In the old testament circumcision was key in defying an Israelites BUT today baptism is key n defining a Christian. Therefore l still think Baptism took the place of circumcision ... If read with Vs 10 12.

Verse 63, Perhaps the meat offering is symbolic in amount. An average ox weighs 1,500 pounds. 22 thousand ox are 3 million 3 hundred thousand pounds of flesh. An average sheep at time of slaughter is around 125 pounds so 120,000 sheep would be 15 million pounds of flesh. So that would be approximately 18 million, 300 thousand pounds of flesh offered in a day in the middle of the court because the brazen alter was to small to hold it all. This immense amount of flesh makes me think perhaps the sacrifice amount was not literal but symbolic.

Charity, like. Moses said the LORD said unto me, Arise... God chose Moses to be a deliverer of the people of Israel. That also meant a leader and prince who was coming to the end of their journey in the desert or wilderness. The battle for the promised land was to begin before Israel crossed the Jordan river and Moses was to lead them through instructing and praying for them as the fought the giants of the land like Sihon and og. Glory be to God in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen!

119 vs. 114, Thou art my hiding place. Sound like Psa. 32:7. I believe this has a dual meaning. First it could mean David found refuge in God from his enemies, and for sure that is true, however I believe the deeper meaning is the refuge is from consequences of sin. The shield spoken of in this verse would protect him from guilt, sadness, and sorrow of past failures, as the enemy would try to use sins already forgiven, against him. David ends this verse like so many others stating,"I hope in your word", that is the promises and truths in it. The word hope is not like one would hope something would come to pass, but rather a resting the thing desired is already secure.

119vs 113, I hate vain thoughts. The Hebrew meaning of vain thoughts is divided mind, skeptic thought. One of the reasons that David loved God's law was there were no contradictions. God's law is perfect. God's law does not divide the mind. Isa. 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little. That is commandment upon commandment and the line upon line is the cord that connects everything together, or harmonizes everything.

Yes this is indeed the truth the disciples forsook all, Jesus forsook all, Paul forsook all, this is a direct command and is re affrimed in some passages luke 14 any one who does not forsake all thst he has cannot be my disciple, which is scary since we are all called to be disciples but who actually will become one few to disobey this is to disobey Jesus many are called few are chosen. Not all who say unto me Lord Lord shall enter the Kingdom but those who do the will of the Father this is part of the will. There will be a separation of sheep and goats, and there should great wondrous power in the heavens above and the earth below anything less i just don't see the point, The greatest time on earth becomes the weakest time on earth, anyone who believes in Jesus the word of GOD shall do the same works of the Son of God and greater works because Jesus has gone to the Father, This is the will of God to rely on him totally to pick up your cross be prepared to die and follow Jesus to Calvary anything less is to me boring. He who endures to the end shall be SAVED.
  • Mike D on Psalms 119:112 - 10 years ago
What we see here is a resolve to be true to God. My mind went to Isaiah 50:7, For the Lord God will help me therefore I shall not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. True religion can never be faked because it can only be lived out by those who are sold out. There is no power in the most moral man to pull that off. That power comes only by the Holy Spirit in a persons life who has yielded control and now trust God whatever the outcome. David ends his verse saying he would keep God's statutes always, that is constantly, and to the end, which would mean permanently.
  • James on 2 Corinthians 10:6 - 10 years ago
My Obediance is full at the fulfilling of my life. a Christian is not a judge for the deliverance of wrath in this life. Christ laid down his life for the ungodly offender. If necessary we should do the same in this life then my Obediance is full. Then all things shall be judged.
  • Tara lambert on Proverbs 26:11 - 10 years ago
This verse is so true!! As much as I try too not repeat the same sin over and over again, knowing what the outcome will be. I still return too it. Does anyone else have this problem?? An answer to why I keep doing this?? I love God with all my heart and hate letting him down and i know right from wrong but i still keep doing that stupid sin darn it! So to me this verse is so true about me . It's like God wrote it just to me...
  • Mike D on Psalms 119:111 - 10 years ago
What David is saying in this verse is, what God has spoke in His law, I have taken ownership of or Your law is my law. There was no compulsion from God on David, but rather David counted is his delight to be immersed in God's law, or as put, it is the rejoicing of my heart. Have you noticed whatever a man finds pleasure in, that becomes what he makes time for. For David, the law was what consumed him.
  • Angella on Isaiah 36 - 10 years ago
When we are faced with adversity the enemy of our souls Satan will do say whatever he can to make us doubt that the LORD will deliver us in our situations. It is for us to trust in the LORD and know that if He did it before, He can do it again. All the LORD wants us to do is trust in Him and know that He is GOD!!!!
  • Tree barry on Psalms 127 - 10 years ago
This scripture you cannot miss with what God wants from you. Praise from the beginning wherever you go praise the lord, acknowlege who he is and what he is capable of doing. And whatever you can find to praise him with do it. And everything that has breathe there is a way to praise him. Until the ending of this praise he wants us to praise him with everything inside of us. This means a continual praise for the rest of our life.

Verses 5,6: sometimes we are afraid to share with someone we care about what they are doing wrong for fear of rejection, but we are doing them more harm by our silence. We need to for the opportunity then share what it maybe then pray some more and step back let God be God. If they don't listen you have done your part to watch out for their good.
  • Bonyah isaac on Acts 3:21 - 10 years ago
Heaven must receive Christ until the time for restitution of all things This means God will not reveal Jesus until He has created in Him all things, the full body of Christ.Hence the New Creation is meant here which will restore de old one. And it through the gospel dat God is creating New Man in Christ as the prophets prophesized- 1 Peter 1:12.Isaiah prophesizd about this in Symbols in Isaiah 65:17-25 of the New Creation restoring the old one.
  • Insight 777 on 1 Kings 8 - 10 years ago
Verse 27, Paul mentioned that someone else told him about a 3rd heaven but Paul was unsure if it was true or not since Paul was not given this information directly from God. So a 3rd heaven associated with earth may or may not be true. But verse 27 in this chapter is making the point that God does not reside in one place solely. God does not reside only in a heaven regardless of how many heavens have been established. God resides everywhere in the universe at all times through eternity. God is not limited to residing in one building on one small planet in the universe he created. When Jesus sets up the new Jerusalem on earth where he will live, his father, God, will still reside everywhere in the universe.

Paul and Silas gives us an example of the power of prayer and praise. We only need to read down to the next first, verse 16:26 to see results of prayer and praise.

I believe it has a double meaning and warning. The verse is telling us not to divorce and is also telling us the definition of marriage between a man and a woman and let no man destroy the institution that God has created.
