Discuss Isaiah 40

    Amen Brother Chris!!

There's those in the OT that passed on that is not considered part of the new covenant and is not part of Christ Church.

They were saved by faith but under the old covenant and rituals that pointed to their Messiah's finish work on the cross freeing them from the bondage that held them captive.

The difference between Israel and the rest of the world was that they were heirs of the land, Davidic and Kingdom promises to Abraham.

(Not to be mistaken for the recipient of the promises shown mentioned in Galatians 3:29 referring to Christ.)

However we all should know there's no entering into the presence of God without the door. John 10:9. That goes for all ages.

These specific promises is after the Gathering of the Gentiles into the body of Christ. "The Church" as shown in Acts 15:14-16

"Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

"AFTER THIS" I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

The old testament prophets prophesied about the gather of Israel, (Post Church) and the Davidic Kingdom.

    References-

    Romans 11:25-26.

    Romans 9:25-26 echoing Hosea 2:23.

    Isaiah 40:9

    Joel 2:3-32.

    Isaiah 11:11-12.

The Lord calls Zion(Israel) his people several times in these verses.

..2:18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity HIS PEOPLE.

In Isaiah 11:11 the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people.

This is not the Church but a people and elect of God for the purpose of God!

    Blessings Brother!

    (Hebrews Part 41):

Hebrews 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

The term giving thanks, giving is a Present Participle, confessing praise and thanks to His name. God says I don't want animal sacrifices. I want the sacrifice of praise and thanks. And again, that's not something to be practiced. He's after our heart, that no matter what is going on, we praise Him and thank Him because we know it's from Him. If we complain and murmur, then we are complaining against God!

Hebrews 13:18 - Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

He says Pray for us. That's a Present Imperative. Imperative is a command. Continue to pray for us.

The reason: For we trust we have a good conscience, and this is based on the fact that we have a clear good conscience before God, therefore pray for us in all things willing to live honestly.

Hebrews 13:20 - Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Now may the God of peace, because the main verb is not until we get down to Verse 21. And it's an Optative mood which means it's a wish. So, we could put the word may in here. Now may the God of peace, concerning prayer, power, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus. He's the God of peace, and He raised up Jesus from the dead.

Concerning His position: That great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant. All of these scripture references in the Old Testament, as well as in the New Testament, say that Jesus is the great shepherd of the sheep: Psalm 23, Isaiah 63:11, Isaiah 40:11, Ezekiel 34:23, John 10:11, 1 Peter 2:25, and 1 Peter 5:4.

All of this was to lead up to the verb.

    Never a dull moment.

Today as I speak there are 19 Tornado warnings and nearly as many severe thunderstorm warnings. Worse; this is supposed to be an unprecedented 5 day event. We have had in the last week or so a 7.0 earthquake in Tonga and the 7.7 in Myanmar.

The wars continue along with rumors of new conflicts that our country is likely to be involved with.

No doubt Christian persecution is still going on; we have seen in recent months the continuing problems in N.E. Nigeria and last month in Syria with martyrdom large scale.

Along with this there is the constant spiritual battle with the world; flesh and the Devil. We need to "buffet ourselves" ( 1 Cor. 9:27) to continue to stay in the fight and endure until the end. I have always said we can learn some things from our enemy: here is a quick review.

He never rests day or night; that is implied by 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Interesting the verses that talk about never sleeping day or night actually refer to God such as in Psalm 121:4 and Isaiah 40:28 but Proverbs 4:16 talks about how evil men cannot sleep without doing evil.

He along with all the other demons know who Christ is and His authority ( James 2:19). Satan obviously is aware of this through His heavenly councils with angels and God as seen in Job 1 and 2. He knows that Christ has the power to turn stones into bread; as well as calling angels to His help as Satan quoted Psalm 91:11:12.

He has His own heirarchy or Kingdom (see Luke 11:18; Ephesians 6:12).

His goal has been consistent since His fall and the beginning of human history ( John 8:44).

I am sure we could find other passages in this vein. Ultimately God causes all good and evil ( Isaiah 45:7). All things are according to His purposes; just as Christ was exalted after His suffering so we shall be and rewarded if we persevere.

    (see Hebrews 11:6).

