Your not going to understand everything at one time, Christs feeds you daily, as he see fit; keep studying, when Christ wants you to see, YOU WILL SEE, it's HIS WORKS and HIS TIME FRAME, there are about 750,000 words and thy all have a key to understanding, when you don't understand something, move on to other scriptures, Christ will reveal himself as you study. The more he reveals of himself the more you will want to know, you will come to the point when you can't get enough, you will hunger and thirst after his righteousness.
Yes. Yuinnik, that was helpful but I read that and here wheer I still need understanding , Jesus was the only spirit that came down from heaven and had to be born of women to get his human form, yes to appear in human form is one thing but how did become human when, Jesus had to be born.
This is a tough scripture, the sons of God and the daughters of men. Some consider the sons of God to be the line of Seth and the daughters of men the line of Cain. Then if we throw in what Jesus said in Matt. 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven, wow.
There is no need for angels in heaven to marry, they are immortal, and no need to reproduce as we will be after the resurrection in the kingdom on the new earth. Angels are called sons of God in Hebrew b'nai Elohim in Job 1:6Job 2:1Job 38:7.
Through scripture angels take on human form, they eat and drink Gen. 18:7-8Gen. 19:3 and physically wrestle with man, Gen. 32:24. If they eat and drink would that mean they have all the organs of man on earth? Scripture tells us there are devils/demons and fallen angels on earth along with Satan but there is another group of angels. These angels are different, they are locked in chains of darkness in the bottomless pit until judgment. 2 Peter 2:4-7Jude 1:6-7. We see in Rev. 9:11 this pit has a king, and this is where Satan will be locked up for 1000 years.
They left their first estate, heaven and in 2 Peter and Jude it says making them an example, (going after strange flesh), they corrupted God's creation Gen. 6:5-7. Even though there are fallen angels roaming the earth this set of angels God made an example to the others they will be locked in chains of darkness until judgment. We see the devils in Mark 5:9-10 were in fear Jesus might cast them down to the bottomless pit.
We see that this happened again after the flood, Gen. 6:4 "and also after." The description in scripture is clear these are not just tall people. 2 Samuel 21:16Joshua 12:4Numbers 13:33Deuteronomy 2:19-21Deuteronomy 20:17Amos 2:9. This is just a small amount of information but may it will help in your study.
Yes you are right but this where the game change. Remember they saw the children of Men beautiful in their eyes and said to one another let us go and take them in as wife's and at the junction of agreement between them all they took HUMAN form and came down and took wife for them selves and it is recorded that it was when their wife's began to give birth that the people knew something wasn't right. So my dear the truth is once they took HUMAN form they natural possess every emotions man has and that is why they could explore our fathers to teach all kinds of things at the time. I hope this has helped.
No, I do not find these passage helpful in my question, as to how in the Old testament Genesis 6 it spoke of angels having sex with human daughters and producing the nephilim quoting new Testament passage , but not answering the question as stated, being as angels no sex organs.

It has been suggested by many that either the Lord fulfilled all things in the generation that He was on earth which He referred to here (consummating in the AD 70 Roman slaughter of the Jews and destruction of Jerusalem); or more commonly that some or all things are yet to be fulfilled within the "generation" which began in 1948 when it is said that Ezekiel's prophecy of a nation born in a day ( Isaiah 66:8; see also Ezekiel 37:21 as well as verse 4 on the "valley of dry bones.") Psalm 90:10 in my mind fairly well makes it clear the extent of the normal lifetime of a man; and other scriptures seem to indicate a generation is 40 years. The case of Noah and the Ark is sometimes brought up; as to the number of days of man being 120 years ( Genesis 6:3). As to whether that means the time until the Ark was built from that statement or the lifespan of man or both may also be in question. Whatever the case; it is clear by the time of Christ people were living lives at best similar to today. It has generally been suggested therefore that a generation is 40 years and a double fulfillment would certainly make that evident when we see the time from Christ's proclamation until 70 AD as being slightly less than 40 years.
We went through the years of expectation in 1988 as to the rapture (although the prophecy mentions the "sign of the coming of the Son of Man" which would probably be when the world sees Him in the 6th Seal or later near His return by the context of the verse). At any rate; we went through the 90's and then some said it was really 1967 and the capture of Jerusalem that started off the final generation. Jump to 2008 and that clarly didn't happen; and then the 2017 events which recognized Jerusalem as the capitol and yet we are still here in 2023. Somethin' ain't right here with the logic. We would certainly expect that because things didn't happen as expected many will fall away ( 2 Peter 3:4; Matt. 24:28).

