Verse 39~The Pharisees were more concerned with the outside appearance. They needed to focus on being righteous at heart.

Are the saved, filled with the Spirit? Are you, filled with the Spirit? "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his". Rom 8:9...Are you filled with the Spirit? If not, see vs.13, where Jesus said, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him". Precious Promise indeed.

Verse 52: The Pharisees failed to unlock the meaning of God's Word and help others on the way to eternal life.

Sermon of Jesus, the man who loved God. These parables urge us to direct our supplication to God, from whom the wonders come forth. As Jonah, whose preaching caused the men, and women to repent. As Queen of Sheba, who sought wisdom from the wisest man alive. Woe to the lawyers, for they profit from the misery they inflict. Woe to the religious hiarchy, hypocrites in their complicity with Gov.

We see a parent on how God carries out punishment. Just as how God sent out Jonah to warn the Ninevites before destruction was to be, so today God warns us. The time we have now is the time we need to take to repent and draw closer to our Heavenly Father Jehovah. May we use this time to study the Bible, and come to an accurate knowledge of the truth.

The Lord's prayer is significant and shall be honored.

Many miss this: That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; Before this generation was over in 70 AD Jerusalem was over run and the Temple was destroyed. Many that were slain in the past for serving God in Truth were raised from the dead and joined with their bodies. Matthew 27: 52 and 53.

"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." A woman in the crowd lifted up her voice, perhaps thinking that she is boldly confessing and honoring the Lord by praising His mother but what is she really doing? Another attempt of the devil to get people's eyes off of Jesus, and on to a fictitious Queen of heaven? The spirit of the pagan subtly trying to make a road in among the Saints AGAIN? What kind of spirit was crying out, O blessed Mama of Jesus! Yes Mary was blessed AMONG women but not ABOVE any of them! Jesus the Son of God come in flesh, HE IS THE BLESSED ONE! And ALL our affection and praise is to HIM! So His response to her immediately puts away all idolaters as ignorance, confusion, and worthless making us all equal both with respect to Him and toward each other: and the "Blessed" AMONG us "They that hear the Word of God and keep it!"

This shows that it is not enough to read the Word of God, we must also keep it by applying what we learn in our lives.

TAKE HEED THEREFORE THAT THE LIGHT WHICH IS IN THEE BUT NOT DARKNESS. FOR ME THE HONEST AND RIGHTEOUS NEVER HIDE OR SCATTER IN THE DARK. THE GOOD GUYS NEVER RUN. BELIEVE STRONGER LOVE HARDER.

IN REGARDS TO THE VERSE I BELIEVE IF YOU GIVE NOT ONLY WITH ALL THE LOVE IN YOUR HEART GOD WILL ALWAYS GIVE US MORE THAN WHAT WE DESERVE. NOT ONLY WORSHIP GOD LIVE HIM EVERYDAY YOU LIVE .

This scripture came in my email at the same time I was thinking of registering for an online course. I feel like God is telling me to go for it. I want to do something to help out my family. I have faith in our Lord to get me through it and with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by my side, I know I can do it!

When jesus says Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. He is talking about Meditation, that is how one enters in one self. as he says in Mat 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God", and repeats 5 times in this sequence, "Take No Thought". for where is the Kingdom of god? Luke 17:21. Within you.

Jesus had some straight talk with the Pharisees including lawyers among them. There were so many "Woe unto you" as he rebuked them for their insincerity. He said it as it is: "Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them." We should avoid walking the same path as the Pharisees lest we are equally rebuked with "woe unto you".

I love reading the word of God.It gives me a lot of wisdom and knowledge.

Luke's version of the Lord's Prayer is great, it shows clearly that it is not finances only that should be forgiven like some believe from the Matthew version which uses debts. Luke says sins. And I know that Jesus explains the Matthew version and uses the term trespasses. So from these two versions of the Lord's Prayer we should forgive debts trespasses and sins. Glory to God and glory to Jesus.

"Lord, teach us to pray..." The Lord DOES teach us! He gives us precisely the words to use; and He tells us all about HOW to pray. It is our own UNBELIEF and lack of determination that accepts obstacles and contradictions as indisputable; instead of tenaciously clinging to the urgency of our need, and not accepting a "No" from Him who alone can help us. How badly do you need? THEN PRAY LIKE IT!

The chapter shows the passion of Jesus, the High Priest, in his vehemently urging repentence to gain the Holy Spirit of God. And who is blessed of God? Those who hear the word and keep it. The word of God exists in no other place than the Bible. To hear first ye must read, study until understanding truly occurs. It is hard, hard to do but but this is importunity that Jesus preaches. Luke 11:29 Christ said no sign given to that particular evil generation. Reason being they wanted proof of the Messiah. What more proof is there than Christ Himself performing miracles and teaching? Their minds made up not to believe. If Christ couldn't convince them, a sign certainly wouldn't, as proven by the sign of Jonah. Israel on the map again is huge sign. Christ said, "watch!" Mark 13.

Prayer is the subject matter of Luke 11:9 We need to pray always.

Verse 9 encourages us to keep on asking and this shows heartfelt desire and it is a display of faith.

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Turn again to the most High, and turn away from iniquity: for he will lead thee out of darkness into the light of health, and hate thou abomination vehemently. For the eyes of the Lord are upon them that love him, he is their mighty protection and strong stay, a defence from heat, and a cover from the sun at noon, a preservation from stumbling, and an help from falling. He raiseth up the soul, and lighteneth the eyes: he giveth health, life, and blessing.

He will swallow up death in victory and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. For he created all things, that they might have their being: and the generations of the world were healthful and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth: For it was neither herb, nor mollifying plaister, that restored them to health: but thy word, O Lord, which healeth all things. For of the most High cometh healing, and he shall receive honour of the king. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

Luke11v5 tho he will not rise and give him because he is his friend,yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth....*persistence

On verses 34-36: Here Jesus is saying you're either 100% fill of light and goodness or 100% full of evilness and darkness. There's no such thing as being partly light and partly darkness, partly good and partly evil. There's only 1 way to be 100% full of light: by recieving Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. "I am the light of the world" (Jesus) "In Him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men."
