This chapter 4 of Leviticus is strange. What is the symbolic meaning of this chapter? I can't reconcile this in any way with our LORD's sacrifice. There has to be a deeper meaning that I cannot understand at this time. Anybody?

THE QUESTION IS ARE WE IN OURSELVES OR IN CHRIST??? WE ALL BEFORE WE MET CHRIST LIVED IN OURSELVES BY BEING LUSTFUL, HATEFUL, GREEDY, PREJEDICE, LYERS, BITTER, UNFORGIVEN, SELFISH, AND BOASTFUL.......... BUT IN CHRIST WE LEARN HOW TO LIVE FROM THE INSIDE OUT! IF WE SAY THAT WE IN CHRIST THEN CHANGE MUST HAPPEN BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE FOR US INSPITE OF OUR FAULTS! TO KNOW CHRIST IS TO KNOW LOVE! ONCE U TASTE THE GOODNESS OF GOD FOR YOURSELF, CHANGE WILL COME OVER U AS YOUR FAITH GROWS IN HIS LOVE! LORD THANK U FOR CHANGING THE WAY I THINK, THE WAY I LIVE, AND THE WAY I LOVE! AMEN! GLORY BE TO GOD!!!

About the chapter 8:8 when the fourth great kingdom which was Persian empire was knocked by Alexander the Great, "the goat waxed very great" means the fifth kingdom so he Alex was strong, but when its great horn was broken he fell, for this reason there came four notable ones, that represented the sixth great kingdom Roman empire with its four tetrarchs tetra means four - arch head leaders . About the verse 9, "Out of them came a little horn", means out of the Romans the seventh empire which has a extreme prosperity in all the directions of the Earth. In the book of revelation we can find the end of the the seventh empire through the great tribulations, even the eighth Empire that probably will be finishing the last millennium, which could be the seventh millennium since the creation of man.

Verse 12-13-14. I'm not clear I really need some sort of understanding what did Jesus mean by saying this verses, an to whom is he referring to come, that will guide us to all truth.???and by saying that, I must go away in order for him to come, which means that can't be Holy Ghost as we pretend, because the Holy Ghost was all the time with Jesus during his live. So who is about to come that Jesus told us on these three verses please!!!?????

Hermes - I do not understand much of what you said. However, the part about "It is folly to worship the outdated notion of an external God, grovelling to him for redemption from the foul and ridiculous notion of original sin" I totally disagree with. While you are entitled to believe whatever you will, I would strongly urge you to reconsider and carefully read the KJV scriptures in hope of finding salvation.

Imagine God's wisdom and words coming in confrontation with your worldly accusser, oppressors and adversaries..It obviously means you will triumph over them all so be at peace...halleluya!

  • David Dix on Isaiah 61 - 10 years ago
The beautiful meaning of chapter 61 to me is that this is the material the old Religious leaders had and studied at that time. They should have known this as being a great prophesy to come. However, when Jesus appeared in front of them at the Temple in LUKE 4:18, He opened the Bible and "read" or told them exactly who HE was with rephrasing Isaiah 61 in front of them. In fact, I do not think He read it. He spoke it to them. He was telling them who He was, why He was born, and what He was to accomplish. They said later on in Luke that Jesus could not be that Person because they knew Him to be the "carpenter's son". Then, they took Him out of the Temple to try to kill Him in anger. he walked through them. It was not His time to die. The Prophesy of Isaiah 61 had been fulfilled.

Christ Jesus makes it clear that if a married women is put away she cant remarry under any circumstance, unless she becomes a widow. A woman should choose her husband wisely,a women should marry a man she feels will love her as he loves his self, and cherish her.
