How Does Trust in God Translate into Daily Life? pt1

Hello to all, I have read somewhere the following:

Trust in God is not an abstract concept. It translates into specific practical behaviors and inner states that affect the way we live, think, and face challenges.

    1. In Dealing with Anxiety and Fear

    "Trust turns fear into peace"

Practical Translation: Instead of being paralyzed by worry about the future (job, health, finances), you do what you can and then leave the outcome in God's hands.

Inner State: You adopt the mindset: "I have done what is humanly possible. Now, I trust that God, who sees the big picture, will provide the best for me, according to His will." This brings inner peace ( Psalm 46:1).

    2. In Decision Making

"Trust provides guidance and removes uncertainty"

Practical Translation: Before making a big decision (career change, moving), you pray for guidance and wisdom, rather than relying solely on your own logical abilities.

Inner State: You recognize that God's wisdom surpasses your own. You trust that if you commit the decision to God, He will "He shall direct thy paths." ( Proverbs 3:5-6), even if the path seems unclear at first.

    3. In Interpersonal Relationships

"Trust in God affects how we view others and ourselves".

Practical Translation: When you feel wronged or hurt, instead of holding a grudge or seeking revenge, you trust God to bring justice or comfort. You focus on forgiveness.

Inner State: You rely on God's Love for your worth, rather than seeking constant validation from people. This makes you freer and less demanding in your relationships.

    4. In Trials and Difficulties

    "Trust turns pain into opportunity"

Practical Translation: When you face an illness or loss, you don't see the situation as a dead end, but as part of a larger plan.

Inner State: You believe that "all things work together for good to those who love God" ( Romans 8:28). This faith allows you to look for the lesson or empowerment hidden within the trial, keeping hope alive.

What a great chapter. I'm reminded of Romans 8:31b: "If God be for us, who can be against us?" And we just have to "stand still and see the salvation of the LORD" ( Exodus 14:13). "..for the battle is not yours, but God's." ( 2 Chronicles 20:15b).

    The human mind (part 3)

Many have argued about whether God has a sense of humor; I would venture to say that it is very helpful in terms of ourselves when we can laugh at our own foolishness. Pride is a major barrier to growth; and learning our own weaknesses is never enjoyable.

Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

I have commented before on the prayer I am afraid to say; namely asking God to do His job to chastise and correct. It is pretty foolproof; you can count on Him answering it and probably means people will be involved in correction; some of which are in church; others in the world and no doubt the enemy will be allowed to target a few choice arrows your way. Having a bullseye on your back ain't fun but we have to get over having special status; our Lord and Master suffered and surely His servants likewise.

Not this concept certainly isn't going to win any converts who are just interested in lip service; unless they have a self destructive bent. The world can't be expected to get it; no doubt they default to wanting to be left alone to do their thing.

Knowing Christ rather than about Him is key. Our transformation in the mind and soul is revolutionary. To truly be saved IS to be dead to sin; yet we still have that capacity as we can't say we are without sin. The regenerate heart is truly born again and a new creature. The scripture is opened up as our soul testifies to the truth ( Romans 8:16); and of course we are "all taught by God" ( John 6:45). This love is transformative; or Agape. One HUGE fallacy today is that we somehow are taught to believe that being loving enough somehow aids to such a transformation. That is a partial truth; IF the Spirit is working on someone that is the case; and we certainly have no business not being loving; but even grumpy people He can use.

    Hi Gerald.

I understand your reasoning in what you say "that image has been so lost and marred by the fall of man and of sin it'

I held that view also but Genesis 9:6 bothered me.

I do believe we are born sons of Adam and have to be born again to become sons of God.

John 1:11-13 reads, "He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

I don't believe being made in the image and after likeness of God is the same as becoming the sons of God.

Did man have to be redeemed or restored back to the position Adam had before the fall, perhaps to the image and likeness or "perfection" he had before the fall?

Was Adam perfect in a way he couldn't fall? No.

Was Adam covered by the blood of the lamb at birth? No, when Adam sinned, he died!

As sons of God, we cannot fall! We have eternal life NOW!

Adam was given dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Adam lost that and ALL of creation has been cursed until this day.

We have been justified but have yet to be glorified.

We along with all creation awaits to be fully redeemed. "That's when our body's will be redeemed.

    Romans 8:17-23.

Being made in the image and likeness of God was Adam's makeup, not his eternal state.

Christ was projected to come into the world as the Lamb to take away the sins of the whole world before Adam's transgression.

    Blessings.

