Thank you Jesse! Yes my brewery days have been over for quite a while :).

This maybe was the most amazing event I ever witnessed in my almost 30 years of being a born again Christian. My friend (a male) who I still hear from every year or so was Jewish but not really practicing what he had been taught. We were on a similar path until that day. Time remains. :)

God Bless the work in Jesus Christ and God Bless those who live in Him and share His peace!

    Stay the course Jesse.

    Carleton,

You have to forgive me for this, but sometimes I read things too fast and see words that are not there. When I was reading what you said, I thought I read that you were sitting next to a friend at an NYC Brewery. I thought what in the world is he doing at a brewery? Anyways, that's not what you said!

What an awesome testimony of the power of God's Word. His word is very powerful. Everyone has some sort of response to it. We either are drawn to it, or we want to get away from it. But there will always be a response. I pray for your friend that the seed which has been sown will take root in his/her heart and that he/she might see their need for Christ, and surrender their life to Him!

ACTS CHAPTER 2 VERSES 1-2 2 On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled,[a] all the disciples were gathered in one place. 2 Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind[b] rushing into the house[c] from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear!

Prayer: I pray that the overpowering roar of rushing winds fall upon our churches, our homes, and every place God's children dwell. I have a strong desire that all women and men of God be baptized again with a rushing wind and fire to declare the works of the Lord so that thousands upon thousands will be saved in 2021.

Lord destroy the devour, neutralize the power and works of the enemy. Cause your people to be baptized by the same power during the day of Pentecost to be a blessing upon the unsaved. Cause your people to become extremely distinguished in all the earth during this season of our lives. So everyone knee will bow and every tough will confess You JESUS the CHRIST SON of the Living God is LORE and you reign Now and forever. AMEN

    Brother Vince,

This being another subject in this thread. About how some seem to think the epistles of Paul are of some greater value or more special than any of the other books in the Holy Bible.

The writings, epistles, of Paul are important and unique. Though there are many people that pick and choose verses to try and fit their own narrative or belief. Also done with other Scriptures as stated by Peter.

I just want to quote two statements from the second epistle of Peter. Which someone had bad mouthed and called them some dirty name like they are not prophecy from God.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Then Peter prophesying about people taking Paul's writings and twisting them. Which is happening before our eyes today.

    2 Peter 3:15-16 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest(twist), as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

    God Bless.

    Hello brother Vince,

As I have posted a couple times in this thread. I apologize again as the comment I made to you was because I thought you pertained to me when you stated "Richard" in a reply. It seems it was the other Richard.

Following the posts being made in this thread it seems you and I have the same interpretation of these things in the Holy Bible.

Replying to some that may think it's all up to them which path to take. Which is true to a certain point. We have been blessed with free will and choice. It seems to be that some may not keep in mind that God knows everything past, present, and future. He knew the end before the beginning. He knows exactly who His chosen ones are as you stated. As Jesus stated "I know my sheep, they know me and follow me"(paraphrasing).

One other thing is how many times the Lord made parables about the saved and unsaved. So unless they do not agree with the teachings of Jesus in the four Gospels one might say "everyone is saved". Like I stated in another post it is a nice and loving thought but this is not what is taught in the Holy Bible. As I know of six different parables, teachings, from Christ that differentiate there will be the saved and unsaved. And weather any one person knows it or not yet they have been chosen before we took our first breadth.

    God Bless you brother.

I have a close friend who was sitting next to me at the NYC Bowery Mission while the Gospel was being preached. Tears were streaming down his cheeks as he listened. All of a sudden he tightened and shook and stopped what ever was happening inside of him.

This would be Herod Agrippa the 1st. He is the grandson of Herod the Great, the one who killed the babies during the Lord's birth. Herod Agrippa the 1st reigned from 37 to 44 A.D.

His son, Herod Agrippa the 2nd will be the one that Paul will stand in front of later on in the book of Acts.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Romans 5 - 5 years ago
    Mary,

Verses 7 and 8 of Romans Chapter 5 is showing contrast. Verse 7 says: For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

Humanly speaking, would you die for me? You might say to me "You got to be kidding! Me die for you?" Or you might say "Sure I will. Just don't take me up on it!" Maybe someone would for a good person, a benefactor.

But look at the contrast in Verse 8. It says But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    Can you imagine that?

Christ died for me, not while I was "getting my act together" or trying to be a "good person." He died while I was in a condition of being a sinner and His enemy!

    Who dies for their enemies?
  • Jesse - In Reply on Mark 4 - 5 years ago
No, not in that condition. The people in this section of the Parable of the Sower have hearts that are hardened. The word of God is just sitting there. There's no penetration. These are people who hear the gospel, but because of the hardness of their hearts, they do everything in their power to get away. As long as they continue on in this condition, they have no hope of salvation.

There are several places in the Bible that states "ALL" have the option of accepting or rejecting the gospel, all of us also have the truth of the knowledge of God built into us at production, it's on me if I choose to fly or deny!!!

What does Luke 5 tell about?
  • Vince - In Reply on Judges 7 - 5 years ago
Paul don't own a gospel. Jesus gave Paul a work to spread the gospel. Those who respond to the gospel are the ones chosen by God but we will all see who really were chosen on the day of judgment. Be patient. Man don't like to wait, but with God, all things are done in His time.