Hello Ricardo. We are not told about the years it took for the Ark's construction, but from what information we're given, we can make a rough guess. In Genesis 6:3, God declared His sorrow that mankind had become so evil that God's Spirit would no longer "strive" (in Hebrew, the sense of pleading & continual judgement) with mankind. So from that time, God had given man 120 years of existence before being wiped out. This extra time may be for man to come to his senses, repent & turn from his wicked ways, but certainly for Noah's witness & preaching of man's destruction ( 2 Peter 2:5) to them, as well as for the building of the ark in preparation for the saving of the righteous ones.
Those who have calculated Noah's age & the birth of his sons & their marriages, believe that it may have taken between 55 to 75 years (maybe even more), for the ark's construction, plus the gathering of the animals & their feed. We're not told of those involved in its construction: certainly Noah & his sons, but there also may be others: unbelieving men (craftsmen) yet needing to earn a living by assisting in this mysterious build. Special tools & expertise would be required for the cutting & shaping of the wood & other necessary parts of this vessel.
No mention is made of saving any fish/sea creatures, so I assume that they continued in their state in the sea, whereas all, but the specified land & flying animals that went into the Ark, perished.
alex1939...Hiya Cathy..If you are refering to Levi one of the evil Bro. of Joseph...Gen.37:18 kjv...They were forgiven..But he was in that gang that sold his Bro. Joseph into slavery...And told his Mother and Father he had not seen him (Joseph his 17 yrs old bro.) Then to add insult to injury they brought Joseph's Coat to Jacob and ask is this your son's coat ? ...They had dipped it in the blood of a goat and Jacob said a wild beast has done this and he was right the wild beast is the ten that were born of the will of the flesh...Not of the will of Jacob who only loved Rachel...Only 2 came out of the relationship with Rachel whom he loved dearly....Joseph and Benjamin who were said to be born of the Spirit...As Joseph was a type of Christ that was sold for 20 pieces of silver...But what they meant for evil God meant for good...That millions wd be saved from this horrible famine.
.....But Joseph means adding a son and Benjamin was the added Son in the flesh ...But being Joseph was a type of Christ in over 100 ways thus there has to be a Son added to Jesus...In the Spiritual realm ...Which is the H.G. that Child of Promise...Whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receiveth me...She brought forth a man child that is gonna rule all nations with a rod of iron...And Jesus is the Bridegroom...The Kingdom does not come till the woman births the manchild the H.G. That added son...k Gbu
I'm wondering if you have been reading Genesis chapter 34 perhaps . We see in this chapter , problems occuring when the father's of the nation of Israel meet the rest of the world . Just from memory , I believe these incidents occurred before Israel was definatively told not to marry out of its own tribe . The men of Shechem were prepared to be circumcised but because one of them had enticed Dinah and slept with her , Simeon and Levi were not prepared to let that go .Their reaction and behaviour might seem a little harsh . Jacob was certainly annoyed at them but only because he was afraid that when the rest of the people around them heard about this , they might turn on his family and kill them . We don't hear anything about how God felt about Simeon and Levi's actions but at the beginning of chapter 35 God instructs Jacob to move his family to Bethel , out of harm's way perhaps ? Maybe it wasn't God's will for the Israelites to marry into the people of Shechem even if they had agreed to be circumcised ? As I said , we don't hear God's reaction to these events , other than He tells Jacob to move his family away from that area . God uses whomever He wants to to execute His will . They don't have to believe in Him to be used by Him in order to fulfill His purpose . I suspect that it was not God's will for Israel and Shechem to intermarry , I could be wrong about that but I feel that if it had been His will then it would have happened . Humans can not hinder God's plans and purpose . His will be done , by whatever means , He is in charge .
Hi Cathy. There are several men named Levi in the Bible ( Genesis 29:34; Mark 2:14; Luke 3:24; Luke 3:29), but I think you are referring to one of Jacob's sons. Nothing more is given about this Levi, but much is spoken about those who descended from him. One important portion of Scripture is in Deuteronomy 33:8-11, where Moses, before he died, gave his special blessings to each of Jacob's sons, & specifically to Levi in this passage. So, we can assume that Levi was a God-fearing man & brought up his children in like manner; though there were sins committed among certain of them.
Gigi, curious how you interpret these verses. Jeremiah 19:5 "They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:" Jeremiah 32:35 "And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin." Genesis 6:6 "And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart."
Go back read Genesis 6:11 - 22 where Gods makes a covenant with Noah and his family and tells him to bring aboard the ark two of every flesh/sort male and female . are the wicked a sort ? How about People of color ? is it possible man was already on earth and populated it before Adam ? is it suggested in the beginning God made the races on the fifth day of creation both male and female ? is a thousand yours on earth just a day to God ? I have read where they do suggest . and Noah brought aboard two of every race color and creed .
