But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. ( Hebrews 2:9-12)
Have you noticed how close God is to you? He is waiting while your struggles from the dark side come upon you. Like me l have learned to take one day at a time. Trying to hear God when He leads me toward a person or situation of a need. I walk into the conflict for others as this world sees it...and l use God's way of solving it. Putting the whole armor on, l let God solve the problems thru me. What a sad world this has become. The darkness over whelms others that do not see the Light of God. The more you have been thru in your life-- the more of a fighter for others-- as Jesus was in His days, you are in these days. The Heavens are real. I have seen them in an after death. The Book of Life is real....everything the Bible has shown in the writings from long ago is ALL REAL!!! GO TO YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. PRAISE HIM!!!!! UNTIL THE DAY HE RETURNS!!!!!
Reply to Greg . Know Ye not that We are the temples of God and His Spirit dwells within us. Verily verily I say unto thee, unless a man be born of Water and Spirit he can not ENTER the Kingdom of God. In my Father's house are many mansions ( enter the Kingdom into my Father's house) I go to prepare a place for you ( He has gone and He prepares our hearts ...now.) so that where I am you may be also . Acknowledge Him and He does direct our paths. See Lazarus, He did not conform to the world. He did not have worldly possessions. He did no works. He sat, He called upon the name of the Lord and He was still and knew that Our Lord is God, He suffered , He was mocked and pushed aside. Much to be seen in the Lazarus. John the Baptist said I must decrease and He must increase ....indeed self must be denied to the death . Penalty of sin is death....all flesh must die! But...Jesus is the ressurection of Life. He enters His chosen in ...Now. Death has lost its sting. There is nothing that can separate us from the Love of God. Yes brother. The church is the heart. If the oil ( His Spirit ) is full. He will see your light like a beacon set on a hill. Be the light that lights the dark places. Love by laying down your life for your friends. Our Lord is no man and no liar. What He has said He has fully performed . Love and Peace Is with you always into forever
Please remember that the sons of God have come for the pulling down of this world's 'Strongholds', religion being the strongest of them all ( 2 Cor. 10:4; Luke 11:21-23).
When it comes to the Medical Profession, please know that the believers live by faith, as the true and living God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob is their guide in all things. Remember how God took care of a host of 2m people for forty years. He fed them and provided them with water and other essentials. Even their shoes and garments didn't wear out. Also remember that out of the original group that crossed the Red Sea only Joshua & Caleb crossed the Jordan River. All the rest died in the wilderness, while only the new generation crossed the Jordan.
Rather than speaking from personal experience, we believe that the most effective way to be taught and to come to the understanding of 'The Chastening of the Lord' is by the Word of God itself
Comments by Alex on this Hebrews 2 v 10 on bringing many Sons into GLORY. This scripture is so powerful after you understand it. It should be connected to Mat 13 the sower and his seed that is gonna bring many sons into GLORY. Actually Jesus was born to be multiplied as the stars of heaven, scripture says he was the 1st born of many brethren, That was the great Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven. Just as Issac was the 1st born of many brethren ( the promise ) Christ is also the 1st born of many brethren in the spritual realm remember Jesus said that which is born of the spriit is SPIRIT which is the H.G. the child of PROMISE there has to be an Israel of God just like there was a natural Israel . The sower and his precious seed is the Word thus a Spritual Birth of Christ in us the Son of Man our fruit unto God an ISRAEL OF GOD BORN IN OUR HEARTS A NEW INNERMAN our new heart and new spirit. Thats y the scripture is saying the H.G was not YET given till Christ was glorified meaning when he will go forth to sow his seed in our hearts which will bring many sons into GLORY, Behold me and the Children the Lord has given me, his children the H.G. plural YA GOTTA REMEMEBER CHRIST WAS BORN TO BRING MANY SONS INTO GLORY ( GLORFICATION IS WHEN THE H.G. was given ) The H.G IS ANOTHER CHRIST BORN IN US. The child of PROMISE .Thats y we have rev. 12 the woman is bringing many sons into Glory, Her child is the multiplication of Jesus, she was impregnated by his Word that good seed the resulted from of hearing and understanding his Words the contents of the book. Just as Abraham was multiplied as the sands of the seas Christ is gonna be multiplied as the stars of heaven resulting in an ISRAEL OF GOD. The bringing in of many sons that are gonna be born in our hearts Ya gotta realize that John refers to the children th manchild as the kingdom of God and salvation is now come etc. Jesus was born to bring many sons into GLORY, when a seed dies it multutiplies.
