As Christians we study the Bible as our guide, and listen to the Holy Spirit. But my friend a lot of follow Christians miss out on a great thing you know the Lord loves us so much but he also wants a special relationship with us I encourage you to just take that time ,and talk to him open your heart ,and him tell how much you love him. Might I also add, the communist regime was/is by far the most ruthless and vile means of government. If people thought Auschwitz was bad, why not take a look at the hundreds of millions massacred by the Reds before a WWII and after. Lets look at the death toll Islam is racking up. Afrikan tribes hacking people up with machetes. No, this current dilemma we are in with international riots and a pandemic of flu-like proportions, is not apocalyptic. It is merely a more obvious evil than what we are used to. Yes, the end is ever more near and what is happening is as the days of Noah. Unfortunately what we see is just a conglomerate of what has always been there.

Jeremy, I suppose that would depend on one's perspective & world view. For those who have had a fairly comfortable, free & peaceful life (particularly those born post WWII), might think that this ongoing pandemic, collapsing businesses & economies, various weather upheavals & wars & skirmishes in some parts of the world, equate to some degree of apocalyptic phenomena.

For those who have been through the world wars, those Jews who lived through or survived Auschwitz or the starving suffering families under despotic governments in third world nations of past generations, might have believed the end of the world was nigh for them.

However, if we can grasp some of the descriptions of the coming days of suffering & torment in Revelation chapter 6 onwards, I think what we're experiencing now (& what those of yesteryear encountered) are but a foretaste of the horrors to be poured out upon this God-forsaking, Christ-rejecting world. It will be a time of God's Anger that hasn't been seen since His destruction of the Earth by flood. Yes, I agree with you, things are looking quite bad for humanity, but even through the present mild sufferings, we can only trust that the hearts of men are being torn open to look to their Creator for salvation & hope and to see the fickleness of this life & its vain offerings that are of no eternal value. The Lord has His Way of alerting man to his real need & once again fall to his knees to cry to Him.

In life there are people that will hate on us, and will oppose us no matter what. But it says on verse 14 : "Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.".. And to only put our trust in the Lord, while we continue to do our work on what is needed to be done. Amen. Let anyone who oppose us fall... We trust you oh Lord.. verse 4: "Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:"

As mentioned before, "such & such" meant that 'anything that David could have desired'. It's understood that even for David, God would only give him 'such things' that were needed for David's reign or for his blessing & spiritual prosperity. Now in the example of David's sins, David saw Bathsheba bathing & desired her. He took it upon himself to engineer wicked events so as to acquire her. What God is saying to him is that "if you ask Me then I will provide you that which is right & proper".

So I see that the same principle can be applied to believers today. We have the same God Who wants to shower us with His blessings to the end that our lives will be enriched & He would get the Glory. Yet, too often we ask irresponsibly & with the wrong motives & we don't receive. "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." Js 4:3.

Or, sometimes we may ask not knowing the Will of God: "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." 1 Jn 5:14,15.

This is why, whenever we ask of God, we must really examine our motives, the request we make, our faith, the Will of God & the Purposes of God. If we find that we don't receive our request, then it isn't that God hasn't heard us, but we have asked ignorantly (i.e. that which is not permitted by Him for that time). Maybe we have prayed earnestly for someone & not for our own needs. We may have got despondent because that loved one hasn't recovered or has died & we believe God didn't answer my prayer. Yet we don't know His Plans & His Will for that person & for us; He wants us to lovingly trust Him for the outcome - His Answer. And yes, we need to be in His Will, in the Spirit, & to honour Him with our request, so that His Answer, whatever it may be, will always be acceptable to us.

Hello! I have a reoccurring question, do we repent of our sins to be saved or repent because we are saved? I know in the book of Corinthians Paul talks about how the adulterous, fornicators, etc will not inherit the kingdom, thank you and God bless!