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
That's ok if you perceive the idea of God creating other intelligent life as being inconsistent with Genesis. It does seem from Genesis that its focused on just earth and heavens. Whether the heavens means the entire universe (everything God created) I don't know. So, I understand your viewpoint because I felt the same way. I don't have the same stumbling block as what you're presenting though in regards to multiple saviors and how that seems improbable. It's a strange idea indeed. But if there's evidence of other life it no longer seems as improbable.
There already have been alien-type creatures on earth before- remember the Giants the Bible talks about. Some call them nephilim Genesis 6:4. A possible hybrid of either demons or angels coming to earth and reproducing. They weren't 100% human, and one could say they're in a sense from another world and basically an alien-being to us. So, did Jesus die for them too? Did Jesus die for angels already in heaven?
Not sure if you're aware of the large unexplained crop circles in south America or not. It would be incorrect to say there's no evidence of such phenomenon.
If there's evidence that God created more intelligent life besides human beings then I can accept and don't feel threatened by that- I don't see that changing my Christian walk or values. I think humans are only allowed to see and comprehend a very narrow sliver of God and His creation. Colossians 2:2-3. There is a lot more than we understand. So, in heaven I think we'll be blown away to see a fuller view of His power and glory and what He's done. God bless.
Whatever the cause of such insanity; likely direct DNA manipulation from the mark of the beast much like the corruption when the "sons of god" had relations with women in Genesis and had offspring ( Genesis 6:2) and/or the mind control from the image of the beast somehow directed by some virtual reality it is clear that once man starts to attempt to band together to fight God it is a hopeless situation. Once again; however Satan's masterpiece of authority over the earth runs the course determined by God and no doubt there is no love lost when Satan is cast into the bottomless pit the same time the Beast and False Prophet are tossed into the fire. Satan's character won't change in the whole 1000 years imprisoned as he will attempt one more worldwide rebellion after the Millennium.
His power; of course is in willing subjects. There are many today who may acknowledge that they are sinners; but not that Satan is their master. There no doubt are some dedicated Satanists who are determined that they will soon fight Christ and God. They probably will have some deluded concept that they succeeded in killing Christ the first time and deny His indestructible Resurrection and somehow think they can now succeed in destroying an Omnipresent; Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
God takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked ( Ezek. 33:11). In this case; however the madness of their folly is laughed at. They are beyond any fear at this point; totally controlled by Satan. He who destroyed cities and made the world a wilderness ( Isaiah 14:17) is now cast out of his grave (Antichrist here; who is not given honor of a burial and verse 21 talks about the slaughter of his children (likely those at Armageddon). Satan is burned up before the earth later as well ( Ezekiel 28:18). Many other scriptures talk of Armageddon as well.
Verses 10 to 11 may be talking about rulers that survive physically into the Millennium and or the saints of God who rule
Hello Andrew. Further to T. Levis list of Scriptures given for your consideration, Genesis 5:28-32 specifically details Noah's father & Noah's sons. Noah wasn't of angelic origin but clearly had a human ancestry.
Why did GOD destroy the earth except Noah & his family = reply : Genesis 6:5,6,7,8,
Please read again Genesis 6, look back to Genesis 4:26, Genesis 5, Job 1:5,6, Job 1:20-22 continues to Job 2:1, John 1:12, Romans 8:14, Philippians 2:15, Hebrews 1:4,5,6,7
Angels aren't Sons of GOD 1Corinthians 6:3,
In KJV 1611 Tobit 3, Tobit 7, Tobit 12, are the only thing even close & there was not what you stated in these scriptures. Mark 12:25, notice the scriptures here are relevant to Tobit; Mark 12:18-25,
Why did God's sons Angels took women and bore children and God destroy all of them except Noah family. ? Is there any proof text that Noah family was not from Angel generation?
I grew up in the 60's and 70's with the big push to explore space. I remember the moon landing and am amazed by the pictures we receive from telescopes from crafts launched into outer space.
But with this as part of my life's experience, I just feel deep down that God gave us earth to live upon. It is where He reveals Himself and works with mankind, not outer space. I think of the billions of dollars spent on the space programs, and consider how much good we could have done on earth for those in need with these resources. I am sure that we may have some benefits from exploring space, but I don't know if what we have benefited outweighs the detriment. I guess I just don't think that God ever wanted us to bring anything from space to earth, nor for man to go into space.
I know that our inquisitiveness and intellect are good things bestowed on us from God. Yet, the fallenness of mankind has corrupted these abilities to an immense depth of depravity, as it says in Genesis 6:5-6 of unredeemed human nature: the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his hearts was only continually evil." ."
And in Genesis 11: 6 the LORD says that "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do, now nothing that they propose will be withhold from them." (Meaning that whatever they can think of to do they can accomplish it.)