I agree, but don't let those with a small town mentality bully you off. People like you are welcomed because there is hardly any place left that is safe and respectful for true disciples and new believers to discuss anything without the weedy tares acting territorial
Good evening Greg, My wife and young son went into the wilderness today to see some absolutely beautiful waterfalls created by our great God. Regarding sinners I think you understand that a death sentence was placed upon Adam and Eve and their children. Thus our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. My life had to be sacrificed by faith and repentance outside of the gate like Jesus. Fully believing this was so, like many, I could enter through the torn veil without fear and find my new life in the Mercy Seat where Jesus covers my sins. To continue to willing sin I would be again an unbeliever, but His grace is sufficient. I remain until the end of this life a sinner saved by grace and am assured of this position by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which comforts me when I do well and reproves me when I error.
It seems some of your concerns are outside of the believer's Kingdom (which I refer to as His Church). I love my neighbor as I understand my own unrighteousness and unworthiness. I pray for those who are at fault with the laws of their respective lands that they can repent and find grace with God and man. But for their punishment I leave it to the magistrate. As Christians we are likely the most accountable to the laws of the land because we were bought for a price and do not want to ever devalue the work of Jesus at Calvary.
1 Corinthians 15:47
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Do we as Christians not want to be more like Him at any cost?
I am NOT going to argue with any Catholics today or any other day. We all stand accountable to God for any choices that we make. It's a personal, one on one kind of accountability. Just you and Jesus at the Bema Seat.
As is: I do not see the fruit of what is written in 1 Corinthians 13, in some of the comments being made. Where's the Love?
I agree that Jesus is the way to everlasting life.
I am not sure what you mean by a "condemned to death sinner" being "protected by the Law" by "putting themselves in the Mercy Seat of Christ."
I don't want to live in a society that allows murderers to be justified in the Law because they have decided to be "brave enough" to believe that the Law of God has been fulfilled through the blood of Christ and therefore we do not need to be under it anymore.
Faith in Jesus does not free people from the consequences of sin.
Murderers are to be dispatched back to God.
Forgiveness is up to the one offended, not the offender; and it is based on repentance.
The Law is there for us to follow.
Again, I will state that only Jesus did not NEED the Law.
He was Perfect.
The rest of us need the Law.
Concerning the "Bride:"
I don't believe that the collective Christian churches are the Bride of Christ.
The Bride is Jerusalem that God took to wife ( Ezekiel 16:8), and SHE will be renewed and called "New Jerusalem" ( Revelation 3:12, 21:2)
We as Christians make up the collective "body" of Christ ( Ephesians 1:23, 5:23, Colossians 1:18, 24, etc..)
Hi Greg, Jesus made a way for a condemned to death sinner to be protected from the laws requirements by the same putting themselves in the Mercy seat of Christ that covers the Law. That Mercy seat has been fulfilled, and those brave enough to enter in by faith and place themselves in that seat are covered and will not know death eternal but life eternal like Lazarus the poor man. When Jesus paid with his water and his blood for our sins on the Cross, then verses 17 & 18 in in Matthew Chapter 5 come to Life. Jesus has one more work so to speak, to come for His Bride, then there will be the consummation and all will be in all. No one on earth even a born again sinner can justify themselves as living by the commandments in fullness. I think we all know that if we are honest in our hearts. Thankfully we have Jesus Christ, God's Son and his Holy Spirit to lead the born again believer to the consummation in Heaven.
I agree that we as believers can freely rest and be justified in God's commandments and enter into the Rest that is given through the grace of Jesus Christ.
You say "Jesus came to fulfill the commandments"?
I disagree.
Jesus came to fulfill the "law" ( Luke 24:44).
One "jot"or one tittle" of the LAW will not pass until ALL is fulfilled ( Matthew 5:18)
These are powerful words from Jesus that should not be dismissed or overlooked. ALL has not been fulfilled yet, therefore the LAW still stands.
Love is the fulfilling of the LAW ( Romans 13:10)
That means that the LAW is still in effect.
Only ONE person that ever walked the earth did not NEED the LAW.
The rest of us need repentance every day, because we break the law every day.
The death and resurrection of Jesus fulfilled blood and other certain ORDINANCES of the Law, but did not abolish the LAW itself.
How can we "rest" in His commandments when we break them?
Our rest comes through faith in our repentance and His promise of forgiveness and a new standing in Him from that.
How Satan lost the Keys to Jesus - In Reply on John 3 - 5 years ago
Very briefly: When Adam sinned by eating the fruit and was banned from the Garden; he lost the mandate that he had been charged with by God. Satan stole the keys.
