@ Roy you are absolutely right, there is really a hell. A woman here in my town died, she came back though. She said when she died she went to the gates of hell, they were big iron hot doors that she couldn't even touch and behind it she heard people screaming. She was given a second chance and returned back to her life. There are many people who think the bible is a fairy tale, well that's there problem. I had an epithany with Jesus and he showed me a small section of heaven, he does exist, and if this woman died and went to the gates of hell then this book is true. SO all you people that think this is bogus, that's your opinion, I used to think the same thing myself. Until I had my experience, and heard the hell gates story. When you receive the wisdom and knowledge from God is when this bible starts to really make sense. The only way you get that is through repenting. It is a known fact on this Earth that there are many here who say they know God but really he is far from their heart.
There is no true Greek word for hell. The origin of the word hell dates back to 700 AD or so and is actually comparative to Gehenna, not Hades. Hades is the grave and Gehenna was a deep, narrow Valley of Hinnom where Judean Kings Ahaz and Manasseh engaged in idolatrous worship, which included child sacrifices by fire to Ba'al. Later it became a place for mass disposal of dead bodies.
I just now read your 2 comments, for which I was never notified. And no, you were not too harsh. :) I have studied off and on for over 14 years and am giving serious thought to becoming an unbaptized publisher myself. The bible is something that we must all study and sometimes I explain things well and sometimes I don't. I agree with your statement 100%. Thanks, Jen
a reader of the bible should also use reasoning when dealing with such a serious subject as hell. I also study with jw's and know for a fact that "hell" is a representation of everlasting death. those who are not writen in the book of life(non-believers) will be the ones who are eternally destroyed. If your still not convinced acts 2:27,31,32 says that jesus was raised from ha'des. this is to say the grave, not hell. how could god's son go to hell? use your logic when you read these things
According to the word of the LORD the rock from whence we are hewn is a comet( Psalms 18: 12, 13; Daniel 2: 34, 35; Revelation 8: 11; 9: 1 - too many others to mention) that struck the earth in the previous timeline which will occur again in our generation ( Ecclesiastes 1:9, 10; 3: 15; 12: 1-8) the impact of the comet creates an immense pit in the earth ( Isaiah 5: 14; Psalms 55: 23; 94: 14; Jeremiah 48:44; Matthew 12:11; Revelation 11:7; Revelation 20:1). The 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 14 are the ones who escape the effects of the comet impact that destroys all life on earth ( Isaiah 1:9; Ezekiel 12:16).
HELL IS A HOLDING PLACE BEFORE JUDGEMENT AND CASTING INTO LAKE OF FIRE. JUST LIKE A JOB YOU GET PAID OR FIRE FOR GOOD OR THE BAD WORK YOU MAY PERFORM ( ROMANS 6;23) THE STATE YOU DIE THE WHAT YOU JUDGE FROM ( EZEKIEL 18;24-29) THIS PROPHET SHOULD HELP ( ISAIAH 5;14) HELL STARTED JUST FOR SATAN AND FALLEN ANGELS THAT FOLLOW THE THING OF HIM SO IF MAN FOLLOW THE THING OF THE DEVIL TAKE A GUESS. BRIGHT SIDE OF THIS ( HEBREWS 11:1-2,6) (ST JOHN 3;1-9)( ACTS 2;38)AND FOR THE ROMANS6;7 COMMENT THAT REPENTANCE FROM YOU DON'T DO THE THING OF OLD KILLING OFF THE OLD NATURE OF SELF THE WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE SEEK GOD UNDERSTAND OF ROMANS 6. JESUS THE WAY ( ACTS 4;12) THE WORD IS GOD AND GOD IS HIM WORD TRUTH AND LIFE FOREVERMORE (ST JOHN 4;24)
first i would like to say you have it wrong there is a hell the bible speaks more of hell than it does of heaven. the bible talks about the rich man in hell that he lift his eyes and said i am tormented in these flames {oh i know you are going to say this is just a metaphore are parable that JESUS or a fairy tell} hell was created for the devil and his angles that kept not thier first habitation and was thrown out of HEAVEN so the bible tell us to either believe on the son of GOD of Not its your choice hell will be brought forth with the dead and be judged by thier works and those that are not fount written in the LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE will be cast into hell and the last enemy that will be destroyed will be death and hell and cast into the lake of fire you don't have to believe what the bible says thats your choice you all can claim to be scholars and say the bible is wrong but I'll trust in GOD to be able to keep his word just like he wanted us to have it.
Just think what if the bible was wrong {and i know it is not} but just say what if and i when i die beliving that it was all right then what did i lose NOTHING but on the other hand you die not beliveing and find it is right just like it says what will you lose everthing HEAVEN
THE BIBLE SAYS WHAT WILL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR YOU SOUL
JESUS IS GOD'S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON WHO SOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM HATH EVERLASTING LIFE
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
I'M SAVED AND WAITING
Rev 20:13 the dead are judged by their works not their sins. since he that is dead is freed from
sin.Romans6:7 KJV so think about it, you spent a
short time here on earth.did you use that time to
do the will of god or just your own?
to jennifer.I agree with you and wish you well
in your study.Hope to see you in the kingdom
when it's here on the earth.Jehovah is the most
high over all the earth. Ps 83:18.we need more sisters like you. Darren D
In response to Darren D's comment, "hell cannot give up their dead"...and to Reese B's comment..."hell cast into hell" - there is no hell, this is a pagan teaching, there is no Hebrew/Greek word which translates into hell. From the New World Translation, Rev 20:14 - "death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire." This means that death and the grave will no longer exist, that is why during the "second death" Satan is cast into it forever. Lake of fire refers to an abyss, just as Samantha commented. I am studying to be a Jehovah's Witness but there are many other people who do not believe in hell and it has been proven that it doesn't exist. Just do a little research...
If we are taught that Hades is hell, this place of eternal fire and brimstone, then how is hell cast into hell as Rev 20:14 would imply? Hell then can't possibly be a lake of fire right?
the king james bible sure uses the word hell
alot.how could hell give up it's dead to
be judged?if there is a hell to burn people's
spirit forever wouldn't you have to have been
judged already to be there in the first place?
