of sin & death - not life), but resorting to the Fulfiller of that Law & our cleaving to Him in love & obedience.

Ricky, the whole 19th chapter of Revelation describes the marriage supper of the lamb, which all the children of the resurrection have their part therein (study it, it is not as simple as one thinks). When their (the children of the resurrection) physical bodies die they are birthed (delivered) into the presents of Christ. Revelation 20 describes the ones that were not raised in the first resurrection. Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead ( those that died in their trespasses lived not again until the thousand years ( II Peter 3:9 ......a thousand years as one day, the day of the Lord) was finished. This is the first resurrection. Revelation 20:1 And I (John) saw an angel [(of the Lord, Jesus) come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit (death and the grave: Revelation 1:18 I am he (Jesus) that liveth, and was dead; and behold I (Jesus) am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell (grave) and of death (the wages or sin is death)] and a great chain in his (Jesus) hand. And he (Jesus) laid hold on that old serpent (those that died in their trespasses, the children of your father the devil),which is the devil, and Satan, and bound (in the grave) him ( those that died in their trespasses) a thousand year ( a thousand years as one day, the day of the Lord). (vs) 7 And when the thousand years (the day of the Lord) are expired, Satan (children of) shall be loosed out of prison (the grave). Revelation 20:4 And I (John) saw thrones ( Revelation 3:21 To him (children of the resurrection) that overcometh will I (Jesus) grant to sit with me (Jesus) in my throne, even as I (Jesus) overcame, and am sit down with my Father in his throne..... and they (children of the resurrection) lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years (a thousand years as one day, day of the Lord).

Jeremy, most, if not all, of Revelation contains symbols that has spiritual truths that can only be discerned by the workings of the Spirit within you. Throughout the Word of God, as you study, the Spirit will reveal the key to the symbols. An example would be: Psalms 89:36 His (Christ) seed (whose seed we are) shall endure for ever, and his (Christ) throne as the sun before me (the Father). (vs) 37 It (Christ throne) shall be established forever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven (us, spiritual heaven, our minds [foreheads]). Selah. These verses give insight to other verses such as; Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven (us, our mind [forehead]) a woman ( Galatians 4:26 new Jerusalem, the mother of us all, in travail, waiting to give birth) clothed with the sun (Christ), and the moon (Christ) under her (us, the woman) feet..... Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ (sun and moon), who (Christ) is the faithful witness..... Joel 2:31 And the sun (Christ the light of the world) shall be turned in to darkness (death), and the moon (Christ) into blood (a spear was thrust into the side of Christ and out came water and blood) before the great and terrible (wonderful) day of the Lord come (Pentecost, the outpouring of the Spirit on mankind).

    To FRED SCANLAN

We invested 20K in self-publishing the book 'A World Deceived' in 2005, and have invested our personal money into the website for 15 years, including the website administrator. The first two distributors of the book went bankrupt and there has been no distribution since 2008. We have no Tax-Free status with Revenue Canada.

It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe ( 2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

With great swelling words you speak about 'love' but the latest comments you posted just confirmed that your comments were based on religious and man-made doctrines ( Matthew 15:9) and that you have not the love of God in you ( John 5:42). For that reason our message remains the same: Ye must repent.

It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9) and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), as mankind follows after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9).

It is only by revelation of God that people will come to know the true Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1)

Judy May, we don't know exactly what ministry you are referring to. Can you specify?

As for the rest of these comments, I will take each of D.J.'s answers in stride as I can see this person is upset and making this comment thread a spectacle. Though I do believe my first comment should suffice, (especially if the references were checked) perhaps some of the words I used need to be defined for a better understanding. Reading Paul's letters to Timothy, Titus, the Corinthians, and Ephesians; Peter's epistle, and Proverbs and you will get a good idea of the New Testament church's views on female leadership.

D.J. do you know what God has in store for Judy May? No, as she has yet to give any information concerning the specific ministry. Hence the reason why I am offering the basic information to make a decision. Ministry= service or aid. Is not specific to one particular "job."

Am I confident in the understanding God has given of the word? Yes. Am I judging Judy May? No. Jude= distinguish truth from falsehood.

Nothing I said was a judgment, as you can clearly see.

Deborah, who was set in her office (Judge) because "all the men did what was right in their own eyes" was put in that position because no other man in the land was capable. Furthermore, Jews and Christians are dealt with differently. This concept, for lack of space, can be summed up with, God's methods of dealing with His people change in the dispensations. More on that another time.

Today prophesy= to speak. Yes one who prophesies can teach. As said before the Bible has restrictions on whom a woman may have dominion over when teaching: doctrine, 1 Tim. 2:12; authority in church, Titus 1:5-9; 1 Tim 3:1-7. It is a shame for woman to be a PREACHER in church, 1 Cor 14:35. A "prophet[ess]" (seer) is an OT/Jewish concept.

