Jesus was a Hebrew. The 1st man to be called Hebrew was Abram ( Genesis 14:13)

Jesus was Semitic (Shem), with color and tone similar to their Arab cousins

Today's Jews are Ashkenazi ( Genesis 10:2-3) they are 7th century Khazar converts of Japheth. ( Revelation 2:9)

( Genesis 9:27) God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Sounds like Canaan will be a slave to his two brothers ( Isaiah 14:1-2)

Jesus IS Jewish. At the time of His presence on the earth, the average Jewish man in Israel could be described as having black hair, olive skin, and shorter than the average American today. He did not stand out of the crowd and would have been considered very common.

Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Of course He looks different today.

Rev 1:13-15 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Five covenants are crucial for understanding the story of the Bible and God's redemptive plan:

    the Noahic Covenant

    the Abrahamic Covenant

    the Mosaic Covenant

    the Davidic Covenant

    the New Covenant.

As mentioned earlier, we can't be completely sure about the present day countries that are reflected by those names given in Ezekiel 38:1,2. Therefore, many are loathed to publicize their impressions. However, some have & generally they have assumed the following: since Magog, Meshech & Tubal were all sons of Japheth (Noah's son), & it is supposed that Japheth moved into those northern parts of Europe: Ezekiel 38:15 (i.e. the vast area occupied by Russia), then those names must have their counterparts in Russia. So Magog is seen as meaning "Prince of Rosh", or Russia. Meshech, as Moscow. Tubal, as a Siberian city. It is difficult to know how accurate these interpretations are, therefore I don't subscribe to them because of the burden to be accurate in biblical hermeneutics & thus what we share to others.

In Revelation 13:1-8, we see the vision given to the Apostle John of a "beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." And this beast was like a leopard, with the feet of a bear & a lion's mouth. If we refer to Daniel 7:3-7, we see similar animals but they denote the kingdoms of the world (v17). The Lion as King Nebuchadnezzar of the Babylonian Empire; the bear as the Medo-Persian Empire; the leopard as Grecian Empire; & the fourth, the Roman Empire. And out of the Roman Empire, was seen 10 horns. These were nations that had come out of that Empire (7:24), with one horn arising that will be prominent in the last days (Antichrist).

( Ezekiel 38:4) Esau, Gog, The king of the north, the beast = Russia.

4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: (Israel invaded at sixth trumpet)

Armageddon is not a battle ground, it is a gathering place for the beasts fractured army. When they see transfigured Jesus Messiah on Mount Zion, the reunited beast army will come down to their deaths.

  • Search Websites - In Reply on John 1 - 5 years ago
There are lots more Bible Teaching Websites.

    In Google,

Enter your verse of scripture and after it,

Type one of these: commentary or, teaching or, history or, meaning.

I generally read something from the first 5 listings. The further you go down the list, they can get a little bent.

You can Google a word; and type Hebrew meaning, Greek meaning.

Or, you can ask for an explanation in the version of Bible too.

I found one on Ecclesiastes that was so awesome to study.

ALSO, this website has a Commentary that you access by entering your scripture in the Search Box. Touch the verse and it will highlight yellow. Scroll down a little. Choose Commentary.

    Maybe Chris has some tips?

Revelation 22:18 - 19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

John 15: 2-8 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
  • Catholics and Virgin Mary - In Reply on 2 Corinthians 4:4 - 5 years ago
It's been a long time since I shared this.

I prayed much about the Catholic Church. It always hurt me to hear Christians say: all Catholics are going to hell.

I sought Jesus! He said to me direct and clear.

*DO NOT JUDGE. I say Yes Sir!

He said their Church has fulfilled a Prophesy. "ALL generations will call Jesus's mother, Mary,

    BLESSED.

I sit and ponder that a long long time. It's true. The only time of the year that Mary gets any recognition (by Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, and 7 pages of phone book ads)

happens at Christmas time. Brave Churches dare to put up manger scenes and have Bethlehem Programs the little kids can participate in. Some people put manger scenes on their lawn!

I hate what Christmas has become. Lights Competitions, nothing but lights everywhere. It's gaudy and I just turn the channel on tv. YouTube Premium actually has hundreds of Christian movies.

I would like to see a little teen-aged, engaged woman who was prophesied to be the mother of Jesus (her bloodline was chosen; as was Joseph's)

get some credit for her faith and trust in God. It almost feels like Jesus was the only one who wanted his human mother get some credit. That's my take on it. I know lots of people will disagree and dispute. I almost fell down when the Holy Spirit said, Don't Judge. It felt like a sonic boom.

    Love you all, Mishael

Earl, I'm not a Catholic. I share your burden for their souls. When I was doing street ministry in Tulsa, I ran into 2 teenaged Catholic young men who had just been told by a Christian that they were not Saved! They were visually upset. I made a quick prayer before I opened my mouth.

    'GOSPEL' came into my spirit.