    Fight the good fight.

    Hello Fuji

There are many verses in the Bible that show the human nature of Jesus. But also there are many verses that show the divine nature of Jesus. Some of them are many parts of John's gospel (especially the begining) such as John 1:30, John 2:19, John 3:13, John 8:58-59, John 10:30-33, John 14:9-10, John 14:23, John 20:28, Acts 20:28, Titus 2:13, 2 Peter 1:1, Hebrews 1:8, Matthew 1:22-23, 1 Cor 10:9, Isaiah 40:3, Malachi 3:1, Zechariah 11:12-13, Romans 9:1-5, and many other that I can not recall now. Jesus also accepted people to kneel infront of Him, something that is only permitted for God. Also compare Psalms 102:25-27 where it talks about God to Hebrews 1:10 where it talks about Jesus. Also compare Joel 3:5 to Acts 9:13. Compare Jeremiah 17:9 to Rev 2:23, etc.

So we have two kinds of scripture. One says that Jesus is human, the other says that Jesus is God. So what do we make out of these two? The obvious, that Jesus is the God, one person of the Godhead, who became man.

Lets think it in another way. We know that God loved people so much so that He sacrificed His own son for us. Now lets use another example. Suppose I love my brother and want to help Him. and the only way to help him is to give my own life for him. How does it seem to you that I would sacrifice instead of my own life, my son's life for Him to help Him? Why my son? And not myself? The most sensible thing is that I would sacrifice my own life for him, not somebody's else. That would be very egoistic. Somebody else to suffer for my intention to help somebody that I love? I think you can understand what I trying to say. So what did God do? He sacrificed Himself for us, one person out of the Godhead took on Him our nature, became a man and gave His life for us. So it is God's love that attracts people to Him. It wouldn't be love if He sacrificed somebody else, an innocent person's life, for his intention to save us. I hope I haven't done it so complicated to understand. GBU

    Part II__

    Slipped out of Chair11/28/24

Hating that I had to disturb them at this time of the night and feeling sorry for myself, I started to cry.

I pulled my coat sweater over my head and sat there on the floor until my Middle son came and helped me get up.

We both laughed as he pulled me up. I said that I was sorry to bother him at that hour, but I couldn't get up on my own. He was glad that I was alright. I thanked him for his kindness. I thank the Lord that I didn't break anything when I fell.

I was not hurt. I had no pain afterward either. My body didn't even get sore. The Lord took care of me. Praise the Lord. God is good.

As the days come and go, may the Good Lord honor and strengthen all the sons and daughters for their kindness and hard work, taking care of us.

Being good children, grant them Grace and Mercy for doing the best they can to provide the proper care for us. I am truly grateful.

    Isaiah 40:29

"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."

    CHRISTMAS BLESSING

    Isaiah 40:1-5

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

    Joel 2:11-14

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?

    Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

    Hey Oseas,

Thanks again for your thoughtful reply! I really appreciate the depth of your insights and your commitment to finding the Truth.

    1. Earth's Age:

I totally get your skepticism about both the 6,000-year and 4.54 billion-year views. Science uses methods like radiometric dating to estimate the Earth's age, but it's always evolving. On the other hand, religious interpretations vary, with some seeing the creation story as symbolic. I think science explains "how" things work, while religion covers the "why."

    2. Isaiah 40:21-22 - The Circle of the Earth:

You mentioned Isaiah saying God "sits upon the circle of the earth." Whether that's literal or poetic, the key takeaway for me is that God's perspective is way bigger than ours-like we're tiny grasshoppers in comparison.

    3. John 17:4-5 - Jesus' Existence Before Creation:

Jesus' prayer about being glorified with the Father before the world began highlights His eternal nature. He was there from the start, making everything through Him ( John 1:3). It's a powerful reminder of His divine role in creation.

    4. John 1:18 - No One Has Seen God:

This verse points to Jesus as the way we understand God. Even though no one has seen God, Jesus, who is one with the Father, makes Him known to us. It shows how Jesus bridges the gap between us and the divine.

    5. The Search for Truth:

I agree with you that Truth is the most important thing. When Pilate asked "What is truth?" ( John 18:38), Jesus answered it in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." For me, that's the ultimate truth-everything else helps us get closer to understanding that.

