Thanks brother Jesse for your further clarification. I guess 1 Timothy 4:14 was at the back of my mind when I read Romans 1:11; i.e. as Timothy received 'the gift' by the laying of hands upon him, so Paul was planning to do likewise to those believers in Rome. Yet, it seems more reasonable to believe that Paul wanted them to grow in Christ, maturing both in faith (as you mentioned: of being fully persuaded in their mind & spirit) & of course, their usefulness in the Church & living victoriously in a pagan society. Off in a few days & thanks for your prayers. May the Lord enable you in your studies in Romans & sharing the Word with us.

    Hello brother Chris,

You are very welcome and thank you for following along in these studies. I've always been impressed with your knowledge and understanding of scripture so anytime I share something you find to be an "eye-opener," it means a lot to me. For a long time, I was unsure of the meaning of Romans 1:11. I used to think Paul was going there to present or give them some kind of gift. The following verses in the chapter didn't clear anything up for me. I have since come to learn that this word "gift" used here didn't have anything to do with something that was given to someone.

I think there's a lot of confusion today in the body of Christ about all the so-called "gifts of the Spirit." According to scripture, the only gift we are given is the gift of the Holy Spirit. We find this in Acts 2:38 where that Greek word for gift actually means a gift that is given to someone. Other places where we see the word gift, it is the word CHARISMA, and that is not a gift given but an expression of grace. We are given the gift of the Holy Spirit, and it is the Holy Spirit that has the ability and capacity to do all the things we call "gifts of the Spirit."

You touched a little on ministry and I agree with what you are saying. In fact, I understand this whole section of scripture ( Romans 1:8-15) as Paul's plan for ministry. I believe it was Paul's desire for them to see how God was working in his life, his faith (Persuasion) and that they might also share in the same persuasion, but not for Paul to boast of anything.

I hope you have a great time on your vacation and if you're traveling, I pray for safe travels. God bless!!!

    TIME AND JUDGMENT (Part 5)

We find that the unfolding of God's salvation plan is in no sense haphazard or random, but that every aspect of that plan is worked out in time. We can't separate time from the law, they are inextricably linked together. Galatians 4:4 declares

"4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons."

Today there are a number of people who are saying they know the timing of Christ's return. Whether God shall reveal the timing remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Christ's return is imminent, and the time to make our calling and election sure is now.

    Hebrews 2:3,4

"3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?"

2 Corinthians 6:2 "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)"

Romans 9:27,28 "27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For he will finish the [Greek: logos, proclamation of the gospel], and cut it short in righteousness: because a short [Greek: logos, proclamation of the gospel] will the Lord make upon the earth."

May the LORD open our spiritual eyes and ears as we search the scriptures, applying the principals that God Himself has laid out in His Word, the Bible. Praying that God, in His Mercy, might open our understanding. And that He might give us an earnest and ongoing desire to be obedient to that Word.

    TIME AND JUDGMENT (Part 4)

When we couple these two things together, namely the inference that there is some kind of end-time salvation activity that is to take place, together with the fact that the great tribulation is a time when judgment has begun in the house of God ( 1 Peter 4:17) and shall remain so until the very end, we realize that both of these activities are happening simultaneously, and that the mechanism by which God is separating the wheat from the tares in our day is the command to depart out of the local congregations.

That brings us back to the timeline. Faithful Bible students have shown (I am not permited to give the reference here) that the Great Tribulation began in May of the year 1988, which was also the 13,000th anniversary of the history of the world, and that the church age officially ended in September 1994, at which time God began the period called the Latter Rain during which a great harvest of souls is being gathered from every corner of the world using sources outside the local congregations. The year 1994 is an auspicious year in that it is a jubilee year that occurs every 50th year beginning back in 1407 B.C. when the children of Israel entered the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, a land typifying the kingdom of God. The jubilee is characterized by the blowing of the ram's horn proclaiming liberty (from sin) throughout the land, and every man returning unto his possession, who is God himself ( Leviticus 25:8-10). The evidence of the Bible is that Jesus was born in 7 B.C. which was also a jubilee year. The year 1994 A.D. happens to be the first jubilee year after the fig tree (national Israel) put forth leaves in 1948, and thus, fits very well with the prophecy of Matthew 24:32 that when the fig tree puts forth leaves, ye know that summer, that is, harvest, is nigh.

    TIME AND JUDGMENT (Part 3)

Matt 21:19 "And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away."

This verse relates directly to Matt 24:32, because this verse is saying there were leaves only, that is, there was no fruit. In the Bible, fruit relates to salvation. We also read in Luke 13:7

"7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?"

