Hi Julius, I became very confused with all the differant Teaching but God showed me the need to ask for His Wisdom which none of us were Born with James1:5-6 Another Scripture that talked to my Heart was 1Corinthians2:9-16 I ask God when I'm seeking answers and He confirms them in Scripture, with Creation or through others who share His Truth and I now recognise Truth and error. Albert, The word "Trinity" is not used in the teachings, instead the word is "Godhead"--Hence the "WORD" Jesus--"God" the Father--and the "Holy Spirit" the Spirit of God. Isn't it a blessing when you stuggle with something and somehow God always brings you the right answers? I needed this in my mind and God always opens up my eyes to see it.

Julius, Sometimes you won't know. God has done a lot of things that we aren't capable of wrapping our minds around. At the same time of keeping an open heart and mind of what God wants you to do, you have to pull all of those thoughts and motivation behind prayer and speaking to family and members of your church. And now I have to discern between "the children of Israel" and "those of the synagogue of Satan". The Bible says we will know them by their fruits so that is the discernment tool I am using. Jesus is our Sabbath. We rest in him. The Sabbath day was a shadow of rest in Jesus. Keeping the Sabbath is not rest in Christ. It is part of the law which can not enter you into rest only God's grace through your faith can do that. Trusting in the work of Jesus on the cross is how we find rest not a work of the flesh.

How do I really know when God is saying or giving me a message or telling me something?

When God said, "let there be light", he was referring to daylight. That's why it says, he divided the light from darkness. And verses 14, 15, 16, explains what the lights were created for. What was the purpose for them. It doesn't say, he created more lights. So it could also mean that the sun was created in verse three, but the purpose of it is further explained I the latter verses.

A carnal mind looks to satisfy the body of flesh, meaning pulls of the flesh, temptation. A Spiritual mind thinks to live spiritually as Christ was spiritual. Though Christ was flesh and bones, his mind was always thinking spiritually. Christ did not think carnal thoughts. He obeyed every law of God and taught his followers to do the same.