Thanks again for the great discussion! I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.

God knows man, man doesn't now God, however we do know something about God (..."we know in part...) and a believer can learn more and more about God.

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding." Isaiah 40:28 KJV

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." Isaiah 55:8 KJV

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9 KJV

People might feel if a person knows us or gets us we should know them or get them, however, with God that does not apply, He created us...

God lets us know in His word that we should fear Him. Due to man's human condition or carnal nature we don't even realize that we need to fear the Lord.

"Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." Psalms 2:11 KJV

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23 KJV

"...I never knew you.." this scripture implies that souls are actually going to go before God thinking they knew Him and His ways and won't realize that until they actually transition and then will understand that they didn't God at all. (this let's us know we need God's help to learn about Him in our personal journey, and God can and will help us)

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, ... Isaiah 55:6 (also Psalms 27:4)

This is a learning way, "God created us in His image" when a believer accepts the Holy Spirit then a Christ mind can be developed in a believer, so that the believer can learn what God is requiring of that particular believer. A believer knows what they know about God because the Lord has provided the knowledge, wisdom and understanding, all our understanding comes from God. God loves us and wants man (whom God created to be like Him). It takes time to be holy.

GOD created the Universe, but He sat upon the circle of the Earth, yes, GOD created four heavens by His Word( Isaiah 51:16), i.e. the 1st, 2nd and 3rd heavens, and the heaven of the heavens, but He sat upon the circle of the Earth - Isaiah 40:22KJV also Nevi'im (Prophets) Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 40:22 - Hebrew Bible - :

22 It is He Who sits above the circle of the earth, and whose inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heaven like a curtain, and He spread them out like a tent to dwell in - Ephesians 1:3-8KJV: 3 Blessed be the GOD and Father of our Lord JESUS Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Now, in this current millennnium, two of the four heavens created by GOD through JESUS will be DISSOLVED(without JESUS was not any thing made that was made). In fact both heavens -the first and second heavens- will be BURNED with everlasting fire from now on- 2Peter 3:7 combined with Isaiah 33:14-15- , the Word is GOD- and the 3rd heaven will be established in this current millennium, that is the seventh and last millennium. And this 3rd heaven whose heavenly environment is described in Revelation 4 and 5 combined with Luke 20:35-36, among many other biblical references -come up hither-, the 3rd heaven, third heavenly spiritual place in Christ, the Kingdom of GOD- Revelation 11:15-18, it will last 1000 years. After this, I mean, ending this millennium, then will be established the heaven of the heavens for all Eternity - Revelation 20:7-15.Take a look.

    Get ready

May our Lord GOD bless and keep us, and give us His protection

    Amen

    Hi RedLady.

You stated; "all teachins have both a heavenly & literal meanin..

Ok, Here is what I said,

"We are to understand the Bible in its normal or plain meaning, UNLESS the passage is obviously intended to be symbolic or if figures of speech are employed.

I don't understand why you feel there is a disagreement so I won't get into that.

    You stated; "

biggest problem is the bible has been so altered & butchered no one knows the truth"

Do you believe that what was supposedly excluded from the Bible was all important?

Do you believe what is written must be absolute truth and the truth is vital for our salvation?

Do you believe God's word is important to him?

Do you believe there is any other way to know God outside his Word?

Do you believe God is omniscience?

Do you believe God is omnipotent?

If you answered yes to these last two questions then how can a worm such as humans thwart his all important message to those he loves by contaminating his word?

I think much more of him than that and he expects us to.

That's an insult to who he is!

Isaiah 40:6-8. "The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: BUT THE WORD OF OUR GOD SHALL STAND FOR EVER.

1 Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

I hold that to be truth.

Did God have to write to Moses and the Prophets?

G has no problem getting out his word, he made Balaam's donkey speak.

He can make a rock sing out.

    God bless.

Concluding thoughts end of church age (Part 2).

    2. Building towards the final piece of the puzzle. Eventually; everyone who will come to the Lord will be completed. Once we are called up to be with the Lord; of course the earth will be almost completely destroyed before being renewed. Our old church building and our old houses and all other man made structures will be crumbled; and nature itself will be transformed with every valley being exalted (See Isaiah 40:4-5).

