(This continues my last comment)Also you're right. People are damned for not believing the Gospel. But you have a different Gospel. The Gospel does not include Baptism. In fact despite tons of scriptures explaining Salvation is not of works and even in Gods definition of the Gospel 1 Corinth. 15:1-4 not including Baptism. We also have an example of someone saved without Baptism. Remember the thief? "But wait he was saved in the Old covenant"...not quite. Luke was not the last we heard of the thief. Look in John 19:31-33 It shows clearly that the thief was alive AFTER Christ Death and therefore not only was he saved without Baptism but it was also in the new covenant

David, "Water" is referring to flesh birth, Read John:3:6 with John 3:5. Jesus just explained the 2 births to Nic. One flesh, one Spiritual. And Of course, the flesh isn't what makes us born again. Jesus was not presenting these 2 births as joined means of Salvation. He hadn't explained how to be born again yet. He's just explaining what the 2 births are. Which obviously the first is natural birth because if I'm being born again by the spirit evidently I must've had a first birth. Was my first birth by the Spirit? No last time I was born was in the flesh. The Womb. (And it's not far off to say by water because when a baby is about to be born what normally happens? The Water breaks.) cont....

Romans were not killing Christians in Paul's day
King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
Acts 23:12 - And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
Acts 26:21 - For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED)

The Lord sent Joseph and Mary with Jesus into Egypt for 2 reasons.
    1. To escape the murderous herod killing all the children.
    2. fulfill prophecy OUT OF EGYPT I HAVE CALLED MY SON.
    Matthew Chapter 2
13 ...the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

ACTUALLY I said I was going to refrain BUT I've got some Irish in me and always an opinion I PRAY this opinion is Spirit led! It touches on where our text goes in the 3rd verse ! I teach Sunday School adults at a local REC it's a SMALL OLD SCHOOL ANGLICAN CHURCH! Evangelical for anyone who has read the collection of books a classic ( THE FUNDAMENTALS) all believers need it! 3 REC Priest wrote articles. 3 brings a profound scary issue we see more than I have ever seen in my life! More deadly than hate of Christ! It is an implied Spiritual sleep/apathy sickness! The people are not cussing heaven!! They simply don't acknowledge Christ for who he is! Wow! Think brethren it's the real epidemic!

It has been my experience that even though we think we cannot be forgiven. That our sins are more than he will bear, Our God will forgive ! He knows the heart , He knows you and me. He created us ,and loves us beyond our understanding. If you think you have sinned against the holy Ghost, that thought convinces me that you are not outside the grace of God. That your roots are still in place, and your future is still in Him.

What does it mean unforgivable sin against the holy Ghost? What does it mean to bind a strong man? In the next chapter Christ says when your faith is planted in good ground ,He says some will grow 30, some 60, some 100 fold. The revelation of Jesus Christ will have free course and grow,it is Only when we deny him, and allow the strong one to bind our faith, even unto spiritual death ,that their can be no forgiveness of sin. He says to him that has, even more shall be given to Him, also It is impossible for those who were once enlightened, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

How does one discern Signs and Wonders from God above, or from evil spirits?

Jesus said there will be no signs except the Sign of Jonah. Jesus fulfilled that sign with His Ressurrection. The other Sign of Jonah is preaching the Word.

So these TV Preachers are faking healings, visions, tongues, etc...

If there really was a sign, I wouldn't believe it.

    Your response, please!

It is beyond comprehension, to think that this spiritual war continues and will continue as long as our God allows it. It is His desire that all would be saved. I think back on the V.Nam war and the generation of men and woman who died for the love of a people suppressed by an evil govt. No matter what you hear. Even in this time we are being attacked, without the wisdom and love of our brothers who have already died, Satan, the enemy , can easily be overcome Only if man would confess sins , and rely on the captain of our salvation, our lord and savior ,Christ Jesus. At no other time, do we need some good leaders in the church! Unity under one gospel, letting the Holy Spirit do its work..

Jesus says in the last days he will pour out his spirit. Without knowing or reading other words, its hard to know if what others are reading are the same words in kjv. know ng that the power of the spirit must have free course ,and relies on Jesus word to do it. The kjv ,is this translation . The power of the holy spirit, will move people like no other power. It is powerful, like the sword . Discipline, patience, love for God. We are at war with a divine being, Christ is our captain! It is evident that other words cause confusion. Paul speaks plainly when he says any other doctrine be accursed. That was the first thing Christ dealt with ,when e delivered evil spirits in the synagogue.

See John 9:1-3. Christ Jesus answers this question here. See John 14:12. The "works" spoken here are demonstrations of healing done with Love and Truth through Spirit. He never used anything when he healed but God's power. If you are a believer, than you are Christ Jesus' disciple too, also written in the Scriptures. Romans chapter 8 is helpful. The Bible uses symbols so everyone can understand it from different languages at their own pace. The Christ viewed man with Love, he saw no imperfection in them. He saw man as in Gen. 1:26. God is Love, good. There is no fear. I hope this answers your question.

1-38 a as a whole we learn JESUS mind remains on finishing HIS work on earth because JESUS knows once HIS work on earth is finished all of us /mankind SHALL have access to the door that lead to SALVATION, see John 3;16-21. Though JESUS finished HIS earthly work, it will be my /your personal decision whether to enter into or not to enter into the door /SALVATION that JESUS has prepared for us. SALVATION that cause our name to be written in the BOOK, see Revelation 11-15.

I think you need to pray with 2 or more people. I recall a verse that says if 2 or more of you gather together in my name & agree as touching a thing.. I am in the midst of you. Type that in the search box at the top of this website; it'll go get the scripture.
