Ezekiel chpt 18 really contradicts what we are taught about the original sin. How can we be punished for the sins our Father Adam did thousands of years ago. Furthermore, he never asked us nor were we present. Nonetheless, our loving, forgiving creator promised us the opposit.

I love reading Gods word the Bible and have been helped

So much over the years and more than ever . Jesus is real to me , yet as I have learned I have witnessed that so many really don't know him , deception is massive and worse than ever . I have great experiences with God on a daily basis , yet so few have this , not people that I have met any how . The discussions on this web site do not help me , I'm not sure if sharing is worth it either . I'm quite happy with my experience with God and staying strong in the word and prayer is essential. The promises of God are worth more than fine gold .

I'm not complaining or anything but I do not desire conflicts either . But so many of you are deceived and don't know it .

My the Good lord be merciful to you if you are able to receive it ! God bless you all ! Bob

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for the detailed response. I have a better understanding of why Jesus was not sinful.

So you had referenced Heb 4:15 and I have been reviewing this passage along with Heb 7. In particular I noticed that Jesus was referenced as a High Priest through the power of a life that cannot be destroyed ( Heb 7:16). I have 2 questions:

    1. Is it though this power of a life that cannot be destroyed that explains why Jesus cannot sin (or did not have a sinful nature?

    2. I do not know or understand the backstory of the high priests. Specifically in Heb. 7: 15-28, what was wrong with the old system that required Jesus to be the ultimate high priest?

I hear what you're asking, but I don't think relationships, whether intimate or not, are so 'cut & dry'. Apart from the woman's feelings & permissions, the man has to conduct himself in a pure manner before God & within himself. What the Lord states in His Word is always clear & should be adhered to concerning our thoughts & acts towards another. The word 'lust' is not just a desire for something, it is something so deep that it consumes our thoughts, our actions, indeed affects our whole being. Lust for anything, whether for another person or something else, is wrong, & demonstrates a misplaced & imbalanced desire. And in the sexual realm, if allowed to grow, it can become very gripping & consuming, which is sin.

When it comes to ourselves, we have to determine whether it is a genuine love or lust we have, whether our feelings towards another that's engaging our minds conform to the pattern laid out for us in the Word, even if the woman is unaware of our feelings. If your desire is genuine, i.e. you sense love deep in your heart or from some confirmation by the Spirit, then it is appropriate to make it known to the woman. Of course, if she is already 'taken' or has indicated that she doesn't want to pursue any contact with you at that level, then you would have to submit to it & leave her alone without pressuring her. It comes down to whether in any relationship, we want to please the Lord in our desire & behaviour. So if the relationship is not to be, are we prepared to let go of it & believe that God has prevented it for some reason, having something else or something better for us? And in time, we may just see the Wisdom of God in all this, as to those who are indeed His precious children to whom He gives His best.

Yes, this is a difficult verse to place, given the context of the other verses around it. It is understood that God is now dealing with Moses on another issue. The first matter was about Moses giving excuses as to why he could not approach Pharaoh & speak God's Word to him. Moses eventually agreed to do it, given that Aaron would be his mouthpiece.

Then in verse 24, we find that God had some reason for taking Moses' life. It wasn't about the former matter but about Moses' neglect in circumcising his son. It may be because of his marriage to the Midianitish woman, Zipporah, & some issue of circumcision had come up that caused him to overlook or refuse to do this act. There could have been other (negative) dealings by God on this family as well, which then compelled Zipporah to take matter into her own hands (so to speak) & do the circumcising herself. Whatever it was, God seemed appeased by Zipporah's actions, that which Moses had failed to perform.

This song of Moses is given in the next chapter, Deuteronomy 32:1-43. Sometimes, to help God's Word to be held in memory in a better way & also to be passed onto succeeding generations, songs were employed.

John Carrols question was answered by a Michael. He errs on this subject. Although abstaining from 'things' and indulging heartily in the scriptures is of great value to the individual, it is not a fast. When Jesus speaks of fasting, it refers solely to food of any kind. No where in scripture is there a different meaning. If you are going to read the Bible, refrain from trying to decode its words. That's a big problem today, thinking we can change scripture the way we want it to mean. I have fasted many times, and the spiritual benefits from doing so, is difficult to convey to others. If you want to fast, read what Jesus says to do, and just do it.

And, remember this, prayer is a big part of your fast. Again, words of Christ. May he bless and guide you as you hunger for more of his blessings.

Those days can be shortened and it all depends on

The balance of humanity. The fact that you are alive in the third Dimension on this timeline qualifies each of us as the elect. GOD is no respect of persons .Should the evil outweigh the good, the tribulation and sorrows will remain until there is a greater balance of good. The days will be shortened because the the hearts of mankind will be purged through suffering. The day you were born you fell from a higher realm into judgement. We are judging ourselves everyday as a collective .When we Judge others we are really judging ourselves and we can't see the wisdom in that idea.the sins that you can see in others is only there to see the sins in your hearts.when you see evil in others please forgive them and then you will have forgiven yourself, because we are truly one .This is the message of christ. Dont wait for a final judgment ,judge yourself today with the forgiveness of Christ Jesus!...

How easy one forgets of others when they are no longer in the struggle. Hmm, I have to review that in my own life...

Thank you for your comments to help me understand that good can come out of a bad situation. It's a matter of perspective and putting a title on situations "Good" or "bad".

