Cindy, thank you for your response & taking the trouble to send us some Scriptures in support. I had a look at those as well as the En-Gedi website to understand more of what you were referring to.

That website does make a reference to the Third Eye, but only for contrast to what Jesus spoke about concerning the 'eye' (i.e. being single or being evil, etc.) & what John Wesley commented about the eye. However, one Elizabeth Clare Prophet (New Ager) was also quoted in contrast who gave her understanding: that "Jesus was speaking of the "third eye chakra" or inner eye of enlightenment. When humans were first created perfect, she says, they were enlightened by this third eye, but after the fall, it is now only reached through meditation." So please don't be swayed by this, as this type of belief is opposed to Holy Scripture & comes mixed with Eastern religions that are in direct violation to the teachings of the Bible. There is no such thing as a third eye: when we are saved through Christ's shed Blood, it is the Holy Spirit Who enlightens our minds to see ourselves, other people & the world we live in, through 'different eyes' = as Christ sees things. To desire knowledge about 'third eye', shows that we lend our support to such a belief & this can NEVER be for a true follower of Jesus & one who is obedient to God's Word. The New Age teaching is from Hell & violates everything that God teaches us from the Bible & requires of us.

The Bible verses you gave do not support this 'third eye' belief, rather they speak of our understanding, our purity & the way we need to look at others. So, in my summation, I don't believe for one moment that the Bible has any reference at all to a 'third eye' & it would be most profitable for you to not meddle with such anti-biblical teaching which ultimately leads us away from Truth & Holiness.

Jesus tells us plainly the timing of the resurrection in Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed (weeds) tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST first the TARES (WEEDS) tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

(first the tares WEEDS get gathered, then the wheat last) could it be any more plain than this?)

Did Jesus mess up the timing of end time events?

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

    37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

    38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

  • Seventh day is sabbath - In Reply on James 1 - 5 years ago
    Chris:

    a. The Sabbath was given to man Mark 2:27 at creation Genesis 2:2-3 it's not a day that God required just for the Israelite's to keep, which is why the 4th commandment starts with "remember" it is because the children of Israel had forgotten through hundreds of years of slavery in Egypt.

    b. Jesus came to this world not to destroy the law and the prophets Matt. 5:17, The law (10 commandments) says to remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

The breaking of bread in Acts 20:7 is referring to eating (food) (see Acts 20:11)

1 Cor. 16:2 the "first day of the week" Paul is referring to putting aside your offerings (collection for the saints) starting on the first day of the week (Sunday) (see 1 Cor.16:1)

Revelation 1:10 John was in vision on the sabbath (Lord's day is the sabbath, For the son of man is Lord, even of the sabbath day. (see Matthew 12:8)

    c. What was nailed to the cross was the "ceremonial laws" not the 10 commandments. In (Matt.27:51) the veil of the temple was rent in two when Jesus died on the cross, the ceremonial laws that God had required since sin came into the world (sacrificing animals ect) was no longer needed because the ultimate sacrifice had just been made and that was the shedding of blood of a sinless Jesus on the cross.

Matthew 5:18 One jot or one tittle shall not wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Rev. 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter into the gates of the city.

    Page 2.

    d. to those that then require the keeping of the Sabbath as mandatory even for Christians, does the disobedience to this Law then translate to sin & what then is the result? In other words, is there hope of salvation for the 'Christian' who refuses to recognize the Sabbath Day? Is our salvation dependent on the Cross plus the keeping of the Sabbath?

    e. However, is it possible to keep the Sabbath, indeed the whole Law as one would so be bound to, & not commit the sin of syncretizing the Law of Works & Grace? Would not then the observance of the Sabbath be a sin, as it shows the believer placing himself back under the Law for salvation or to assist in it? So, a Sabbath-keeper is obliged to 'keep the whole Law & if he offends in one point, he is guilty of all (Js 2:10).
  • Chris - In Reply on James 1 - 5 years ago
    Page 1.