Despite Jesus ministering personally to the nation of Israel for approximately three years, healing the sick and raising the dead, very few believed on him. Fact is, the spiritual rulers wanted him crucified because he dared to make himself equal with God. Therefore, Jesus cursed the fig tree, saying, "Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever". This curse extends to the very present day, more than seventy years since Israel was officially reconstituted as a nation in May of 1948. That event of Israel being reconstituted as a nation identifies with the fig tree putting forth leaves in Matt 24:32, and please note, there is nothing said about fruit, only leaves.

Note that the verse says, "When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh." Summer in the Bible identifies with harvest, which implies there is going to be some great activity of salvation taking place. Then in the next verse, God declares, "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." By that statement God is declaring that we are presently in the end-time scenario described in Matt 24. This is because a wise man's heart shall discern both time and judgment, and because we are at that time in history when God is taking the seals off of those truths that have been kept sealed during the church age.

    TIME AND JUDGMENT (Part 2)

When we turn to Matt 24, the setting for the entire chapter is set forth in verse 3 when the disciples asked Jesus, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

Later in the chapter God declares in Matt 24:32-33

"32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."

This is an important calendar time reference, because the Biblical fig tree is national Israel, which is the nation that Jesus came out of according to the flesh. It is the nation that Jesus ministered to very personally for three-and-a-half years by the sea of Galilee. And yet, there were very few who believed on him during that time, so much so, that Jesus declared the following in Matt 11:20-24

"20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: 21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. 23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee."

This underscores that when Jesus cursed the fig tree, he was in fact referring to national Israel."

Matt 21:19 "And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away."

    TIME AND JUDGMENT (part 1)

"...A wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment." Ecclesiastes 8:5

There is nothing that is quite as controversial in the Bible as the matter of time, and specifically, the question of where we are presently in terms of time. The Bible lays down a fundamental principle that we may not shy away from in Ecclesiastes 8

"...4 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou? 5 Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment. 6 Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. 7 For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?"

Here God is laying down a fundamental principle. A "wise man" is referring to Christ, who indwells each and every believer in the person of the Holy Spirit.

We also have another fundamental principle laid down in Daniel 12:1-4

"1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

In verse 4, God declares, But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Already there is an implication that the believers must know something about time, for how else shall we know that we are at the time of the end?

Thanks brother Jesse for taking on this task with this wonderful meaty letter of Paul to the Romans. I'm sure that this too will be to us very profitable. Just to your Romans 1:11: your explanation here was an eye-opener for me. I've always taken this verse to mean that Paul, as he fellowshiped with the saints there, would by the Holy Spirit impart (or, administer) a lacking spiritual gift (grace) to the church there, for their establishment & maturing. However, the way I understand what you've shared, it seems that Paul would exercise the gifts (graces) with them that he had been blessed with for his life & ministry, so that believers might be strengthened and matured as they sat under such a Spirit-empowered ministry. I trust that I've understood it correctly, as this does make better sense for the reason of his going there.

I will continue to follow your work in this Book Jesse as often as I can, though I will be on vacation for nearly a month, & will not always have acces to spare time or the internet. But I will definitely make it a point to keep up with yours & other's postings here. Blessings to you & all others.

    (Romans Part 5):

Romans 1:14 - I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

The word barbarian is a reference to anybody that cannot speak Greek because to the Greeks, any language other than Greek, you were saying "Bar-Bar." You were saying a bunch of nothing, something that a newborn might begin to say when they start talking, "Bar-Bar!"

But they named anybody that was not experienced in Greek culture and Greek language a barbarian. Paul says, I am a debtor. I am in debt. Those in ministry are in debt to God's people. They have a commission by God to fulfil. Paul says that I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise, or unperceptive!

Romans 1:20 - For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Please notice the conclusion. It says, "so that they are without excuse:" The word excuse APOLOGEA, is we get our word apologetics from it. It is a legal term that means defense. People have no defense whatsoever. Not one human being is ever going to be able to stand before God and say, "I didn't know!"

Romans 1:22 - Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

So, they said "I'm intelligent. Don't tell me there's a God. I got a brain." And they became fools! The word fools in the Greek is where we get our English word moron from. They became fools (Morons)!

    (Romans Part 4):

    Romans 1:11 - For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

Now this is the only place in scripture where the bible literally says spiritual gift. All the other places, you'll notice that it will say gift, but the word spiritual will be italicized. This is the only place where it is found. And the term gift, he's emphasizing spiritual.

The word gift in the Greek text does not mean a gift that is given to somebody. The word gift is the word CHARISMA. Sound familiar? Charismatic comes from this, except this Greek word means expression of grace. That's all it means! CHARIS is the word for grace. CHARISMA is the word for expression of grace.

He says, I want to come so that there would be some spiritual expression of God's grace to you from me.