    Your cherry picked verses:

Acts 2:17, end time prophecy. Acts 21:8-9, good for them. Luke 2:36, read the verse and above sentence. 1 Cor 11:5 read the epistles and you'll understand.

lComments by Alex about water baptism I behold water baptism it was of God,But without the shedding of blood there was no remission of sins even in the O.T. without the shedding of blood there was no remission. John says i have need to be baptised of you which was H.G. baptism. Jesus told his disciples John washed you with water but i will baptise you with the H.G. AND FIRE, a heavenly washing of the heart. That new heart and new spirit. Thats y John was preaching behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world which was indicative of the blood. The cross was indicative of the blood of GODS LAMB. Nothin can be added to it Absolutly nothing. Not even water baptism, without making the blood of the lamb an offence to God. It was the ultimate washing ( holy ghost baptism ) Thats y God rebuked Peter saying what i have made clean do not call common or unclean, peter was impling the blood was insufficient a slap in the face of God when he was commanding water baptism. Thats y the lord was so upset with Peter all the UNCLEAN ANIMALS in the sheet was the church, Humanity that was made clean by the blood of the lamb not water baptism that peter was commanding,God was upset with Peter commanding water baptism after out lord had died to make us clean,As Paul said water baptism wd make the blood of no effect,Its like saying the cross was insufficient a slap in the face of God. After Peter understood the vision he says then remembered i the words of our LORD John baptised you with water but i will baptise you with the H.G AND FIRE, Who was i to withstand God. Paul knew that water baptism wd make the blood of the Lamb of no effect. Thats y he said i thank God that i baptised none of you,Paul feared of making the blood of the lamb of no effect. Peter didn't realize the enormity of the CROSS THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.All the unclean animals in that sheet was humanity th world that was made Clean by the blood not water gbu.

There is indeed movement to disregard Christ, leaving Him outside of the deity. Teaching a faith in a spirit that we create . A spirit created through our own works, a psychologically self willed goodness. Instead of reaching into the souls of mankind, they reach deep within mans pockets instead, only once again to sell another book! The Lord of course, prefers us to worship Him , and not concentrate on those things that do not bring Him glory, the same glory that is found in the love of Christ! The love that surpasses all understanding and can only be found in Him ,the Savior of the world. When we learn to love one another ,we only begin to touch the surface of the power of the Holy Ghost. We then, would become more concerned for the welfare of others ,instead of ourselves,"that doctrine of self , they preach. You need to feel good about yourself? You need to rise above!" If you need to live according to the law, here is a good one! The first commandment. "Thou shalt love the Lord with all your soul ,all your heart, everything that is in you". Remember, that when you fail to do this one thing, We have an advocate , that continues to bind us with God the Father, found in the shed blood of Christ!

Hello Chris. I very much enjoy reading yours posts and agree. Jesus Christ truly is the only way. I was just conversing with a man the other night on this matter. As he seemed content we need to follow not just the Ten Commandments but all of the 613 Jewish laws. I posted, as brother Dan did, Matthew 22:36-40. Brother Dan you have Matthew 23 but you quoted the passages, from 22, perfectly. Just to note. As Jesus stated "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Which I believe are the most important things we should be focusing on which is Love. Of God, Christ, and one another. I also posted this passage: Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." This being written by Paul that of the fruit from the Holy Spirit, we receive, and flourish in, against such there is no law.

I also stated knowing the Ten Commandments by heart. It seems, after being saved by the Lord, that all these things are no longer a burden at all to follow. It seems to comes naturally from a power not of my own. All of the 613 Jewish laws? Now there is a problem. As it says people should be stoned to death and burned at the stake. Along with many other things I know the Lord does not condone.

Hopefully, my brothers, we can all just help one another through these peaceful conversations. We all need Jesus Christ as no one cometh unto the Father but by Him. John 14:6. God Bless

The righteous cry. Like Israel in Egypt, they cry out under the heavy yoke of oppression, both of sin, temptation, care, and grief. And the Lord heareth; he is like the night watchman, who no sooner hears the alarm bell than he flies to relieve those who need him. And delivereth them out of all their troubles. No net of trouble can so hold us that the Lord cannot free us. Our afflictions may be numerous and complicated, but prayer can set us free from them all, for the Lord will show himself strong on our behalf.

    Brother Chris,

You are stating that Jesus did not speak about the cancelation of the Law because of his upcoming death and resurrection.

Yes he did speak about the Law, and Jesus knew that he was going to die for our sins and complete the plan and work of God, but he did not cancel the Law. On the contrary, he reinforced the law as stated by Christ below.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven

Jesus says "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." To me, this is the key that Jesus wants us to live according to God's law 10 Commandments. Until heaven and earth pass......this has not happened Yet, and until it happens the Law remains.....as stated by Jesus.

I believe that the Law/Ten Commandments provides us with the roadmap to live a good life here on earth, while also preparing us for God's great plan for us in the second life which will be for eternity.

Christ died on the cross for the worlds sins. His death provides the ransom for our sins. He became the new and only mediator between God and each of us. This is the "Good News".

When we live according to God's plan for us and we fall short/sin, (as each of us will) we now have Jesus Christ to confide in, and through Jesus Christ we can now receive forgiveness of our sins from God.

    Good Bless.

Comments by Alex about Jesus saying he came to fulfill the law.Sin is the trangression of the law. But b/c of his death we will be bornagain of an incorriptible seed, even by the word of God,When a seed dies it multiplies thus b/c of his death he will be multiplied as the stars of heaven. Everybody is gonna get a seed, everybody is gona get a measure of faith. Resulting in Birth and them that ARE BORN OF GOD CANNOT SIN, THATS HOW HE WILL FULFILL THE LAW BY HIS SEED THAT IS GONNA REMAIN IN US BRINGING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD which is Christ in us, His seed is gona result in a birth of Christ in US, making it impossible to sin thus fulfilling the LAW.Sin is the trangression of the law, But if we cannot sin then the law is fulfilled. Thats what he is talking bout when he said he came to fulfill the Law. Its simply about Christ in us making it impossible to sin from our hearts.