Greg, you gave a good account in support of keeping the Sabbath day holy, but could you consider the following as the other side of this teaching?

    a. Israel was marked out by God to be His chosen people: to set His Love upon them & through whom His Son would come to reconcile man to God. As such there were two clear signs that proved to the nations about them, that this people were Holy, separated to God: the giving of the Law & Circumcision. No other nation received this instruction & compulsion to obey.

    b. when Jesus came into this World, His Ministry & His calling together of the twelve, they were still, in what we regard, the Old Testament, or Old Covenant, even though the Bible was divided differently. It was only natural, in keeping of the Law & occasion to worship, that the Sabbath was still recognized as the day of rest. After He rose from the grave & ascended to Heaven, the believers still worshipped on the Sabbath if attending the synagogue, but the 'first day of week' began to be recognized as the Lord's Day & the Church began to worship on that day ( Acts 20:7, 1 Cor 16:2, Rev 1:10, in reference to the Lord's Day as a recognized day set aside).

    c. as part of the New Covenant, we understand that it was made through HIS Blood (unlike the blood of the sacrifices under the Old) which not only gave all who expressed faith in Christ's Work a New & Living Way back to God, but also "nailed to the Cross the handwriting of Ordinances that were against them" ( Col 2:14). This now redundant Law signified that any obedience to it & binding of the Law to ourselves was no longer compatible to the New Covenant: indeed, to observe the Law of Works & the Law of Grace did despite to the Work of the Cross. The two cannot be syncretized. Gal 2:21: "for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
  • Revelation 2011-15 place of unsaved dead - In Reply on James 1 - 5 years ago
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Romans Chapter One, shows us that people are WITHOUT excuse as to why they did not see God as The Creator of all that we enjoy...His Creation. It doesn't require a church experience or a preacher to convince people that SOMEONE MADE ALL that they see with their eyes, every day of their life.

The Bible has been in existence and able to be purchased for personal use for hundreds of years. The Dead Sea Scrolls in existence even longer.

How long has Christmas been celebrated? It wasn't commercialized like it is now.

Don't you see that God was always here, waiting for us to see our need for a Savior.

I believe that children under the age of accountability who died or were murdered will be admitted to heaven. Scripture supports that.

God made it rain hail that was in flames on a cloudless day, yet Pharaoh would not accept God.

Scripture says people in hell pray for their living loved ones to get saved.

I know of false teachers, now, who teach there is no hell.

Decide to choose LIFE, so you and those you love can choose Jesus and be ready for heaven. John 3 (Click on the link)

Tell others you know that aren't ready.

WHY DO PEOPLE NOT REST ON THE SABBATH DAY / SEVENTH DAY?

And God RESTED on the SEVENTH DAY.

And God BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY and SANCTIFIED the SEVENTH DAY.

Many have changed the day of rest from the SEVENTH DAY to the first day.

There are TWO Biblical reasons people believe this.

    1) The first day of the week is the day that Matthew 28:1, Mark and Luke 23:55, 24:2 relate that the sepulchre was opened and Jesus was not found there.

    2) During the 40 days that Jesus was on earth before He rose into heaven He appeared to His disciples seven times. Five of the seven times Jesus met with them on the FIRST DAY of the week. The other two times, the day is not mentioned. Look at Mark 16:9-13, Mark 16:14-18, Luke 24:13-33, Luke 24:34, Luke 24:36-44, John 20:11-23, John 20:26-29.

None of the examples given above concerning the FIRST DAY of the week allow any authority for us to change the SEVENTH DAY to the FIRST DAY.

Jesus NEVER GAVE AUTHORITY TO DO THIS.

( Mark 2:27-28) "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath."

If we believe in the Father and His only begotten Son, then we have Christ in us every day, not just one day per week.

This new understanding is an enhancement of the 7th day, not the abolishing of it. It was made to last FOREVER. This is a day that God BLESSED and SANCTIFIED!

    Christ ALWAYS honored the Sabbath.

The Apostles kept the Sabbath AFTER CHRIST DIED; look at Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44, Acts 16:13, etc.

Pentecost is a holy SABBATH day; i.e. a day of rest.

In Acts 17:2 and Acts 18:4, Paul is continually feeding the people Scripture on the SABBATH. Christ never abolished the Sabbath; neither did Paul. God never said anything concerning that fact, and if He wanted that day changed He would have made it abundantly clear.

Further study concerning the importance of the Seventh Day can be found throughout ALL Scripture; as well as in the Book of Enoch.

It's not our job to spoon feed the Bible to you. Every Walmart in America sells Bibles.

    Goodwill stores have them.

If reading is hard, there are numerous videos on YouTube that you can listen to: church sermons, Bible, everything.

You get yourself born again according to John 3 (click on this link) and God, the Holy Spirit will be your personal Teacher.

FIRST you are going to have to Repent of this Third Eye hogwash. You cannot give yourself to Jesus till you give all the demonic stuff back to the devil, in his face!