Romans 1:12 - That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

The word faith, PISTIS, means persuasion in Greek. And it is a word that describes the Holy Spirit's persuasion over us when He ministers to us, and His persuasion through us when He ministers through us. And the early church says, and like Paul said, your faith is known throughout the world. He wasn't talking about their human practice of faith. He was talking about God's Spirit through you is being spoken of throughout the whole world.

The bible never says that faith is of man. It always tells us, and we are going to learn this in the book of Romans, that faith is a gift from God. It is not something that man produces; it's something that man is given.

It is a word that describes the presence and activity of God's Spirit in a believer's life. It is the presence and the activity. In the book of Acts, they used to call the Christians those people "Of the faith." They are of a certain persuasion that you can't see. They call Him Jesus Christ, but you can never see Him! That's why we are of the faith, of the persuasion of God.

    (Romans Part 3):

Romans 1:5 - By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

By whom, or through whom, and this would be Jesus, we have received. We receive from God that which we need as He fulfils His purpose in us.

Next, the compliance: It says, "For obedience to the faith." I don't know if you caught it but listen to this. We get it all the way through Romans, and it may change your whole view in understanding about what faith is. It won't be religious faith. It will be Spiritual faith. God gives us the grace for obedience to the faith. We have no ability or capacity to obey the faith of Christ!

And then we have the circumstances: For Paul, it's among all nations. The word nations is the word Gentiles. And lastly, the cause for this is for His name. Literally, upon the basis of His name. If I represent Christ, He's going to give me the grace to do what He wants me to do because it represents Him. He made the promise to me.

I go out and I share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Those aren't empty religious words. I go knowing and believing by faith that God promised. To all of those who will believe, He will give them His Spirit. They will be saved. That's a promise!

Romans 1:7 - To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The word beloved means the object of love. We are the object of God's love. We are beloved of God. God's love is always directed in our direction and is always in ministry and care over us. Not only are we the beloved of God, but we're called saints. Notice again the words "to be" are not in the Greek text. We are saints by calling.

A saint doesn't mean holy in the sense of pure. That's a totally different Greek word. This word holy or saint means to be set apart. When the Spirit of Christ came into my spirit, came into my heart, He set me apart for Christ and for the Lord's purposes.

    (Romans Part 2):

Romans 1:4 - And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

And declared to be the Son of God with power. I've shared this before and I know not everyone agrees, but I will share this again. The Greek text takes the term "Son of God" and it's just a title. Declared to be Son of God.

Without getting into too much detail, in the Greek the word Son doesn't mean somebody that has been born. There are different words in Greek that's translated son. Son is actually a legal position, an inheritor of all of his father's things. It is called a HUIOS, a son. Jesus Christ is presented as the inheritor of all things of the Father in heaven. He is the rightful owner. He purchased us. He purchased the earth. Everybody will answer to Him.

But please notice the categories for His deity. It says with power, literally in power. All three of these things describe the same act. In power, according to the spirit of holiness, and by (or out of) the resurrection from the dead:

God in heaven gave approval as to who Jesus Christ is when He raised Jesus from the dead. That was the finishing point. He died for our sins on the cross, but had He not been raised from the dead, that sacrifice would have meant nothing. It's God's approval to raise Him from the dead.

This makes Jesus Christ all human and all God, all at the same time when He came, 100% human and 100% God.

    Biblical Greek Perspectives:

The book of Romans (Constitution of the Christian faith)

    (Romans Part 1):

Romans 1:1 - Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

The word servant is actually the word slave. And without getting into detail about the DULOS (the slave), when one serves Christ and is a slave or servant, it is not an 8 to 5 job. It is 24 hours a day, totally the servant and slave of Christ. Paul is not the servant of people. He's the servant of Jesus Christ. Therefore, he represents Christ in service to Christ.

Something else I would like to share; our English text says that Paul is called to be an apostle. The words "to be" are added to the text. If you notice in your bible, the words "to be" are in italics. It literally reads a called apostle, not called to be an apostle, but a called apostle. It tells us what kind of apostle he is. He's called by God. He's not appointed by man. It's not even his own choosing or ambition. But he's an apostle of Jesus Christ by calling.

Also, about his consecration. Paul was separated unto the gospel of God. God separated him for a purpose just like He does all believers. Not all believers are separated and set apart to be an apostle, but every believer is somebody who has responded to the calling. It is not something that we decided to do. We responded to His call.

We also have been separated. Every believer has a function in the body of Christ. We're not just saved by Jesus in order to go to heaven and have our sins forgiven, but we actually have a function.

Praise GOD for a peaceful outcome of our nation's election. THE Lord Jesus Christ is still on the throne. He will soon return.

May the saints continue to be faithful to His word and stand in the gap, and make up the hedge for the glory of GOD.

