Chapter 15 verse 13 is talking about Jesus laying down his life for a believer. He calls us his friends. If a person kills himself because he wants a family to have money. In Gods sight , it would be murder.

What if a person was old and was about to have to be committed to a nursing home. This person had saved 450,000 dollars, and in less than seven years the nursing home would have all of that money. This person is caring for a mother and six children in Mexico and wants to put this money in trust for this family, so, rather than going into the nursing home if he took his own life so that the money would go to support this family for many, many years. Would it be a sin? Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one 's life for one 's friends. So is it a sin, or an act of great love. Would someone with more wisdom than me, please give me the answer to this

Father, I ask tonight for healings for my wife 's grandmother and her heart condition. I have seen you work miracles in my life more time than I could ever remember, things that I saw your fingerprints for a sign and knew they were gifts from heaven. I pray that you also leave your fingerprint in her healing for a sign to help spread your Gospel and glorify your Son. I ask in faith. In Jesus 's name. Amen. The LORD 's fingerprint is when you witness somthing that couldn 't shouldn 't wouldn 't happen but you pray for it and it does! Praise the Lord!

God is love, of his love he gave to us in his son and his son gave himself for us and in return as the fruit of the nature of the father and son we are to manifest the same and for greater and eternal harvest we must continue in him.

Please look up John 15:4. There is a mistake in that verse. It says "Abid in me, and in you: Now shouldn 't it have said "Abide in me, and I in you: " I understand that we are all human. And we all make mistakes. I just want to let you know about that mistake of the wording in John 15:4

Jesus has chosen us and ordained us to bring forth fruit, the scripture is talking about winning souls for Christ, preaching the good news and that's what we are here for . We have what it takes already to bring forth fruit Holy Ghost so we cant but open our mouth and preach the gospel that's how we bring forth fruit in the kingdom. Glory to God!

It is the will of the Father that we live by his commandments, by following his wishes only can we live a fruitful life, but in doing so we must accept the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit as the comforter allows us to be the branches that bears fruits.
  • Alex on John 15 - 11 years ago

  • John bones on John 15 - 11 years ago
I believe Jesus was saying that we can do nothing in our own strength, for without God we are helpless. Remaining in Gods protection daily is essential If we try to do things in our own strength we will fall flat every time So we need to remain in the vine Jesus christ all the time 24 7 365. I believe if we do what christ says in Matthew Mark Luke and John we will truely be his disciples. So its common sense to follow his teachings God bless you all yours in Jesus name from john. I hope this view has helped

Loving God 's word and loving Jesus is a perfect obedience that you showed to the Father. Without Jesus in our lives we are nothing, just simply nothing, why not we read and eat his heavenly manna , the word of God where his word will give us life and abundance of blessings. Jesus loves you

Answer to ECR comments dated 11-09-2014 2:36 am. I don 't agree with you that Jesus Christ holds all three offices, making him the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, thus it will immediately follows that they are equal in power and authority. The bible tells us plainly that they are distinct to one another. The Father is Greater than the Son - John 15:28-. In the book of Genesis 1:26 When God said "Let US make man in OUR image " he is talking to someone who has the power to create just like himself, so beside the Father who else has the power to create? of course its the Son. Its impossible to think that God talk to his angels about creation of men, since angels has no power to create, and its impossible that the Father talking to himself, remember our God is not the author of confusion 1Cor 14:33.
