Comment*That all who live godly lives shall suffer is certain. Nevertheless, questions regarding suffering in general, but particularly the suffering of the righteous, occopied the minds of job in the O.T, Peter in the N.T, and many christians in subsequent generations. Although all the reasons for suffering are not revealed, some are clear in the text of scripture.

IN these days it takes a very strong person to endure the pain of heart taking place. I am being put upon in all manner of evil, and see evil sinful people taking it to the limit of my endurance. Without my faith i would not be able to handle it. I am stronger in my faith now more then ever. Jesus has lifted me above these worldly insults. I am His now and always.

  • MockingBird on 2 Timothy 2 - 10 years ago
We are in a spiritual battle : We wrestle not against flesh and blood ,but against principlalities , powers, and rulers of darkness of this world. we are in the world but not of the world. This is a fight to the death and the one that has already lost in the devil and his cohearts : He is so stupid to be trying to still defeat God through His children : When we get to heaven and see the one we were fighting : we will say :"this pipsqueak is the one we were so struggling against. " The devil is already been defeated !!!

  • Ken on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 10 years ago
We are in the period of time referred to above as the "falling away". The body of Christ is lukewarm. Neither hot nor cold. Teachers with itching ears manifest a religious tone, but reject the deity of Jesus Christ and the power of the Gospel. Instead, they pervert the Gospel. Because we have turned from God, we are experiencing God's judgement. Perilous times. Next, comes the translation.

Verses 17-25 are a wonderful promise of heaven. We get to see a glimpse of Life after the earth has been re-created (after the 2nd coming) These promises are for anyone who accepts Jesus as their personal savior. By worshipping on the seventh day Sabbath we acknowledge his mark of authority.
