An old bottle or skin signifies weakness while new wine signifies holy spirit, his power and gifts. Every weak or strong christian earnestly seek one holy ghost gift or the other but do not get it as expected. The reason is that during the manifestation of the gift, the spiritual strength required to sustain spiritual gifts or power is more than what it takes to receive it.So in order to avoid loses, the carriage capacity of a christian is what God considers b 4 releasing his spiritual gift and not his desires. This is similar to what a rational wine tapper considers when choosing bottles or skins for his freshly tapped wines. What matters most to the tapper is the strength of the bottle and not the beauty. The way a weak bottle breaks and wastes itself and the wine to the ground is the way a weak but empowered christian breaks and wastes himself and his holy ghost gift to the devil. For instance if a christian that is hot tempered, proud or unforgiven is endowed with the power to do a variety of miracles. You would guess that one day, he would do something that can put the body of christ to ridicule.
Sometimes you may look around and wonder if anyone appears to be ready. But the spiritual realm is the realm of faith, where you trust in the reality of the unseen based on God s sure word. The harvest is plentiful, not because it always looks that way, but because Jesus said so. Many times you do not see the readiness of a heart until you take the faith steps of taking grace to obey as you then open your mouth with the Gospel. The Spirit leads. And when He leads you to engage someone in conversation, you can join Him trusting Him to work. You can trust Him for a divine appointment where God s hand is manifested and God s truth is given its weight. Cr. John Van Gelderen The Fact of a Ready Harvest.
Where there is no vision the people can only do what occurred in this scene, wonder around until they perish. I personally think GOD for the revelation through the face of JESUS
Matthew chapter 9 comment on 9 7 2014 The lord shows us that if we have faith whatever situations are he can make it right because Jesus said to everyone that was delivered by your faith you are made whole
WOW! I THANK GOD THAT THE GOD I SERVE KNOWS EVERYTHING, AND IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING! The devil uses people all around us to try to stop the WORD OF GOD the words of the bible , from happening in our lives. I love Matthew chapter 9 because it shows us that GOD DOES THINGS FOR EACH ONE OF US ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. IT DOESN 'T MATTER WHAT OTHERS MAY SAY OR DO TO TRY AND STOP GOD 'S WORD FROM COMING TO PASS IN OUR LIVES, GOD CAUSES HIS WORD TO MANIFEST IN OUR LIVES ACCORDING TO OUR FAITH, BELIEF, AND TRUST IN HIM, AND NO person, or devil can STOP GOD FROM DOING IT FOR US!!!
I see the power of Jesus over sicknesses and other challenges including death. Thus understanding there is nothing too hard for the Lord. In this chapter Jesus said according to your faith be it unto thee. That leads me to believe 'all things are possible to him that believe ' as stated in the Bible. Jesus has all power. He is Creator and sustainer of life. Why worry about anything since Jesus controls everything. And He is capable to handle any situation. Trust the Lord to fix your problem no matter what it is. He loves us and cares for us. Have faith in Him for your deliverance. Let. Go and let God.
As He gave his life for us we should All take time each day to read his lifes lessons for us. What a wonderful world we would life in were we all to live by his rules. I feel badly reading some of his lessons having forgot some of them. I am fortunate that he forgives my sins and is always with me when most needed. I plan now on reading the KJV NT daily now for the end is near by the signs he has given us. Hw gave his life for us and our sins and salvation and we need to spend time each day with him to know and better understand his Word before he comes for we are all guilty of sin. Even at my age i am still learning his lessons. Thanks for putting this online it makes it easier for me to read and follow.
This scripture emphasises that we must believe in God at all times and know that with him the possibilities out there are limitless. If you 're hanging by a thread and just feel like you can 't go on any further try having faith in God, it 'll work out just fine.
I think Jesus wants us to reflect on what mercy is in action as well as attitude. He shows us an example of non judgemental, mercy. His or Matthew 's mercy gives the ignorant sinners education and acceptance and love the healing ingredients to move forward and grow.
It is amazing what God can do in answer to our prayers when we have faith ih Him All he asks is that we believe His Word says all things are possible to him that believeth Praise his wonderful name

You cannot mix law and Grace. The law kills and Grace saves. When Moses came down from the mountain of sinai, 3000 weredead but Jesus Christ came 3000 were save. You from Grace when you go to the law.

there can't be harvest, without first plowing, sowing before harvesting is done, this tells us that the greater part of the work has been done by the lord of harvest himself before , he is giving us the opportunity to be part of the success story of his labour, this therefore tells me that if we begin any thing new in the sight of men, our master has aready complete it, our surcess stories are the completed work of our saviour Jesus Christ
If you put this parable into historical context. It would be talking about either wine skins or earthen vessels. We are both vessels of skin and earthen vessels. Bottles is a technology that involves glass which did not come onto the scene for centuries. However the idea is the same. New wine is alive and fermenting while old wine is settled and aging. This parable speaks of believers and unbelievers. You cannot make an unbeliever believe nor can you make a believer into an unbeliever. Mixing old and new is not a good idea. They will ruin each other and probably ruin the vessel too. Religion tries to make a mixture of both. The original lot drawn before the beginning of times and the new doctrines of demons which cannot be mixed with pure truth. Not a bad mixture in the case of port wine but in the kingdom the two are separated by the truth. What you have just read is the wisdom of ages.
This parable is very important to the true believer. It will however when explained be devastating to those who are unbelievers but have done all the things that would make them appear as a believer. The true believer and the false believer are what is spoken of here. The old garment is the lot we were born with, our true spiritual DNA. On earth there are a mixed lot . The children of God and the children of the devil. At the end of times I speak and separate the lots. Those who can believe me are true believers those who cannot are unbelievers disguised as believers with religion and the traditions of men. My words separate the lots , tearing apart the new garment (religion) from the old (the lots). It is the same for the old and the new wine skins. If you have read these words you already know where you belong. If my words comfort you or deeply disturb you it is to late if you read them.
There are many unbelievers who fast eating only once a day. But there is a difference between a Buddhist monk and a starving poor person yet their behavior is the same. One sacrifices and the other starves. I would know for I fasted for six years and now am poor. All things are vanity. God does not desire sacrifice but obedience. I speak these words out of obedience knowing full well the difference.
Remember this, only the believer can have faith. Them that sought him did have faith because they were believers. Many were not believers so Jesus knew that when he healed someone it was because they had faith. In other words they were believers. Unbelievers sought him only to accuse him of being the father of lies. I have experienced this personally so I have become a worker in the harvest field. I have friends who are unbelievers but I condemn them not knowing that there is nothing that can convert an unbeliever into a believer. If you believe what I have just said you are a believer, if you do not I condemn you not.