The effects of the covenant: Blessing or curses

There are different covenants which exist; some are case specific for national Israel and others affect all mankind. Thinking about this a bit further, I would say that in addition to God's provision for Adam and creation of a covenant of marriage (which man merely participated in with the consummation) He also had the conditions of remaining in the garden of Eden whose terms of course were broken. What we learn from the fall of man is that death came to Adam and Eve; which started with the fall of the soul of man followed by eventual physical death that caused all of creation to groan to this day ( Romans 8:22). This caused the need for the "second Adam" ( 1 Cor. 15:45) to be necessitated; as prophesied in the first prophecy in scripture in Genesis 3:15 about Christ's atonement for sins; which had its first foreshadowing with the first animal sacrifice by God Himself in Genesis 3:21 for clothing.

Because we are all under what is termed "original sin" which in fact causes a fallen nature of the soul and spirit of man none of us can escape God's judgment as HE DID ALL THE WORK in creating us as eternal beings ( Ecclesiastes 3:11 "eternity in their hearts). The universal marriage covenant; however formal or informal the ceremony is holds men accountable for the vows they make; Numbers 30:2 is just one example: If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. Ecclesiastes also discusses this; and for marriage specifically we see in 3 of 4 Gospels God's original design of making two into one flesh and what God joins together man is not to tear usunder. ( Mark 10:9).

The case specific covenants for Israel and its Sabbath day restrictions certainly point to Christ as He is Lord of the Sabbath ( Matt. 12:8). He has a new covenant because of His atoning death ( Heb 9:16-17) for us.

    Hello Gerald,

Thanks for this helpful information. And yes, you are correct that in some ways we differ in perspective on some history, but we can read historical accounts to gain understanding of the factors that led to the historical changes God used through time to advance His kingdom, Church, and witness.

I understand that you are UK citizen. I am a U.S. citizen. We have a lot of commonality in our historical past, as many who colonized the New World were from Great Britain. But the U.S. as it grew westward was influenced people from many other nations (mostly European in the early centuries).

I do firmly believe that God is control of all history and works it out according to His plan and purpose decided from before creation as He knew all of what would come about because He decided what would come about in order to bring His purpose to fruition to His ongoing plan throughout history.

Through all the ways, bloodshed, high and low points in history, God promised in Romans 8:28 that ALL things are worked to the end of our good to those who love God and are called by Him according to His eternal purpose of election and blessing to those He determined to redeem through all time. We can rest with confidence that no matter how things work out in history, God does work within history to bring about good to His people.

Hi again June 316. As much as your question can generate various opinions, my belief is that if a Christian has truly been born again, having received the Holy Spirit to indwell, sustain & secure him/her, then it is impossible for that person to have God's Spirit abandon him/her for any reason.

It is however true, that if a believer should succumb to the enemy's temptations and does not take remedial action as the Holy Spirit directs, then there will be loss. Not a loss of the Holy Spirit or salvation, but the loss of sweet communion, maybe of some degree of estrangement if sin is allowed to persist, and of the Spirit's intervention by way of warning or discipline. Or the Spirit might even allow that erring soul to taste the depravity of his/her sin, so that they may come to their senses, repent, and be restored; the story of the prodigal son is a good example of a poor choice made and yet, of a waiting loving father who is ready to forgive, receive, and restore ( Luke 15:11-32).

Just a few verses to consider (and there are many more): John 10:26-29; Romans 8:33-39; Ephesians 1:13,14; Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 1:6; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Jude 1:24,25.

This is why we often read of the apostles encouraging believers to be on guard against the enemy of our souls, of sin creeping into the life, and not being involved in anything that even smells of sin; Why? Not for salvation's loss, but for suffering under God's Hand of discipline and the pain of estrangement from God.

Why should we entertain anything that breaks our special love relationship with our God & Savior & bring on ourselves sorrow upon sorrow? The Holy Spirit will always alert us when we err and will always bring us back, so salvation cannot be lost. But for those who feel no sorrow or estrangement when they stray, they do not have the Holy Spirit within them and are not saved. But while they have breath, there remains hope if they draw near to God, He will draw near to them. GBU.

I accept that as well Gerald, that the forty years belief (so often read in the Word), is taken as the norm. But it refers to the Israelite wanderings in the wilderness after the spies' report, and not their desert travels to get to the Promised Land. So, forty is probably an easy number to hang onto, since it is a clear number recorded several times in the Bible and easier to remember or include it in hymns.