So, our exploration of space is really from an unredeemed standpoint. What are we trying to prove or discover, really? If man is really trying to prove the existence of God by space exploration, they won't discover that since man does not believe what God has already revealed about Himself in our history and Scripture. Are the scientists that are working on this exploration Christian believers influenced by Christian thought? If not, then their endeavors are evil, just like at Babel. I think that instead of trying to satisfy a curiosity of "what is out there"
There was a 2nd influx Genesis 6:4 There were Nephilim in the earth in the days of Noah; (after) their destruction by the Flood, as well as (before) it, when the angels came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
I'm not sure if your question was about GOD or man. I will try my best to answer it. Ironically " ambiguous " meaning double meaning._._
I think that GOD's WORD the Bible is clear, when we study, & pray for wisdom. James 1:5,
1st GOD gave people dominion: Genesis 1:26,27,28, = power, dominion ect. Within 2nd Generation & continued; 1st crime: Genesis 4:6-9, & Genesis 4:23, dominion with disregard for others, even anothers very life. Genesis 6:5, Exodus 1:8,13,16,22, even disregard for life of children
Even then though GOD doesn't disregard HE repayed. Exodus 12:29, Exodus 13:15, notice the whole chapter of Exodus 12, points to John 3:15,16,17, Again people with dominion & power disregarding life of innocent: Luke 22:1,2,7,20,54,63,64, continued; Luke 23:1,2,15,21,33,34,
Also: they killed their own children, Leviticus 18:21, Leviticus 20:1-8, that GOD had destroyed nations for that sin! 1Kings 11:7, 2Kings 23:10,
Jeremiah 32:35, ( how? ) it's unimaginable even to GOD ALMIGHTY ! Jeremiah 7:31, Jeremiah 19:5, 2Chronicles 33:9, 1Kings 11:1-12, Deuteronomy 6:14, Deuteronomy 7:1-8, why? Was it because they destroyed the children, had disregard for innocent lives of their own offspring? Images of GOD
Psalms 82:6, in context Psalms 82,
GOD will Judge: Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 18:5,6,10,14, Matthew 19:14, Mark 9:42, Luke 17:2, 2Peter 2:7-9, Psalms 9:7,
If your question is regarding "us" "believers" Luke 12:32, Revelation 21,
There will be suffering here on Earth but promises to those who endure, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Revelation 10, 2Timothy 2:3, Revelation 6:9-11,
Dear "Fannie Cross-Sullivan", in peace. We learn it because we must have hope. Our hope is that Jesus Christ, who conquered death, we will also go there. Where Jesus are. We shall not see death.
If you imagine a person who is sick, for example, and is about to die. As we say here on earth. This person belive in Jesus Christ and has repented from a destructive life, to faith in Jesus Christ. If Iinow immediately give you a different picture of death, but then without God. Can you see the difference here? We humans are a detriment to ourselves, we have been from the very beginning. Now it has become worse.
So God the Father Himself had to change everything when He make Heaven and earth, because of man. Remember He repented of it. Genesis 6:6
The day you are referring to will be a terrible day, everyone should know what a fire can do.
This is how it is that we believe in God the Father and in His Son Jesus Christ, then our life will be filled with hope for Life itself. We shall live even if we lay down our mortal body. Matthew 24:35 The best example is found in John 20:1-10 and the story of Lazarus when Jesus raises Him from the dead after he had lain dead for several days. John 11
The day that will come when the firmament and the mountains will crumble. When God will put everything in order again, this time there will be no regrets, but Perfection. That is what Christ Jesus did. But as we know, everything takes time.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Jesus does not wish us harm, He loved us with divine love. believe in Him for your own sake. Fear is cast out when you are with Jesus Christ. Only love will keep you alive that day. God's Word and faith in Jesus. Hebrew 4:12-13 But we stick to Jesus. He fills us with peace, so that we all survive the day. I belive that from the bottom of my heart.
Hope this help u, remember to always go to Jesus if u have a problem, He will sort everything out for u in His time, Amen. Jesus loves u i love u in Christ

Mark 12:25, notice the scriptures here are relevant to Tobit; Mark 12:18-25,
Hopefully these are helpful
I think that instead of trying to satisfy a curiosity of "what is out there"
I'm not sure if your question was about GOD or man.
Psalms 82:6, in context Psalms 82,
GOD will Judge: Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 18:5,6,10,14, Matthew 19:14, Mark 9:42, Luke 17:2, 2Peter 2:7-9, Psalms 9:7,
If your question is regarding "us" "believers" Luke 12:32, Revelation 21,
There will be suffering here on Earth but promises to those who endure, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Revelation 10, 2Timothy 2:3, Revelation 6:9-11,
Hopefully these are helpful
