  • His Purpose on 3 John 1 - 8 years ago
Only to often we become the only Bible people read, Thus it behooves us to walk in grace and Love with all that is in us. It is one thing to hold a position in church that should be considered an honor in service to those around us, and all together another thing to set ourselves above those in whom we serve as it appears Diotrephes was doing. the Gospel plainly teaches to walk in Love .
  • Andrea on Proverbs 18 - 8 years ago
I believe that what we say comes from our hearts. It's a heart matter! That may not be a good thing. It's time to clean out some of old stuff that keeps us drom speaking the right things!
  • Gen on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
I think of the fruit as not an actual fruit, but a fruitful knowledge of the good and bad of the world. It would be easier to picture the knowledge as an actual object, so they chose the fruit. And with eating that fruit, you welcome the evil into your body and soul.
  • Gloria Gallashaw on Psalms 118 - 8 years ago
Daily will I trust in God, for He is my refuge and my fortress.
  • Stephen B on Luke 12 - 8 years ago
5 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? This has nothing to do with your 'height'. This means by thinking you can not add one second to the years of your life.

Or better said we can lose our salvation if we turn back 2 Peter 2:21-22. It would be better to have not known the ways of righteousness than know it and turn from it. Also see Ezekiel 33:13-14.
  • Preacher on Hebrews 12 - 8 years ago
Nichole 2 Peter 2:21 states you can turn from the truth Col 1:23 says you can be moved away from the hope of the gospel. Adam and Eve teaches us sin separates us from God, notice he calls for Adam he knew where he was but sin had made them fall. The wages of sin is death unrepented sin will separate us. We are children of God or the devil. We only can serve one master.
  • Melinda Goldsby on Psalms 70 - 8 years ago
I was given this psalm through one of my rhema from heartdwellers.org and instead of grabbing my Bible I just came to this website and read it. This is the time of tests, trials, and tribulations, but if God be for us who could be against us. I thank God for saving me because I could have been dead in hell but He had great mercy on me. I love Him soo much. God bless you all.
  • Daniel on Leviticus 19 - 8 years ago
There are lots of valid points to go both ways. I fear, however as a people called of God to be separated from the world we miss the very foundation of Christian Faith by debating over the Law as Peter and Paul did. We possess no righteousness except it be by faith alone. The Law does not save it condemns through wrath. The only Law that existed before the Flood was to Honor The Sabbath Day.
  • BSP on Psalms 84 - 8 years ago
It is better to be serving Jehovah God in the way that he wants than to be living like a wicked person for many days. Having God's favor is more important than any imperfect desires.
  • Yalonda Dunnagan on Psalms 84 - 8 years ago
Jesus proclaimed that if we have seen Him we have seen the Father. He came to fulfill the will of the Father. If we through faith have accepted JESUS as our Lord and Savior all the promises of God will be fulfilled. We must walk in the faith of our Salvation, the commandments of our God and He will Sustain us in every situation. Deliverance from this world brings peace.
  • BreakingBad68 on Hebrews 12 - 8 years ago
We fall from grace when we decide to sin and follow through on it.
  • Theophilus on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago

    Nehemiah 1:9
If we confess our sin's GOD is ready to forgive, no matter our deeds.
  • Mark Rasbury on Psalms 84 - 8 years ago
Nothing can compare to the riches of God. An ounce of God out weighs anything that Wickedness can provide.
  • Rev. Quesenberry on Proverbs 11 - 8 years ago
Verse 4; all the wealth in the world cannot help when Gods judgement comes. But righteousness delivers us from death. God gives live to the ones who live a holy life. Hebrews 12 says without holiness no person shall see God. In the Old Testament days the Holy Ghost did not live inside people. That came-at Pentacost. Folks would just live right or not by the law and sacrificial system.Jesus fixed.
  • A Johnson on Proverbs 8 - 8 years ago
Proverbs 8 is beautiful, strong, and very plain about the wisdom of God.
  • Saint Skip on Psalms 23 - 8 years ago
The verses of Psalms 23 have always instilled in me the peace and hope that God's perfect love provides us. I have recited these verses in many a frightening moment in my life and always I feel the presence of My Lord Jesus Christ holding my hand and walking WITH me through the trials of this life. Thank you Lord for never leaving or forsaking us in the lies and darkness that our adversary works.

The death of the old man is pictured so perfect in 1 Samuel chapter 25
read this story about a man named Nabal which is like our old nature and a woman named Abigail who is our new nature and the marriage to David or Christ after the death of Nabal
  • Leroy M. on Proverbs 3 - 8 years ago
Thank God for his promise . All my life I have tried to live my life my way believing that I knew what was best for me , but I always fall short . This proverb teaches me that God is in control and all I have to do is surrender and believe that God is going to take care off me . I'm learning to be patient in prayer waiting on God and not being so impulsive in my actions.

in psalm 91:11,my understanding about that passage is that the Angels of the LORD are always with us so that Angels will guard and protect us and will always guide us in all our ways.
  • Rev Autrey - 8 years ago
The words "he was with God" simply means that besides the name Jesus, God's other two names are the Father and the Holy Spirit. That is to say, they are not saying in any way that there is a big God and a little God. This would be a violation of Jesus' own words: "The greatest commandment is this: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one." Meaning that there is only one being called God.
  • Rev Autrey - 8 years ago
Jesus is not God's spoken word manifesting itself in the flesh as a man. Jesus is God himself becoming a man, the greatest mystery the world has ever seen. If we see this any other way we will end up with 2 or 3 Gods, and this cannot be so. The Bible is very clear on this. There is only one being called God and he speaks to us by the name Jesus.
  • Rev Autrey on John 1 - 8 years ago
John 1:1 says "... and he was God" because Jesus is God. See we must understand that God speaks to us only by the name Jesus. The Father then and the Holy Spirit are his other two names. See with God it's not the dividing of himself into 3 parts, it's name recognition. That is, by what name he chooses to speak to us. And that name is always Jesus.