Just quickly to your other questions: I feel the Promised Land would equate to the rest we, as believers in Christ, have in Him. We will experience tribulations and temptations, just as Israel did when physically in their Canaan, but it was their own God-given possession and rest from their bondage, struggles, & their enemies ( Deuteronomy 12:9,10). So, I don't equate the Promised Land with Heaven, for we still have our enemies, within & without, to fight & conquer.

Romans 8:37. Through everything that life or Satan might throw at us, if Jesus by His Spirit is reigning in us, we will, through Him, be victorious in every circumstance we face. It's never easy traveling down struggle street, but when our eyes turn to Jesus & not our circumstances, we find victory; and greater victory than a human conqueror may or may not gain, returning from battle; for the victory for those in Christ is certain, continually, through Christ alone.

Matthew 16:18. True, gates can be considered the weakest part of a fortified city, but it is through those gates that the troops issue forth to battle. Those symbolic gates of Hell are opened allowing destructive deceiving spirits to wreak havoc on humans, particularly against Christ's Church. But the true and faithful Church will stand strong against those evil forces, by attending wholly to God's Word and abundant Life in the Spirit, so evil cannot gain a foothold & will leave defeated. But they will return for sure - the Church must ever remain on guard, "for we are not ignorant of his devices". GBU.

    Part 2.

On to Romans 8 but let's pick it up where Paul left off in Romans 7 on in to Romans 8.

    Romans 7:24-25. through Romans 8:1-2.

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

    This is practical!

This is the doing of Christ Spirit in us.

Paul continues to elaborate on this in ch 8 verses 10-13.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

(BUT if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also QUICKEN YOUR MORTAL BODIES BY HIS SPIRIT THAT DWELLETH IN YOU)

This is not of our own efforts!

That's very true Bennymkje: Obedience is critical to understanding God's Word. But how one reads and understands God's Word determines the direction that obedience takes.

Take for example the oft-mentioned matter of the Sabbath Day. We all read the same Scripture and understand the giving of it & God's Command to observe it. So why don't all believers in Christ rigidly perform the requirements of Sabbath rest? It boils down to the type & worth of one's hermeneutics of biblical Truth (i.e. applying correct interpretative principles, analysis, and application). So, to one, the Sabbath command is in the Bible, uttered by God Himself, and so must be obeyed by all people. To another, the Sabbath command is indeed in the Bible, but both it and all the Laws given by God to Israel must be read & understood in its proper context or else we stray far from the Word.

One cannot correctly obey what God by His Spirit speaks to us through His Word, unless we understand what His Word is actually stating in context. God indeed told Adam, "In the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." And Adam had to understand it and then obey that Command. Would that Command apply to me today? Correct understanding tells me, 'No it does not apply, but it tells me about obeying God and repercussions for disobeying Him.

God tells Israel to obey His Commandments, to sanctify the Sabbath Day, as unto those under the Law and being judged by it. If I obey that command not understanding the context in which it is given, then I place myself, with Israel, under the Law, for the whole body of the Law is One; and that curse is upon me ( Galatians 3:10). But I choose not to obey that Law (along with the others) and place myself wholly under the directives of the Spirit Who frees from the Law that reveals sin and promises death ( Romans 8:2). Correct hermeneutics is essential or else we could anything we want with God's Word, and teach others accordingly.

    Food for thought...

Christ is omnipresent and not bound by the limits of time or space. When Jesus promised in Matthew 28:20, "lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world," He declared His constant presence with every believer, no matter where they are. David proclaimed in Psalm 139:7-10, "Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there." This eternal reality points us to Christ as God in the flesh ( 1 Timothy 3:16), unlimited in His power and presence.

When Jesus walked the earth, His physical body was localized, but after His resurrection and glorification, He transcended all limitations. In John 14:18, He promised, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." This is fulfilled through His Spirit indwelling each believer ( Colossians 1:27, Romans 8:9-10). At the same time, He intercedes at the right hand of God ( Hebrews 7:25), proving He can be present in heaven and in the hearts of His people simultaneously.

Christ Himself said in Matthew 18:20, "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Paul declared in Galatians 2:20, "Christ liveth in me." Yet John also saw Him walking among the seven churches ( Revelation 1:13). These passages show that Christ is not confined but active everywhere at once.

This truth is a source of comfort: He hears the cry of the saint in a prison cell, strengthens the missionary across the seas, and walks beside you today. Truly, He is Emmanuel, "God with us" ( Matthew 1:23), never distant, never absent, always present to guide, comfort, and uphold His people.