    3. We shall enjoy fellowship with all the O.T. saints and N.T. saints after the Resurrection of the just. Thus; it will be the fruition of all of God's promises; both to the nation of Israel and all the nations; as well as of the church triumphant. It also will encompass all those who died in faith during the Tribulation; a countless multitude ( Rev. 7:9).

    4. When He returns; we can enjoy true peace and safety. I would imagine we will meet often outdoors; as well as of course yearly worshipping with the King in Jerusalem; whether in our new bodies or those who are in the Millennium who survive the Tribulation. ( Zech. 14:16 to end of chapter).

There is much to be said in these last days about preaching correct doctrine; and much can be gleaned from reading what the early church fathers; and those during the Reformation as well as more modern "heroes of the faith". It must be remembered though that all of us have sinned and therefore terms such as the Westminster Divines personally I find disturbing at best. There are things that can be said about Calvin and Luther and probably others that are disheartening to say the least as to their character. This is not to say that admirable examples aren't worth emulating; I would put Whitfield up there as he spend hours praying in tears before preaching in his revivals. Ultimately the Bible should be our standard; anything else should only be useful as a guide and any practices only as a spotlight on Christ and His life within us.

You're welcome,Andre4risca,I enjoyed a lot your post.I thank you very much for your kind and wise reply.I confess that I was very surprised and amazed by your response.

Yes,among theologians, and believers, followers of them, there is a conception the Planet Earth is around 6,000 years old, what is a false conception.

In the other hand, the scientific conception about the age of the Earth also is empiric,I would say the empiric conception of science on Earth's age is also false and a nonsense.

That said, what matters and prevails is the Truth.Once the two conceptions above described are wrong, both are good for nothing,I will not be brought under the power of any,I will not allow myself to be carried away by either, but where I will find the Truth? This reminds me of Pilate. What is Truth? For me what matters is the Truth, exclusively.

What I know is that JESUS' own testimony about Himself is wonderful, and reveals to us in depth the mystery of His existence in the greatness of the Universe created by GOD,the Word,GOD Father, full of heavenly bodies, and here on Earth, specifically,He populated the planet with living beings, and sat in the CIRCLE of the Earth,as is written in Isaiah 40:21-22:

21Have ye not known?have ye not heard?hath it not been told you from the beginning?have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

    22It is GOD that sits upon the CIRCLE of the Earth,and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;

I remember what JESUS said from His own existence: John 17:4-5,as follow:

4I have glorified thee-Father-on the earth:I have finished the work which thou gave me to do.( John 1:3 & 5:17,and Hebrews 1:1-2 testify about this that JESUS said.Take a look)

5And now,O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the WORLD was. John the Baptist, the angel of the LORD,testified about this, saying: John 1:18- No man hath seen GOD at any time, the only begotten Son,which is in the bosom of the Father,He has declared Him.

    Barring fruit.

    Part 2.

Staying intimately connected to the True Vine is the only way to "bear fruit in old age" ( Psalm 92:14), to "run and not grow weary" ( Isaiah 40:31), and to not "grow weary in well-doing" ( Galatians 6:9).

One counterfeit to bearing good fruit is pretense. We can become experts at the routines, the lingo, and "acting Christian," while experiencing no real power and bearing no eternal fruit. Our hearts remain self-centered, angry, and joyless even while we go through the motions of serving God. We can easily slip into the sin of the Pharisees of Jesus' day in judging ourselves by how we think we appear to others and neglecting that secret place of the heart where all good fruit germinates. When we love, desire, pursue, and fear the same things that the rest of the world does, we are not abiding in Christ, even though our lives may be filled with church-related activity.

And, often, we don't realize that we are living fruitless lives ( 1 John 2:15-17).

Our works will be tested by fire. Using a different metaphor than fruit,

1 Corinthians 3:12-15 says, "If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though only as one escaping through the flames."

God is the judge of even our thoughts and motivations. All will be brought to the light when we stand before Him ( Hebrews 4:12-13).

God knows what He has entrusted to each of us and what He expects us to do with it ( Luke 12:48). Our responsibility before God is to be "faithful with little" so that He can trust us with much ( Matthew 25:21).

