Please go read it again. I had to point that out to someone recently, and he was shocked that he never knew/realized that the Samaritans WERE Israelites!! The Northern Kingdom(9 tribes) were called "Outcasts" and "Gentiles" ALSO, because they were living LIKE the actual Gentiles. Proof in in Isaiah 11:12. So please go read it again. Every single thing in the Bible is about the REAL Israelites, every parable, story, etc. And im not talking about the fake Jew-ish people in Israel today, because Christ Himself told us that His people, the Israelites would be "LED INTO CAPTIVITY"(SLAVERY) and that ANOTHER nation will take over Jerusalem "UNTIL the times of the gentiles be fulfilled." Luke 21:24

Sir, pay close attention to scripture, else you will miss the truth. Please notice WHICH WELL, they met!! It was "Jacob's well," secondly, when Christ asked her to drink, she asked him why did He ask her for a drink, seeing that the Jews had no dealings with the SAMARITANS!! Pay attention. The story went on to where she asked Him;" Art thou greater than OUR FATHER JACOB who gave us this well.?" She called Jacob HER FATHER, which meant she IS AN ISRAELITE. ..as you said,"Jacob's NAME was changed to "Israel" hence HIS descendants ARE Israelites! She even said "OUR FATHERS worshipped in these mountains....". The Jews(3 tribes) despised the House of Israel(9 tribes) because they went off in sin

Matthew 24:36 is all red letter so that means Jesus is speaking. Listen. Mark it in your Bible.
"But of that day and hour knows NO man, no, not the angels of Heaven, BUT my FATHER ONLY."

Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, making intercession FOR THE SAINTS.

Don't wait till the last minute to be born again, tell people you love, about salvation, to talk to those who are ready to hear it. Put Chick tracts on windshields. Don't harden your hearts. Everyone spends time on Facebook and Twitter. We're all experts on talking. Make it count for a someone. It is time. Anybody remember Billy Graham? One of the greatest soul winners! He taught us on prophesy! It's not hard

The unforgivable is simple, not accepting Christ. All others are washed in the Blood of the Lamb. The Great I AM.

The search box at the opening of this website; type PRAYER in it. It will bring up everything. You can select New Testsment only verses if you want. After you read many of those, you will have more confidence in it. Prayer must be mixed with faith. Believe for answers and praise God for it. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God and ever lives to make intercession for the Saints (you). See if there is an intercessory prayer group at you church?

James, actually The thief is the perfect example of someone saved without works (including Baptism), The thief did not die in the Old Testament. The thief had died after Jesus thus the new Testament was in effect (see John19:31-33) Where soldiers had broken both thieves legs to officially finish the job (Because they had not yet died by the crucifixion). But Jesus himself was already dead. The thief died saved and unbaptized. Now some people might come and say it wasn't until the resurrection that the new Testament went into effect. But as Romans 9:15-22 explains "And for this cause, he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of DEATH, for the redemption of the transgressions."

  • David - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 1 - 6 years ago
Benji, I am not here for a vain argument. If you study the scriptures as they are written you will find what I said is true. Remember that we must rightly divide the word of truth and study to show ourselves approved unto God.

Hi James peace be unto you in Jesus' name. I apologize I took so long to reply. Regarding the thief, he lived and died during Old Testament times. He was a Jew and Jesus was sent unto the lost sheep of Israel. Jesus said that he must be lifted up like the serpent in the wilderness and whoever believed in him would be saved. This refers to Numbers 21 where Moses made a brass serpent and whoever looked upon it was saved from serpent bites they had received. Similarly, the Jews at that time needed only to believe in their Messiah to be saved. He believed on his Messiah and thus was saved.

Hello, are you talking about cleaning the church and no one else is doing it? Are you volunteering or paid? People are scared right now from viruses. If the church is already clean and if no meetings, why does it need to be cleaned again? I don't know the answer to your question without more information. Volunteering is often a thankless job. Jesus healed people and only 1 out of 10 took the time to thank him. Such is the way of giving as we are called. God bless you.
  • Adam - In Reply on Proverbs 3 - 6 years ago
I personally believe we aren't in the end times yet- that is just my opinion. Some is confirmation bias. I think the end will be a surprise- not even Jesus knows when. But there will be birthpains and antichrists and great deceivers. I think a virus pandemic occasionally is just normal randomness. It hasn't killed very many people actually, compared to any other normal diseases like flu which affect millions.
  • Adam - In Reply on Job 3 - 6 years ago
Yes, you can't go wrong with one of the gospels, so Acts is good. Anywhere in the New Testament that talks about Jesus is a good way to start. God bless you.
  • Mickey on 1 John 4 - 6 years ago
Some have asked what the New Testament says about judging others, etc.
    Matthew 7:1
    Luke 6:37
    John 7:24
    1 Corinthians 4:5
Concerning unforgiveness, whether in the past or the present: If we don't forgive others, God will not listen to our prayers.
It's not a feeling. It's an act of obedience no matter how others hurt us. Some of need to forgive ourselves. That was hardest fo me to learn. A really great DVD to watch on the subject, is The Shack. Might find it at Walmart. I had to watch it 28 times.

I'm just getting back into the word of God,and rebuilding my faith. Do you think Act is a great way to start?
