Romans 10:17. All sin and fall short of the Glory of God. Noah was a good man but sinned by getting drunk. His son Ham took advantage of his fathers drunkeness and sinned His other sons knew this was wrong and covered their father, being careful to not even get a glimpse. All sin but all faithful can be forgiven John 3:16

Bitrus, the LORD Jesus is most definitely the Saviour of the world. He was found spotless, blameless, yet He knew no sin, but bore the sins of the world in His body. His betrayel turned into our blessing and He did it for us. Salvation is only a prayer away. Confess the LORD Jesus and believe in thine heart God raised Him from the dead, Romans 10:8. Also read Ephesians 2:8-9. God bless you!!!

John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

It is so very difficult to reach the the hearing of those who care little of Jesus's gospel. Needing nothing, enjoying aggression as entertainment, and blocking out any attempt to even consider there be a better way to live. My very own brother and sister are a classic example. My approach is love and laughter. As for the "hearing impaired " I should send by mail more pictures and letters.

Whenever we share the word of God we must invite the Holy Spirit to speak on behalf of us the words should come out from God's mouth rather than the knowledge of a man. Lets be aware of the false preacher, the defeated enemy will always give us confusion but Jesus is always there to fight for us. A true preacher is the anointed one and full if grace used by Jesus to share his good news for us.

Romans chapter 10 is Awesome Paul preaching to the church at Rome which had already obeyed Acts 2:38 telling them to continue to confess Jesus against all the persecution and false doctrine that was coming against the church of that day and they would be saved. God's Word will show you must be born of the water and Spirit John 3:3-5 , Acts 2:4, and 2:38 before we can confess Jesus 1 Cor 12:3

Vikki, It is true, scripture speaks for itself. Man's opinion means nothing. Understand God's righteousness from our righteousness Romans 10:3-4
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

I read some comments. I feel that the chapter of Romans is self explanatory. However I feel it takes an open mind and heart to hear and apply the word to ourselves. Reading is great but believing is another. I totally agree and honor the word of God. May God bless.
  • Donald on Romans 10 - 10 years ago
I think that this chapter makes it very clear that no matter how many degrees you have, unless God calls you to preach you are not a preacher. the Bible also states in 1Corinthians that God chose the foolishness of preaching to get the word out.
  • Irene123 - 10 years ago
Lenetra - you don't 'pray' for forgiveness; you 'do' acts 2:38 - just as Peter said. then you can pray for the infilling of the Holy Ghost - which is evidenced by God taking over your tongue and speaking through you. Romans 10:13 was to an already established church of saints that had already done Acts 2:38. be sure to read Rom. 10:14 - "....without a preacher"? Heb. 10:25.

I think it is pretty clear that God's intention, plan and purpose was for all people to be saved and to receive everything He has in store for them. Of course the Promise was offered to the Jews first, after all they are His people, they were the ones who were to go out into the world to teach, and preach with signs, wonders and miracles. Through faith, the hearing and obeying the Word we are too.

Romans 10:18 "But I say; Have they not heard? Yes, verily their sound went Into all the earth and their words unto the ends of the world." The "sound" "their words" is telling the gospel of Christ. Some false teachers say everyone has not heard the gospel. God says everyone has heard it.

Here is what I wrote after reading Romans Chapter 10: ROMANS CHAPTER TEN LOOK AT ROMANS, CHAPTER TEN, VERSE NINE. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVERY LINE. TWO THINGS MUST BE DONE TO BE SAVED NO EXCEPTIONS, THIS CANNOT BE WAVED. FIRST ONE COMES STRAIGHT FROM THE MOUTH NOT MAN S, BUT GOD S WORD SO DO NOT POUT. JESUS IS THE LORD, THESE WORDS MUST BE SAID COMING OUT OF THE HEART, AND NOT THE HEAD. BELIEVING GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD IS TRUE. THIS IS CONVEYING THE SECOND THING YOU MUST DO. CONTINUE ON TO THE TENTH VERSE, AND YOU WILL FIND MORE AMAZING TRUTHS ARE SAID IN THIS TENTH LINE. WITH OUR MOUTH CONFESSION MUST BE PROCLAIMED FOR THE PROMISE OF SALVATION TO BE GAINED. WITH THIS HEART-FELT BELIEF, COMES RIGHTEOUSNESS. TIME IS SHORT, SO DO NOT HESITATE OR MAKE A FUSS. GOD IS TRUE TO HIS WORD, PUT GOD FIRST ALWAYS. HE WILL OPEN YOUR EYES, AND REMOVE THE HAZE HE IS OUR SAVIOUR, COMFORTER, TEACHER, AND MORE. HE HAS PROMISED GIFTS AND TREASURES GALORE GOD IS LOVE AND LIGHT THAT WILL NEVER DIM SEARCH FOR HIM . HE WILL LET YOU FIND HIM THESE ARE WORDS STRAIGHT FROM HIS BOOK WHY NOT OPEN YOUR BIBLE AND TAKE A LOOK. GOD IS CALLING ALL SINNERS TO REPENTANCE MANY ARE HESITATING, JUST SITTING ON A FENCE. DON T MISS OUT AND LOSE YOUR HEAVENLY PLACE THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR HIS CHILDREN VIA GRACE

Angie, 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Ezekiel 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Faith comes by hearing the word of God over and over and over and over and etc. , again and again and again : Read the word of God out loud : you can hear then : Not only am I to hear the word of God , I am to hear ,receive ,perceive what the word of God is saying. Never get in a hurry in reading the word of God : Slowly and let the word of God speak to you. I love God's word. I believe we , I am to be in God's word daily. I want a fellowship with my Lord Jesus and God my Father. I must get on the same level that He is on !!!!

Jesus criticized people who taught requirements that God did not have: "You experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them" Luke 11:46 .
  • Jeff on Psalms 11 - 10 years ago
Good works alone will not get us to heaven, in fact works has nothing to do with salvation. We are saved by God's grace alone. Salvation is a free gift from the Lord, and our works after that are our choice-though God does expect us to live by the book. Because of our sin, we are separated from God. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 The Penalty for our sin is death. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 The penalty for our sin was paid by Jesus Christ! But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 If we repent of our sin, then confess and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from our sins! For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 ...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9,10