He is the Destroyer, NOT GOD. Blame the right person. This Pandemic is Satan's and it is engineered to kill 1/3 of Earths population. It started in China. It is what it is. The only way to survive is to have Jesus as your Savior.

Come in through the front door ok? You don't kick the door down and expect people to run like deer to get you what you want.

Come in just like we did. Needing some truth. Seeking some answers. Willing to listen.

Ok, I've checked out the dollar bill & picked up on the various things to note on it. But that nasty spider remains elusive! I also read up on the original reasons for this design (with its pyramid, eye, etc.) & it appears to have been so printed for more honourable reasons. I looked at a website (& others) called Biblewheel & then to the 'Great Seal' to get a fuller understanding of this. But I do take your point, that this design does smack of a Masonic/New Age appearance; I wonder whether we as Christians should be unduly perturbed by this: after all it is still legal tender & doesn't deter from our using it & its acceptability. However, thank you for that insight: I never knew this before.
  • I am on James 1 - 5 years ago
"I am" can only communicate with you through Means. What are these Means? The WORD, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper, are the only way to hear, learn, keep, and know who "I am" is. Listen to "I am". Read the WORD for in it you have eternal life. No man can come to "I am" but by JESUS the "I am". By HIS undeserved LOVE, HE gave you the "Gift" of Faith and not you saying I have faith because I "chose to accept "I am". Be far from it. "I am" the way the Truth and the LIfe. No man can come to the Father, but by JESUS the "I am" in the eternal "not made" Triune GOD. The Jews as my children misbehaved so much and killed all those who I sent to them including my only begotton Son to save them that needed a physician to be healed but "they would not". So I turned to the Gentiles as it is written in the Word "I am" gave them, but they turned to fables, made false gods, killed the young children and babies by fire, wanted a king instead of me to lead them, killed the prophets, wanted the world more than Me, chose to live without "I am", and so reaped what they sowed. But as I have loved them I sent my Son "I AM" to be a sacrifice for the entire world that through HIM JESUS THE "I AM" was crucified and was resurrected and now all those who believe it have hope, peace, and love for one another to meet them in the clouds when I come back on that great and final Day. Faith in the Christ "I am" is all I ask of you, because I AM LOVE. The "I AM" Holy Spirit will guide you through this life to to know and learn of Me and my LOVE for you through the Word, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved"

    Agape to you.

    I come quickly!

Thanks Tiffan for that information - I will read up on Franz's writings & also Jewish Voice. I'm not from the U.S. but have your currency notes which I will examine. Though, I guess, what the government inscribes on it has little bearing on Christians; it would be different if the govt. wholly followed the Lord & His Word.

Is there any Godly Bold men of god with faith and belefe in God and that has all of these and not affraid. This is where your Faith comes in at, yall go in midest of it and start praying and call the Angels in. And send it back to hell where it came from. Every church in our country in the united states and getting in the middle of this and fight for our country. this isYALL'S MISSION here. Now get out there and fight for God's childeren. Just because you think that your safe and get this virus and yes you protected, you have the shild, of protection, yes you the blood of christ around you and the armour of god. but about the rest of gods childeren. and those that don't it. Where is your FAITH now. Is it still stuck in a church going out to eat or behind ya'lls walls where ya'll are safe. Instead of herelng about someone getting killed for stupidity or young childeren dying. They are lnasent. In JESUS NAME fight for them.

Hey, brother...interesting response, but I want to encourage you to continue To hide this word, or as James just called it, get "grafted" in to more of Jesus. If you desire to see others healed, KNOW of a certainty that 1. It is always God's will to heal. We are not disciplined by God using disease or sickness. This is a aflame doctrine and it undermines our faith both in healing, but more importantly, in the nature of God. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and, as James says, there is NO variable in that...not even a shadow of turning. Paul's thorn was not disease. Otherwise, as the Pharisees were told, "satan cannot cast our satan". And, "a kingdoms divided against itself cannot stand."

    2. We are not waiting in God to GIVE US anything special to heal or to be healed. He has accomplished it in full. You have "this same

Power", that raised Jesus from the dead, in you. That's why Peter says to the lame man, "such as I have, give I thee!" Now it's Gods power, but we have been given that power and His authority. But, faith is like a muscle...it grows stronger as we use it. Andrew Womack has a great series called "You've Already Git It", that I would recommend highly. Stay strong, brother and do not believe the false

Doctrines if men, but trust the God wants you (and everyone else) whole and prospering (even as their soul prospers). Keep at it and you will raise the sea, heal the sick and

    Cast out devils. Peace!