Chris: You are absolutely RIGHT! Romans 12:2 And be no conformed to this world. but be ye transformed by (through) the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. When reviewing the above scripture verse 22 of Luke 16 the angels carried him. I believe that GOD has angels to what he instructs. EZEKIEL 10:18-19. verse 23 of LUKE 16. " the rich man also died " I wonder if the the rich man blasphemed ( that is another scripture within the bible the WORD of GOD the GOD in the form of JESUS would send a person to hell for. Also within verse 24 we see , he cried and goes through family lineage he confesses and gives honor to GOD the Father and his torment continues. Also within that verse he reflect on the knowledge he learned and request for the person he disregard to give him water. The rich man recognizes where he will live for eternity. That provides the TRUTH of the LIVING WORD OF GOD that GOD ignited his cognitive remembrance so the rich man is tormented

You bring up a valid prespective. To the WORD of GOD. I believe that and after researching the WORD OF GOD. It provides specific instructions within the old testament of the proper way of disposing of dead people and their remains. I have to find it the scripture. Now it is 2021 the cremation would logically be safer. Because of the world and the nature of it. Also I think cremation also sends a bible prespective and sight to the Abraham and Lazarus. The cremation of 2021 is very different I believe from bible times. The TRUTH of current world. The cultivation of land is to be preserved. I think. Abraham stood his post within the scripture when speaking the word of GOD and the use of the word son and the reflection of his meanness and what he did to the Lazarus. Hell is real. Also Chris there is an art depiction of GOD and the TRUTH and HELL at 1stDIB it is from Italy, circa 1890 called Mannequin. We can see the scripture. 7:03 AM

Comments by Alex about John 1 v 13 KJV . Its actually speaking of a new Creature which is the H.G. our new INNERMAN. Its he that is Preordained before the world was NOT US .God wd not preordain satan our old adamic nature .Its that Christ that is born in US that was preordained before the world was . Thats y John said he that cometh after me is preferred before me. Thats the H.G that comes after us via the seed of Christ not our old adamic nature that is gona be destroyed with his baptism of fire and the H.G. My lil children of whom i travail in birth till Christ is formed in you,Its that Christ that is formed in us that was preordained before the world was, not our old adamic nature aka as the OLD MAN THE FLESH ,God's enemy is our OLD Adamic nature that is in rank with satan. God wd not preordaine satan , our old adamic nature. The only one preordained before the world was is Christ and his seed that is gona be planted in the hearts of everyman after the book is opened which is the NEW COVENANT. An Israel of God When Jesus will sow that good seed in the hearts of every man . God says he will know them ALL from the least to the greatest, Not like the old covenant .They shall no more teach their neighbor or their friends know the Lord ,They shall ALL KNOW ME AND THEIR SINS AND INIQUITIES WILL I Remember NO MORE. This is a much different covenant then the old covenant ,Thats y Jesus was saying if i be lifted up i will draw ALL MEN UNTO ME . Thats y that image in Daniel 2 is destroyed even tho it had a head of gold. It was not perfect, thus when that which is prefect is come that which is done in part will be done away with . k later

That's a great question Danae. It is one that has brought on many discussions & ideas over the years.

My belief is this: you're right that Mary & Joseph were ordinary human beings, though of course special as they were selected by God to bring forth His Son into the World. And in their humanity, they, like us, were born with a sin nature passed onto us from our first parents. And they would have sinned as well, though some would teach that they (specifically Mary) did not, since they were in every respect human as we are.

So why wouldn't baby Jesus also receive a sin nature like all of us? I see it this way: neither Mary or Joseph contributed to the conception of the babe. That is, Joseph certainly wasn't the father & Mary did not contribute her ovum to this conception. The Bible says in Luke 1:35, "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God."

I understand this verse to say that God, by His Spirit overshadowed Mary & placed this Holy Seed (one entirely from God without human intervention) into Mary's womb. So this Seed had not the nature that is passed down through mankind - it is a pure & Holy Seed. So couldn't God just zap Jesus onto the Earth & avoid all this human involvement? Well, the Scriptures speak of this Holy One coming, Who would be the Messiah, born in humanity ( 2 Samuel 7:12,13; Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2), so Jesus was born in fulfilment of all Scriptures, even the Sacrifices which spoke about His redemptive work. Yet, Jesus' Birth was without a sin nature so that He could ultimately be the Perfect Spotless Sacrifice for mankind. So Jesus was tempted of Satan ( Matthew 4:1-11), not to commit sin since He had no sin nature, but Satan wanted to cause the sin nature to be a part of Jesus, just as he did to Adam & Eve. But Jesus resisted this attempt & remained pure ( Hebrews 4:15).

Andrew, Are you suggesting Jesus lied about the condition of the rich man and Lazarus, a non fictional account of persons departed this world, as family members are still on Earth? And, neither of the two had been resurrected yet.
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 13:8 - 5 years ago
Sadly, No. There are many all over the world, especially amongst the tribals in various countries, that the Gospel hasn't gone out to yet. And there are many who have heard of Jesus, but have received information that is wrong & not according to what the Bible teaches. There is some work going on amongst the tribals in India, & may well be also in Africa, South America & East Asia, but that work is very difficult. Firstly, missionaries going to them need to be accepted by the tribe, they have to learn the language & develop a usable script & slowly begin to share the Truths that will free them from idolatrous or animistic beliefs. Many of God's servants are killed at the time of first contact but the Gospel still goes out & many get saved.

Mark 9:29: "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting." Jesus spoke these words to His disciples when they enquired from Him why they couldn't cast out the evil spirit from the child. However, some manuscripts omit the word "fasting", whereas the KJV which is primarily from the Textus Receptus manuscript includes it.

Thank you to those that comment relating to the chapter just read. All others posting unrelated or future chapters / books just confuses me as a newcomer. Doing bible in a year. Day 12.

We went from Israel (Jacob) story to now Judah. Not sure who Judah is relating to Jacob or we are starting a new story.

Interesting that Judah did not have same fate as his first two sons and she seemed the common denominator for their deaths.