You see satan in Job 1, bragging.
When Jesus came out of the grave, He went and got the keys back from Satan. He preached to the captives in hell and led them all out; took them through the streets so all could see.
Revelation 1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
I don't call that mocking. You did, didn't you? Mocking and accusing is a fruit: attributes of Satan. Exactly like what he was doing in Job 1.
Jesus legally took all that power away from Satan when He went to the Cross. John 3:16 < link
Satan didn't know what was really happening or he would have stopped the trial and the crucifixion. He didn't read the scrolls that were being written. He must've forgotten about the prophesy God spoke to him in Genesis 3:14-15. Hebrews 2:14
Romans 16:20, 1 John 3:8
His time is short and he knows he is going to be cast into hell. That's why there is so much spiritual warfare in our world now.
Ephesians 6. Satan is sending his evil angels out into the world to kill as many humans as he can by accident, illness, pandemics, depression, suicide, drugs and alcohol; even riots in streets = where demons will seek to enter inside of unaware humans.
2 Timothy 3:13, evil will wax worse and worse!! It's not ever going to go back to normal.
After the Rapture (Caught Up), it will be this bad times 10. After Antichrist finishes pretending to be Mr. Fix-Everything that's wrong with the world ....all hell will break loose on earth. All prophesy.
You should switch sides now and hang with Jesus. He's going to be moving real fast.
The everlasting Law God established with those that desire to be called His children still stands.
The 10 Commandments still stand.
Any time we sin we are under the Law.
Everyone sins: Everyday!
Blood ordinances were fulfilled by the death of Christ ( Matthew 26:28, Romans 2:29, Colossians 1:14)
Priestly duties connected to the sons of Aaron were fulfilled in Christ. ( Hebrews 8:1)
The Temple was destroyed; as promised: ( Matthew 24:2)
Deuteronomy 29:29
"The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children FOR EVER, that we may do all the words of this law."
1 Chronicles 16:17
"And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an EVERLASTING covenant,"
Ephesians 2:15
"Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;"
Hebrews 7:12
"For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law."
Matthew 27:51
"And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;"
All has not been fulfilled.
All will not be fulfilled until the return of Christ.
Believe the words of Jesus.
Mathew 5:18
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Concerning works;
Why would Jesus care to evaluate the WORKS of the churches that are on earth at the end times when He comes back if they don't matter? ( Revelation 2:2, 9, 13, 19. 3:1, 3:8, 3:15)
Unless one keeps the Sabbath, the same may not be keeping the commandments. And if one is not able to keep the commandments then the Law requires death.
For this reason Jesus came to fulfill the commandments and enter into His rest. Those that are born again by Faith in His works may also enter into the Holy of Holies and be seated in His Mercy Seat that covers the Law.
We can rest in His commandments, all of them, in love and in faith as God looks upon His reconciled Lamb's account that we by His Justification can live in. Thus the born again believer can have eternal life in comfort like Lazarus the poor man.
And we can gather with brethren of the like, precious faith whenever we can, by His grace and worship freely in Spirit and Truth.
WHY DO PEOPLE FOLLOW SUNDAY RATHER THAN THE 7TH DAY?
Because they have been indoctrinated into the various religions and refuse the 10 Commandments.
They use the day Christ rose as the reason to change the day even though no instructions were left for us to follow in that manner.
They use the Apostles meeting on the first day of the week to authorize the change (even though Paul continually taught in the Synagogues ON THE SABBATH well after Christ had risen).
Because these days it is easier to follow Sunday and not the 7th day.
The Apostle Paul quoted this passage in 1 Corinthians 15:27. Paul quoted it in much the same way that the writer of Hebrews did in Hebrews 2:5-9, showing that this promise of dominion is now only incompletely fulfilled among men. Yet it will be ultimately fulfilled in Jesus, the ultimate Man, and will be one day also completely fulfilled in His resurrected followers. In light of all this, it is a great tragedy when a man is captured and held in bondage by the things of this world. We were born to have dominion over such material things, instead of being in bondage to them. O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth: When David thought about how vast a dominion God had given to man, it made him praise God all over again. That this humble creature - humble in light of the majesty of the universe, humble in light of its present standing under angelic beings - should be given such authority is a demonstration of both the excellence and the goodness of God.
