Solomon wrote all of Genesis you know.

Appears the Jewish prophecy of Solomon has been fulfilled and the directions followed. There are 2 churches involved in this and the treaty of Nicea adds more. The Jewish people remember were not all in favor of Jesus and the fulfillment of the scriptures all come to a head at this place we are in time and this is not the first time. Look back to many religions over time and it is not about being right or wrong when many recognize the LORD and that to be JESUS while others contest the name and remember, he has gone by many names throughout the milennia.

Your intensity in listening with out bias or preconceived ideas when reading the Bible , Gods word gets louder than all other views or interpretations. It's up to you to give ear to what Gods word is saying , your future depends on it .

I certainly will do, Curtis. The Lord is well able to minister His Help & Blessing even when we can't see clearly the road ahead. Our faith is the trigger for His action & outcome. I hope your son is also trusting the Lord for his need, or if not, then you are able to be beside him to guide & counsel him in this very important lifelong decision. And that all will proceed well for your wife & that in good time, she will be able to have dentures that will fit & work well for her. Often, some of the greatest help one can receive from us, is just to be there for those in pain & to share that burden with them. When it's borne all by oneself, then it may become unbearable, so your presence, your words of comfort & assurance & your prayers will be for their joy & healing. The Lord help you too as you share the load of your loved ones.

A Christian is a Christ follower. That's the literal definition. It's not a one time event, but an active lifestyle. To follow someone is an action. The opposite of that is to not follow or to do nothing. God won't force anyone to be with Him in heaven- He gave everyone freewill to choose for themselves what their priority is. In the New Testament, Jesus spoke a lot of parables about how most people will go to hell and few people will be saved (narrow is the gate). He gave a lot of warnings to people including his followers to avoid sin and keep His commandments. If someone wants to spend eternity and be in heaven this isn't something to be taken lightly. Sin is no joke.

This life is nothing compared to eternity and people often treat this life like it's everything, like they want power, money, status and that will 'make them happy'. Even though this has been known for countless years people still pursue it. The Bible says such pursuits are worthless. We should invest our treasures in heaven, not on earth. We are to be a light to the world in love and through our actions, not follow the world in sin.

While genuine Christians are imperfect and sinners and saved by grace, that doesn't mean we should not genuinely try to follow Jesus and obey His commandments. There are lots of verses I could quote in support of this, but these are easily found in reading through the Bible. Romans explains this in greater detail, as does James, etc. God bless.

I actually took the time to listen to that lengthy teaching on the Pre-Trib Rapture deception. He spoke very well & covered a lot of ground, but failed to be more explicit in certain areas that the pre-tribbers would also hold to.

a. The Great Tribulation is a special event in history when it is God's Wrath that is poured upon the world of unbelievers. The tribulations that come to us, whether coping with life's demands & challenges or going through various intensities of persecution & to the laying down our lives for the Lord, are not part of God's Wrath, but what comes to us living in a fallen corrupt world ruled by the prince of this World. And on this aspect the YT speaker dwells on. One would need to look at the fact that a believer who has already been freed from the God's condemnation through Christ, would he then have to face His Wrath for his & the world's 'wickedness'?

b. 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 which ties in with 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is taken as a separate event to the Day of the Lord not because of the specific events of the dead rising along with the saints to be with the Lord forever, but also what Paul was saying was a Mystery: something unknown or veiled beforehand, being revealed now. Just as the mystery of the Church ( Romans 11:25, Ephesians 5:32, 6:19, Colossians 1:27), so the mystery of the catching away that was not unknown before. The speaker never referred to this important point.

c. The escape of Lot & his family or of Noah & his from the pouring out of God's Wrath was not dealt particularly well by him. He emphasized that they escaped but the unbelievers were destroyed whereas in the Gt. Tribulation, it would not be so, therefore the analogy failed. However, I think that the emphasis is seen to be on the fact that God took out the righteous from the scene of His outpouring Anger.

These being a few of my observations from his talk, & though quite comprehensive & he being well studied, I remain unconvinced from his presentation.

The Son may not be God the Father, but He has all the attributes of the Father, which makes Him intrinsically & indivisibly part of the Godhead. After all, if the Word of God (that which proceeds from the Mouth of God), was given flesh (humanity), then it stands to reason that this Humanity (now called Jesus, God's Son) comes directly from the Godhead.

God could have done the same with His Spirit within Him, but the requirement for His Word that went out to His people (the Jews) by the prophets ( Hebrews 1:1,2), would now not only have God speaking directly to them rather than the prophets which they generally rejected, but that Word would even lay down His Life for them. And for this, Israel remains condemned by God for rejecting Him (i.e. the Father & Son).

Not one of us are sin free or, I guess pure, as some of you say. Do people who go to church every week and try to live a life with lots of church, Bible reading, studies, without drugs or alcohol believe that living this way, asking God for forgiveness, and being baptized makes you pure? Do you believe you will be we welcome in Heaven by the Lord over someone who doesn't go to church, has sex without marriage, uses & addicted to drugs, someone such as myself? It seems to be the belief by lots of religions is why I'm asking. One of you made a comment seeming to insinuate this as well. Ty

I believe there is a psalm, not sure, but it's something to the effect of this, "I heard your prayers all along, I never did not hear you, I answer prayers in my time, not yours"

Our Salvation is paid for us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross, and all we need to do is repent, and believe, (Faith) and live a Godly life, knowing that when we fail, and we all do, we need to ask for forgiveness in prayer on a daily basis, and also give thanks for all the blessing we also receive on a daily basis.

