Verse 7~Jonathan had courage and faith in Jehovah God and in turn this helped his armour bearer to have confidence. Our strong faith can have a positive effect on others.
  • BSP on Ecclesiastes 12 - 8 years ago
Verse 10~Solomon wanted the people to benefit so he took time to find careful words that were accurate and true. We should also weigh our words and consider what we will say before we say it.
  • BSP on Romans 5 - 8 years ago
Verse 12~Sin was passed on to all mankind because Adam as the first human sinned and passed this on. Death is a result of sin and so all die. We can be so grateful to Jehovah God for the ransom of his son Jesus Christ that will undo all the damage that has taken place over the centuries.

Jehovah God cares for the birds by giving them what is needed to feed them and make sure they are clothed. If God cares for the birds, we can have confidence that he will care for our needs.

  • Dina on Proverbs 31 - 8 years ago
Wonderful advice given by a mother to her son. What mother doesn't want her son to have such a wife? I fear that Solomon's mother raised her son's expectations too high. Could this explain his reason for having so many wives? He looked for the perfect woman all his life; he kept marrying and marrying. If his writings in Ecclesiastes are any indication, he never found her.
  • Arley3 on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
Rebeka if people want to sin they can believe a lie with miracles happening right in front of their eyes. "2 Thes. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." If God didn't make it this way we wouldn't see evil as a choice. God wants voluntary praise.

  • Jason Wells on 1 Corinthians 11 - 8 years ago
Michael, about your comment on hair length, did you state that Jesus would have had short hair? Many of the Independent Fundamental Baptists like to portray Jesus with a crew cut, which is quite absurd. We have to rightly divide; Paul was writing to people in the body of Christ, not to Jews nor to Christ Himself. Per Leviticus 19:27, Jesus had long hair. He didn't break the law.

This scripture was fulfilled and Acts 2:38 when Peter said repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promises and to you and to your children and to all them a fa

John 5 v 40: And ye will not come to me that ye may have life---just read this and must have read it many times in my life but it touched me this morning: it is me not going to the Lord, so when I wonder why so much hurting things happen to me, I need to go to the Lord always
  • Mohan Ram on Psalms 23 - 8 years ago
Most people, Christians and non Christians alike draw; strength, comfort and support from this Psalms. In the time of hurt, pain and rejection and the very darkest moment of life, this is the Psalms we run to for it is like the Healing Balm of Gilead. Here we find rest in the Everlasting Arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. Praise ye the Lord!
  • Menia Battle on Genesis 49 - 8 years ago
I have read the Bible but I am re-reading it because I want true understanding and as I am re-reading through with different eyes I am connected and it seems as if I can visualize these things happening. I can get lost in what I am reading. I have to admit, I had to re-read chapter 49 and I still don't have clarity on it's meaning. I am going to read it again and disect every sentence.

  • Word on Revelation 15 - 8 years ago
Wait for the true Christ don't follow anyone else. The Lord returns at the 7th trump with fire and hail stones weighting up to 180 lbs and he will crush Satans head as he sits in Jerusalem claiming and being worshipped. When the fire comes to burn all wickedness off the face of earth and you don't want to be caught worshipping Satan. Buy food, pay your bills up for 3 months when Satan comes.
  • Word on Revelation 14 - 8 years ago
Disciple As it were in the days of Noah they were eating, drinking and having a party. When antichrist or instead of Christ shows off his supernatural powers and stands in Jerusalem claiming he is God the world will believe and they will be eating and drinking and having a party but election they will be delivered up to death which is to say Satan and they stand and the Holy Spirit of God speaks.

  • Helen Berger on Galatians 5 - 8 years ago
I find Galatians 5 to serve as a blueprint, in many ways, because Paul reiterates on what Jesus taught regarding the things we must do, and not do, to inherit the Kingdom of God. In this chapter, the Word is made plain with no parables to decipher, plus, Paul identifies each vice separately, so there should be no confusion as to what's acceptable and what is not. Thank you for fixing the volume
  • Daughter on Leviticus 18 - 8 years ago
When the Earth was flooded and only the little family was there (the Ark), how did more people come about after the flood ended? I am curious because there were no other survivors except for the (blood) family.
  • Tara L on Leviticus 1 - 8 years ago
@Insight777 It's not that it was too harsh a punishment, death is the wage of all sin. But God is the one who judges and can also forgive those who repent, and part of the point of that story were that every one of the people there condemning her were just as guilty and in need of forgiveness as she was.
  • Bruce on Acts 19 - 8 years ago
Wells: Immediately after The Tribulation of those days---He shall send His Angeles with a great sound of a Trumpet, They shall gather together His Elect---Matthew24:29-33 /when affliction or persecution ariseth for The Word's sake, immediately they are offended. Mark 4:17. All True Believers will be Troubled, Persecuted, Afflicted, Suffer Tribulation: all from the same Greek word. Mark 13:13
  • A disciple on Psalms 15 - 8 years ago
Cont. "..This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28" It will require hard work of self examination and giving account honestly to God, and to remember the word of God in all the appropriate moments of the day when we are ambushed by the things of the flesh and contradictions of the world seeking to take away us from holiness and a good conscience into sinning.
  • Mark on Psalms 127 - 8 years ago