    God bless.

Chris, my belief regarding JESUS sat at the right hand of the Father, it is not by your very poor testimony of Him, but by the Word of GOD, the Word is GOD Himself, GOD the Father, understand? Hebrews 1:1-3 among other biblical references.Take a look. The testimony of the Word -the Word is GOD - it is greater than yours, understand? Or isn't it?

You called God "(Theos); Father (Patter;Abba-more intimate); Lord(Kurios), well, by the Word of GOD, the Word is GOD, you are saying nothing, your testimony about GOD in your post is irrelevant, insignificant, it was not by the Spirit of Christ, and it was not by the Spirit of Truth and John 16:12-15 confirm / endorse what I am just saying. Unfortunately you keep snaking in devilish doctrines and tares sowed by the Wicked one. --> By the way, "It is GOD that sitteth upon the circle of the Earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers- Isaiah 40:22. Indeed, this revelation which GOD did give to Isaiah explains or suggests why there is not Life in whole Universe except in the Earth, I mean out of the Earth there is not in whole Universe the variety of Life that there is in the Earth, because GOD is sat upon the circle of the Earth.

To finish, you have cited in your posts the NAME of GOD as being the esoteric, and kabbalistic, and spiritist JEHOVAH, YAHWEH, YHWH, ADONAI, EL SHADAI, HaSHEM, so I quoted John 17:6 where my Lord JESUS in His prayer said to the Father that He had MANIFESTED His NAME to the MEN that He, GOD the Father, had given to Him, So I asked UNTO you: What is the GOD's NAME my Lord JESUS MANIFESTED to the men?

Now, now, from your knowledge you said here the names mentioned above are NAMES of GOD, so I wanted to know which of these NAMES of GOD my Lord JESUS would have manifested to the men? The question is mine, not yours, I'm waiting you response.

Be careful or else get ready

    Isaiah 40:31

Go and sit at His feet and ask Him to show you. I pray right now in the name of Jesus that the Lord would ignite some hope within you. That you would sit at His feet and let His love wash over you. Let the blood of Jesus wash away all YOUR sin, and renew your mind!

Wait, I say, upon the Lord. Sit at His feet and ask to drink from the cup in His hand. His will for you. He will show you. You might have to press in to Him. It might take some doing on your part. When you seek Him with all your heart you will find Him. Go into the Word and get a passage that encourages you and ride it like a surf board into the presence of the Lord God Almighty. Let the Word renew your mind.

You're not the only one who has felt like they were drowning in the deep waters of despair. So I lift you up in prayer this morning asking the Lord to touch you. In Jesus name!

With love, your sister in Christ.

You CAN make it and you CAN overcome.

I don't know how but I left letters out of Elohim three times.

The passages should have read as follows

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD Yehvh, make straight in the desert a highway for our "God/Elohim".

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before ME: AND THE LORD, WHOM YE SEEK, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD/Yehvh of hosts.

    And

    Isaiah 40:1-5

"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your "God / Elohim."

Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's/Yehvh hand double for all her sins.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD Yehvh, make straight in the desert a highway for our "God/Elohim".

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

And the glory of the LORD/Yehvh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD/Yehvh hath spoken it.

It's interesting that you have Yehvh, lhym, and dn 'dn being represented as the same individual in these passages and if you add Mark 1:1-4 Matthew 3:3 and John 1:14-29.

Jesus showed up as a member of the Elohim.

    Malachi 2:17-3:1

"Ye have wearied the LORD/Yehvh with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD/Yehvh, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God/lhym of judgment?

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before ME: AND THE LORD, WHOM YE SEEK, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD/Yehvh of hosts.

    Isaiah 40:1-5

"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God/lhym.

Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's/Yehvh hand double for all her sins.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD Yehvh, make straight in the desert a highway for our God/lhym.

You are confounding "Heavens" with Sky, for heavens are spiritual, sky is material. When Paul Apostle was caught to the third heaven, he did not make a travel to the space, to the sky, of course, as do the spaceman or the rockets. Your thinking is from a human perspective, a stumblingblock, not from GOD's perspective. By the way, when JESUS was born, He came from heaven, not from the Sky, from the space, understand? Furthermore, All things were made by my Lord JESUS; and without JESUS was not any thing made that was made.