For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, (even) Jesus Christ. Adam's sin has allowed death to "reign" over the human race. We face physical and spiritual death because of sin. We may say that at the present time death is king of the hill ( Hebrews 2:15) for all who are not Christians. Death ceases to be king for those who become Christians because the saved "reign in life through Jesus Christ." Those who are in Christ are able to overcome the spiritual consequences of sin, and they overcome physical death in the sense that they will be raised to inherit eternal life. Death is no longer an unbeatable enemy. It may win a battle when it claims our life, but it will not defeat the Christian in the war for the soul. For information on the word "trespasses" (paraptoma), see the commentary on verse16. Concerning the word reign (basileuo), this same term is used of an earthly ruler in Matthew 2:22, sin ( Romans 6:12), and Jesus Himself ( 1 Corinthians 15:25). It is also found in verse21. Here, it is used twice, and its dual use shows that the reign of death can be defeated if we accept the reign offered by Christ. Describing God's grace as "abundant" (perisseia) caused Paul to use a term found only here, 2 Corinthians 8:2; 2 Corinthians 10:15; James 1:21. In each of these places it refers "to something above or beyond the normal. It suggests 'the element of excess and fullness that overflows the set bounds. In this process of overflowing, the existing standards and rules are transcended and what was comparable becomes incomparable'" (CBL, GED, 5:160). We have access to God's grace right now because "receiving" is a present tense verb. Notice too that our ability to overcome the consequences of sin is only possible "through" (ASV) or "by" (KJV) Christ. This is absolutely consistent with other verses like John 14:6.
A foundational aspect which I find myself defending (as the minority position) is the debate between Law vs. Grace as well as Works vs. Grace.
I find myself in the position of believing that we are in need of the Law. We are also in need of Works. And most of all, we are in need of the Grace given to us through faith in Jesus Christ.
I will give my opinion based upon your alphabetic structure
a) I believe that we are ALL "God's "elect,"
Israel is "elect" for all the reasons you mention.
Christians are "elect" because Scripture says so ( Colossians 3:12, 1 Thessalonians 1:4).
b) I agree, and will add that God NEVER intended or believed Israel could fulfill the Law. The Law was given to Israel (and all who cared to follow) for proper ceremonial worship, and for guidance, and for correction.
c) I agree and will add that Jesus not only fulfilled the Law perfectly as a Jew, but also as a man.
d) While I can (partially) agree with you that Christ came to fulfill the Law (of ordinances, i.e. blood sacrifice, not the entire Law), I believe that the MAIN REASON Jesus was promised by God to all of mankind can be found all the way back in Genesis 3:15. At that particular point in time, Adam and Eve were the only two people on the planet to have partaken in sin.
God knew that Israel would backslide. That is why the Savior was promised right from the beginning of the fall of man, thousands of years before the nation of Israel ever existed.
The promise of Genesis 3:15, however, has to do with the DEATH of Jesus, and the result of His crucifixion can be found in Hebrews 2:14.
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"
That is the PRIMARY reason Jesus was promised, and is the (partial) fulfillment of that promise of Genesis 3:15; partial because Satan is not dead yet.
I read verses such as 2 Peter 3:17 which directly states
"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things BEFORE, BEWARE lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, FALL from your own stedfastness."
And, to use your verse pointed out; "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" ( Philippians 2:12): Why would Paul say this to his followers if he did not mean it?
So then; "Let us "Study to show ourselves approved unto God ( 2 Timothy 2:15) and "LABOUR therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" ( Hebrews 4:11).
The clothes that we wear in heaven can be seen from Revelation 19:8; as the clothes (white robes that WE have washed) put on there are woven from the righteous acts we perform here on earth.
My point concerning death is simply that when we die our body returns to dust and our spirit returns to God. I don't believe that anyone in heaven that is with the Father (on the right side of the gulf) is walking around without any garments on.
If we believe Christ rose, then so does everyone else that dies.
Matthew 27:52-53 was a onetime event to show to all living at that time that Christ defeated death (look at 1 Corinthians 15:54-55, Hebrews 2:14).
Please remember that the sons of God have come for the pulling down of this world's 'Strongholds', religion being the strongest of them all ( 2 Cor. 10:4; Luke 11:21-23).

Peter was married but left home to be a disciple of Jesus. His adult sons cared for their mother.
As is: I do not see the fruit of what is written in 1 Corinthians 13, in some of the comments being made. Where's the Love?
Christian patience, tolerance, long-suffering?
Let us all remember that today.
I agree that Jesus is the way to everlasting life.

Hebrews chapter 4 explains our rest (ceasing from our own works and resting in Jesus Christ). Today is the day of salvation.
Your Question.
Afraid of change.
Many reasons. None Biblical!
Great feedback as always:

Death is another name used for Satan.