To all that be i Christ,

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2nd Cor. 5:19

2 Corinthians 5:19 teaches that in Christ, God reconciled the world to Himself, not imputing (counting) people's sins against them. This reconciliation is complete, covering sins of the past, the present, and even those of the future, because Christ's sacrifice was once for all.

Past Sins: The believer's past life of sin has been fully forgiven through Christ's blood. "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses" ( Colossians 2:13). God does not hold a believer's former life of sin against them: "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus" ( 1 Corinthians 6:11).

Present Sins: As believers still live in the flesh, we sometimes stumble, yet Christ's sacrifice continually avails for us. "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous" ( 1 John 2:1). His righteousness is always applied to us: "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin" ( Romans 4:8).

Future Sins: Because Christ's sacrifice was once for all, even future sins are covered. "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God" ( Hebrews 10:12). This does not encourage sin but assures us that no sin can separate us from God's love. "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life nor things present, nor things to come shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" ( Romans 8:38-39).

    Any thoughts?

    Some general concepts.

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness we not that He didn't dispute Satan when offered all the kingdoms of this world. It had to be so as to Satan's temporary domain over these things or it wouldn't have been a temptation at all. Of course he was totally defeated after probably anticipating Christ was defeated on the cross; only to have the resurrection 3 days later. The true victory happened the second Jesus drew His last breath on the cross when He said "it is finished."

Ultimately; despite almost wiping out all of mankind numerous times in history our enemy is in a defeated position. His complete failure is demonstrated in the fact that it is impossible for even one soul that he has worked so hard to attempt to keep in darkness can be held back from salvation if God so chooses to reveal Himself to them through His Son and of course through the power of the Holy Spirit. Once the statement in John 14:23 comes to pass the Godhead lives within a person and sin no longer can prevent what Romans describes as sancrification and glorification ( Romans 8:30). The process of a born again soul inevitably heads toward this eternal heavenly state and there isn't anything the enemy can do to change that.

We of course are not ignorant of his schemes; and naturally the accuser will continue to find ways to attack us at every opportunity. It is clear though that today even with the wickedness of men at unprecidented levels we see more and more people detransitioning; for instance and coming out of the occult; drugs; and other deviant behaviors as God clearly calls them and works in their lives. It seems we see less of those who we may consider less controversial these days coming to faith and that no doubt is in no small way related to the watered down Gospel today which won't press people to confront their own sick hearts ( Jeremiah 17:9); and desperate need as Jude says to be taken out of the fire.

Yes even nice people need God.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Dear all of you who ponder the Word. I'm going straight to the point.

Are we alive or are we dead Christians? What does the scripture say. Now, I've just mentioned a few scriptures. Are we alive or are we dead? We are dead to sin, right? Rom 6:11-13 So what does alive mean in that context? Are we alive or are we dead? 2 Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. So in plain text it must be that in sin there is death. And in the Spirit there is life. So what are we dead or alive? In Ezekiel 37 it says about the dead bones. Which God made alive. Quite interesting, as we ask ourselves today whether we are alive or dead. When we know that the Spirit that lives in us is alive forever. Of course we will be too. So our living spirits today will never die. So are we alive or are we dead? We live for all time. So what happens then, when Jesus comes back. We are not dead! We live no matter if we have been dead in the body we carried for 100/1000 years, we are still alive with Him when He comes. In the Spirit.

What that means, I won't say more, but each reader must judge for themselves. What happens then?

    Love u all

I completely agree with you. One of the major misconceptions today is the true meaning of "grace." From a biblical standpoint, grace is unmerited favor.

The Law of Moses revealed our inadequacy-how despicable, miserable, and sinful our ways truly are. However, it did not provide the power to overcome these sinful tendencies; it merely exposed the problem. No one could perfectly keep the law ( Romans 3:12-20, Galatians 3:19, Romans 7:10). As Scripture says, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God ( Romans 3:22, Galatians 3:20, Romans 7:13-14). Jesus Himself highlighted this when He said, "There is one who accuses you, even Moses, in whom you trust." This referred to the Law of Moses, which the Israelites relied upon, yet it only revealed their inability to live righteously ( John 5:45-46).

Grace came to assist those who were unable to keep the law, enabling them to fulfill it. Grace does not make the law void; rather, it establishes the law by empowering us to obey it. As Paul explained, "the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us who walk according to the Spirit" ( Romans 8:3-4).