In Galatians, chapter 5 Paul explains the fruits of the flesh and the fruits of the Spirit, I pray this helps,

Genesis 25:1 I've sometimes wondered why the concubine Keturah had to come into the picture here. Abraham had questioned whether he could father a child at 100 years of age ( Genesis 17:17) and he is about 140 by this time. Isaac, his true heir and the son of promise, was at least 40 and had married Rebekah to insure the continuation of the lineage. And one of these sons of Keturah, Midian (verse 2) was presumably the father of the Midianites, who caused Israel so much grief later on ( Judges 6)

The genealogy of Shem (Noah's son) is being recorded here amongst others; it divides between the sons of Eber: Peleg & Joktan. And from Peleg the genealogy goes on to Abraham. So a part of Shem's descendants end in Babylon & the other with Abraham.

Therefore two lines of humanity diverge at this point: those who wanted to make a name for themselves and those to whom God would make a name, with the call of Abraham. Joktan's line went eastward where the Tower of Babel was built.

So I understand 1 Chronicles 1:19 & Genesis 10:25 (similar accounts) to show that the "earth's division (in those days)" was because of the forced separation (or division) because of the Lord's confusing of their common language which bonded all the families/tribes to stay together. And this was not God's intention, which required their separation from each other (Genesis chap 11).

Some might look at that verse as describing the separating of the land into various land masses & nations, but I don't follow that line of thinking in this instance.

Thank you Jack. I appreciated that clear explanation - sounds very plausible as minor textual (copyist) errors have been noted from time to time. Of course, these don't in any way take away from the veracity of Scripture, but it bears remembering that such small inconsistencies can appear, as in any writing/publication, that shouldn't warrant our complete rejection of the whole.

The first question one needs to ask is what is a Soul. The common belief is that a soul is the spiritual part of us, is eternal, and in passing our soul either ascend to heaven or descends to hell. Although in Genesis 2:7 we read that a Soul is the whole person (body and breath). The early Reformers taught and believed this.

Now what about death. The Bible talks about death as sleep. Psalm 13:3 "Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death". Jesus said in Luke 11:11 "--Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep."

The idea of an eternal soul is not Biblical. If we have within us an eternal soul that lives on after death then what need is there of a resurrection or the second coming of Christ. Paul explains this in 1 Corinthians 15:12-58.

(The spurious sanctuary being set up in place of the true sanctuary in heaven, which is what the terminus quem of 1798 A D. gives us.)

This is the antichrist beast of Rome who thinks to change times and laws of God, and who in their own words thinks to reinstate the the literal sacrifices (daily) that Christ caused to cease with his one perfect sacrifice.

This is the image of the beast (that great city), who like Babylon of antiquity, who thinks to usurp church and state craft.

The number eight is a metaphor for the resurrection. The eighth is resurrected from a former head of the seven; the 5th head that received a deadly wound.

(When he shall go into perdition: this will be the final dispensation of this beast with seven heads, that is a metaphor for satan.)

Jesus;

by counting the letter values of the Greek transliteration;

In antiquity the mountain was not only a metaphor for a kingdom, but it was also symbolic of the head of a (river) dragon that was symbolic of a river that flows out from a mountain, after the spring thaw and overflowing its banks, spreading out in the form of the dragon's tail.

The color is scarlet because it is symbolic of the blood of the saints of the Lord.

A woman in prophecy is always a metaphor for a church, in this case (Jezebel) it is the fallen temple of God.

The false prophet, a lamb (Christ like) with two horns, and/but will speak like a dragon (a wolf in sheep's clothing), will be the beast (from out of the earth ... the USA) that will make an image unto the first beast from out of the sea, who received a deadly wound and his deadly wound was healed.

The two horns are a metaphor for two (equal) kingdoms in one, church and state craft.

Medo-Persia also is expressed as having two horns [ Dan 8:3], but one was higher, (Persia) and eventually usurps the other.

This is the image of the first beast from out of the sea (Papal Rome). Once the wall of separation of church and state is lost, then will the second beast from out of the earth become the image of the first beast, who claims the authority of both church and state.

In conclusion, when the wall of separation of church and state is lost, then so too will the blessing that came with this separation be lost.

MYSTERY BABYLON

The seven headed beast of Revelation 17:

"Here is the mind which has wisdom"

The heads are symbolic of seven kingdoms, starting with the beast of Daniel 7;

1st < Babylon

2nd < Medo-Persia

3rd < Greece

4th < Pagan Rome

5th < Papal Rome; the little horn

("that was" & "is not" & "yet is")

6th < "one is"

The woman that rides the beast is in captivity at the time of John's vision, AFTER receiving the deadly wound from the (atheist) beast from the bottomless pit [ Rev 11:7]. This is the beast of THE TIME AND PLACE of John's vision IN THE WILDERNESS.

(Meaning that John is in the wilderness in his vision and not physical on Patmos, and he sees a beast that would come up from out of this wilderness. Read Job 38:26.)

7th < "is not yet come"

At the time of John's vision in the wilderness, this head of the beast was yet to come; this is the beast from out of the earth [ Rev 13:11];

(And he shall exercise all of the power of the first beast...) when this beast will speak like a dragon.



This beast must continue a short time, as per the others before him.

I believe by the testimony of Jesus, that we are now living in that "short time".

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

{ Revelation 17:8}

:11...even he is the eighth, AND IS OF THE SEVEN, and ascends out of the bottomless pit and goes into perdition.

--There are seven heads at the time of John's vision, five kings/heads/beast are fallen, so this eighth is of the five kingdoms...."that was"...."and is not"...."yet is" AND received a deadly wound; AND his deadly wound was healed.

This wound is the loss of her (the woman/church that rides the beast.) temporal sword (also her captivity), which is the earthly secular world kingdom.
