Jesus is the perfect obedience to the Father. Jesus himself is the word of God and we must listen and obey his words. thru his words we recieved peace, joy, happiness, life in abundance. God 's words is powerful like a sword that washes our unrighteousness and cleanses our sins. Jesus loves us and he will never stop loving us. He wants our Soul to be Save thanks to his precious blood that shed for us, His ressurection, his ascencion and thanks to the Holy Spirit that sent us. Amen

Verses 23 and 24, Jesus said, " No prophet is accepted in his own country. " Perhaps Jesus is saying that people honor God through rhetoric and ritual without ever embracing the deeply needed concept of loving all of mankind. Pharisees think, Our concept of religion is the only true path to God, everyone else is a sinner that will be rejected by God. All are on the path of spiritual growth whether they realize it or not. Jesus teaches that the way to harmony and peace is acceptance of all people and recognize God in each one. We are all Gods creation. God wants to connect us, spirit with spirit so that a new level of understanding and harmony can exist in the world. "For the man who pleases him God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy " - Eccles. 2.26. Words of comfort, love and calm encouragement is the way to teach scripture, helping each other understand God 's plan for the world. We are all sinners falling short of perfection, rhetoric and ritual may start one on the path but the journey leads us past that into the commandment of Jesus, LOVE one another! We need to greet people that do not agree with us with love, with patience and with understanding. The true church is within oneself, ones spirit and how one treats others. Sharing this love is enlightenment. It is difficult to change ones spiritual ideas but through the Spirit of Jesus within us we can face every situation that confronts us. Learn from each other, Love each other. God is good and God is Love.

I 've often wondered WHY Jesus went into the desert alone. The Scriptures state the "spirit " took Him into the desert "to be tempted " yet this is not clear to me. I am GUESSING the Holy Spirit was so strong within Jesus at that time that it would have been terrible for Him to walk among man with all the distractions associated with man. By going into the desert Jesus did not have those distractions. He also had no food drink with which to survive in human form and He had to survive in human form to die for us. Thus, by the Holy Spirit taking Jesus into the desert away from man and man 's means of surviving, Jesus was given the OPPORTUNITY to fortify His position as the "human " son of God. This was when He was so very vulnerable and, thus, satan made attempts to corrupt Him. I am so grateful Jesus was as strong as He was and as dedicated to man as He was so as to survive despite there being no "human " means of doing so. This is the type of dedication strength we all need to win against the evil in this world.

The fact that a demon possessed man was at a place of worship speaks volumes to deadness of the religion going on. At many churches today Satan may sit comfortably as men behind the pulpits have departed from sound doctrine. If the truth were to find it 's way into these churches a similar response would occurred as in the next verse. Out of here, we don 't want the truth.

Temptations come most frequently when we are vulnerable, like when we are hungry, frustrated, and financially scrapped, yet we can withstand temptations if we have made the decision not to be tempted even before the temptation comes.

My take away point is this, there are satanic influences in the government. Now, this isn 't a hate the government statement at all. Romans 13:1 encourages us to give the proper respect to government without overstepping our rightful respect to god. However, if satan is saying that he OWNS the governments, and that means all the governments, then who are you really voting for? In so e governments more than others we see satan has a hand in it. Yet this shows all governments are under satan 's influence. Governments are merely doing what god said would happen in genesis. Man dominating man.

I personally think as Christians we should use Luke ch 4 as an example to fight temptation, just as how our Lord Jesus resisted the devil in the wilderness. There is no sin in being tempted, it is when we as Christians yield to the temptation we sin.

Part 1 of 2: Hello Patricia Cannon: I do not understand your point. However, love does not mean that correction, and reproof is not done. You are right Jesus did things in love. However, he also got angry at man during his walk here on Earth and frustrated with man, Matthew 21: 12. Sometimes love hurts, especially when you are telling the truth. There have been times that they sought to kill Jesus because he told the truth, Luke 4: 30 is just one example. We are living in a time when people do not want to endure sound doctrine. They want teachers, preachers, and prophets to always speak of love, money, and prosperity, 2 Timothy 4: 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears

This verse as stated is a prophecy from Isaiah 61 1 3. As Jesus spoke He was fulfilling the first part of the prophecy He came to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord That done He closed the book and sat down. But He didn 't finish Isaiah 's prophecy! He didn 't continue with and the vengeance of our God That part of the prophecy is yet to be fulfilled, but will be at His second coming. We look forward to that great day when our returns and with vengeance destroys Satan and everything evil. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Is my pleasure to drop this comment, again as I did yesterday. Is about. Luke 4 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Have you ever think why Jesus fasted for forty days no food no water, do you think He likes to starve Himself just like that. During this forty days fasting, Jesus was interceding on behalf of mankind, pleading for the sins of mankind before God to be forgiven. That we mint not perish, just as Mose intercede for the people of Israel in Deut 9 18.pleaded for God to forgive them there sins. but the devil came to jesus at that time to hinder him not to intercede for man. in order for him to go ahead ruling man and holding him captive.thanks be to God he did not succeed. This is the more reason why we must value the cross, value his suffering for us and turn away from sin.and embrace Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour.

I really like the way you show different reply. I believe Luke was preparing those who are called for His work to be spared certain agony. Family and so called friends could send you in a place in your mind and spirit that only trusting God can return the peace and stability.

Irene asked about Satens authority that was delivered him or given to him and where can she find it in scripture. Remember where Satan came from, heaven! There is no death in heaven. Saten and his demons were kicked out of heaven and have beaten death to this day. Who in the history of the world has lived forever? Nobody!! Even the greatest man to walk the earth died because of the will of o of his j j jthis Father. Now if you are the Only person in the world that has never died, and you have lived for centrys wouldnt you be better than the people growing old and dying all around you? Of course! Remember, humans were sentanced to death because of Adam and Eve, our first parents. Now what do you think Saten is going to do please God or be the adversary that he is? God is life! Saten wants everybody dead including you.
