The declaration of Paul the Apostle for the Church. What is the Gospel? It is in this sole declaration of 1 Cor 15:1-4. That Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture, He was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scripture. The Gospel is 75% negative and 25% positive. Christ died -ve; for our sins -ve; was buried -ve; and rose again ve.

  • Tracey D. Foster on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
GOD Is Perfect. HE Is Filled with light, there's no darkness in HIM. How did HE Know about sins--murdering, stealing, lieing, self-seeking, etc., in the first place? I understand that "NOTHING" was made without HIM creating it whether intangible, or tangible . So, GOD created sins, too?
  • Sharon on James 1 - 7 years ago
James 1 is amazing, specifically verses2-8 which I believe is encouragement, admonishment, a warning, and hope. He is encouraging us to ask God for wisdom in hard situations, chatising us about responding like the world, warning us of the negative consequences of our negative decisions, yet giving us hope that if we do it God's way, by faith, we will triumph totally

The temple, made without hands. The body of Christ temple, is built with the born again who will reign with him forever. The branch is Jesus reaching out and bringing us into Him. This branch has never lost a leaf, and none has fallen to the ground. The roots are everlasting, and the leaves are always green. This tree is planted by the rivers of water, and the redeemed shall never ever wither.

    Daughter of Sion,
Christ lives within us. The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:26-27 (I pray that the LORD relieve you of your depressive episode, in Jesus name amen)
  • Obbie Beal on Exodus 14 - 7 years ago

  • Mittie on Psalms 91 - 7 years ago
Ps. 91 always made me feel safe and protected from the Satin and His evil angels. In verse 1 it states "if I stay in the secret place of God that I can abide by the shadows of the Almighty." The whole chapter lets me know that my Almighty God has my back from the enemy.
  • Lighttotheshadows on John 8 - 7 years ago

If you ASK anything in my name I will do it. The 14th verse blessed me so much. I know that Jesus is
always there for me. I believe his words and know that God is not a man that he should lie and if he said
or spoke anything he would make it GOOD.

What a Merciful God we serve, God loves us so much to care for us so intricately! He gives His favor through instruction and discipline instead of letting us continue in sin! WOW
  • Michael on Philemon 1 - 7 years ago
Phyllis Engebretson, The claim that Philemon, his wife, son and Onesiums were martyred is an unsubstantiated story, or "tradition," that Christian historians have disregarded because there is no evidence for it. I hope this answers your question. Blessings!
  • Hannon Roy on Ecclesiastes 1 - 7 years ago
Anything new? Try living on the Moon or Mars. Exploration isn't new, but space is. Growing an ear on a mouse (Genetics) is new. We should love the idea of new, not letting ourselves get tired of riches and wives. Still, God loved and recognized him.

  • Wendy on 1 Samuel 17 - 7 years ago
I love this TRUE story from the Bible. Never gets old, as my oldest daughter likes to say. And that's so true - it is indeed invigorating to read just how God can use ANYBODY that has big faith. I loved the comment about how they might feel about our sports players of today, and is also a good point.

Most of all, I'm so grateful this God is our God and He'll do the same for us as He did David!!

    Replying to Andrew Steinberg:

“ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

  • Vanessa on 1 Thessalonians 1 - 7 years ago
This was a letter Paul wrote to the church, speaking how pleased God was that they turned from idols and excepted Jesus as their Lord and saviour,as we all should be thankful and grateful for the love of the living God, there is knowone greater then he, praise him in prayer, speak of him often, if you don't have the wisdom you feel of his word ask him, live in faith, trust in him, except the Lord
  • Lucrisha Valentine on Psalms 34 - 7 years ago

YHWH is what Ancient Hebrews Used for GOD'S Name they would not Use Vowels. Elohim, El-Shaddai, Yahweh, Jehovah, Adonai are Just a Few of His Names that are Used, The List is Longer. King James would Use All Capital Letters: LORD, GOD Instead of His Name Jehovah. When You Read GOD or LORD as Jehovah instead of God or Lord, it Brings a Better Understanding. / They Still Use YHWH Today
  • Bruce on Psalms 91 - 7 years ago

Nowhere does God say it is ok to take more than one wife. 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. As we can know by reading the scripture their are work's of man.