    Hebrews 1-2 and 11:3

1 - GOD, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last Days(last two Days or last 2000 years)spoken unto us by His Son,whom GOD hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also GOD made the worlds.

11:3 Through FAITH(not by sight, or even by the letter of the Scriptures, the letter kills)we UNDERSTAND that the WORLDS were framed/created by the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD-,self-executing-,so that things which are seen WERE NO MADE of things which do appear.

    Isaiah 40:21-22

21Have ye not known?have ye not heard?hath it not been told you from the beginning?have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;that stretcheth out the HEAVENS as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.

    Isaiah 51:14-17

14The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit,nor that his bread should fail.

15But I am the Lord thy GOD,that divided the sea, whose waves roared:The Lord of hosts is His name.

16And I have put my WORD in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I MAY PLANT THE HEAVENS, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion,Thou art my people.

17 Awake, awake, stand up,O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his fury...

    GOD bless

"The King James Bible is one of the great literary treasures our world has ever seen, especially when you consider who wrote the King James Bible, why it was written and when it was written. While it is a literary masterpiece, more importantly it is the Word of God. This is why it has endured. Not because of the commission of King James but because of the commission of God himself. Regardless of how people feel about God's word, you can be confident in knowing that God's word will endure forever.

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever" ( Isaiah 40:8 KJV)"

Yes, GOD made the Universe. In fact, GOD created four heavens, but He sat upon the circle of the earth - Isaiah 40:22KJV also Nevi'im (Prophets) Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 40:22 - Hebrew Bible - : "It is He Who sits above the circle of the earth, and whose inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heaven like a CURTAIN, and He spread them out like a tent to dwell" Ephesians 1:3KJV, and so on: 3 Blessed be the GOD and Father of our Lord JESUS Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places(Old and New Testaments) in Christ.

Now, in this current millennnium, two of the four heavens created by GOD through JESUS will be DISSOLVED(without JESUS was not any thing made that was made), in fact both heavens -the first and second - will be BURNED from now on- 2Peter 3:7 combined with Isaiah 33:14-15- , and the 3rd heaven will be established in this current millennium, that is the seventh and last millennium, and this 3rd heaven whose heavenly environment is described in Revelation 4 and 5 combined with Luke 20:35-36, among many other biblical references -comes up hither-, it will last 1000 years. After this, I mean ending the millennium, then will be established the heaven of the heavens for all Eternity.

    Brother GiGi

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

You said that you "don't know if the angels can see the Father, or if for all eternity they saw the Godhead in the Son even before He was incarnated".

Remember that John the Baptist was an angel( Isaiah 40:1 to 14 reveal who is his person combined with Malachi 3:1), angels are born by the Power of the Word of GOD, by prophecy, even our Lord JESUS affirmed this( Matthew 11:9-10), and John the Baptist, the angel of the Lord, knew JESUS before His birth, as even he testified: John the Apostle wrote about the testimony of John the Baptist, saying: John 1:18 - 18 No man hath seen GOD at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.

By the way, we must know with certainty through the Word of GOD that the TRUE BELIEVERS will be angels of GOD from now on, by the transformation and changing of the nature of them all, the Word of GOD will do it in the true believers, do you understand? Because they was born from GOD-from the Word-the Word is GOD- Philippians 3:20-21 combined with 1 Corinthians 15:51-55 and Romans 8:18-25, Believest thou this?)

Our Lord JESUS said: Luke 20:35-36-

35 - They which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world (next world-the Kingdom of GOD- Revelation 11:15-18) and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are EQUAL UNTO THE ANGELS; and are the children of GOD, being the children of the resurrection.

Matthew 25:29 - For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

    Matthew 25:4-6

4 - The wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and SLEPT. (Similar Genesis 2:21-25)

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; GO YE OUT(yes, GO OUT)TO MEET HIM.

    Come up hither- Revelation 4:1

    Hallelujah, praise our GOD

    Part 5.