This principle is illustrated in the parable of the Good Samaritan. A traveler was wounded by thieves . The priests and Levites-representing the law-saw him but could not help. The Good Samaritan (Jesus), however, freely offered aid-representing grace-healing the man from his wounds, which symbolize sin. We partake in this grace by receiving the Spirit of Christ, which helps to walk according to the Spirit rather than our sinful flesh and desires.

The Holy Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of holiness. One cannot continue in sin and claim to possess the Holy Spirit. Grace delivers us from sin; it does not provide permission to remain in it ( Romans 6:1-2). Paul even warned against this attitude in Romans 3:8, where some falsely claimed that continuing in sin was a way of doing good.

Permit me to follow the example of Elihu and act in accordance with his statement in Job 32:21-22.

In a previous comment, you emphasized the importance of properly considering a matter before speaking, so as not to appear as "fools." I wonder if perhaps the claim that Christ will reign with the saints on earth was rebutted too quickly, without sufficient consideration.

The 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 14:2-3 are described as the firstfruits of those saved in Israel after the rapture, as verse 14 clarifies. However, this does not imply that Christ will not return to earth with them. They will return together with all who have inherited salvation, as seen in Revelation 21:1-3.

It is also important to note that the New Jerusalem, symbolically represented as the Bride, represents the spiritual Church or body of Christ. This is supported in Hebrews 12:22, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Peter 2:5, and 1 Corinthians 3:9. Only those who have received the Spirit of Christ are considered part of the Church of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:9).

This Church will return to earth and reign with Christ for a thousand years, as indicated in Revelation 20:4, Revelation 12:5, and Revelation 19:15.

As Elihu said in Job 34:22: "If you have understanding, hear this; listen to the voice of my words."

Please note that my words are not intended as insults or to cause offense, for that would not reflect the love that the Lord Jesus expects from us. Rather, my intention is to encourage careful consideration of matters from a biblical perspective, rather than relying solely on worldly opinion. As the Lord Jesus said, many teach the traditions of men as doctrine, and as Paul says, we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.

More general thoughts related to Matthew 5:9

    Isaiah 1:5 says

"Why should ye be stricken any more? Ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint."

This and much of the rest of this chapter discusses the state of Israel and the inevitable judgments to come; not only for them but all the nations of the world. This "domino" effect certainly is soon to come as first in the present time the church is being judged first ( 1 Peter 4:17); then the Jews as Romans 2:9 indicates Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;. This theme; of course is repeated in Revelation and other O.T. prophecies regarding the Apocalypse.

James 4:4 and many other passages indicate our enmity with God or the word enemies which is basically the same concept. This of course is the reason the world is hostile and dangerous; and by and large God's children are eventually directly targeted.

This answers the ultimate issue or causation of today's worldwide geopolitical situation which seems a hair's breath from Armageddon.

Now of course the enemy of our souls is the ultimate chess strategist and has set up kings along with corresponding powers and principalities ( Ephesians 6) to be in position for his endgame plan which God will allow so it is going to happen. God ultimately; of course will draw all nations to the valley of Meddigo to ostensively fight one another but then turn to fight Christ. This is the truth and we have to accept it. It is also the case that every day souls are perishing; some to heaven others not.

This isn't a path we can navigate apart from the Spirit of God. I realize these are general concepts here and perhaps not necessary for many. I would make another general statement here that it is clear from scripture that some are saved and others not but losing one's salvation isn't possible. The caveat here is that we know ( Romans 8:16) if we are saved.

    A,

Sometimes I think that the man crucified on one side of Jesus' cross is the most fortunate of all. He had run all his days after the world ; after natural instincts and ended up in great trouble. We do not know whether some incidents in his life caused him to become a criminal deserving capital punishment. Yet, God loved him; and arranged his execution to happen near the Cross. God loves everyone; the criminals on the left and the right side had equal opportunity to be near Jesus' cross at death, but one turned to Jesus, recognised Him as God, prayed to Him for help and received assurance of eternal life. The other man did not make use of the 'golden opportunity' which God had arranged for both of them, and was lost.

Dear A, beloved child of God, although I could not grasp your grievances completely, I understand you are in great agony and trouble; you cannot free yourself from it, and none of your people would be able to help you. Still there is hope. There are many citations in the Bible for everyone that undergoes suffering, due or undue . ( Psalms 34: 4-8)

Approach God and pour your sorrows before Jesus, the Son of God. The Holy Spirit will lead you to freedom from the bondage of this corruptible world which leads to death and eternal suffering, to glorious and everlasting life with the Son of God, that is Jesus Christ. ( Romans 8:16-21)

It is most encouraging that you sought advice from the Bible. Hold on to the Word of God. He is the author of all comfort. Isaiah 66:12,13.

