I read somewhere that Psalm 118:8 is the center verse in the Bible. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. So true. Yet we all tend to put our trust in men at times. Something we need to fight against. For example, we may trust our doctors but ultimately healing comes from God. We may trust our pastors, but need to check what they say with the word of God.

This scripture is about the suffering Christian. It lets us know that God may not come when you want him,but he’s right on time. No matter the suffering those that caused that suffering wasn’t just fighting against you,but against God. He’ll give them a dose of their own medicine upto the death penalty.
