Although God allow others to tear down the temple and destroy the city, God people had spiritually tore down the temple and destroyed the city by their own heart when they disobeyed and dishonored God, ways and words spiritually. The only thing the enemy did was destroy the natural temple and city because God people became accursed to the Lord

Luke 18:22-30 Ironic that Jesus instructs those who trust in what they have to leave all and follow him, and those who have left all to follow him are admoished to not look in the rear veiw mirror and be sorrowful beacause what God has for them ahead is far greater.