To add to my comment, I hope the previous comment was clearly understood for that specific section of scripture referenced. However if you were trying to study David's decisions that looked 'cowardice' or atleast appearance of.

who did God take to heaven without dying?

It's like a conversation I had with my mother 6 months before she died. She never read her Bible. I just asked her one day, "aren't you even curious about your Savior you are going to be living with forever? And the wonders of heaven where you'll be living?

Next day I see her at the table reading her Bible. Read it for over an hour. Became a part of her routine. She asked questions about when she'd see her parents and others who had died. If tell her about what Jesus likes. They need our participation to get them started. I read Psalms to her.

Bible reading & Church attendance are not criteria for entrance to Heaven: only your faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross as your sin bearer & the Recipient of the penalty you (and I) rightly deserved. And through your acknowledgement of this & subsequent repentance of sins, the Spirit of God enters your life to give you a re-birth experience & a holiness & acceptability to God.

In my understanding, after such an experience & encounter with a Holy, Merciful God, it behoves us to want to know Him and love Him more. And the chief ways of doing so is by attending to His Word, fellowship with the saints, & enjoying prayerful intimacy with Him.

However, there are some who believe that "now I'm saved, I can do what I like". However, salvation is proven by a heart & mind change & remembering that "your body is (now) the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." ( 1 Cor 6:19,20). Every blessing Don, as you consider this matter & the great cost that was made to redeem your spirit back to a loving God.

I believe the significance is what is written in the verse.

HIS posture, how HE didn't get provoked, unalarmed, HE had all authority & stayed in control of HIMSELF & the situation.

This scripture has often had much discussion about what wasn't clearly written even more than what was. I believe the HOLY SPIRIT teaches us even more deeply personally in HIS Word.

Psalm 82 seems very plain to understand. Who are the "mighty" & who are the "gods" (v 1)?

The answer is clearly given in the succeeding verses: they are the unjust judges, who as 'gods', have been given the authority to administer justice as the One & Holy God does. But these 'gods' will "shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes." (v 7) because of their wickedness in administering justice.

I'm from the USA, here we can freely buy, read, distribute & discuss the Bible, however In other countries I've heard testified people suffer death, imprisonment & horrible challenges just to take part in any of those. Some were trying to get 1 book into hands of churches overseas. I guess my question to you, is: to have the privilege to read or not read a collection of books written for benefit, life, guidance, wisdom (that others risk death to read) why not?

Verse 9-This is a nice verse to help wives think of themselves as a partner to their husband. By supporting one another in the marriage it can help to strengthen the marriage.

Verse 18-God wants husbands to rejoice with their wife. Romantic interests must be confined to one's own mate.

Verse 14-we should rejoice in Jehovah God's acts of salvation. We should focus on the fact that he wants to save faithful ones, he has the ability to save, and he has promised to do so.

Verses 6 and 7 bring out that only with Jehovah God can Israel accomplish anything.

Lord, I'm here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like Nehemiah, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision and protection. Because your question concerns dealings with a Church you attend and the money you and others gave to it:

Did the Church understand what the money was for?

Did they agree the use of church property for this project? Was anything written down?



Did they accept the intentions of the parishioners that the money would be used to install a computer lab onsite of Church property?

Can you produce receipts of what each individual gave to the project?

Where I live, some of the YMCA's are assembling computer labs. Check with Goodwill. I do not know what their requirements are. I'm sure it's not a child-sitting service. Ask around and find out ideas of how other people are handling this. "Home Schooling" has to meet State standards as far as grades and tests; requirements.

It was a 'group' Effort that began this, and it needs to stay that way. Don't bear this burden alone. Everybody has a vested interest. Lastly, pray at every step you take. (All of you). Commit the entire project to God, First, and proceed from there. Listen for His voice. Learn Spiritual Warfare. Ephesians 6.

Don't let anybody stomp on your dreams.

Trust God. Read a KIng James Version Bible for yourself. Read in Psalms & Proverbs, all the troubles King David had with everybody!