That line you quoted by Paul is one of the things I explained earlier; that is, Paul sometimes injects some of his former religious practices in the gospel and it takes knowing God's word in depth to see it. God bless you
  • Vince - In Reply on Judges 7 - 5 years ago
Are you implying that Jesus did His part of the work of salvation and the rest is up to us in order to complete God's salvation plan? This is a common theme amongst church going people, but as I have explained earlier, God's salvation plan is God's and God's alone, no human being as no part to play or contribute to his or her salvation. None deserves His mercy and grace. Salvation is of 3 parts, 1- CHOSEN, 2- PAYMENT FOR SIN and 3- RESURRECTION. 1 has been accomplished from before the foundation of the world( CHOSEN). 2 Jesus PAID for the chosen over 2000 years ago and 3 is the final part to complete God's salvation plan; the RESURRECTION from death.

Man agree that they can not pay for their sins and they also agree they can not resurrect themselves, but they think they can at least choose to be saved. If that's the basis of being saved, then only the very, very few who have the chance to hear the gospel will have faith which cometh by hearing. This topic is a very long one therefore I'm writing about this very issue in my book. I hope you will get a copy so you can agree with God's plan. God bless you

The best advice I can give to you is first and foremost, KEEP reading your Bible daily, read it slowly and purposefully. I trust no other Bible than The King James, I recommend getting a good study Bible, I use The Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible: KJV Edition it is an excellent Bible for studding. I study under an excellent Bible teacher named David Hocking; davidhocking.org. If you do a search on youtube for him you will find a great amount of videos of him teaching The Bible. A young man as yourself should start reading in Proverbs in the old testament, I only wish I had at your age. Then I would start in The Book of John.

Remember temptation is sever, Fight It At All Cost!

GOD Bless You and Keep The Faith

The Bible speaks of Jesus "knowing their thoughts" while He was on earth. Did He use His deity to KNOW or did He only perceive their thoughts?
  • Lou on Psalms 15 - 5 years ago
It is good to read this psalm & take to heart the righteous paths for one's own life. To seek them and remember serving others is Christ's will for His sheep. But, we cannot do it consistently.Oh we can desire it, oh we can try. But we are not able to do it consistently. This is where The Righteousness of Christ must cover us. Even the parable of The Good Samaritan shows us plainly the lavish love the Samaritan had for an unknown in need cannot be done by any of us. Of sure we can help, once, twice, maybe even a few times, or even many times. But stay with an unknown person overnight and fork over two months wages for an unknown in need to stay, heal, eat and lodge at an inn? Who does this? No we cannot do that. Maybe for ourselves, maybe for a family member, but certainly not for an unknown. And there is our failure. Not that we can't do the exact as the parable, but we cannot love as lavishly as God can. So we come short always of His Holiness. But Thank God & Our Lord Jesus Christ that Christ's righteousness has covered us to remove this condemnation. Praise be to Jesus Christ The Lord. Peace my brothers & sisters.

Thanks darren ,i shall look up your refferences and read them with a different slant ,as for the roman kings ,physically they could b the emporers and spiritually they could b the popes ? Any how i agree with you about Russia ,i belive they will lead a coalition which will include Israels neighbours ,however Israel is a special place and a special people to God ,i dont belive He will permit it or them to be totally distroyed ,they are His witnesses ,we are spirituall Israel , i belive Christ will return to put an end to Russias shenanigans and to stop the destruction of the land of Israel and the people in it . Sorry when i say we are spiritual Israel i mean Christians are ,if we are Christs then we are Abrahams and heirs according to the promise ,it will be very nice for me if i get to meet you and all the others on here when Christ returns .

Jesus did pay it all at Calvary, he completed his work, all the work. The hearers and the thirsty are invited into his righteousness, rest and peace by faith and repentance. The same, staying faithful, will know the presence of Holy Ghost while time remains.

Rome was the empire of the day, everything revolved around it. The Catholic church is ensconced with satan, the Jesuits (Jewish Christians) push Gematria and witchcraft. Past empires are interchangeable with current empires. The Bible will not explicitly tell you this, you have to think for yourself. It is no different than when Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia and Greeks held the same title. That is how prophesy flows. In our day, it is America that holds this title. We see in Rev 17 only that a new character has emerged, called Mystery Babylon, a new mighty end-time empire, a geopolitical and military superpower that rules the world. Outside it's America. Read Jeremiah 50 and 51 (like US states) as they both describe America to a T. Who else fits Mystery Babylon's description? Who is the beast from description?

-Mystery Babylon is America that gets destroyed.

-Babylon proper consists of America's allies, to include Israel that gets destroyed in the same hour.

Study the day of the Lord to see that "God's army", Joel 2:11, the northern army (Russia+) that obliterates the southern army ( Dan 11:40) to rule the world. Anti-christ sets up in the temple claiming to be God, unhindered. Where is America post 6th trumpet, and why is the beast the only empire around? The earth doesn't get knocked of its axis battling the RCC, an evil spirit. The whore America is no where to be found, hell has come to greet it at its departure.

America wants to sit a queen forever ( Isaiah 47) against Jesus, and the prophets. This Mystery Babylon, who's king (does Rome have a king?) hath heard the report of them (missiles), and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail, Jeremiah 50:43 Reap it America.

There are at least 90 scriptures concerning the day of the Lord strike. They tell the story far better better than I can. Many people are bias because they love America, up until the flame comes.

The wonderful thing is, there is no respect of person with the Lord. There's no doubt all our spirit goes straight to be with the Lord. Amen!!