    God bless.

Thank you The Bible Alone for your question, which of course is very appropriate, but the essential question should be to define God's Love (which I referred to in my last reply to you), for that must surely be the basis for Who God is and the performance of His Will and Actions in regard to His creation. Nevertheless, I shall answer the question you've given now.

The most relevant Scripture is found in Romans 8:29,30, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."

In this passage, we see the apostle writing generally about all who belong to the LORD, both of Jew and Gentile ( Romans 8:1, "..no condemnation to THEM IN CHRIST JESUS"). And so Paul writes "to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" ( Romans 8:28). So vv 29,30 then makes it clear, that from the first moment in executing His Plan to save sinners, right up to the end where He has glorified that sinner with the marvel of His Salvation & Adoption into His family, God's Plan for the sinner was based on something, not of ourselves, but entirely of God.

The word 'foreknew' (from 'foreknowledge') is very clear in meaning; for the Greek itself ('proginosko' means 'to know beforehand, to foresee'). So, as Paul writes, the basis of God predestining his children, is to be conformed to His Son's Image, so He called them (or, invited them) to His redeeming Love. To those who responded, He justified as "not guilty" based on that great substitutionary Work of Jesus on the sinner's behalf and we were glorified with His Spirit renewing us, the Triune God indwelling us, and being brought into God's family. Onto Page 2.

    Amen Lbooth1955.

Romans 8:28-29 reads, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

FOR WHOM HE DID FOREKNOW, HE ALSO DID PREDESTINATE to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17.

God knows all things and he knew who would come to him and he predestinated them to be conformed to the image of his Son!

    Blessings.

Listening to the tree frogs and crickets again. Seems like with the cool spells coming they won't be around much longer.

As we see in scriptures; all creation groans awaiting our redemption; Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. Just how our glorification affects things is interesting; certainly God is concerned for and created all animals and plants for a perfect earth that has been marred but will be renewed in the Millennium and recreated thereafter. Death has affected animals as well; Solomon mentions this in Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? I don't see any reason why animals can't be resurrected as well but can't necessarily prove it-clearly though they were created originally to live forever but man has a unique comprehension of eternity as other Ecclesiastes verses show.

Since we face spiritual battles daily; we always want to be cognizant that indeed we are in enemy territory. Whether or not we are currently recipients of physical persecution or not evil can; if the Lord allows will come at us often unexpectantly. Just because humans as agents of the enemy are not always present the battles in the heavenly places are raging constantly.

We won't know on this side of heaven how those praying for us or vice versa has preserved us from many more things than would be otherwise; and also how local communities can be improved by the consistent prayers of a remnant still committed to consistent prayer.

All good gifts come from above. ( James 1:17; translated in part). The context of the rest of the passage shows God's consistency. In this world; health; beauty; mental acumen and other traits of youth change as our outer man slowly dies away. As a father pities his children,

So the Lord pities those who fear Him.

    14 For He [a]knows our frame;

He remembers that we are dust. ( Ps. 103

Hello all dear brothers and sisters. So good that you mention this "Chris" because when it are a talk about Babylon I was a little unsure. I hope it's okay if I drop in on your conversation, because I didn't know this. From old maps I mean Babylon from ancient times was in what we call Iraq today. So a church there, well, nothing is impossible for God. There are many secrets if we are open to them. God bless us all, in Jesus Name. Romans 8:12-17

Praise be to God Almighty, Father and Creator, You who see all things. We praise Your Holy Name, We humbly come before Your throne and cast our cares upon You, Jesus Christ. You who have passed through the Heavens that we might walk in Your works. We come to You with our cares and in our distress we ask that You would give Your ear to our prayer. So that You would open Your treasure chambers to "My name is Samuel Fashina from Nigeria", for growth in the church. Who always will give Your Truth from Your Word with willingness. Give light to all who hear. From now on and forever. In Jesus Christ holy Name, above all other name, Amen. Romans 8:31-39

Dear God, Father in Heaven, we pray for "Robert Wilkins", that You Jesus look at his sufferings. No one else but You Lord can repair what has gone wrong here. We ask for an abundance of patience and a great desire to walk again. Fatigue be gone, never come back in Jesus Christ's Holy Name. Amen. So we humbly ask that You strengthen him in spirit, soul, and body and give him the strength he needs to endure the day. Amen in Jesus Christ's Holy Name, Amen. Romans 8:18-30 Love u in Christ Jesus
