What does it mean in Luke 9:27 Where Jesus said "I tell you there will be some standing that shall not taste of death till they see the kingdom of God" Will not taste of death. But all die

Who are the overcomers? Some groups say that this select fraction of the Christians will be raptured before the tribulation with the rest of the Christians left to go through varying lengths of the Tribulation.

    Richard,

I read your post and I just want to say Amen! And thank you for using 1 Corinthians 14:22. I believe that to be the only verse in the bible that specifically tells us what tongues are for. And I also believe that the only place we see its proper use is in Acts Chapter 2.

They spoke in languages (Tongues) unknown to them but known by those who were hearing them speak. Those "tongues" were actual known languages. They had no clue what they were saying. But the ones who heard them understood. What a beautiful picture of God's Spirit in action. Those who heard them speak in tongues knew that they had no way of knowing their native languages, adding more power to what they were hearing had to be from God.

I personally have never spoken in tongues. But if I ever do, I hope it is the same as those in Acts Chapter 2, God's power working through me to witness the gospel message to someone in their language, perfectly, a language I do not know. And like you, I know I have God's Spirit living inside of me. And by knowing that, I find comfort in knowing that I lack nothing.

And when we talk about "gifts," I believe the only gift we are promised is the gift of the Holy Spirit. I believe that is the only gift we are all given. Everything else is just an expression of God's Spirit and His grace!

    God Bless!!!

Exactly where in the bible one can find the scripture referring to age of Jesus being 33 1/2 years old when he died ?
  • Adam - In Reply on Matthew 6 - 5 years ago
Hi Wayne, what the Bible says about flat or round earth has been asked/answered recently, but maybe it wasn't yours.

Isaiah 40:22 says the circle of the earth which to me means round as a globe. This is reinforced by anyone who travels and knows they can fly in the same direction and end up where you started. There are other scientific ways to prove the earth is round too which is consistent with the Bible.

The verse you refer to say the 4 corners of the earth. To me, nothing in this verse indicates that the earth is flat. Revelations is also full of symbolism and visions which needs to be taken into consideration.

    God bless...

I assume your question is if it is a sin to have sexual relations outside of marriage and if so, the answer to that is yes. It's called adultery or fornication. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

yes, good evening. Can you explain why or who is to say, that the bibles books that were taken out, was information needed to make the whole bible work in another demention, then how its used today.

Answer my questions and I'll answer yours. Only 1 person here has knowledge of what I say. You want me to tell you sweet things, sweet things, now that was promised to me. Lord don't worry, you'll find out anyway, God sure gonna give you everything some day. But till the end I'm worried that my companions just can't seem to find their way.

    Hello Connie.

The passage is in Ephesians verse 3:14.

But to get a full concept I suggest reading 3:11-17.

    Good luck my sister.

Celibacy is not Bible doctrine. It was made by Catholics, along with their insulting and phony Lords prayer, in a gigantic book they call a bible.

I watched a discussion (2:35:43, I have no time for 10+ hours of Hovind) between Kent Hovind and Hugh Ross a Christian astrophysicist, old earth, day-age advocate hosted by John Ankerberg.

This way you can hear an opinion and a counter argument side by side, if you're interested.

One of the topics they discussed had to do with entropy and the second law of thermodynamics with respect to death before The Fall or not.

Nothing there to change my mind. Having been a staunch YEC for decades, I have, fairly recently (within the past 30 years, for a 79 year old), adopted OEC. I can debate this with a YEC, but I'd rather discuss topics that are more substantive.

I just wanted to point out that OEC does not automatically equate to evolutionist.

There is every indication that the false prophet of Revelation 13 is a sitting pope.

When Judah was held captive 70 years in Babylon, their elders learned Gematria. How to control large swaths of people everyday, using a numerical code. Gematria is the practice of coding numbers on to words, it is part of Kabbalah. Like word values have similar meanings, relationships. The grouping of numbers is abundant. English, the new world order language that was designed to fit the code. There is a why reason four and forty are spelled differently. Jesus Christ was put to death by this code, and the Lord knew it. The Knights Templar captured Gematria during the crusades from the Arabs, and brought it back to England. Nothing in America is done without the code, and once you learn it, you will understand. Govt, Media, Sports, Hollywood use the code to trick you. Everything is rigged years and decades in advance, so you never stood a chance. You worry about all the school shootings, when they are staged, by the numbers and presented to you on a silver platter. But for the ones that know what's going on, we are not fooled. We grow tired of explaining to a brainwashed world that they've been fooled, cause it's easier to fool you than convince you that you've been fooled. There is a master decoder on YouTube, named Zachary K. Hubbard. He is the only one to ever break the code, and yes, it puts his life in danger to expose the hoax so scientifically.

Here's an example: A=1,B=2,C=3,...Z=26 so ABC = 6 (English Ordinal).

Gematria numerical values EO SAT RO RS ALW KFW ES RES

    Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin =313 389 1223 1299 357 373 1878 2334

    Six hundred three score and six =313 389 1223 1299 357 373 1878 2334

Putin and 666 matches in 8 ciphers

He's the #1 candidate to destroy America, invade Israel at the 6th trumpet, fulfilling the abomination of desolation.

This is one of many reasons to believe Russia is the beast.

This is interesting. In 606BC the Jewish nation lost it's independence and never regained it until May 14, 1948.

Ezekiel prophesied 430 days or years against Jerusalem. Jerusalem fell in 587BC and was never occupied again as a free nation until June 7, 1967.

The difference is 6963 days, very close to the difference between 606 & 587BC!

Taking Ezekiel's 430 days of years and subtracting the 70 served in Babylon, leaves 360 years. Because of their stubbornness (actually 4 times in Lev 26:18, 21, 23-24, 27-28) their punishment is 7 times as much. At 360 days per prophetic year:

    360 years x 7 x 360 days per year = 907,200 days.

    Using the keisan cassio calculator:

    subtracting 907,200 days from May 14, 1948 = July 21, 537BC.

subtract 70 prophetic years, 25,200 days = July 24, 606BC, when the captivity began.

"And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?" Luk 21:7

"And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." Luk 21:24

"And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." Luk 21:29-32

    Pretty soon, I'd say.

3:18 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

So clearly written that I don't understand why some people bow down to the cross and worship Jesus?

I worship God my Heavenly Father and have been judged by man as delusional and blasphemous to declare that i am not a Christian or following Christian traditions. But I find myself seeking truth and this is what I find

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