I asked them if they believe that Jesus was born to a virgin named Mary? Yes

Did they believe that Jesus lived a perfect sinless life as a human? Yes

Do you believe that Jesus was arrested for claiming that he was the Son of Man and that His Father, God and He were one and the same? Yes

He was crucified on the Cross for the sins of all mankind? Yes

On the 3rd Day Jesus was resurrected and walked out of his tomb? Yes

I asked them if they had asked Jesus to come live in their hearts forever and be their Savior? Yes

I said let's pray. I prayed they would forgive the other Christian who confronted them and upset them. I asked the Holy Spirit to come be their Teacher and Comforter.

Their countenance was totally different after that. A precious peace just fell on all of us. I didn't load them up with a lot of do's and dont's. I trust the Holy Spirit to be their Convictor, as He is mine.

You can pray as Ezekiel did over the dry bones.. concerning Catholics and their need for so many rituals. It's a powerful prayer and allows you faith to see the bones rattle, and then stand up.

Something we should all be praying for people in Israel too. (They are the bones)

We can see the dead dryness in people we know, or know of. Dead spiritually. If we pray to the Lord as the saints of Christ and Jesus sits at the right hand of God; making intercession for ALL SAINTS....my Bible says: call those things that be NOT, as though they ARE. Keep that in mind when you pray for those "heart-hardened cases", that we all know. "Thus saith the Lord: you will proclaim Jesus as your Lord!"

    Same for JW's, Mormons, etc

  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 10:11 - 5 years ago
Jesus was a middle eastern Jew who walked a lot outside in the sun. Some groups WANT Jesus to be a different skin color though and work very hard to find verses that support their desired skin tone. I don't believe the motivations behind this are sound and I think if Jesus was here in front of us He would condemn that and question their motives. It's as if people are fighting over this trying to score points for their own 'team'. That's opposite of what Jesus taught. Galatians 3:28 God bless...

    Matthew 16:18-19 KJV

[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

    Matthew 28:18-19 KJV

[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

    John 1:1-2 KJV

[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God.

    John 1:9-14 KJV

[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. [10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. [11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

    John 1:17-18 KJV

[17] For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. [18] No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

    John 3:16 KJV

[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    John 8:58 KJV

    Matthew 28:19 KJV

[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

    Acts 1:2-3,15,26 KJV

[2] Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: [3] To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: [15] And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) [26] And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

    Acts 2:1,4 KJV

[1] And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

    Acts 2:38 KJV

[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    1 Corinthians 12:3 KJV

[3] Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

    Colossians 3:17 KJV

[17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Brother David, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and His understanding.

    BELIEVE

Romans 8:3 For what the law COULD NOT DO, in that it was weak in the flesh, God sending his own Son, in the LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Christ; the Spirit of GOD was made in the likeness of US (sinful flesh); therefore, sinful flesh (US) was CRUCIFIED on the CROSS WITH CHRIST. Christ rose AGAIN; therefore, we also arose with him, now in LIKENESS OF CHRIST.

John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my saying, he shall NEVER SEE DEATH.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who hath part in the FIRST RESURRECTION .......

You DIED and now LIVE IN CHRIST AND CHRIST IN YOU; you will never die again, you will just CHANGE BODIES.

    Hi Suziq.

Jeremiah 17:9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

YOU ARE SO RIGHT, IN THE HEBREW I THINK IT ACTUALLY SAYS INCURABLY WICKED.

THAT'S WHY GOD DON'T REPAIR THE OLD HEART, HE GIVES US A NEW HEART.

Ezekiel 36:26-27. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Ezekiel 11:19. And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I WILL TAKE THE STONY HEART OUT OF THEIR FLESH, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Proverbs 3:3-6. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Even the desciples was confused throughout Jesus ministry.

John 6:60-63. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH; THE FLESH PROFITETH NOTHING: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU, THEY ARE SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE.

John 16:12-13. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I was just wondering on the comment of Bob Hilt. Correct me if Im wrong but it sounds a lot like your saying w theres no rapture before the last trump at the end of the tribulation. If so I dont agree and most of the Bible references you gave say that as well. If you read 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 there is a Trump but no number is given and it not only says the dead in Christ but also those who remain. It is only after that when the Antichrist revels himself. The dead at the end of the tribulation will rise they are the only ones that were saved during this event then Christ returns and sets foot on the Mount of Olives and will rule the Earth for a Thousand yrs. This is when the Earth will be restored Men will live longer and everyone and everything will prosper. This is my understanding and I stand by it thru KJV teaching. I have the original writings of Greek and Hebrew and as much as I have to compare KJV with them this is true and correct as best I know at present. Christ returns for the Saved Dead and the Saved Alive then we all return to Heaven, The Antichrist is reveled then the 7 yrs tribulation then Christ returns to Earth and rules a Thousand yrs then God Completely Restores Earth and a New Heaven and we Worship Him Forever n Ever Amen.
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Matthew 24 - 5 years ago
    Hi David.

I don't think you have to believe in the rapture or no other eschatology event.

Just believe in that what's written to be true. Believe in the gospel and build a personal relationship with the Lord. Go to him in faith and he will answer all questions in his time.

And it don't matter what religion you come out of, We all have been saved from something. "mostly self". God is faithful and stay in his word.

James 1:5-6. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