Who is God? - His Nature

We know certain things to be true of God for one reason: in His mercy He has condescended to reveal some of His qualities to us. God is spirit, by nature intangible ( John 4:24). God is One, but He exists as three Persons-God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit ( Matthew 3:16-17). God is infinite ( 1 Timothy 1:17), incomparable ( 2 Samuel 7:22), and unchanging ( Malachi 3:6). God exists everywhere ( Psalm 139:7-12), knows everything ( Psalm 147:5; Isaiah 40:28), and has all power and authority ( Ephesians 1; Revelation 19:6).

Who is God? - His Work

We cannot understand God apart from His works, because what God does flows from who He is. Here is an abbreviated list of God's works, past, present, and future: God created the world ( Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 42:5); He actively sustains the world ( Colossians 1:17); He is executing His eternal plan ( Ephesians 1:11) which involves the redemption of man from the curse of sin and death ( Galatians 3:13-14); He draws people to Christ ( John 6:44); He disciplines His children ( Hebrews 12:6); and He will judge the world ( Revelation 20:11-15).

Who is God? - A Relationship with Him

In the Person of the Son, God became incarnate ( John 1:14). The Son of God became the Son of Man and is therefore the "bridge" between God and man ( John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through the Son that we can have forgiveness of sins ( Ephesians 1:7), reconciliation with God ( John 15:15; Romans 5:10), and eternal salvation ( 2 Timothy 2:10). In Jesus Christ "all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form" ( Colossians 2:9). So, to really know who God is, all we have to do is look at Jesus.

Jerry that is much of what we know about God and that probably don't scratch the surface on GOD!

    I HOPE THIS HELPS.

    GOD BLESS.

    Revelation 22

14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For outside are dogs and sorcerers, and whoremongers and murderers and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

The following is a theoretical summary of what appears to be happening.

Heavenly Jerusalem; it appears is suspended above the earth during the Millennium (can be inferred from Revelation 21:2).

Psalm 48 seems to show that it is seen during the Millennium

2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

The gravitational affects of the city would cause physical effects such as seen in Isaiah 40:4

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Further effects would occur with the dropping of the Heavenly City to earth; and thus it would perish by fire ( 2 Peter 3:10) when all the elements burn up. There is no more sea at that point ( Revelation 21:1) which would make sense since EVERY creature dies in the sea during the second bowl Judgment ( Rev. 16:3). We see at the end of the Millenium that there is no more place for the dead (from under the sea or the land) and thus the final Judgment of the unredeemed occurs. ( Rev. 20:11).

Since only the City of God comes down; the rest of heaven itself is presumably somewhere out there or perhaps still in a different dimension where we can dwell. Also; the rest of the earth will still presumably be restored and the Saints will be able to gain access (even if the heavenly city is totally surrounded by the lake of fire).

Strangely enough that debate along with that of the veracity or lack thereof of the moon landing came into a contentious discussion at my small group. Isaiah 40:22 talks about the "circle" of the earth; and there are verses such as Luke 17:34-36 which discuss those asleep (in night) and those awake working during the day in the field. This shows the different time zones. The seasons also make things pretty clear; it is winter in the southern hemisphere and summer in the northern currently; vice verse in 6 months. This surely shows the nearly spherical (in reality slightly pear shape) of the earth. The fact that there is 6 months of light and darkness in each pole which gradually reduces in length and the sun at it's highest point is lower than anywhere else shows evidence as well; and also indicates the 23 degree tilt of the earth (hence the sun only shines straight up to the south of the tropic of cancer; north of capricorn.

Movement of stars with it's annual cycle coming back to where it started also shows how the earth rotates around the sun in close to 365 days (leap year bringing things closer to exact measurement). Again; creful examination of the scriptures is needed; as indeed the sun does move through the solar system while we and other planets rotate around it. The local star group moves through local constellations; in turn the whole galaxy moves in a circle as well as through space (with upcoming Andromeda "collision" predicted in some millions of years from now.

Tidal forces are not just on the earth but on the moon (whose curvature is obvious). We also see in Job an indication of the hydrological cycle (moving of course in opposite directions for cyclone and anticyclone between the northern and southern hemisphere) such as indicated in Job 28:26 and other verses.

I'm not sure of other verses; this is more of a logic argument here. Obviously; if the world was flat gravity would be disproportionate. Hope some of this helps.