Happy holidays every one, God to shine His face on you.

This scripture comes to mind. Thanks for reading.

Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

    THE BIBLE (part 4)

Ephesians 1:3-5 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,"

2 Peter 3:3-13 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth"

    THE BIBLE (part 3)

The Bible teaches that in the beginning man was created in the image and likeness of God. God immediately placed man in a beautiful garden and told him that he was free to eat the fruit of every tree in the garden saving for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God warned him that in the day he ate of the fruit of that tree, he would surely die. ( Genesis 2:15-17)

Man failed the test and became spiritually dead, and was driven from the presence of God. ( Genesis 3:24) That condition continues right to the present day. Mankind is by nature in rebellion against his creator and unless God himself intervenes to save him, he will die in his sins. Sin is the trangression of the law, and the wages of sin is death. The Bible is God's lawbook.

The only antidote, the only remedy, is if God himself provides a substitute, a stand-in, someone who is without sin and qualified to bear the penalty for sin in place of man and fully satisfy the demands of God's law. That someone is the Lord Jesus Christ, God Himself, who gave his life in order that God's elect might have the gift of eternal life.

There is absolutely nothing that natural man can do to contribute to or guarantee his salvation. Salvation is 100% the work of God according to God's foreordained elective program and according to God's own timetable. The churches regardless of denomination have set up a Do-It-Yourself salvation plan by which they teach that man can make some contribution to his salvation. The Bible insists that salvation is 100% the work of God and that God sovereignly chose those whom he would save before the foundation of the world. Man can not contribute one iota to or effect his salvation in any way. He is entirely at the mercy of God. Only God can save him. No church, no pastor, no evangelist, no priest, can guarantee anyone's salvation.

    THE BIBLE (part 2)

The King James Version is not a perfect translation, but it is translated from the oldest manuscripts and we have access to the tools (concordances, interlinears, dictionaries) which are keyed to the KJV to check the translators and check the original text as necessary. The Bible is its own interpreter.

    1 Corinthians 2:13 declares:

"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."

The Bible is a spiritual book because God who is the author is Spirit, and they that worship God must worship him in Spirit and in truth ( John 4:24).

The primary reason that natural man is unable to discern the spiritual things of God is because man by nature is spiritually dead, as we read in 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Ephesians 2:1-9 "And you hath he quickened [made alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air [Satan], the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation [manner of living] in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us [made us alive] together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of works lest any man should boast.

    THE BIBLE (part 1)

The Bible declares of itself in the King James translation:

2 Peter 1:20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost [Spirit]."

We also read in Jeremiah 36:1-4

"And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day. It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin. Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book."

In other words, these men were set apart by God and used of God to speak and write the very words that God wanted them to speak and write, so that (in the original manuscripts written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek) every word and every letter of every word came straight from the mouth of God. Those men were "moved" by God the Holy Spirit to speak that which God wanted mankind to know.

All praise and love to God in Heaven ! Thank you thank you thank you Lord God Almighty !

I prayed to God in my distress and He answered my prayer in less than five mins ! Not only that , but He answered my prayer through a person that I haven't had anything to do with for almost 20 years ! In all honesty , we don't get on very well but circumstances brought us together again this year and , I casually asked her if she would be able to help me , expecting a definite ' no ' but , through the Love and Grace of God , she got in touch with me to say ' yes ' less than five minutes after I was praying to God about my predicament ! God is so kind to me and you !

I read many prayer requests on here , I would like to remind us all , that it's good for us to share with each other when our prayers are answered , it gives glory to God and encourages the rest of us to continue in hope and faith in God's love and mercy , it shows us all that God does hear us and does care about us and we are allowed and encouraged to turn to Him and ask Him for help .

God answered my prayer today through someone that I never ever imagined would ever help me with anything , He works in mysterious ways for sure , but we must trust Him ! He leaves nothing to chance !

Praise and love and thanks to Him , through Jesus Christ our Saviour , Amen .

Brothers Chris, Spencer, and Sister GiGi,

I wish to thank the three of you and all others who have been following along with these studies. I have spent a great deal of time doing this as it was asked of me to do. I only hope that the one who asked me to do this might find some of the information I have shared to be useful.

Chris, I agree that the KJB (although not perfect), comes the closest in translation to the Textus Receptus. It is a translation that can be trusted for study. I own over a half dozen various King James versions. As I've said before, the King James is my bible of choice, and I also have no plans on changing. There are a couple others I find to be trustworthy, but for now I also choose to stick with the King James.

Sister Gigi, thank you also for sharing your wealth of knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. And thank you for always being so kind and caring to all on this forum.

Brother Spencer, Again, thank you for following along. I'm glad that you are finding value in these studies.

Blessings to you all in Christ Jesus!
